3881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 10, 2020, 09:53:48 AM
You gambled regularly with your salary?
Well, you shouldn't have gambled with what you can't afford to lose, in my opinion. I will probably invest more in things that can sustain me during a crisis. If you plan things out somewhere, you wouldn't be too worried like others. I think people should be invest more in safe/important things more, and less on risky stuff. Things like food/fruits/vegs, decentralized crypto, small water filters, torch/matches/lighter, survival information, etc
3882  Economy / Gambling / Re: LAMBOWEI.COM | Interactive art on the blockchain, EARN X2 THIS CHRISTMAS! on: March 10, 2020, 08:49:38 AM
Interesting.
Is this over already?
I guess participants will need to be good artists to participate... or is anyone qualified to join to work on available projects? And what happens if someone pays and paint where shouldn't be painted on? Do you have standard or rules everyone will need to follow.
I guess you will need permission from the owners of the images before selling.
3883  Other / Off-topic / Re: My understanding of what "Blockchain/decentralized *Immutablity*" means on: March 10, 2020, 08:34:09 AM
By the way, anyone who doesn't want immutablity, can always use projects that are mutable. I guess it's a matter of choice, if you can handle the disadvantage or implications of using mutable decentralized system.. . It has its advantages too.
Some like myself would just prefer using immutable Blockchain/decentralized system when necessary. There are things that probably won't need to be immutable.
3884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin mining a problem of wasting energy? No on: March 10, 2020, 07:33:21 AM
I really understand the security aspect of PoW, which is why am a bit careful when PoW is being criticized. I just think this shouldn't be ignored at the expense of the environment, decentralization and earth natural resources for making mining hardware.
We don't need to hold on strongly to something that could become worse in energy consumption than alot of other similar things... and worse still, make the community filled with guilt when confronted.
3885  Other / Off-topic / My understanding of what "Blockchain/decentralized *Immutablity*" means on: March 10, 2020, 06:19:31 AM
In my opinion, it's simply a community or someone deciding to keep very important things unchanged. It's expected that things are well coded or done to make changing them almost impossible.
The records are very useful for a community/person, and should remain unchanged.
You could however as an individual hide the records properly within a decentralized community unless they are needed by something or someone that is truely privacy-friendly.

I prefer immutable Blockchain/decentralized public system.     The owner of the data could hide the data by breaking it into pieces or through some other privacy-friendly means. We will need to see how difficult/easy it is to denonymize a person's hidden data with a  decentralized system if the owner uses "breaking or splitting method". And it will be interesting to see how much members of a community of, let say, 100million people, can be deanonymized over a period of time.
3886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 08, 2020, 04:40:44 PM
Not just porn, money from bribery, fornication, corruption, steal, hacking,  cheating, adultery, injustice , lying, hate, abuse, cheating, drunkenness, fear mongering, pedophilia, killing, conspiracy, etc are all bad for Bitcoin. They should all be tackled... not just tackle one, while leaving out the other. That is hypocrisy.
Hopefully, we will have a perfect decentralized community/communities that detect all those sins and automatically isolate the money and the sinners. The sinners are kept somewhere safe to repent and have GOD rule over their lives...then the tainted money is destroyed, and a new one printed as replacement. Accepted?
3887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 08, 2020, 01:19:41 PM
I think you'll convince people quicker if you add real proofs to your accusation. I am not sure if I have used any of the exchanges, but doing things this way will encourage others to make false accusation if they want to.
Besides, people should reduce their usage of unsafe exchanges. Exchanges that adhere to Bitcoin/Blockchain principles are safer in my opinion.
3888  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: March 08, 2020, 12:55:30 PM
Whats the point??? There is no evidence paper money can transmit the virus. It is person to person contact. Burning cash is a hysterical thing to do!! Everyone making mountains out of molehills about this Coronavirus stuff. The common flu will kill more people!!! People freak out just because there is no vaccine, thats all.

Some may accuse you of things you didn't even think about... so it just better to let governments/people do what they believe is safe for them...I honestly hope it works
You tell friends the right way to minimize the issue, they call you a bigots or starts playing some childish trolling games on you.
3889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] ABF COMVA : DECENTRALIZED INVESTMENT PLATFORM on: March 08, 2020, 10:38:17 AM
WARNING

There is a scam accusation against this project. They have plagiarized large portions of their white paper, which means it is likely to be a scam project. It is recommended that everyone stay away from this.
So copying some white paper is a signal of a "scam" Huh
LMAO
What about many coins that are launched every day ?
Have a look at FT1, now thats a clear scam and no warning banner.

Copying words for words, or copying ideas from crypto-based whitepaper? Well, I assume it depends on the creators of the whitepaper, (if they want their ideas to be copied or not). Besides, crypto communities are expected to share/borrow ideas.
So, it's better to see what others can do with your work when they copy and modify it. And it's not moral or ethical to prevent others who want to copy from you what you copied from others in real decentralized crypto communities.

It's clearly wrong to copy a whitepaper word for word. Probably better to read a crypto-project whitepaper, and create an original concept (with reasonable modifications), whether it's a bit similar in tech or not.
3890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's break our boundaries with Bitcoin on: March 08, 2020, 09:52:22 AM
Well, Bitcoin does not really eliminate cash. People could in theory have a standard physical things to print their coins on and use as cash.

The most important thing is that using paper currency isn't very safe at this moment.
If people decide to use cash-based Bitcoin/Cryptocoins to transact businesses in the future, it should still be legal. Whether cashless becomes the major way to transact businesses in the future is upto to people, depending on which means is truely safe for users and societies.
3891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 08, 2020, 09:34:16 AM
Well, people should avoid the crowded places like that when necessary, until everything calms down again.
By the way, the physical casinos and other crowded places like that could also provide enough hand sanitizer and other hygiene stuff close to those machines for people to use.,
3892  Economy / Gambling / Re: SurvivalBet: casino with surviving game.🎲 Can be played without deposit 💰 on: March 08, 2020, 08:58:57 AM
Interesting.
Players don't play with their funds at all, or what exactly? Or they start with little amount couple with the free bets?
What coin are the rewards paid in? Bitcoin, stellar coin (I don't remember the exact name of stellar blockchain coin) or casino's native coin? More info needed here.
By the way, I wonder how effective stellar provable fair is.
3893  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: March 08, 2020, 08:14:18 AM
Countries should probably consider the plastic notes too. People could always wash them when they get home.
I  wonder why the plastic ones are not that popular. Guess they are easy to counterfeit, right? Can't the makers attach things in the plastic notes to make them hard to counterfeit?
3894  Other / Off-topic / Re: Float the sahara !! on: March 08, 2020, 07:42:27 AM
I think  ideas to make that place green should be well researched before they are implemented.

But, I seriously believe if it is the will of the OWNER of this world that that place won't be green again, there is nothing we mere mortals can do about it.... unless the OWNER wants us to do some certain things right before we proceed with the implementation of our ideas.
3895  Other / Off-topic / It's a good thing to accord cryptocurrency founders their well deserved respect on: March 08, 2020, 07:23:50 AM
In my opinion, it's important to always consult them when necessary.
Their opinions matters alot, as long as they don't end up moving against decentralization principles/ideals.

Even though they are not above the community, their  ideas and principles is important/valuable, and should be taken seriously, as long as they don't derail.

Not wise to push them away while trying to keep things decentralized.
Posting this because I worry it may happen in the future
3896  Other / Politics & Society / My thoughts on the open/close border debates. on: March 07, 2020, 05:37:29 AM
Borders are there to protect societies from dangers, lawbreakers, potential lawbreakers. etc... they are not there to prevent the innocent from coming in.
If an innocent person jumps through your fence to escape a robbery, dangers, etc would you accept him/her or not?  Ofcourse, you will, unless you are unnecessarily a hardened person. But you will need to be sure he/she is telling the truth. And you'll need to shelter that person until he/she feels safe to leave.

One the reasons I am bringing this up is to be able to deal with the issue easily in decentralized world. Decentralization,  permissionless and trustlessness will need to be maintained with little to no risk to communities.    Besides, we are heading to a point where people will see the need for both open and close border. And those who fail to do things the proper way during that time will be in trouble.
3897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Bitcoin Mining Machine. on: March 06, 2020, 03:24:41 PM
The plant is only accessible for any bitcoin machine, so it means that there will be no traffic in the transactions of the bitcoin in New York because they already have a generator for the bitcoin machine.

Can you expound more on what you mean here? Did you mean that Bitcoin transactions in New York are faster because of this "Bitcoin Mining Machine"? Because that's not how it works.

Probably talking about dedicated power plant solely for mining Bitcoin. Or maybe he/she thinks that adequate miners in an area will enhance its transaction speed or something. Or he meant no other cryptocurrency will compete with Bitcoin for electricity in that area?
3898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The death of deflationary tokens on: March 06, 2020, 02:50:36 PM
I think the reason why OP was about deflation tokens is because investors are obsessed with them after bomb token gives many early adopters the biggest profits of their lives, facts about deflation tokens is they have no other usefulness than this deflation shit

You could actually make anything with similar feature as real cryptocurrency  deflationary. That thing will need to be scare, valuable, durable, long-lasting, hard/expensive to counterfeit etc. But it could end up being dump/abondoned with very low price by most users if it not actually useful, easy to use, unique, etc.
Some tokens will remain deflationary as long as they're useful, safe and have good demand.
3899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: March 06, 2020, 10:52:15 AM
Listed on coinmarketcap?  I don't know about this project, but I am wondering if the telegram is hacked or something.
You probably should report it to telegram or find their announcement thread on this forum(if they have any) and inform the mods about its activity on Telegram. I really wonder why such scams are not quickly dealt with on platforms of big companies
3900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is AMFEIX a Scam? on: March 06, 2020, 10:09:10 AM
What exactly is the company (I guess it's a centralized crypto company) trying to build?

Well, people should probably start funding crypto projects in decentralized manner. and there should be high standards set for new projects before they get funded.
By the way, funds should not be controlled by projects. In my opinion, funding should be released  bit by bit as projects gradual fufil their development contracts.
Wish funders could just fund projects bit by bit via wallets they fully control. Imagine if funders could just lock certain amount of money in their personal wallets, set uniform conditions in form of contract for developers to meet, & get automated and gradual releases of funds from funders wallets as they fulfill the contracts.
