While I agree with you partially, I don't think it will likely prevent spam. Spammers gonna spam. Ads are a part of the life now, you see ads everywhere. Be it on YouTube, Spotify, streets etc. It's annoying to have them but at the same time they make platforms free and smooth.
It becomes more of a norm on paid-to platforms. BMF, Mylot, Steemit. Can't avoid that since everyone wants to earn easily. I think if Bitcoin Signature campaigns have to pay a small fee for running their campaigns to bitcointalk forum (I think they already do, but not sure) that will generate revenue for the site to be well maintained. There are already rules for spamming, and it gets you suspended or banned. And spammers are also kicked from sig campaigns as well by managers They are already paying members to join and if they're via the ad spot, to theymos. It's a win-win on both sides. More traffic to the site means higher exposure to the ad moneh.

The rule of not allowing giveaway was to prevent account farming? Or is there any other purpose? I don't know, however I think this rule should be changed or there should be separate board for posting altcoin giveaway. I don't see any need for not allowing this.
Based on some of the replies here, it's mainly to prevent abuse of those XYZ tokens of little to no value. But I agree with you that alts such as ETH should be fine since that restriction set by theymos was made years back.

It's amazing to see, how many $ are played a day. I know, he wouldn't tell about anyway. No question, it is nobody's business either! But just out of curiosity I would like to know, how much is the gain of @wetsuit within 24h... ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) I guess you just answered your own question. It's kinda privy, you know ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Yeah, Coinpot and MellowAds is owned by same person. I don't have 100% proof for it, but probably if I would make small reasearch, I would find things which would prove it. One of details that I remember, one of their faucets BonusBitcoin and MellowAds have same design basically. But do you want to say that some of ponzis advertised on Mellowads is owned by Coinpot owner? I doubt... You can find advertisenents of ponzis on most Bitcoin advertising networks, unfortunately they are one of main advertisers... And yeah, you're right, faucets isn't free money. You spend your time and put more or less efort in this task. But word "free" is marketing trick which was very effective and attracted millions of people to faucets through all these yesrs. Like Freebitco.in from just faucet turned into huge gambling website, but they aren't going to get rid of word "Free" from their name.
One thing I noticed that both have the same type of bad review; non-existent support. Coincidence? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FwYt7pqs%2Fsuppork.jpg&t=663&c=8eQCGeXryyD3nA)

We are talked above, this isn't phishing purpose because of no login button, Imposible to stealing password if the user didn't insert it.
Just because there's no login that doesn't means it isn't one. Judging by the menu, it hasn't included the rest such as the members and login yet. Even the URLs aren't complete or return a 404.

You seem to be quite certain there, did you check this? I bet that CP and Mallow ads = same owner and some of the ponzis are from CP.
And of course the service is not free. Its funny when faucets are telling you that you get cryptos for free. I have to do something for it (solve captcha for example) and then I can get something - this is what some people would call work and not free. Its not hard work but its not hard earnings either.
Having own a few sites myself, I can relate to that. However I have no knowledge to confirm if both are managed by the same person/ company. Why can they pay better than other faucets? Those Moon faucets globally rank quite well if you've seen theirs before. Right now as we speak, Moonbitcoin ranks at 3,655 since it's one of the most populous faucets to date. Meanwhile Mellowads publishers websites are required to be in the top 100,000. Along with the large base of advertisers (MA has a faucet in case you're unaware), I reckon MA is able to pay the rates for sites under their network. From a business perspective, faucets have to rely on ads, with maximum earning potentials. They source from a network (back to MA) to sponsor the funds. In turn, MA gathers the advertisers willing to pay for ad space. Then it boils down to the rules on ponzis and whatnot are allowed to be advertised. But then unlike non-Bitcoin networks like Google Ads, many Bitcoin ad publishing networks tend to support those shady ones because why? Those categories generate the most income in the Bitcoin world. So we visitors have to also play smart and know faucets are just faucets; claim and ciao. Don't just simply click on a flashy "DOUBLE YOUR BITCOIN" ad and expect results to happen literally. It's common sense. There's no free lunch. Even this forum has this disclaimer right below its ad space: Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction. Advertise here. After all, we're getting spammed and redirected on almost every single one so at some point we should already know these ads are repetitive and full of shit.

Banning people based on the region doesn't look convenincing because there is no border to knowledge even someone from third world countries can have better knowledge compared to the guy from well developed countries and literally thry banned countries because they don't want to pay the people for that pay per post campaign on cryptotalk.
The last time I checked, it was due to the low quality submissions from those countries. Legit or not, it's hard to determine because there are other services that also implemented similar strategies. For instance, visitors from US/ CA are paid way better than those from third-world.

Been there, done that. Still keep you one eye open. Smell the air to catch the hints of what is about to come.
For example: If there are many valid scam accusations about a casino/business starting to pop up then it is very likely either the business is about to go down or your turn to get scammed is coming.
Gotcha, I keep my list pretty small too. Seen many just come and go in a few months.

But they are not against zero value posts because all they want is quantity over quality and it is a known fact since when they introduced their campaign on bitcointalk. They've been way more stringent compared to last time, from the 100 posts minimum to the banning of several countries. Still, the shitposts are inevitable there.

Honestly I feel like keeping my money at freebitco.in is safer than any other place I can hold it. Now we all know exchanges, if you put it on exchange they will definitely use your money to make more money, think of like insurance companies of real life how they take your money before anything happens, use that to invest and make more money and if you ever need insurance they will fight tooth and nail to not pay you but eventually do, but at that time they used your money to make more, exchanges are like that too, and I do not trust where they are spending.
You could have hardware wallet but you could also lose it as well, after all it is a physical object, you could even do paper wallets and save somewhere but it is paper anything could happen. So, at freebitco.in not only I use it as a wallet but I also get my fair share of returns with 4% yearly return on bitcoin profits as well.
Same, I've deposited and kept huge amounts here before. Mainly because funds are transferred so seamlessly, unlike other sites.

For several days already on cryptotalk forum there is a drop of DLRS tokens to get which you need to write 100 posts per week. Nobody knows what a token is, but activity on the forum is just huge and the posts are written by people who do not even understand what the cryptocurrencies are.
So they're paying in DLRS token instead of Bitcoin now?

The problem with delayed lottery tickets and reward points is just the latest in a long list of problems people have had with them. That's why I question their competence. The service isn't free, they're spamming you Ponzi and malware ads.
They have no choice because those kind of ads actually yield more earnings for CoinPotty. But then, CP is only the publisher, not the owner behind them.

Campaign should be processed no later then <24 hours from now Everyone will get a bonus.
Noice, thanks! 👌🏻

Just don't use it to buy a cup of coffee then. Why would you need main chain security when you can simply use your card or second layer solution as mentioned above?
Well, if the crypto wants widespread adoption then it has to be used for daily transactions. I'm aware of LN but that thing is hardly implemented on sites I frequent on, let alone IRL. I could always opt for cards, cash or e-Wallet but then more options are always better, you know.
|
|
|
Also, I always visited the mempool every time to make transactions of the miners see good right now before making any transactions. The good thing and lesson this too to other members always wait for the confirmation before making a deal.
Fancy having to wait 10 mins after ordering in BTC for a cup of coffee while the rest wait in line, feels long man.

I think it would be better if you expose few of them who PM you for a merit. If you publicly announce who are PM you for merits, they won't get the merit from anyone and it will be a good lesson for them. Also it will prevent people from further asking for merits in the inbox and this trend will soon end. There could be a thread where everyone could report who is privately asking for merits.
There might be some who might oppose, claiming privacy of PMs should be respected #PLM. Ironically it happened in the Wall of Shame thread not too long ago.

Never used this app CryptoDredge, is it good? Nicehash is easy to use, but sometimes can be a pain to find out what's the problem, because there's the app + all miners Some time ago I had problem with phoenix miner with nicehash, I had to uninstall everything, install again and do all the exceptions
Another thing is windows 10 updates, sometimes my windows update itself and give me some errors
But if this app is working for you, keep using it
So far, no issues with it yet. It's giving around mid-10 MH/s but even if I found some better algorithm, that wouldn't matter much because of my card's property. True that. Honestly I was hesitant on installing NH because previously I used another ETH miner but then the problems started showing up so yeah, that's how I ended up here. You're still having issues with NH? There's BetterHash but I checked reviews and overall NH is still better, with the exception of the BTC payout.
