3881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2020, 08:19:46 AM
No dramas for the Europa league, at least as far as my bet slip was concerned, I had Benfica, Real Sociedad, Arsenal, Rangers and Leciester all to win for slightly over 10x odds, Fortunately and unfortunately for me, I cashed out my bet after 29 minutes, just before Leceister took the lead and eventually won the game.

Real Sociedad won the game in injury time too, I would have cashed out at the time already with Arsenal Benfica and Rangers all won already,,, what made you stay on and then not wait for Leicester? Good games in Europe but now back to the league. I hope Spurs and Bale get all fit and fired up!
3882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: October 23, 2020, 06:56:45 AM
And when we make a transaction, Ethereum only takes a few seconds.

Clearly someone who has never used Ethereum before haha,,, the problem with Ethereum which even Bitcoin never had is that many times there are periods when the network is totally down. Does not matter the fee you pay, nodes just go offline or did not catch up. Happened many times to me. Few seconds:)
3883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of Defi hype! Time to invest in real business with real products? on: October 22, 2020, 02:44:35 PM
DeFi in the first place is not sustainable in the long run. People liked DeFi because of greed, for the high returns while not taking into account the inflationary characteristic of this scheme. This will be realized in the long run.
But on the other end, it started a bull run that affected the market as a whole, even non-DeFi coins had great gains.

This has always been clear from the beginning,,, that Defi has never been made to be long term and sustainable. Every thing about it was about boom and hype, even from the earliest ones. But people know this. And they knew this since ICO days!

Real products? People all know this.

Dembele is a risky investment, he is young but he is always injured.
He costs a lot of money, he has a big salary and he has a childish mentality on what they are saying.

Do you really want this kind of player in your team?

More than anything I think the mentality is what harms people like Dembele (and I think to me also a small extent Pogba). You know even with injury prone people if you manage them well you give them back confidence to even play through minor pains. Some players though,,, they just break so easily with some setbacks. Dembele is talented but he is forever haunted by his mentality.
3885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does having a lot of investing money make trading for a living much easier? on: October 22, 2020, 12:54:44 PM
I doubt whales wouldn't worry about money, there was a book from Kevin O'leary famous shark tank investor and he talked about his past and how he became a rich person, and I could tell you that when he sold his company and put his money in investment instead of starting something new, he lost a big chunk of money once, and when that happened he was furious and very upset over it and he said he cried all night about it (don't know how real that is) and that is why I think whales do care about their money as well.

They might actually care about it more than you and me, if I ever crash and get poor, I am not too rich to crash too much money, in the end I will recover after few years, but when a super wealthy whale loses money, he becomes poor and that is not something you can regain so its the end for him.

It is probably not true. He probably got greedy and lost a bit of money but no whale ever puts everything all in one basket,,, that is what makes them whales. I have seen and heard all kind of people talk about their experiences with money and you always hear about the sad stories from rich people, but they never sound real. We know real people stories and they are dark. Simple. No tears. Fear.
3886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 22, 2020, 12:23:36 PM
The defeat of Real Madrid is the last trophy of their old squad. Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Benzama, they have been in their downhill sides and from their forms in a few matches this season in La Liga and in Champions League, the Blancos' board can prepare for a season without a single trophy.

Last season, the trophy in La Liga makes people thought that the squad still be strongth to fight for trophy like what happened in Barcelona when they won their last Champions League. Now a few seasons later, Barcelona officially show their troubles and can not be fixed in a matter of season. Real Madrid are facing same problems.

I have to shake my head at all of these thoughts. City wins many cups and sweeps the league, one season later people are saying they are shit,,, Barca win Champions League and next season fail people say they are shit. Real won the league last season and now people say they are shit. Liverpool won last season and now they are shit.

Spurs, my own team. Reach finals one season and next we get Poch fired. The world is crazy.
3887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Darkside Hackers donating Bitcoins on: October 22, 2020, 10:50:31 AM
I really do not know why these hackers decided to actually announce their donations:) I mean, if they truly wanted to give it to charity, why did they not do it? Are they maybe afraid they are close to getting caught and just trying to use this as a way to show they are actually good guys? I like steal from rich and give to poor too, but usually Robin Hood does not announce it;)

Looks like a lot of people are now watching all these October 31st expiring bets. Really great odds on some but anything can still happen in the remaining days, Bitcoin and Ether are seriously now projecting bullish expectations. Eth now about to touch $400 again, Bitcoin trying to push back above new highs. What a year!
3889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New Crypto Coin FORKS Facebook Libra and PARTNERS W/ Google?? on: October 22, 2020, 08:52:34 AM
Tokens with huge partnerships do not seem to attract investors or affect market price these days anymore,,, just look at Ripple (XRP) with every big bank on board or look at TRON which keeps partnering and buying up huge partners and still they are struggling in market:)
3890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 22, 2020, 08:11:15 AM
Spurs meet LASK tonight so that is really the only game I am interested in. We have been scoring so freely these days but I do not know how the 3-3 draw will affect us, losing 3 goals in 10 minutes is a big big disappointment,,, LASK gave a lot of problems to Manchester United last season if I remember well!

Picks anyone?
3891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Im planning to invest in Ethereum. Is this a good plan? on: October 21, 2020, 04:18:09 PM
I think it's a good plan. ethereum is a well-known and reliable coin. The chain is developing day by day. I think it will pay off in the long run. There is no coin in the market that I trust as much as it is.

That is the most boring plan (not as boring as holding Bitcoin but in the class of alts, for sure). But boring is good in crypto. You want a reliable development, slow and steady growth. Not so much hype and pump just slow, slow progress. ETH 2.0 is coming like a turtle but it is coming:)
3892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 21, 2020, 03:04:01 PM
+1 to that, just take a look at James Rodriguez at Everton right now, it looked like his career was over at real Madrid, as he went on different loans, but didn't really shine, nor did he get himself back in form, but since he moved to Everton and reunited with a manager he loves to work with: Carlo Ancelloti, his performances in the four games Everton have played this season have been outstanding and imo, thus far he's looked like the best player in the epl (I mean in the games played so far).

I feel really bad for teenagers with such bright prospects but who end up getting shifted around and around and then they get older and never play. James is doing so well at Everton but remember, they also bought Moise Kean,,, who was a superstar for Italy and then now he got sold again to PSG where hopefully he does something.
3893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: October 21, 2020, 01:56:58 PM
Before the pandemic, people can invest most of money in bitcoin or altcoins.
Pandemic was announced, they cashed out to fiat.
Pandemic and news did no longer fear them, they invested in hype DeFi and lost their money.

I thought many people made bad decisions to invest in scam projects and recent months, DeFi are their top choices.

Yes,,, and the cashing out, it happened not just for Bitcoin but for all stocks and oil etc,,, the fact is when you are faced with economic issues, you need money in your hands. That was natural. Then as soon as things stabilized those who had extra money bought right into the dip again and here we are now above $12k.
3894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: October 21, 2020, 12:41:45 PM
How about losing money? For sure it would really add up some stress because even if you do say that it doesnt really matter but as a human where emotion is a bit fragile ---cut.

Which really is the entire point of when people repeatedly advice,,, never put in more than what you can afford to lose. What people do not realize this really means is, put in money you are prepared to lose. In fact, expect that you will lose it.

Then the stress is not part of the equation:)
3895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies have the lowest transaction fees? on: October 21, 2020, 12:02:34 PM
One of the most significant concerns people have about a trading platform and exchanging cryptocurrencies involves the transaction fees. Many crypto options have high charges, while others aren’t as dramatic. You’d have to look around to find the lowest transaction fees on the market if you want to find something worthwhile.

And then people moved to DEXs or whatever you want to call those Uniswap sushiswap places,,, and found out they pay super high transaction fees anyway;)

The solution has to be 2-layer movements of funds and payments for exchanges, whether DEX or CEX.
3896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 Ways I'm EARNING PASSIVE INCOME with Cryptocurrency 💲 on: October 21, 2020, 10:03:22 AM
I know money makes money so millionaires sleep while their wealth keeps making them even more money but I highly doubt the majority of them are using apps to keep track of their money or mining and yield farming;p

I mean, no need to compare us to them,,, staking and yield farming and all this is not sustainable. Earn more tokens, but not more dollars, is the result.
3897  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: October 21, 2020, 08:22:47 AM
Would you realistically ever consider using any of those players? I know I would not since we don't have budget limits. Budget limits would be a nice addition to introduce some variety in our squads. This way we will all have Messi, Ronaldo, Salah teams soon enough.

Agree. Could we make it that you have money limits or points limits or make it so we can only choose 1 team per position/player?

By the way, what is Match Day 1 and Match Day 2? Could we list out all the teams? I see Match Day 2 open already is that for tonight or for next week? I made my selections all thinking Match Day 1 was yesterday and tonight.
3898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 21, 2020, 06:58:54 AM
What a game night last night but PSG did they not also lose their first game in group stage to English team before? Not the first time and they should probably still make it out of this group stage safely,,, maybe even take revenge at Old Trafford.

Dortmund are looking very bad this season.
3899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do think about skill games? on: October 20, 2020, 12:06:43 PM
A gambler who has skills will make blackjack, poker, or other card games as their favorite gambling games because they can use their skills to beat the opponent. They will prefer to play the gambling games base on the skills than to use the base of the game on the luck because they think that they will have a chance to win if they play the games that base on the skills.

Yep,,, I always see the same few names play in poker if I enter, so it is very clear that those with a bit of skill can beat the average population and make their games +EV (by taking other player pots early and taking tournament prize cash). I wish I was as good in such card games but I know my place:) No skill means gamble just for fun;)
3900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think we have more bounty hunters now because of the pandemic on: October 20, 2020, 10:51:31 AM
Looking at the current economic situation wherein it is not easy to find a new job and those who have jobs are struggling to keep it, I think a lot of people have shifted to online earning opportunities.

Since, bounty hunting is another way of making money online I think there has been an increase in number of people joining this forum as bounty hunter.

At present Bounty hunting is not as profitable as it used to be a few years back but the chance of earning something to nothing is still a good option.

I think a lot of people are TRYING to shift online but there are still not yet a lot of opportunities unless you are in a developed country,,, plus another thing to think about is that not even many who do get the chance will be able to adapt to their new realities. Working remotely is about having discipline which a lot of people simply cannot instil. Bounty hunting even encourages this lazy attitude.
