3901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is available on NO KYC Crypton Exchange on: January 29, 2022, 11:37:28 AM
I do not know about the others, but I know about Kucoin (I have not used it before) that it is one of the best no kyc but centralized exchange to use. And if someone is not going for frequently trading but just exchange of fiat to crypto and vice versa, then decentralized exchanges are best for privacy that most centralized exchanges can not give.

All of these platforms require KYC, but leave the user with the ability to use it without verifying identity at a certain level and must verify it when it reaches that level.
As long as exchange between cryptocurrencies and without converting it to cash, most likely no KYC will be required.

Binance was like that, they lowered limits and then imposed full KYC[1].

So it will happen with all of these platforms.
Unless it's a truly decentralized platform, everything will happen.

3902  Other / Meta / Re: 500 Internal Server Error on: January 29, 2022, 11:15:27 AM
It is a server error (HTTP status code 5XX) but (00) is generic error that won’t tell you exactly why this it is the problem.
There are many reasons for this problem, but you as a user (Client side) do not need to do anything, refresh the page and the problem will be solved.

Personally, I did not encounter a problem, perhaps it is related to cloudflare, so do not worry too much.

3903  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Where the beat place /country to register Defi project as company on: January 28, 2022, 02:22:34 PM
The word "DeFi" means decentralized financing, which is not supposed to be central and under the control of one company, and therefore the presence of one company managing such financing is very wrong.
But if you want to set up a company in the name of DeFi, you may face intellectual property problems afterwards, and it is difficult to find an address with that name.

In general, most of the companies are transnational, so that the registration is in crypto-friendly countries such as the Cayman Islands, Malta and others.

You should not seek tax advice from the community because we are from many countries and have different laws.
3904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEXC.COM worth bagging their token? on: January 28, 2022, 02:14:02 PM
MEXC is a reliable exchange one of the best out there but their token value is not highly volatile good for long term holding too, still I think the early investors are the most lucky ones, I'd buy CoinEX token instead since it's a young exchange, more room to grow too
I don't know why everyone thinks that central wallet tokens are good in the long run, the only success is BNB and UNI all came after a long time effort.
Therefore, it is not good in the long run, and I think it is very similar to the KuCoin platform.
In general, the platform does not look scam and has good trading volumes, so some profits may be made in the short term.
3905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TEN Crypto Trading Lesson. on: January 28, 2022, 12:42:15 PM
I've always thought that trading is like learning to ride a bike or to drive a master, you can listen to hundreds of good advice, and thousands of hours of videos but unless you practice it you won't be able to do it.
The tips are good and should be applied, but the practical skill in trading, making a good plan, managing emotions, etc. needs practical practice.
I remember when I first started trading 2017-2108 and now, the difference is clear even though I haven't read any advice before.

The most important thing I can say is to learn from the mistakes, find out what I did wrong and try to improve it.
3906  Economy / Economics / Re: Efforts made by the US actually provide a new problem for inflation. on: January 28, 2022, 12:02:53 PM
COVID-19 pandemic has made the natural levels of inflation variable, and therefore monetary policies set by governments may fail to bring inflation under control and maintain levels according to expectations, for example, most countries are trying to maintain inflation between 2%-5%.

Now we have an energy crisis and I believe that the dollar is linked in one way or another to the price of a barrel of oil, which prices most things in our lives, and with the fluctuation of energy prices, political risks and others, it will become difficult to maintain low inflation levels and a price of 100 dollar per barrel of oil without high inflation more than 5%.

Therefore, I do not think that governments will succeed in keeping inflation rates under control during the next three years.

3907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OpenSea hacked for $780,000 on: January 28, 2022, 09:31:39 AM
By the looks of it, it seems to be the situation, they are indeed hiding the situation. However, with this information coming out now, I think that this will affect OpenSea now. I just hope that they focus more on the quality of their security, in order to assure their users, who will surely panic and be worried upon knowing this incident.

Lots of platforms have been hacked yet people are still using them as an example in the last year:

 - 2021, December, 2021: BitMart hacked (Obtained access to hot wallet) with $150 million
 - 2021, August 19: Liquid hacked (Obtained access to hot wallet) with $97 million
 - 2020, September 25: KuCoin hacked (Data leak) of $275 million
.
.
.
 - 2018, January 27: CoinCheck hacked (Unknown) with $560 million

Source --> https://www.hedgewithcrypto.com/cryptocurrency-exchange-hacks/

Most of these platforms have several million users who spend millions of dollars.

They probably hiding it unfortunately, someone caught them and this is not a small money at all. A decentralized platform where you can buy and sell NFT got hacked and that’s alarming to me. They should have a better security in the first place, and of course we deserve a total disclosure of this incident.

NFT tokens are a hot topic and such hacks will cause big problems for them especially with the increased competition and with more money flowing in, paying those sums is better than nothing.
3908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kazakhstan cripping the bitcoin network on: January 28, 2022, 08:31:17 AM
After completing the centralization of Bitcoin mining in China, China banning mining and the hashrate still high, arguing with the rest of the countries will be useless.
We can't compare the number of miners in that country to China, so the fact that Bitcoin is centralized in one country is inaccurate.
Bitcoin mining is distributed in a decentralized manner, and therefore we need to take decisions from those countries together to affect the mining directly, and then the miners will move to another country and so on.
Do not forget that Bitcoin mining is an economic behavior, as long as it is profitable in a country, the miners will move to it.
3909  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Germany, am I legally required to prove the origin of my BTC? on: January 28, 2022, 08:15:51 AM
You just need to prove the source of the money, for example, if 3 years ago you deposited $100 in a platform, you will need to prove that you made the deposit of X crypto and transfer it to Y crypto, using mixing services will not change many things as long as you have the cash, but if you want to pay taxes correctly, avoid it.

The 10,000 Euro limit that stompix cites I think applies to the entire European Union, or at least the Eurozone. From those amounts, the problems start.

I am not familiar with the laws in Germany, but in my country there are many indicators that determine the freezing of funds. For example, if you periodically receive $50,000 from a source, you will be asked in the first time and ignored the next times as long as they are periodic & follow a certain pattern, but for example, if you receive $500 from 5 unknown sources outside the country, your account may be frozen, in short, it is related to suspicious behavior.

3910  Economy / Economics / Re: Dealing with tax and crypto ban on: January 27, 2022, 01:58:42 PM
I don’t know what the relationship is between the different topics.

Bitcoin mining in Russia is related to electricity and political relations. There was news about Russia’s intention to ban currency trading, including the ban on mining, but the policies change dramatically. However, when China banned Bitcoin mining, the currency continued to grow.

Regulating taxes is subject to the fact that they are assets and not currencies, and therefore governments try to benefit from them and make some profits from them.
3911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Supeheroshiba on: January 27, 2022, 01:31:27 PM
Shiba currency, with the huge quantity supplied, represents a legalized scam pump/dump model.
Therefore, all the models based on it are considered scam or an attempt to take advantage of its reputation completely, what happened from currencies such as the squid game[1], moon coin, Elon Musk currency and so on.

Generally, who is the developer team, plans, and future development and problem solving.

3912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OpenSea hacked for $780,000 on: January 27, 2022, 01:07:41 PM
It seems that the platform has contained the matter and paid the amount instead of jeopardizing its reputation. Such events would resonate if it was for many individuals and not for one user.
The problem is that the existence of such vulnerabilities will cause people to believe that the technology has been hacked (ETH blockchain) and not the fault of the platform.

Also, the delay in correcting the bug is not a good indicator, so the average user should not keep the money in the platform for a long time.

Generally, it is good to hide such news for the industry as a whole but it is bad for OpenSea users.
3913  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking to install crypto related mobile apps in my laptop. on: January 27, 2022, 10:01:30 AM
Why not buy a cheap phone, root it, remove all apps and install certain apps, blocking physical internet access? Or a cheaper option to buy a hardware wallet?

i found myself obligated to use several mobile apps just to test some services for once.

Why do you need to test the services once?
Even buying a phone and preventing it from connecting to the Internet is better than installing android simulator on the computer that is always connected to the Internet.

In general, you can get an Android system suitable for computers (Remix OS or Android-x86) and then modify BIOS to boot from it next to your main operating system[1] [2].

Anyway In brief:

 - Download Remix OS from the official site.
 - Launch the Remix OS.
 - Install it to the hard drive and Reboot.

3914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there still opportunity here for lower rank? on: January 27, 2022, 09:32:46 AM
You have a long journey ahead. Good signature campaigns have become highly rated people who have merits and share useful content for the community. Therefore, developing yourself will be the beginning that you will benefit from personally before benefiting from the financial return.

The price of Bitcoin is now low and we may not go down further so until then investing any surplus money would be a smart idea.
Getting merits is not difficult, you just got 4 Merits.
3915  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KYC and Beard, asking for a friend. on: January 27, 2022, 09:07:26 AM
As I understand they will improve their face recognition software or have an alternative way to do the KYC when the picture in the documents differs with the your current look in terms of facial hair.
I don't think "soon" means "soon" because several months ago they enforced ID verification and therefore should have invested in updating their KYC system quickly.
Most likely they rely on third party applications or any tool as I don't think they are serious about identity verification and therefore would not invest in it to be accurate.
Also, I think that your friend should update his ID picture quickly because he may face problems at the airport or points where identity verification is more.
3916  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy is not a crime, learn to do it yourself (DIY) on: January 27, 2022, 08:49:16 AM
Privacy is a valuable thing. From the moment you start communicating, you lose a part of that value.

Just when you connect to the Internet, you lose some privacy and you have to learn that a small mistake may lead to revealing your identity.
It is impossible to anonymize if all the parties in the world want to track you and put sufficient financial resources for that, but the enjoyment of privacy earns you additional value.

Almost all free applications collect data about you and therefore you should know how to protect your privacy.

In Bitcoin, unless you are running a full node, connecting using Tor and VPN does not log your data, you are at the lowest level of privacy no matter what wallet you use.

Next comes disabling JavaScript data and accessing a lot of untrusted sites.

In general, in terms of security and privacy, you mentioned a good point, which is the keyboard. In touch screens, these tools collect, record and analyze a lot of data, which happened to me in the morning, when I noticed the predictive text has become of high accuracy.
3917  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [warning] Vulnerability in all major Linux distros gives full root privileges. on: January 27, 2022, 08:33:27 AM
I did not understand the content of the article accurately, but as I understood it, it gives root privileges for an ordinary user, and therefore it is an account based problem (privileges to unprivileged user.)
Meaning that it will be affected by devices with multiple access or for several people and not for the average user with a single account.

In general, all systems are vulnerable to hacking, and Bitcoin provides the user with the advantage of generating keys without the need to connect to the Internet, which means that most of these bugs will not effect (if the user is able to physically remove all communication parts)
3918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Block Rewards when Bitcoin hits $1M on: January 26, 2022, 12:20:21 PM
If, and when Bitcoin reaches a FIAT value of $1M one would assume the cost to mine a single coin would be quite high otherwise everyone would be doing it. Who then would be able to afford the cost every 10 minutes, and would this "cost to mine" be a sum of the costs of all miners?

When Bitcoin reaches that value, mining hardware will develop and thus consume less electricity.
Research on renewable energy will have reached its peak, and therefore we will find more options that are cheaper and less harmful to the environment.

Bitcoin mining is a profit-related activity. Whenever it is profitable, the number of miners will increase and vice versa, and therefore mining will continue as long as people continue to use Bitcoin and as long as Bitcoin has value (certainly it will have value if the market capacity is 20 trillion)

This is a chart of solar energy costs for the past ten years.

3919  Economy / Economics / Re: Overseing health and environmental impact of high energy required in Bitcoin on: January 26, 2022, 12:08:52 PM
I do not know why there is a link between Bitcoin and the carbon footprint, as Bitcoin mining requires energy from whatever source, and the continuation of research may lead us to create devices that cost less energy, and renewable energy sources will be more.

The problem of energy is global, and when more research and other things are done, we will find that the voices calling for mining problems will be reduced.

In general, the media has a role in this misconception, in the past it was linked between Bitcoin and dark activities, now it is linked to wasting electricity.
3920  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LastPass 1Password Security Crypto Challenge + Bounty on: January 26, 2022, 11:56:33 AM
If the purpose of the topic is to know if LastPass/1Password can be hacked, it is better to assume that and therefore do not give a lot of information to such services.
In general, there are two aspects that must be distinguished, the first is privacy and the second is privacy.

If you are not interested in privacy, add a password in your brain, for example, xcvbvv, with the first three word of the service as to Facebook, xcvbvvfab, with the password that is stored in such services, which will provide you with additional protection.

But if you're talking about privacy, it's best to stay away from LastPass/1Password service, assume that it can be hacked and run self-hosted password manager.
