3901  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: January 04, 2018, 08:30:47 PM
Not the end, Bitcoin has actualy just begun.
Articles and predictions like this appear all the time, ever since Bitcoin first emerged on the market and none of them were not true, Bitcoin is still here.
Don't believe everything you read and use your critical mind to evaluate the information.
3902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin rises after report says early Facebook investor Peter Thiel buy bitcoins on: January 04, 2018, 07:50:07 PM
Every now and then some article or announcement like this appears but I don't think this actualy influence the price significantly. Bitcoin price is a bit more complex and no matter how unstable it is and how easy changes this doesn't have direct influence.
But it can affect some users to take the actions like buying or selling depending on the news.
3903  Economy / Marketplace / Re: "Bitcoin mining is a Big no!" on: January 04, 2018, 07:08:38 PM
To invest in mining on your own has become too expensive having in mind the final profit. Unless you don't have some mining farm you can't expect much and the expenses are high.
That was one of the reasons why people thought cloud mining could be the solution but there are so much scam scheems that is very hard to distinguish what is legit and what not.
3904  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep all crypto in trading platforms or wallets? on: January 04, 2018, 04:14:51 PM
Wherever you keep your coins localy, wallets or exchangers, there is certain risk of being compromised by hacker attack, malware or something.
Still exchangers are more vulnerable than wallets so it's not recommended to keep your coins there except the amount you want to trade.
Exchangers are not meant to be wallets.
And when you choose the wallet be aware that online wallets are less secure than others.
3905  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to banks? on: January 04, 2018, 02:44:27 PM
Nothing will happen to banks, at least nothing bad.
They are still the financial pillars in society and that will not change so soon. They are financing governments and big world companies so their existance is secure. Cryptocurrencies will not replace them and believing such thing is illusion.
Of course so far they have realised the advantages of blockchain technology and they are willing to implement it. I'm sure they are also considering other options for cryptocurrencies.
3906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: January 04, 2018, 01:45:45 PM
And I thought selling mobile phone to invest in Bitcoin that someone had is crazy idea.
Taking risk by investing is one thing but making foolish decisions is completely other. Your should invest extra funds that you don't need for any other purpose and everyday living. Don't forget that Bitcoin isn't only profit but makes some losses too and you don't want to lose your house.
3907  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Ethereum debit card ? on: January 04, 2018, 12:54:20 PM
There are more than 10 ETH debit card providers. I personally like UQUID for ETH and other crypto cards. For more on this read best ETH debit cards.

Most of them also support other cryptocurrencies which is actualy the only profitable way.
Bitcoin debit cards are functioning just well but for credit card issuers isn't profitable to have the card for each coin so they combine them, usualy with Bitcoin.
I think cryptocurrencies cards business is a growing area and we can expect new products each day.
3908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to trade without losses on: January 04, 2018, 12:01:09 PM
Mission impossibe. There is no way to always trade with positive result, you will lose from time to time that is for sure.
The question is how much will you lose, how will you deal with that and how can you recover the lost funds. If you have the solution and plan for those questions you can successfuly cope with losses.
But don't let the losses to discourage you, just learn your lesson.
3909  Economy / Speculation / Re: A stable Bitcoin on: January 04, 2018, 08:52:57 AM
Stability of Bitcoin is just appearance. Maybe at the moment that the price is rather stable at current range between 13500$ and 15000$ but this can change any time so don't interpetrate this in wrong way.
Volatility is natural feature of Bitcoin and something that enables trading profit and attracts investors.
Although some people would like Bitcoin to be stable and that would influence on biger confidence, especialy of businesses long term this is not possible.
3910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I would rather have paper money then Bitcoin on: January 04, 2018, 08:14:12 AM
Bitcoin is not for everyone and for that reason a true mass adoption is under big question.
You can use Bitcoins in your everday life as easy and convenient as any fiat currency but you have to know how to use it and know the mechanisms that could make this easier, like Bitcoin debit cards. Knowledge and informations are very important for every Bitcoin user.
3911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different coins different opinions ! on: January 04, 2018, 07:01:08 AM
So many coins appear all the time but not many of them are successful. Sometimes it's not even clever to beleive everything that is written about some coin because it could be pure promotion.
When making a decision about investing in different altcoins it's important also to check the background and what or who stands behind that coin. Also not just the current status and price but what are the chances to develope and still be interesting for investors in the future.
3912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin reach 40k at the end of 2018? on: January 03, 2018, 06:05:36 PM
From this point of view the end of this year looks far away and everything seems possible.
If the price will rise fast like at the end of 2017 40000$ is possible but still I think that the growth will slow down a bit and 25000$ sounds more realistic to me.
Also there are some other things that could influence the price like forks, fees, unconfirmed transactions.
3913  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: should i invest in ETH or Ripple? on: January 03, 2018, 03:28:40 PM
Maybe Ripple looks good at the moment but the question is will it stand that good in the future. On the other hand Ethereum is already proven coin that shows good results and have great odds for the future. So I would definetely choose Ethereum.
If you still want to invest in Ripple get the smaller ratio, like 10% and the rest put to ETH.
3914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your New Year Resolutions for Bitcoin in 2018? on: January 03, 2018, 02:22:04 PM
Simply don't have the custom to make New Year decisions, don't believe in that because usualy those decision remain unrealised plans.
Still when it comes to Bitcoin I have some goals I would like to achieve. Like to increase the profit and the amount of coins saved. Also to discover and try some new ways of earning Bitcoins and maybe have some business of my own.
3915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin domination era is over? on: January 03, 2018, 01:38:26 PM
Just on the contrary. Bitcoin domination era has just started.
I don't see any so prosperous potential altcoin to take the leadership among cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin will remain at the first place. Don't take statistics so seriously, it doesn't always show the true situation on the market, sometimes it's just the play of numbers.
3916  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading Bitcoin and other alts still profitable? on: January 03, 2018, 12:34:56 PM
Trading is always profitable. The question is only how much you have to invest and I don't mean only funds and how much you will get back.
It's not so easy to make profit with trading like it seems and it takes time and experience.
It's also important which coin you choose and how well you know the market. The choice is not easy and you have to pick very carefuly, losing money is easy.
3917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's off again on: January 03, 2018, 11:52:44 AM
Nothing surprises me anymore, price changes faster than ever in both ways. Is the jump today a sign that the price will run up again it's left to see, it could be investors come back or something else, but in the upcoming period I expect positive movements.
3918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Much to Keep on an Exchange on: January 03, 2018, 09:22:59 AM
I would say not a satoshi more than you want to trade. Exchangers are not wallets and your coins kept there could be exposed to risk such as hacker attack or similar.
Besides you can't control your private key which is bad enough.
And don't use only one exchanger, that is also good security meassure. If something bad happens to one of them you will not lose all your funds.
3919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance on: January 03, 2018, 07:57:45 AM
No matter to those figures Bitcoin has still the domimance and it will keep it.
The market is dynamic and the ratio is changing all the time, new altcoins appear all the time but Bitcoin is still the most attractive cryptocurrency and for other coins is hard to compete. So, it's not very good just to stick to the ststistics.
3920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoins become worthless? on: January 03, 2018, 01:53:04 AM
In the worst scenario it could become worthless.
Exactly on that subject I have read the newspapers article the other day which said that the price of Bitcoin depends on the group of enthusiasts and that it could easily become worthless.
I didn't give much importance to that and personaly I don't think Bitcoin will become worthless at least not so simple, the whole negative process that would last for a while should start before that. Nothing happens over night.
