The professor of a university challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?" A student answered bravely, "Yes, he did".

The professor then asked, "If God created everything, then he created evil. Since evil exists (as noticed by our own actions), so God is evil. The student couldn't respond to that statement causing the professor to conclude that he had "proved" that "belief in God" was a fairy tale, and therefore worthless.

Another student raised his hand and asked the professor, "May I pose a question? " "Of course" answered the professor.

The young student stood up and asked : "Professor does Cold exists?"

The professor answered, "What kind of question is that? ...Of course the cold exists... haven't you ever been cold?"

The young student answered, "In fact sir, Cold does not exist. According to the laws of Physics, what we consider cold, in fact is the absence of heat. Anything is able to be studied as long as it transmits energy (heat). Absolute Zero is the total absence of heat, but cold does not exist. What we have done is create a term to describe how we feel if we don't have body heat or we are not hot."

"And, does Dark exist?", he continued. The professor answered "Of course". This time the student responded, "Again you're wrong, Sir. Darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in fact simply the absence of light. Light can be studied, darkness can not. Darkness cannot be broken down. A simple ray of light tears the darkness and illuminates the surface where the light beam finishes. Dark is a term that we humans have created to describe what happens when there's lack of light."

Finally, the student asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?" The professor replied, "Of course it exists, as I mentioned at the beginning, we see violations, crimes and violence anywhere in the world, and those things are evil."

The student responded, "Sir, Evil does not exist. Just as in the previous cases, Evil is a term which man has created to describe the result of the absence of God's presence in the hearts of man."

After this, the professor bowed down his head, and didn't answer back.

The young man's name was ALBERT EINSTEIN.

Thanks for this.
I heard about this story before but couldn't find it.
So, EINSTEIN was real genius, great scientist but still he believed in God.
Very interesting.

This story is fiction...

When everyone and their mothers can have rifles what would you expect?

For the police the street is a battle zone...

Only when they turn it into one... When everyone and their mothers can have a rifle, then the criminals must be fearful of everyone and their mothers...

No, the criminals get more violent and even bigger guns and so does the police, and someone profits a lot from this cycle of violence.

The optimal amount of guns in a society is zero.

There's no opportunity for me to watch the videos. Can you explain what your premise, hypothesis, or position is so we can discuss it?

How did the big bang happen?

Nothing turned into something?

Thats what evolutionists want you to believe, that the ONE time in history that matter was created out of thin air, it just so happened to create 98% of all matter that exists in the universe today.  If thats not a fairy tale I dont know what is!!!!!

Actually, it is a fairy tale, usually used in religious writings...

The theory of evolution has nothing to do with the origin of the universe, and even the origin of the universe models out there aren't trying to demonstrate "nothing turned into something."

OK guys you really made your points very well.
Thank you.
Still, I tend to agree with this blog author that either there is not much proofs for Darwin's theory as well.
It seems that Darwin's theory is the most logic but still the are some ''holes'' and unproven facts in this theory, isn't it?

There are still many things to learn, of course.

You can check here some of the current research topics in evolutionary biology: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolutionary_biology#Current_research_topics

I strongly recommend reading misconceptions about evolution so you don't get easily fooled by creationists, check here: http://evolution.berkeley.edu/evolibrary/misconceptions_teacherfaq.php

Mitochondrial Eve and Y-Chromosome Adam lived thousands of years apart, they were not a couple.

The concept of “Natural Selection”, sometimes used synonymous with
"Survival of the Fittest”, is often touted as the magic process that when added to mutation will result in advancing steps of higher and higher species and the success of evolution.

This is completely wrong, there are several "forces" operating as natural selectors, not only "survival of the fittest", in many species sexual selection by the females dictates the future of the specie.

In Evolution there's no "higher and higher species."

But it is never a process that will give you a new species.

This is pretty big claim and proof of this will give Nobel prizes, a place in History and a ton of money.

I think that God in different religions and tradition is the same being, just people had different understanding and thinking who is God, based on their cultural and spiritual foundation and development.
In every culture and nation, in the time of need and despair, people was asking for spiritual help and guidance.
This never change.

Of course it has change, now when we are sick we go to the hospital where there is specialized people in health-care, we don't call the witch-doctor or a priest to pray away the disease...
3936  Other / Off-topic / Re: Observations on prayers and miracles? on: August 08, 2014, 08:43:00 PM
If you compare the complicated machinery of man with the far more highly complicated "living machines" of nature, you can see that God exists, according to the dictionary definitions of God, that is. At the very least, nature is God, simply because the things of nature are many orders of complication and detail greater than the best man can do, although man is learning.

Smiley

If you want to define god as nature that's fine, but the majority of believers has a very different definition of god, plus we already have a word for Nature, it's Nature!

I don't see how doing this improves the god hypothesis, because you can define whatever you want as god, someone can say their favorite coffee mug is god, that's fine but we already have a word for that, it's mug...

Unfortunately it is impossible to create a perpetual motion machine. At least, I think, but don't hope it is.

You're right, it is impossible, because thermodynamics.

Usually these type of claims are associated with investment scams just like the water-fueled cars.

In a free market politicians can be bought as anything else, the only way out of this is a fundamental change in laws, but as long as money, instead of people, is able to dictate the rules, this kind of  stuff will never stop.

No surprise, that's the US answer for everything...

United States has a really bad record for foreign policy.
