3881  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does exist the "Tesla conspiracy" in hide the cases of burned cars? on: April 05, 2017, 11:56:41 AM
I dont believe that there are issues on Tesla conspiracy on the cases of burned cars. There is no connection between any of teslas ideas to the car incidents. Using commons sense and logic the probable reasons to the burning cars was electrical malfunctions. But anyway whatever the reasons the company owners should collect all cars and double check for system errors.
3882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: April 05, 2017, 10:35:58 AM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?
i think bitcoin would not be replace by another cryptocurrency because of its popularity and its features.but if the another currency which would more advance than bitcoin, and having more features than bitcoin could be replace.
you know something is going to be replaced, if the goods are already obsolete or less competitive to other products "for example Nokia" is very likely that bitcoin will lose competitiveness right?

But prior to that before bitcoin will lose its competitiveness there should be a crucial and devastating event before bitcoin will suffer such event. But anyways it will not occur to bitcoin since as you notice even after huge  has recovered fast unlike. Aside from that there are no more bubbles and the increase in bitcoin is a display of strength and trust of people towards it.
3883  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fires of high voltage batteris in HEV and EVs. on: April 04, 2017, 01:53:34 PM

Wow if that is the reality for electric cars then it is much better to not purchase it now since there are major flaws that can endanger our lives. But if in case the company can find ways to upgrade the car and finding solutions to solve the major issues such as burning then probably that is the time that I will buy an electric car.
3884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: April 04, 2017, 01:51:03 PM
Don't invest anywhere who promises you enormous profit in very short time, ponzi scheems ans so called easy money in general. I would also avoid gambling. Although it might look tempting it's very easy to lose money then to,earn it. Good choice could be altcoin trading, lending on Poloniex and investing in shares.
to me i think the best opiton is to hold bitcoin and not to invest it anywhere. i think by holding bitcoin we can get a got a good profit as there are more chances that bitcoin price will increase in next few moths.

If you do not have the skills in investing, gambling and trading then the best thing to do really is to buy bitcoins and just to hold it in your wallet. This is the safest thing but very profitable kind of technique that you can do only with bitcoin. And another thing it is safer to hold the coins in bitfinex since they will refund your coins if it will be hacked.
3885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex has raised enough funds to reimburse users from last year hack! on: April 04, 2017, 01:46:21 PM
Bitfinex has announced it has raised enough funds to reimburse all users affected by last year’s hack in a move Erik Voorhees (ShapreShift CEO) called “fucking amazing.”

Bitfinex caused a stir in August 2016 after hackers stole 120,000 Bitcoins, worth at the time around $70 mln.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitfinex-recapitalization-is-fcking-amazing-voorhees and https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/198

That is good to hear and finally those victims of the hack can now smile again. Hope there will be no technical problems during the refund so all can claim back their refund. The only question left in my head is this, will they refund the amount of satoshi or btc lost or they will refund as per value of bitcoins. If they will refund only as per value of bitcoin then there is something fishy.
3886  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: April 04, 2017, 01:42:36 PM
I became so if the price is high bitcoin buy homes to live with my family.
may result from this bitcoin I would investment after buying a house.

thanks bitcoin.

That is the dream that I have for years. I have thought that by saving some bitcoins I could finally construct a house on my own for my family. But the problem lies not on the value of bitcoin but rather my savings was spent due to important necessities and right now I am not sure that if the price of bitcoin reaches sky high I can construct my house.
3887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: April 04, 2017, 01:35:14 PM
Make them feel envy, I will let them see my earnings online with bitcoin that I can really make money online for free. I will explain to them until they realize that they are missing the great opportunity now. I will show to him the uses of bitcoin and he can apply on related features and services.

That isnt working either I have coworkers that I tried to explain bitcoin almost everyday and they can see me cashing out hundreds of dollars weekly but still they just appreciate my earnings but not working it out. It is possibly due to the mindset of people, people who are business minded people are most likely to invest in bitcoins than those who are not. So as to not waste time it is much better to explain bitcoin to business minded individuals especially to those who have a good background on online business.
3888  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Initial Coin Offering for political party, would you support it? on: April 04, 2017, 01:26:46 PM
Overall, I would say that blockchain and crypto currencies are a great way to create political party, solving global international issues. What place should it be discussed, if not here?

Would you support ICO of political party, which will lobby interests of block chain community?
Internationally, across different countries. Such party can be based on Ethereum smart contracts and managed as DAO for example.

Such party can support and promote:
- Visa-free travelling
- Free education
- Equal life quality level worldwide
- Discussion and removal of all sharp question
- Technological fixing of security issues, globally
- Global medical care
- Removal of military forces worldwide
- Global democracy

Do you have direct influence on EU or UN council selection process? No! But in case of distributed, international, anonymous, blockchain-based political party one can do it. Yes, probably it will have its own specifics and will be quite capitalistic, because it will be managed as DAO at first stages at least. But that all can be fixed as well.

There are many altcoins that uses the name of the running candidate for presidency so they will gain popularity and will earn big. During their ICO's they will introduce themselves as a coin in support of the running candidate for presidency and that a percentage of the earnings from that coin will help and support the fundings of the candidate. The famous alternative coins that uses president names were Trump coins, Stalin coin, Putin coins and lastly the latest coin the LEPEN coin.
3889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Confidential Assets': Blockstream Reveals New Bitcoin Privacy Tech on: April 04, 2017, 01:15:45 PM
Bitcoin startup Blockstream has unveiled new technology for shielding data on a blockchain.
Expanding on an old technique used to hide transaction amounts, the company has developed a new scheme dubbed 'confidential assets'
to conceal the types of assets in a transaction. Revealing just how the tech works, the startup has released a new paper yesterday,
co-authored by Blockstream developers Andrew Poelstra, Adam Back, Mark Friedenbach, Greg Maxwell and Pieter Wuille.

Using confidential assets, viewers of a blockchain would be able to see a transaction's senders and receivers, but not what kind of asset
is traded – whether bitcoin, stocks, gold, or something else.

Do you think confidentiality is important for blockchain technology adoption?
o
In my opinion we need confidentiality in doing transactions as it serves as our protection from people who are good at doing bad things. For people who have a huge amount of bitcoin and has done huge transactions secrecy does not only protect their assets but also protect their life. But this features will be limited to the users only and will be available for show to the government in case there is a need to check our accounts or transactions.
3890  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: April 04, 2017, 01:08:00 PM
It would be even more popular as a currency with a stable price, but in order to have a stable price it will need a much larger market cap first.

A global currency that is used widely around the world can never have a stable price if it doesn't at least have a market cap of about a trillion dollars.

You are correct in that area and I believe that for bitcoin to reach a stable price it must become an official legal tender of the world. Being stable in value means that bitcoin is already accepted and being used as replacement to fiat currency. By using simple logic bitcoins stability in value means that it is already used by all people around the world and bitcoin will not just be popular people will crave for it.

London bishop and accomplice jailed over sexual assaults

According to this Metropolitan Police report, Egbujor was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for the sexual assault and four months, to be served consecutively, for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He was found not guilty of one count of sexual assault.

Nwenwu was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for sexual assault and three years, to be served concurrently, for helping and encouraging Egbujor.

The offences took place from March 2011 to January 2013, at the centre.

http://freethinker.co.uk/2017/04/01/london-bishop-and-accomplice-jailed-over-sexual-assaults/

This is purely taking advantage of your position in the church. How can a so called "bishop" can do this? This world is so fu**ed up.

Even Bishops are human beings capable of doing mistakes against oneself and other people. When temptation strikes hard then even the most religious man in the world will surely have a hard time coping with it. This even just shows that the bishop was lacking in prayers and the people around him does not pray for him thus letting him weak and fall short when the temptation kicks in.
3892  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: April 04, 2017, 12:52:33 PM
Well I would really choose bitcoin over zcash,
Well I am not really interested in other coin right now so I would only stick to bitcoin.

Zcash is not that valuable and is prone to crash but bitcoin on the other hand is tested and proven to be strong and will give us good profit. Bitcoins value is projected to reach 2000$ by the end of this year and many people are expecting that. After the big challenges that bitcoin has faced in the past months bitcoin has recovered fast and it proves that it has become stronger than ever.
3893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Scaling Solutions SegWit2MB, Extension Blocks Vie For Popularity on: April 04, 2017, 12:49:06 PM
Two new scaling solutions, SegWit2MB and extension blocks, are getting praise and scorn from Bitcoin’s best-known names.
Segregated Witness implementation with 2-megabyte blocks, itself not a new concept, is gathering prominence now after Bitcoin security engineer Sergio Lerner introduced it to the Core mailing list.
While not a “perfect” solution either technically or politically, Lerner notes, it goes some way towards being a compromise in an increasingly stagnant scaling debate deadlock.

What is your comment on this?

When segwit is approved we will have no need for any consensus since they will automatically adjust the blocksize limit and capacity. But what kind of choice do we have but to accept segwit and all the solutions they made. Even if we present our ideas there is no helping it that the future of bitcoin now rests on the shoulder of segwit.  And by the way any kind of scaling solution  will do as long as segwit can solve the current issues and problems within bitcoin network.
3894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who should be in control of Bitcoin's blocksize (poll) on: April 04, 2017, 12:41:47 PM
It is better we maintain the developers as the devil you know is better than the Angel you don't know.

Let us promote the UASF so we the bitcoin holders can dictate as to what changes we can implement on bitcoin since it is our investment that is at risk in it. But I dont know when will it come to reality and thus at this moment I will be supporting the core developers since I have no choice due to the following reasons: 1. It is much safer than Hardfork, 2. Our exchange in our country only accepts bitcoin from the core developers..

Cult Shadow Gov Arrested, End Of U.S Dollar World Reserve Currency What Really Happened Last Week!

Cool

The American dollar have been the official legal tender of the world for almost two centuries and if there will be sufficient reasons as to its fall then there is no surprise since that is the natural flow of currency and economics. If in case it will fall then we must prepare and consider as to what fiat currency will replace its seat when it falls into ruin.
3896  Economy / Economics / Re: It's Time To Get Painfully Honest: Banks Are Evil on: April 04, 2017, 11:51:44 AM
Banks will certainly get more powerful and "evil" since they control the money supply. After reading Animal Farm a long time ago, I've come to believe that if the present crop of bank owners are done away with, a newer and more evil set will come on the scene.

Even bitcoin that enjoys decentralisation is slowly caving in to control by the miners. A typical example is the ongoing hard fork issue. It's a human thing, though not acceptable. We all owe it to God to be true to His Word, and to ourselves to live according to our values. Only then will we see men and women who are able and willing to use the vast resources available to them for the betterment of the less priviledged
As long as people remain greedy all of its system and activities will also be corrupt and evil. Human greed has set record in the course of human history and is the reason for the thousands of death and suffering of human population. Rest assured that bitcoin will have a high tendency to be also plac d under the control of the greedy and corrupt people.
3897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Erik Voorhees: SegWit should be activated on: April 04, 2017, 08:49:38 AM
Erik Voorhees: SegWit should be activated, the sooner the better, and I'll support any plan that moves it forward.

Well I hate to admit it but bitcoin needs to bring back its reputation the sooner as possible. This way bitcoin supporters will not migrate into other altcoins as their trust was wavered due to fear and panic that bitcoin will crash. Aside from that we need to make the transactions faster and efficient since countries are already adopting the use of bitcoin and to make the use of bitcoin in local shops possible.
3898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: April 04, 2017, 08:36:25 AM
If bitcoin completely gets banned in future then I think it will create an havoc in the minds of the people and will loose all their money and it will be very hard for those who have invested huge amount of money and it may even make them bankrupt and will become difficult for them to survive.

You bet, of course all the bitcoin users around the world won't let such thing happen, we will shout out our opinions about this and we won't stop until bitcoin is going to be unbanned, which is I'm very sure that is going to happen if this thing will really happen in the near future. Because all the hard works, efforts, time that we spent in earning bitcoin would just be a waste if the Government will banned it for their own reason.

So, if we can do anything about it, for the success of bitcoin, then this thing won't be a problem in the near future, we will support bitcoin no matter what.
We will support Bitcoin, But once the governament take the decision, we can't oppose their decision. It will become a national issue. And the governament wll give a valid reason why they banned Bitcoin. In that time we can't do anything. Because the Bitcoin users are very less in all countries. In this situation, the govt will not care for our appeal.

That will be disastrous and bitcoin could not longer be useful to any citizens if the government banned bitcoin in almost all country in the world. But bitcoin will continue to exist and it will be only continue to be used in the black market as a medium of exchange between illegal traders and syndicates. But this thing could not happen since we all witness how Singapore, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines are moving towards the adoption of bitcoin as a form of financial payment in their political jurisdiction.
3899  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: April 04, 2017, 08:26:05 AM
My prediction is that would be almost the same with others, the price will be able to reach $2,000 for this year.

But before that it will be having hard time before it reach there and for the mid year the price will be landing at $1,500.

And it will stay day for a longer time before it will rapidly pump to $2k.

Its a disappointing event when bitcoin was seemingly climbing to reach 1500$ in value a dump happened due to panic caused by hardfork and bitcoin split issues. But again we are now back on the right track and hopefully by may we can see bitcoin kicking 1500$ in value and luckily by the end of December we will see the shining stars when the value hits 2000$.
3900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we tried out Lightning tonight at ROOM77 on: April 04, 2017, 08:05:57 AM
For many years now we have been accepting Bitcoin (with zero confirmations and directly, not through Bitpay) at our bar/restaurant in Berlin. Today we have deployed a testnet lightning node and accept testnet coins via the lightning network from a few customers to get a glimpse into the future. And that future looks shining bright!

- No more waiting for the customer's transaction being broadcasted, transactions arrive in milliseconds, not seconds (or sometimes minutes in case the customer uses coinbase or another bank wallet).
- No more looking out for double spend attacks. Not even Peter Todd is going to RBF us on LN.
- No more confusion during times of malleabillity attacks. Transaction malleabillity is a thing of the past.
- Massively advanced privacy for us as well as our customers as only we can see the transactions on our payment channel.
- And we will finally be able to offer free-of-cost payments to our customers.

As a merchant I can tell you that every merchant on the planet wants this stuff. It is like after all these years Bitcoin shows that with LN it can live up to its promises in regards to efficiency, speed, irreversibility and privacy no matter how many people will use it.

Thanks to all the developers making this possible!

edit: pics http://imgur.com/a/64iwK

reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/62uw23/lightning_network_is_working_room77_is_accepting/

If that is real that the clients does not need any more to wait for confirmation then that is a very good news to all of us bitcoin users. It maybe time for the merchants to come in and accept bitcoin without having to worry slow confirmation of transactions which very unpleasant. But the users also hope that with this automatic confirmation the fees will not sting us and instead enjoy lower fees compared to the fees at this moment.
