3922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MTGOX whistleblower...the plot thickens. on: March 08, 2014, 03:26:11 AM
corruption like any other
Yep. Just cause it's bitcoin it's a huge deal, but if this was some typical FIAT banksters that did it, everyone would just shrug and bail them out.
3923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WE are Satoshi Nakamoto on: March 08, 2014, 03:24:14 AM
For every day that bitcoin and cryptos survive, it is that much more likely that humanity will survive the impending fiat collapse.
Quoted for emphasis.

3924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Facts: Is Dorion Satoshi or Not? on: March 07, 2014, 10:00:06 PM
I haven't seen any facts yet. I've only heard circumstantial evidence.

I AM SASOTHI MOTOROLA!

P.S.
3926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will go out on a limb and say it. Dorian S Nakamoto is the real Satoshi. on: March 07, 2014, 06:29:47 PM
After seeing the way much of the public reacts to Bitcoin, I would be deathly afraid to admit I was the creator.
Indeed.

"It is dangerous to be right in matters where established men are wrong."
-Voltaire, Le Siècle de Louis XIV (1752)

"I believe that no discovery of fact, however trivial, can be wholly useless to the race, and that no trumpeting of falsehood, however virtuous in intent, can be anything but vicious.
I believe that all government is evil, in that all government must necessarily make war upon liberty and the democratic form is as bad as any of the other forms.
I believe that the evidence for immortality is no better than the evidence of witches, and deserves no more respect.
I believe in the complete freedom of thought and speech — alike for the humblest man and the mightiest, and in the utmost freedom of conduct that is consistent with living in organized society.
I believe in the capacity of man to conquer his world, and to find out what it is made of, and how it is run.
I believe in the reality of progress.
—But the whole thing, after all, may be put very simply.
I believe that it is better to tell the truth than to lie. I believe that it is better to be free than to be a slave. And I believe that it is better to know than be ignorant."
-H.L. Mencken, from "What I Believe" in The Forum 84 (September 1930), p. 139

Cryptocurrency is the future whether or not you like it, dear reader. FIAT is the walking dead.
3927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi ruined a poor man's life on: March 07, 2014, 05:02:27 PM
If you're gonna make up an online handle (screenname) that is going to become associated (or synonymous) with something as big as Bitcoin
at least be a little fucking creative and not use the name of a real guy who just happens to fit your profile and characteristics...
Hey dumbass, when the Satoshi psuedonym was chosen, bitcoin wasn't "as big" as it is today. In fact, almost nobody in the fucking world knew or cared what cryptocurrency or bitcoin were back then. It is only thanks to the efforts and struggles of the Bitcoin community over the past three years that bitcoin has grown as big as it has.

Now fuckoff back to your cave, you dipshit troll.
3928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Guidelines for Anti-Bitcoin Shills on: March 06, 2014, 05:35:06 AM
Don't worry about it man. Time is on our side, and all these freaks who are terrified of change are simply losing out on the profits.

Any cryptocurrency holder is basically going to be drinking the financial milkshake of the FIAT world by the fucking gallon within 18 months from this post.

Yes, we will all be rich. Yes, all FIAT holders will continue to regret not going "all-in" sooner, and yes, soon the nation-state as we know it will cease to exist.

Cryptocurrency has probably saved several countries from the bloody revolutions they are today headed for, since when their economies implode now their citizens have an escape valve.
3929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin Stolen Its Deposits on: March 04, 2014, 08:27:07 PM
It's crazy how this works. We finally have money that is free of the corruption of banks. But the first thing many people do with their coins is put them in a "bank". I use quotes because they are not banks are they?

Would you let a random person from another country borrow your car? Then why are you leaving your BTC with them?
Quoted for the MFin TRUTH! THANK YOU!

You are a scholar and a gentleman/lady.

God DAMN people are fucking stupid.

It's not _your_ money unless YOU'RE the only one who controls the private keys!!!! It's like CASH! GET IT?
3930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi should give away a good chunk of the 1.000.000 btc he has on: March 04, 2014, 11:45:00 AM
Having 1 million btc is a complete obscenity.

He should start giving them away somehow.

He is not the 1% but the 0.000001% Warren Buffet is broke compared to satoshi (talking about wealth percentage)

What do you think?

A million btc is not worth what you think.   If a million BTC were to be sold or given away in a short period, it would crash the market -- devaluing bitcoin in general, and devaluing your own coins.

Which is probably the point. If I had a million coins, there's no way in hell I would just give them away and neither would you, but it's bad for the supposedly decentralized Bitcoin in general, when one person/entity holds almost 10% of the entire supply and thus has the power to kill it for years.
The creator(s) of bitcoin will let it grow and develop for years only to suddenly and anonymously "kill" (not what would actually happen) it years later?

Seems likely.
3931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1BTC or 1oz of Gold. Which one would you take? on: March 04, 2014, 05:40:07 AM
Too obviously bitcoin.

Bitcoin done in months what gold did in 40 years.
3932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [PROPOSAL] - lock the apparent Mt. Gox coins for now on: March 04, 2014, 05:30:10 AM

3934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we start New Bitcoin? on: March 03, 2014, 10:58:42 PM
Feel free to start a new cryptocurrency, plenty of folks have.

It won't affect bitcoin one bit.

Edit: You "poor rats" - abandoning cryptocurrency won't solve your problems because cryptocurrency didn't create your problems (poverty, inequality).

Capitalism did that, and it is capitalism that you need to abandon. Much harder, I know.
3935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get goxxed. Use secure paper wallets. Ubuntu LiveBoot CD wallet generator. on: March 03, 2014, 10:56:48 PM
Confirmed, OP is legit and that is the correct way to do it, cold boot from CD with no internet connection to generate the keys.
3936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just about the best explanation of Bitcoin for newbies ever! on: March 03, 2014, 12:01:14 AM
If by "best" you mean completely wrong on multiple levels and utterly useless then yes it is the "best".  Nothing wrong with simplifying a concept but if you do such in such a manner that you make completely false statements that kinda defeats the purpose.
QFT!!
3937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most Bitcoin will be clawed back due to widespread theft on: March 02, 2014, 07:26:00 AM
This is why I own a gun. You can have my bitcoin after you kill me, surgically remove my brain, hook it up to a computer, and hack out my brain wallet passcode.

Good luck.
3938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fincern Liable for Mtgox customer Losses on: February 28, 2014, 06:09:31 AM
Only a good lawyer can answer to what degree they are liable, I am not a lawyer.

FinCEN is the Guv. The Guv makes the Laws. The Laws will benefit FinCEN and not hold them accountable... And even if not, the current state of Fed USA is to selectively enforce, or just make it up as they go. The crazies are running the asylum and most lawyers will tell you that it's all subjective and the actual law barely counts anymore. The ones that don't just want your money on a case they know you won't win.
QFT.

Welcome to reality, the world is not fair. The game is rigged, you are a pawnslave, etc.
3939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox's demise/aftermath is actually a heavy blow to Keynesian economic theory on: February 26, 2014, 11:35:20 PM
BTC is already a world currency, just not one that is accepted from the top.
