Those victims are those with the mindset of get rich quick, these types are prime targets for scammers. I will fault those victims because of the nature of thousands of scams that took place. Don't be lazy to research into a project that bring forth an investment because many of them are scammers with new tactics. Ripple can't be next bitcoin in my opinion because of it use case, although the market of ripple has been growing sometimes now but can't be compare with bitcoin. Bitcoin is not negotiable as a supreme cryptocurrency, its not just an investment and payment methods but it will be use by petty payment like what ripple stood for. Ripple has it peculiarity compare to Bitcoin but can't see it as a next bitcoin as op assumed.

This means it was done gradually becoming same, don't buy into this ponzi scheme because many will lose their hard earned money while trying to make multiplication in their investment or on their trade. Thanks for this advise. Even the YFI can't be said to be legit project still because of it rate of profits. I think we should be more careful than during the ICOs days because similar things like this has happened when investors had to loss all their investment. Scammers has already entered into the defi world as we have seen with YAM. Copycats springing out of this digital innovation is inevitable, as such the entire cryptocurrency community should be mindful of their involvement with new defi projects without solid and convince utility.

Although projects like YAM has proven some negative side of this innovation, but that doesn't mean there are no good defi projects around the community. Those mentioned above are good defi projects but we have to wait for the true color of their platforms after two to three years to come.
