3921  Economy / Speculation / Re: who believes that the price of BTC high next month? on: January 24, 2021, 04:22:04 PM
I think bitcoin will not touch 40k- 50k $ if you look at ath 2017 it is very unreasonable that it will likely return to a price of $ 15000
It is not unreasonable to reach 40-50k, that was the goal and we peaked over 41k so it is obvious that we can do it, not that we will do it but we can do it so basically it just means that we are going to just have to wait and see. I am not saying we are going to be able to break over 50k neither, all I am saying is you said it is unreasonable and I am saying it is not unreasonable and that's it. Obviously speaking we are going to have some ups and downs during this period. Could we have a bear period where we crash to 15k?

Of course we can, and that would be exactly similar to price going from 20k or so to 3k in the previous bull run, so 15k would be reasonable if there is a crash. I think you are right about that part if it happens, but do not assume that going higher will not happen, it is definitely in the plays if you ask me and that is what I believe will happen.
3922  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 24, 2021, 01:42:43 PM
We all know that it is impossible to accurately predict a rally or price correction in Bitcoin, as there are several factors which influences its rise and fall. Thus, it is necessary to act quickly after deciding to buy or sell Bitcoin, as the price may not remain near the desired levels for a long time. I suggest that the only time to sell bitcoin is if you've made a profit. It's the amount of profit you want that affects your sell point. Have a target, a goal. Just don't put all your dreams in one basket. If you can't lose the lot and just walk away with just a shrug of your shoulders, you have over-speculated.
Acting quickly would do the opposite effect of what you are talking about. Bitcoin moves very fast anyway, and if you move fast with it, you could be right and get a lot of profit from it that's true, but you could also be wrong and lose a lot of money as well.

The best way to approach bitcoin purchase is to make sure you know what you are doing and buying afterwards, if you do your chart readings and technical analysis well enough, spend an hour checking every small detail and you decide on something, you can do it, but reacting with emotions and deciding to buy or sell that quickly may hurt you in the end, it will be like flipping a coin. I believe bitcoin is a long term investment, and that is why I invest over course of long period with installments, and then I get out that way too, I do not get out if I can but if I do, I will do that in installments as well.
3923  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there subject to study Cryptocurrency ? on: January 24, 2021, 10:19:41 AM
There isn’t a particular subject that I know of for sure, but I don’t think it can be a subject on its own, it might be attached to a subject like Economics, Computer Science and Technology.

Any one of these two will have blockchain and cryptocurrency as a topic in it. But, people who I know that have studied blockchain and cryptocurrency and gotten a job with it all studied about it with the help of online course, and some of these people studied something way different from it, and after studying it online they were able to still divert to it and get good paying jobs.
3924  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: January 23, 2021, 06:39:28 PM
The only thing why people are losing faith in centralized organizations because the decentralized method is a good way to have a more secured and fast transaction without authorities getting involved. Decentralization also solves trust issues because most people have their own sensitive data, money, and assets that they don't need to rely on authorities to protect them.
That's true and decentralization while solves a lot of problems, I always feel that certain things are good being centralized because when things are decentralized and some bug or scam happens then you cannot hold anyone responsible for that. I mean imagine investing in something where you don't know who is operating it and how it works, then getting scammed you have no option to lodge a complaint.

Lets say some data is stolen from Facebook then we know we can hold someone responsible but in a decentralized system we don't know whom to ask if anything goes wrong. I like the decentralization being implemented at most places now but still being a non-technical guy I have my own worries about the system.
3925  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: January 23, 2021, 05:29:05 PM
Hi,
Ofcourse steve is always here to help, my feedback was on the live chat, i dont really want to trouble steve for every little thing that live support is not able to help with (its not his job and i am sure he is very busy with his own responsibilities)

As far as the ban, it was for 24 hours which was removed before time by steve when i brought that to his attention.

The issues are not big enough to warrant me posting screenshots/conversations publicly, just small little things that i wanted to be cleared (regarding promos/site functionality)

They are also not big enough for me to stop using the site  Cheesy But the previous poster was talking about his experience so i posted mine
Yeah we do have different type of experiences in the same places, one could feel awesome and be very happy and love everything about it, some other may find it horrible and not be part of it at all, I do not know which one I would consider myself to be because I am not that much in love with it or hate it but I can safely say it is the best sportsbook in the crypto world to me.

However sometimes I feel like I need a change because keep gambling on the same place over and over again makes things boring, even if you are the best sportsbook in the world eventually it gets boring so I move to regular casinos sometimes to play like dice or roulette or whatever, then I go back to sportsbet.io so that I could have fun again. However thankfully I never faced any problems with the live support, only needed them once and they were very quick there and never needed again.
3926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: January 23, 2021, 07:48:08 AM
Lakers won this game, final score 113-106. Lebron played very well here with 34 points and 6-10 3 point shooing. Giannis did really struggle, the kind of defense the Lakers put in him was so effective, and this is how other teams are beating Gainnis in the playoffs. I think most of the bettors here bet on the Lakers, I saw in the betting thread, most of the picks are on the Lakers.

2 games left now.

GSW vs NYK and Jazz vs Pels.

This game was an easy game for the Lakers especially at the 4th quarter where they already control the game because the Bucks has no other option to defence the Lakers of their unstoppable offence and yeah, you're right about the Bucks offence today, it kinda sucks. They should fix it or else their playoffs will be the same as last year's. Lakers need to continue this kind of play, especially with the team that has a chance to beat them. Now they got the best record in the NBA I'm sure they gonna hold that position after some more games.
Bucks are seen as finalists for the past 2 years, and now this year makes it third but I feel like they are still not there. Coach Bud is great and all but he has to learn how to play his stars 40+ minutes on important games, that is not really a horrible thing to do.

I get that Coach Bud comes from being under Pop's wings, and Pop usually rested Timmy, Manu and Tony many many times, and he tried to play these players as low minutes as possible, as long as it was possible to go to playoffs being super high wasn't really that important for Pop, hell Spurs was an awesome team until very very recently on 2016 when Warriors broke 73 game streak they had like 64-65 wins as well. However that is spurs, Coach Bud needs to realize Bucks is not like that, you have to play Giannis and Kris 40+ minutes a game on those very important games such as lakers. If you just let the gas go, Lakers will take over and destroy you.
3927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 23, 2021, 06:44:40 AM
Almost certainly Martin Odegaard will be a player for Arsenal next week.
Odegaard will returned to Real Madrid after trials in the Laliga playing for Sociedad last year to find himself unable to prove himself in the starting lineup . Zidane does not favor the 4-2-3-1 plan, which is the plan that includes The brilliance of the Norwegian player, which drew attention to him when he excelled with Sociedad last season .
Is Arsenal the right place for him
Obviously he is not a bad player, dude is one of the best young talents we have in the world, but if you failed to show yourself in real Madrid and "drop" to arsenal, is that really a bad thing? Cheesy. I mean Arsenal is still one of the best teams in the premier league, would put them in top 10 unless they have some troubles and they have such a huge history as well, sure real Madrid is great and all but if you "failed into arsenal" that is kind of awesome.

I wouldn't really expect a player to be bad player if they are in arsenal. This kids only problem is that he started very big and because of the hype people expected way too much from him, anyone who knows football is that you can't make players with certain skills play another way, if he was awesome somewhere and not so great somewhere else, that doesn't mean he is bad, it just means he wasn't capable of adopting to the new role.
3928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I get rich by trading on: January 22, 2021, 11:41:16 AM
The simplest way to answer the topic question is to ask yourself,
if there are really millionaires and billionaires who met there fortune through trading bitcoin?
If for whatever reason you get to answer yes to yourself, then the next question for you is,
should they meet their fortune through trading, why can't you?

It's a simple thing, the era your met with doesn't matter much, your knowledge, experience, capital and how you manage risk determines how fast you would to attaining your goal and how well you would do trading bitcoin. Having all this in check could be the go you need.
There are really no people who became billionaires by "trading" bitcoin, there could be maybe one or two that made a billion dollars by getting it very early but there are really not that many people with that much bitcoin neither as far as we know, the most recent is Grayscale who profited billions but they did it via investing. Everyone can become very rich by investing if they start at high level and gain a decent return like 20% a year for 20+ years, but trading is not a billionaires job.

You do not see people buy and sell in 50+ million range that frequently, they just buy and hold and later sell months later. However we do not need to become billionaires, that is too much, but what we can be is millionaires. Even just this year some guy made his 70k into 1+ million dollars via margin trading and high leverages, obviously on a good period, took him just 6 months. So yes trading could make you a millionaire, but maybe not billionaire.
3929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: January 22, 2021, 11:12:05 AM
As a beginner there are lots of things to put in consideration and there are lot's of things you have to avoid. First of all you don't have to be greedy when trading, you also have to learn how to control your emotions when trading, don't always fomo, always use your stop loss but I think that one is optional, always make sure you make your own research before buying any coin, avoid coins with low volume and always know when to exit the market. I think this are something you have to know as a beginner but you can still do more research.
Knowing these is one thing, being capable of doing them are another, I would say you definitely know it right and you should follow these very carefully, but it will be a lot harder when you are in a tough situation with it. I am not saying you will fail, there are so many great traders and investors who started as newbies like you and became great, you could definitely become one of them, there are so much more people who knew but failed because they got excited about it as well so try to not be like them.

Also work on DCA a lot, there is always merit into that because if you can do DCA properly and keep buying consistently for long period of years? That is going to end up allowing you to retire without any problem at all, that is the type of thing you should be focusing on and not just how to buy low and sell high since that would be too quick.
3930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attention: Biden has officially won, make sure your sportsbook pay you. on: January 22, 2021, 10:21:04 AM
That really took a long time for the elections to come to an end. That Trump was also very stubborn. But on the other hand, it is also logical that he did not just want to resign from his presidency. I wonder if people bet a lot that Biden would win.
Trump acted like a sore loser and only increased his haters with this kind of behavior but anyways finally things are confirmed and I hope all the sportsbooks have paid our their players. I made a small bet at stake and got paid out way back so was never waiting for this but I know lots of sites waited until now to pay out so congrats who got paid finally.

People did not bet a lot on Biden, in fact Trump was the heavy favorite from what I remember when live betting was going on and even on the last day where only a few electoral votes/seat were left the odds were still up and I was surprised if that was a mistake because Biden win was almost certain and odds on last day though were low around 1.1 but still juicy considering he already almost won it. But Trump was favorite earlier until counting began.
3931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: January 22, 2021, 09:01:52 AM
XRP is quite attractive to buyers and investors despite of not good information that came out. It is still one of the top altcoins and what I also liked in XRP is the fast and low transaction fee. Now that XRP has a lowest value many people grab this opportunity to buy more because I also think that XRP is good for a long term.
Quite frankly even as someone who hates XRP as much as possible, I wouldn't say that it was a bad one, it is definitely one of the best at moving money around, that is literally the reason why it was created and Ripple made tens of millions of dollars worth of profit from transacting money around for bigger companies using XRP as well because that is the point of it. However question here is the fact that there are people who use it for buying and holding it and trying to make money from it.

So buying it and holding it will not be using advantages of quick and cheap transactions, because you buy it and hold it and not move it, if you do not move it then how it is fast will not matter. And for buying and keeping it will never be profitable and will never be understandable by others because it is really not looking great anymore.
3932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is dying on: January 22, 2021, 08:11:00 AM
The price of XRP in dollars is still higher then 3 months ago so I don't think it's dying.

They just had some problems but it looks like it's getting up again.
Definitely, ripple is never dead and can never die, though their case in the court with SEC will bring their price down for some certain period of time, but that doesn't mean they will be dead. In the coming weeks, ripple price will go more higher than expected because it is cheaper at the moment.
It "may" die, it can't never die because it is tied to centralized organization. How it could "die"? It could die if the company Ripple one day is bankrupted and closed, if that happens that means XRP is still out there, nobody could delete all XRP and that means it is still out there even if there is no more Ripple company in the world, so it is not fully dead. However one thing is for sure if the company bankrupted or closed for any reason, or simply just jailed the owners, that would be sort of dead by in any standard.

We have to realize that if that happens that means we are not going to see XRP used that much anymore, what would people do with XRP when Ripple is gone? That is why I think there is a chance it could die, I doubt that it would be fully closed ever and Ripple will continue even if SEC finds them guilty of anything, but there is a possibility.
3933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 21, 2021, 06:50:16 PM
Another early exit for Real Madrid, so once more Barca fans like me will be happy to progress and know we won't meet them. Not like it's really going to change things. Probably even worse to reach the final and lose again at the end;)

But anyway, good news our rivals are all also falling about.
Honestly it is really a weird feeling to have Real Madrid get out this early once again, they are such a big and great club, why not care about the cup at all?

I mean they didn't play with full youth squad or anything but they did played with few players resting that is for sure, I get that you are playing against a much much lower opponent so that is why you think having few starter caliber players are enough, but as we can see from this example it is never enough, you have always have a fire underneath you so that you could beat people, it doesn't matter if it is starters or bench or anything, if you do not play with a decent hype or motivation you are going to end up losing to anyone.

In any case I think it is obvious that Barcelona will have a huge advantage this year, if Real lost that means Barça can lose too so they need to be careful, but their biggest rival is out so they have a good shot at it.
3934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1inch discussion on: January 21, 2021, 04:08:58 PM
https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/coinmarketcap-earn-campaign-with-1inch
CoinMarketCap Earn Campaign With 50,000 1inch Reward Pool

"CoinMarketCap's latest earn campaign is with DEX aggregator 1inch — get learning!

In order to facilitate a smooth distribution process, CoinMarketCap users must also have Binance Know-Your-Customer verified accounts to participate in the CoinMarketCap Earn campaign. This may be revisited for future campaigns, but for the 1inch campaign, you must have a Binance KYC account to receive 1inch rewards. "
I feel like these "distributions" or basically called airdrops are the reason why prices are capable of dropping easily, because without airdrops there would be only people who have paid for it and people who paid for it wouldn't be capable of selling it that easily, they would want profit, and if the price goes down they would stop selling. However when it is free, there is nothing we could talk about at all, we are basically talking about people who do few clicks and then get it for free and they sell it right away.

Thankfully many things in ethereum chain right now can't be sold that easily, I have spent 10 dollars into a token on pre-sale and it came out recently and I have about 30 dollars of it now, price went up, that is great, however I can't even withdraw because it requires 32 dollars to swap it with ethereum Cheesy So I have to wait. Airdrops are fine as long as you do it small but not this hugely.
3935  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: January 21, 2021, 03:28:30 PM
For me, the financial crisis helps to pump the bitcoin's market its the opportunity for it. Many speculators hang tight for the crash and put their asset when the market goes down. However, by watching the outline of bitcoin's value its appears to be that the financial crisis is presently far away from the bitcoins. The cost is higher than our assumption and now it's difficult for a financial crisis to crash such sum.
That is what crypto meant to be as well, if you have a crash in the regular fiat world that means fiat is going higher and higher in number and inflation is increasing, which is why it is vitally important that people seek other platforms to make money, crypto is number one in that now only rivaled by gold but all the new money goes to crypto not gold, gold has been invested long enough and doesn't produce the same amount of returns anymore.

It is going to take time before we can go over the gold market cap in the world, but we are certainly going there, I do not doubt one second that crypto marketcap will be bigger than gold market cap, and I believe not only crypto market cap, but bitcoin market cap alone will be capable of going over gold as well. We started as a "currency" but crypto became an asset and it became a great one as well.
3936  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of your total assets would you rather invest in bitcoin? on: January 21, 2021, 09:11:27 AM
Assume if your total asset is $200k, expenses/month $7k, income $10k, then preserve $84k as savings for 1 year, invest 50% or $100k in bitcoin if you want to hold it for a year or less. We know bitcoin will reach at least $100k by the end of the year, right?  Cheesy
We hope we know Grin, but in reality, we even don't know what will happen five minutes in the future.
Losing 10% of your net worth is not a big deal. I did it several times, actually, but losing 50% of your net worth is something to cry about.

Of course, the conservative-aggressive spectrum is relative. For some people putting 50% is neutral, but for me, people who did it have big balls made of steel.
I would say even 50% is not to cry about depending on the situation. I am a lucky person to say that my savings account is not something I need to use, at least not all of it and a small portion of it would be fine if an emergency happens but I have managed to instead create debt and repay that instead of using my savings account. During 2018 I have lost literally everything in my account, no crypto no nothing, it was a bad year for me, after an amazing and unbelievable 2017 year I had to yield and let it go.

However I didn't stop, I worked, I earned, I saved, I invested and traded, and right now I have nearly back to that level of money saved again, took me about 2 years but I have reached there obviously with a great help from bitcoin as well. Long story short you can go to zero, have nothing, and you can still regroup and get back on the horse. Never be discouraged, anything is possible if you are willing to work for it.
3937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 21, 2021, 06:00:57 AM
I read the news that Inter want to change the club name and logo. If this is true then they are following Juventus' steps in changing the logo and club name. The name Football Club Internazionale Milano will change its name to Inter Milano and the club logo will have the initials FCIM. This step was taken by the club to modernize the club without leaving history. In addition, this is a strategy to attract new global sponsors. Because we know that during this period, many clubs have experienced financial crises. If I'm not mistaken, the changes will occur on March 9 at the age of 113 Inter.

Source: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/13776149/inter-milan-change-name-logo-anniversary/
I believe that would be easier for many official paper deals, but we are all calling them Inter anyway so it wouldn't really change anything for branding reasons.

Financially speaking, global brands could still advertise with Inter if they want to and it will be "Inter" for us anyway, and it is to the whole world, hell you can do that on a commercial as well if you want to, there is nothing stopping you from calling it inter. This is just saving some paper space by shortening it and that's about it, I do not think it would attract more customers somehow.

But in any case, they are probably modernizing and that is the correct part, because this name being shorter and a new logo that would make it more sleek and simple would allow people to actually feel a lot more connected, I just hope the change is not as bad as Warner brothers new logo change.
3938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 19, 2021, 05:52:55 PM
Mandzukic is a strong man and he is ready to sacrifice his position for benefit of the club. I did not forget how he sacrificed his role to help Juventus in the past. In some moments, Mandzukic played as swing back for Juventus and kept fighting with blood on his face.

In his national squad, Croatia, he is a main striker but he did not hesitate to run, tackle, prevent opponents at their defensive area.

Generally, Mandzukic is a good contract for AC Milan. It will be a good ending for AC Milan if they can take the Scudetto with Ibra, Manzdukic and young teammates. Then they can take this season as a cornerstone for their come back in Serie A.
Ibrahimovic would probably be the only player you will ever need if he was fine and maybe he will be fine as well we do not know, but Milan saw how awesome he was but how he missed like a million games already because of both corona virus and an injury, they realized they needed someone else as well. I do not know if they are going to play them both together, if they want to they can do that, or maybe they could do more like bench one and start the other situation as well.

Ibrahimovic after scoring this many goals in this little amount of game would probably not look being benched that nicely, but Mandzukic would probably be fine with it, he could play like last 20 minutes of games and all the games Ibrahimovic may miss with something else, and that would be enough since he is already getting paid anyway. I just feel that is a lot more likely situation.
3939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: January 19, 2021, 08:14:24 AM
Not a few people are interested in investing in cryptocurrency and you may be amazed by the high yields that the Crypto world can offer, try to teach the person who asks, the more you can teach the more people who know crypto.
I would say take advantage of the situation as well. I know it sounds like a bad thing but in reality it is not. If you are known as the "crypto" person in your circle and they have seen crypto increased so much but it didn't help them? So now they want to get in?

Well, that is where you get involved with these things, they will ask you how they could be part of it right? They will ask you how they can invest or own bitcoin and all. If you just point them out to first exchange you can think of and explain how they can buy and leave, that would mean you gained nothing from that.

Instead you should probably find a way to gather all that attention towards one point, something that would benefit you as well. I am not saying suggest just one coin, unless you are friends with Michael Bloomberg, they are not going to increase the price a lot, but more like a project that you are working on, related to crypto, maybe even a defi? That way they would be the first investors that provide LP and staking.
3940  Economy / Speculation / Re: When and How much low on next Bear Market? on: January 18, 2021, 04:05:54 PM
It is very interesting when we discuss when the bull market will end, because surely everyone has different opinions. Because it is very difficult
to predict the price movement of Bitcoin, even the increase in the price of Bitcoin to $ 40,000 no one expected. But usually if the Bitcoin price
increase is too high like now, usually in the near future there will be a bear market.

Based on my prediction the end of January the bull market will end, then my prediction regarding the lowest price Bitcoin that will occur in the next
bear market is that it will drop to $ 10,000. Because seeing the Bitcoin price that managed to go up above $ 40,000 if it fell back below $ 10,000
it seems unlikely. Hopefully my predictions are correct.
I disagree that it has to have a bear market very soon, after all we could potentially stay here for a while as well. Remember that 10k period? For nearly 6 months we have stayed in 10k price point , in 2019 it was really crazy because we were like 8k to 12k constantly without going any down or higher than that.

I believe we could have something similar to 2019 in 2021 but with a lot higher price, we will probably stay at a certain price and not move too much, not too high not too low. I am not saying it will happen at 40k, it could be at any price, it could be 30k, 35k, 40k, 50k who knows where it will be but there is a chance that could happen. Which is why I think it is quite important that we end up looking at the potential of stability more than we look at potential of bear market. Obviously you should still have some stop loss just in case anyway.
