Starters / solid 5 from both sides might be Erram, K. Williams, Poguy, Castro and M.Williams, while for SMB, they might start with Perez, Ross, Lassiter, Tau and Fajardo.

TNT can't afford to sit out Castro in this game so i think they will let him play as this will be the last game for this conference. Looks like history repeats itself on TNT on their championship series against Ginebra the last two years where Castro was injure or it was Parks (not sure) and they lost that series so maybe SMB will take the crown tonight.

To be sure, i'm taking the ML as they would be a defense-oriented game and a low scoring game so the winning margin for this game might not be wide.

Same here, I have a bet on ML on SMB, I don't like to complicate things as this is a game 7, do or die so not going to bet on the handicap or the over/under.

Just put good value bet on ML like what you did and you are good to go and sit and see how it goes. I think JunMar will play very good in this last game.

So best of luck for those who are going to support SMB tonight.

That looks easy, getting that ML odds is good if you really think that SMB will win here 100%.

No Castro, TNT will struggle here, I'm thinking, maybe they'll win the first half but SMB will dominate the 2nd half.
TNT would lose its consistency without Jayson Castro, so that's the scenario I'm seeing.

good luck @bisdak40

Yeah, ML and handicap, SMB covered it. Give credit to Castro, savvy veteran but SMB is just too much for TNT, in the 4th quarter alone, SMB outscored them, 17-0 run and that's it, TNT can't recovered from that.

So congrats to those who back up SMB again, nothing to be ashamed for TNT's performance this conference, this should be another learning experienced for them. And as I have expected, Junmar had a another stellar performance and MVP awards to boot.

Between Skale Network, Satoshi Island or Lido Dao which one do you think will be better investment in this bear market.

There is no better investment in this bear market except solid solid coins like ETH, BNB, and ADA and any other altcoins that is in the top 10 or maybe top 20.

I'm not saying that those projects that you mentioned will not yield you profit. It might, but it could be just a simply pump and dump scheme. And so when that happens, you just hope that you are awake when the dump occurs because if not then you are going to missed the boat.

So to have a better sleep, I would go with my suggested coin, they are still very cheap in this bear market, just have patience and mentality to HODL and wait for the next bull run to occur.

I didn't know that Floyd Mayweather has an upcoming exhibition match against Mikuru Askakura a MMA fighter, this month of September. And also I didn't know Mayweather has love for the country of Japan or the fighters, lol. After this fight, he might fight against a Korean fighter. Hopefully this fight will entertain us more compared to when he fought Tenshin Nasukawa.
He loves fighting Japanese and he loves to make easy money.

Just imagine this ;

FLOYD MAYWEATHER earned a staggering £52,000 per second for his one round demolition of Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan.

Floyd's fights now are just to make money, and there's no way he will choose a fighter that has a chance of beating him, his undefeated record will remain even after retirement.

Yes, this is correct, he loves the Japanese because they are wiling to pay him huge money, to have an exhibition in their country with their famous boxer. So who wouldn't love that? you are being offered big money in matter of minutes? So as Floyd said, easy money and his health is not at risk with this amateur Japanese boxers.

And it's the culture of the Japanese as well, that's why you can see boxing being held in their country and they have one of the best fighters right now, Naoya Inoue and they have a lot of current and past champions that can rival the best boxing country like Mexico and the Philippines.

I think Coach Ham will keep on pounding WB as an attacker to create spacing and learn a kick out pass.

That's right, it should be the purpose, otherwise that strategy won't work if Westbrook is not gonna pass the ball. Maybe more than 50%, WB will draw attention when he drives the ball, so there are shooters that are going to be open, and I don't know if the Lakers have a consistent 3 point shooters that could play the role.

Westbrook is very athletic but not a good passer, that's my observation. Although I might be wrong because he used to average a triple double production in the game, but we all know sometimes he does stat padding, and if we compare his stats last season to his production in OKC, you can tell the big difference, so we can ask ourselves if he really is that good.

I think he was that good, but Father Time is undefeated. When your game is built on the back of your athleticism, the aging process is never kind to your career as an athlete. Russell is going to suffer the same fate as an older Shawn Kemp. Unwilling to change his game and unable to perform to prior capabilities.

True, but I think Father Time hasn't caught Westbrook though, just maybe the blending and the role of hime and the pressure to perform might really affect his performance last season. So I think he can still performance at 90% and it will be better that 10% of the player in the league right now. Can score, pass and rebound, in short he can still make triple double if he wanted to. Kemp was different, his weight fluctuated, and even weight around 260 lbs++ for his frame during the last stretch of his career. Just a sign that he lost everything then.
3885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving NVIDIA by buying bitcoin on: September 04, 2022, 11:24:07 AM
Isn't it there was a time that Nvidia or even AMD is playing crypto because everyone is buying their card to mine? There was a shortage before, so they make a lot of money, but then again, when the bear market started in 2018 they lost money before there is no demand. So I guess history repeating itself again for this companies. And probably they are just one of those collaterals when the market collapses on when it enter a bear market. Collectively, I don't think this is a good idea as well, and no, we are not the one who is going to bail this companies.
3886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 04, 2022, 11:03:42 AM
GGG does not have to mind the trash-talk, he needs to focus on this fight and prove to the world that he can beat Canelo. Imagine if GGG will win here, that would give Canelo 2 losses in a row and will result in reducing his popularity. People will also remember that GGG is the better fighter between the two, so I understand why GGG is silent, it only says he will do the talking in the ring.
Yep, a good result is sweeter than a good words, if GGG can beat Canelo in this fight, I think many fans already stop to follow him since he can't prove if he's better than GGG. Not to mention how many bettors already lose when he fight Bivol before, they will be disappointed.

Maybe it's either Inoue, Crawford or Spence will become the best pound for pound boxer.

Light heavyweight also isn't a place where Canelo can easily beat the champion, it's a big challenge for him.

True, and I think because of the language barrier, GGG doesn't mind those trash talk, his seen better days when boxers trying to intimidate him by trash talking but in the end, he closes those big ass mount by either a TKO or KO victory.

There could still be bettors who are going to back up Canelo no matter what, just like the die hard fans of other boxers during their prime like Manny or Floyd.

3888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Anderson Silva [rumours] on: September 04, 2022, 06:06:48 AM
All of Jake Paul's opponents that he beat coming from MMA do not have enough experience in boxing and they are not battle-tested in Boxing, compared to Silva who has beaten one of the top middleweight who is still at top of his career, I'm talking about Chavez Jr. now if he can beat a fighter like Chavez Jr. he can also beat fighters like Jake Paul, Silva has a good discipline like a boxer, its a good match up and can well be the toughest fight for both fighters, I hope this rumor stop and they make it a reality

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was far from the top of his career when he fought Anderson Silva last year. He wasn't anymore the young wonder boy son of Chavez Sr. He was already going down. He was getting old and losing fights and never even reached half of what his legendary dad achieved.

Correct, Julio Cezar Chavez Jr is just a shade of his father, he didn't have the discipline in training that his father had that's why he become a bum and just fighting for the sake of money. So I'm not surprised that even a old and wash up and not a boxer type of opponent in Anderson Silva beat him up.

Surely, this isn't the toughest fight for Anderson Silva. Jake Paul is no fighter actually. Anderson has faced real fighters before, with skills and power, both of which Jake doesn't have. But considering how old Anderson is, it could indeed be a tough fight for him.

Of course, he can trained hard for this fight. But then again, his age, his puncher power, his chin, once he absorbed that from Jake Paul, for sure, chances are he might get knock out again.
3889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 04, 2022, 05:34:42 AM
Quote
Russell Westbrook shot 44.4% (548/1233) overall and 29.8% (79/265) from three in 78 games in 2021-22.

I would say decent percentage but he can improved a lot on this. So I would say that Ham turning him to be a shooter might not be a bad idea at all. Westbrook just need to bring his confidence back so that he can at least improved this numbers as a shooter.

I do not know if he can still improve on that. He is already on the decline. In Washington, he is 31.5% in 3pt% and last year just 29.8%. He would be an unreliable shooter if the coach will put him as a corner shooter. That will just destroy westbrook further. I think he should take the guard role instead and let westbrook do what westbrook does the best. Or just trade him because he does not fit if they will force him to be the shooter.

If we are going to base on that stat then the Lakers should know that it's not a good idea for Westbrook to shoot more often and developed him to be a outside threat to them.

As I have said, Westbrook is still very effective going inside and passing the ball to their shooters. That should be the focus on their new coach and not try to reinvent Westbrook because it might backfire on them and maybe close game that he can't make the shots outside so the blame will be on him again.
3890  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: September 04, 2022, 05:14:21 AM

3891  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto business isn't for everyone on: September 04, 2022, 03:15:10 AM
It may have similarities and differences with traditional based investments like stocks or mutual funds. But in crypto, we have this 4 year cycle that so far holds true. So there will be time that the market is very strong going up and make good gains for us. But there will also be time that the market is down and that's where our patience and mentality sets in. So it's going to be a journey if someone sticks to this market. There will be learning curves along the way that will make crypto investments very attractive.
3892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 03, 2022, 10:56:41 PM
It’s decentralized, no need for any 3rd party to babysit your sale and take a piece of it. In developing nations, this technology is enabling more practical operations that will enable translucency and combat corruption in governments.

But not all developing countries are into bitcoin though, some of them are planning to have their own CBCD. What's practical is that there are countries who allow their citizens to play around it, have some in their wallet, nevertheless it is heavily regulated.

Also having bitcoin it gives us financial freedom, specially if you have invested early and then have been in a bull run for sure there are a lot of us who like bitcoin that way.
3893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 03, 2022, 10:41:26 PM
Indeed, today the bookmakers have a clear favorite Stevenson, and it seems to me that if this changes closer to the start of the fight, it is not in favor of Conceicao, the more interesting the bets will be, because the most sophisticated and experienced boxer can miss.

Bookmakers seldom make mistakes. The odds difference went this far mainly because of these reasons;
1. Robson Conceicao is not a KO artist. Being heavy-handed is the major cause of boxing upsets as per common boxing saying that it would only take one punch to change the outcome of a fight.
2. Shakur Stevenson is a very technical fighter and is hard to get hit, this would further eliminate further the small chance of an upset as Conceicao is already a light puncher.
3. Shakur is the A-side fighter. Groomed by Top Rank as its next superstar and pound-for-pound fighter, like its former and present fighters De La Hoya, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Cotto, Crawford, Lomachenko, Inoue, and Fury. Close rounds will surely be given to Shakur, even probably not that close rounds for as long as he is not that dominated.
4. Last but not the least, Conceicao is fighting not just in Shakur's state of New Jersey but in his own backyard in Newark. In boxing, controversial hometown decisions happens and are even very common especially in Thailand and South Africa.

And to sum it up, Shakur is unbeaten so definitely bookmakers are going to put him as the favourite in this fight. We might as well call this fight a cherry pick for Shakur based on the odds, hehehe. Bookmakers are not giving any chance for Conceicao to win this fight, but it is what it is. He definitely had all the tools and beat presumably one of the best in this division in Valdez (and probably the 2 other champions.)
3894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: RUIZ VS ORTIZ SUN, SEP 04, 2022 10PM ET EASTERN TIME/ on: September 03, 2022, 10:26:59 PM
Obviously as this is a heavyweight fight, both of them made it in the scale:

Andy Ruiz - 268 ¾ lbs
Luis Ortiz - 245.4 lbs

Here is the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7OW2paxxtA

I'm expecting a entertaining fight, both could have their moments. So let's see which one can get it first because I'm not expecting this fight to go to the distance. Someone will have to get knock out here, hehehe.
3895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 03, 2022, 09:47:11 PM
It does not look good on the side of Butler, everyone is thinking that Inoue will win this, that -3300 is a big statement, big disrespect.
And hey, 97.1% chances of winning, it gives Butler an almost impossible chance to win.

As expected since the beginning and even that fight is not officially dealt with.

It's even fortunate that Paul Butler was given around 2% of winning the match  Not a disrespectful comment from me just to be clear.

Even though there's a thing called "lucky punch", Butler doesn't have the strength to give a fatal blow to Inoue even if he is able to land one.
The fan of his would also acknowledge that possible lucky punch despite all of those percentages of winning that has been shown.

Not a disrespect but this could be taken by him as a challenge and prove everyone that he's got what it takes to beat the champ. Well, that could just be his mindset upon looking at these odds and percentage that's shown to the public by many speculators.

Most likely that will be Paul Butler's motivation here, because he is a huge underdog so his mindset should shift gear and focus that he can do it, be positive against the Monster.

So in the first couple of rounds we will see if he can stay with Inoue and that motivation and his big heart of him will be enough to counter the power of Naoya and survived the distance. But I doubt it because Inoue is truly an amazing fighter and complete and still improving every fight.
3896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 03, 2022, 09:28:13 PM
He needs to win here, but if he losses, there's no other way but to move up in weight, though it will not hype him but IMO, that's the right thing to do for him to be comfortable in maintaining his weight. He will have to start his journey in a new division and hopefully we will continue to support him.

Let's say Jerwin Ancajas will lose here, does it really a good decision to just left that division and moved up?

How can he even get good fights at Super Bantamweight if he is struggling with some of the best fighters in Junior Bantamweight?

If he loses, moving up for me is not a good decision. Start from scratch and have a goal to become a champion again at Junior Bantamweight which is his comfort zone at most points of his career. He dominates that division for several years and I'm sure he can repeat it.

But of course, that was just speculation as I believed he will win here in this rematch against Martinez and then finally move up.

If the problem is weight then definitely he will have to move up because his body can't adapt to this lower weight anymore. And just like what Teo Lopez did, cherry pick a fighter, a boxer that has a good record, but he can easily beat in the fight because he has far more superior skills. It's up to his manager and promotions MP and Sean Gibbons to find him that target in the next weight and work his way up, put up a good string of wins and maybe he will have a crack at the belt again. Jerwin is young so the future is still bright for this kid.
3897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 03, 2022, 09:13:07 PM
I also read that the new coach wanted to used Westbrook and be a shooter.
That's funny because Westbrook will never be a great shooter, unless he will be the one carrying the ball and find ways to get inside and draw a foul. his point percentage has gone down, that's because he is not anymore with OKC, it's a different system that he is playing now which does not fit fully fit him.

Maybe a medium bank shot shooter because he is known for that. But to be honest, it might be a good idea for him to be like like P.J. Tucker because he might not fit that role and it could led to Westbrook really being traded because he will be exposed as a bad shooter.

It's better for him to do his role, dribble and penetrate and then assists outside and rebound to get his triple double every night.
3898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: September 03, 2022, 08:51:09 PM
It is very possible to make gambling a thing of the past because nothing remains constant in life, nothing will remain the same as long as the person in question is ready to accept change.

It might be, but it will take a lot of courage on the part of the individual to overcome his gambling addiction. And the person need a lot of help from friends and families.

Another thing that can help one is change of environment, and change of friends. If you have a group of friends that are addicts thesame way you are, there is no way your life can change, and there is no way you can make gambling a thing of the past.It is obvious that most people find it difficult to avert from gambling, but a change of mindset and a change of mentality toward it will help you make it a thing of the past.

Again it boils down to who are your friends are, because they will have so much influence on you. If you want to start new then maybe you can tell them straight face that you want out and doesn't want to gamble. You don't need to move out just to change your environment. For sure they will have to understand you and maybe themselves can also make a U-turn and have a change of heart to quit gambling or at least minimized it.
3899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 03, 2022, 08:36:10 PM

right, when the authorities intervene in this case, it is not impossible that stake operations will be temporarily suspended until the court's decision is completed, Transferring funds temporarily to other gambling sites is a wise thing. money is always the problem with a company founded with friends or colleagues.

Suspending stake operation for this case is most likely not going to happen for now. This is an internal management issue involving partners on what way they have been treated and allegation of sharing or getting benefit but not financial embezzlement. So I think it will be in the jurisdiction of the court to determine against evidence presented or maybe out of court using ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) on a round table with some wine and bottles of beer.

More on the money side and I'm sure Stake have that enough funds to settle this if in case they'll going to lose with this case, but operation wise they won't allow any interventions as the main point here is for them to settle the claim and there' nothing to be confiscated as like you mentioned there's no financial issue or whatsoever.

Same with my first sentiment, if stake can throw huge amount of money for promotions, advertising and partnerships what more in this case, they can pay this for the operation to continue and not to allow their clients to fear out.

Definitely, it boils down to money, to the ex-partner that's why he sued the current owner of Stake. Even in other industries, this happen specially if the company become so famous and started to rake money, billions and billions like in this example.

But hopefully, they could settle their difference and move on. I'm not saying that Stake can't afford to pay $400 million, but for sure them and the lawyers will have to put up a fight and or at least lower what was initially ask by the complainant.
3900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin bear market over? on: September 03, 2022, 08:21:20 PM
Well not the thing you want to hear from my but I still suspect this is only the beginning of the 'bear market'.
I still do project a 'Bull Market' early 2023 or later on in that year so as long as you are patient and HODL your Bitcoins I am sure it will make it worth it to ignore the current Bitcoin price.

I guess it's better to hear it that way, instead of denying that we are not in a bear market or we will recover soon. Most likely recovery will start right after the halving, just like the previous bull run. And so if that is the case then almost 2 year we will have to wait. So the best thing to do while waiting is continue to accumulate, nothing beats the old strategy of DCA every month and see how much you can get till the next bull run.
Halving may come in 2024, a little bit excited. We need to survive and keep our emotions stronger and even more positive for the incoming as we still need to face the bear season for 1-2 more years. I just imagine during the last bear season that it takes almost 3 years, that seems possible to happen during this time. Well, anyways, we're just hoping for the best and we don't need to argue the situation whether it was bear season or it ends already, we really just need to prepared for anything will happen later.

Yes, but I think we can survived this bear market. We are very excited for the halving to happen but it is still very far that's why I said we need to take advantage of the current situation first because this is what we are facing. Time flies so fast, in the next coming months it will be the end of this year. And then we start 2023 and it's another fun time to accumulate before the actual event. Just take this bear market in stride and we will be good in so many ways.
