3902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet saids: “Stay Away From Bitcoin” on: December 27, 2014, 07:13:43 PM
Warren Buffet himself has said to not obssess over graphs and let time pass.
He took 10 years to get one of his best investments back and when he invested it initially went down.
Most people are sometimes wrong and statistically he is wrong with this. He is simply TOO OLD to get it.
3903  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exchange Reviews Collection - the most complete! on: December 27, 2014, 04:57:38 PM
Im all in in Poloniex these days.
3904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Several currencies collapsing and BTC price stagnant, why? on: December 27, 2014, 12:05:44 PM
There are several currencies collapsing, such as:

- Venezuela Bolivar
- Argentina Peso
- Belarus Ruble
- Russian Rubble
- Nigeria

Why is the BTC price not increasing fast?

How many people in these countries will be able to buy bitcoins? You need sellers willing to take these collapsing currencies.
Indeed, that is a problem. I dont know what methods you would have to exchange your currency in that situation. I guess you could always find speculators that will buy you some for USD.
3905  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: December 27, 2014, 11:48:34 AM
I doubt we will ever reach $1000 again in near future. The last bubble was never supposed to happen, now we are due for an extra long despair phase.

I wouldnt be surprised if we dont see a significant run up in price until Dec 2015
I disagree. The 2013 bubble was driven by people investing a lot of money into bitcoin at the same time. The price largely dropped from the bubble highs because of the loss of confidence that the imposition of gox caused.
We had some big entrances by whales like Winklevos bros.
Gox contributed to price burst but in general people is not ready just yet.
3906  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 27, 2014, 11:43:53 AM
so 275 is the bottom for you?

I have no idea, but I would guess so.

It is difficult to value btc but the price has been higher than 275 for over a year now. In that time a lot of positive things have happened in the space, many that would not have been predicted with a straight face just a year ago.

We are in Holiday season and nothing that happens now is really that significant IMO (see volume). I think we see another pump next year which will draw in the next adoption wave.

Bottom is around 245 for me right now. Panic buys should start if it goes below there.
3907  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have been the most stupid cunt ever - computer related disaster inside on: December 11, 2014, 07:40:54 PM
I've been mounting my own computers since I was a kid and for some reason instictively I thought I would be a better idea to only put a small amount of thermal paste in the middle of the CPU, then as the fan sits on the core the paste would spread. I've been doing it like this forever and never had problems. I dont get how they can put paste all over the socket like i've seen in some pics.
3908  Other / Off-topic / Re: Aliens vs. Predator vs. Terminators, who would win? on: December 11, 2014, 07:38:11 PM
An army of T-1000 wins everything... overpowered.

Is it related to the Firewall company? I've been using their software for year and they are very legit.
3911  Economy / Economics / Re: Was Bitcoin actually just a Pump and Dump? on: December 11, 2014, 07:14:19 PM
I'm sure if that's true. Bitcoin already dead by now  Grin
But, there are already many people accept & use bitcoin as currency

And i think Pump & Dump just because good & bad news only.
Our life is Pump & Dump too

WITH STOCKS, (AND THIS APPLIES TO BITCOIN) WHEN A PUMP AND DUMP HAPPENS THAT STOCK IS DEAD.
WHY?
BECAUSE WHOEVER PUMPED AND DUMPED GETS TO WALK AWAY WITH A BIG PROFIT AND GETS TO KEEP A LOT OF STOCKS (OR BITCOINS IN THIS CASE) SO NO OTHER INVESTOR WILL PUT THEIR MONEY DOWN, AS THE STOCK IS UNDER CONTROL OF THE FIRST INVESTOR.
THE ONLY THING THAT THEY CAN DO IS TRY TO SELL IT TO THE MASSES, SO TO US.
ALL THE PUBLICITY, MEDIA, ACCEPTANCE OF BITCOIN IS JUST SELLING POINTS, AS PART OF THE INVESTMENT TO SELL.
WE WILL SEE BITCOIN GOING DOWN AND WHOEVER IS HOLDING WILL ALSO GO AROUND SUPPORTING IT, IS NATURAL.
BUT REALITY IS THAT IS ON THE DOWNSIDE FOR GOOD.

Calm down on the caps there buddy. Listen, if someone cash outs big time, so what? that means these Bitcoins went to someone else. Yeah, the price keeps going down, but we have intelligent people that think low term such as me, so whenever Bitcoin goes TOO LOW people like me will go in big big time pushin the price up again.
3912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is dead? 350$ :( on: December 11, 2014, 07:05:46 PM
Bitcoin is not dead.

I think now is very good time to invest because of amazon.

They will probably start accepting BTC in 2015.

Amazon already accepts BTC via Gyft - and you get 3% back!
But when will be able to buy articles on ebay with bitcoin? this is what will make it explode imo.
3913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you normally trust a Bitcoin ATM? on: December 11, 2014, 06:54:48 PM
Well if you watch that video, you can see you risk not having your bitcoins delivered on time and being stuck on there, that would be hell. It definitely needs a lot of improvement and a better more anonymous and instant service.

3919  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think Bitcoin will be worth in a year? on: December 11, 2014, 11:29:51 AM
My vision changes from time to time, it can be a rally year or it can be a very stable year, something along these 2 lines...
