3921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: January 25, 2017, 11:09:11 AM
online dice and offline poker.
dice games are so much fun and easy to play online with bitcoin. fast and easy and from any place on any device you can play them. also you can do so many different strategies on them. plus you can always start from a very small amount of in your bets even with faucet payment.
and poker is only good for offline games, i have never seen a good site for them and all the online games lack the human interaction which is the main part of any poker game in my opinion.
3922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Epic Gambling Story. on: January 25, 2017, 11:02:23 AM
if this is a common thing for you and you are losing this many times in sports betting, then i guess must be doing something wrong because in sports betting you are only successful and know what you are doing as long as your stats are better than other games. more wins than losses in short.
3923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price speculation make sense on: January 25, 2017, 10:57:38 AM
I've seen a lot of threads on this forum, speculating about the price of bitcoin regularly. We make guesses but what are they based on? It might be a chart with previous fluctuations but we know that if something happened once it doesn't mean it will happen again. And yet I guess it is us, the btc users, who actually control the price by believing in it bieng worth something. What do you think?

it depends on which topic you are talking about, they are mostly FUD topics and full of lies wanting to achieve some purpose, mostly filling their own orders they have places before.
but you do the same as you do with any other market price, it is based on analysis of the market.
you can read about so many resources in the sticky here and also if you search for them on the internet about how to speculate the price and be a trader.
3924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The purpose of altcoins ? on: January 24, 2017, 04:01:19 PM
Saying the truth bitcoin does not have all necessary things and it not complete at all so many people have 'invented' new coins for new things.

this may have been true once. specially in the early days that bitcoin came out but these days with these new coins i have indeed lost my faith in altcoins to "invent" anything new and good. sometimes a new project comes out that seems to be good but after a while of checking i see it is the same pump and dump as always.

Quote
Transaction fees mostly are much cheaper that bitcoin but this is a small reason to move from bitcoin, but also for trading this is great.

the fees are lower mostly because the block rewards are high and difficulty is not high enough to make mining that hard. also it is low because the price of altcoins are low.
also they are lower because if they were high nobody would have send anything.
3925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: January 24, 2017, 03:31:23 PM
There is a easy way to get a profit from gambling but it has more risk to include. You need a luck on playing gambling .There are some tricks on playing gambling but for me you should know your own way on how you play gambling. Easy profit is possible but remember the large risk on it. Theres no way you cant lose in playing gambling.

there is no trick in gambling.
you are either playing a chance based game such as dice and have a strategy so that you can have a better game and a better chance of winning with your strategy or you are not and taking risks that can be avoided.
or you are playing a skill based gambling like poker in that case if  have lots of experience and have been playing that game for a while you can make a decent profit out of it but otherwise it is again taking risks that can be avoided.
3926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are your favorite for daily trade? on: January 24, 2017, 03:17:17 PM
i did some day trading with Monero for a while and this was a couple of months ago when the price was rising like crazy and i made a very good amount of profit from it. but since day trading needs lots of tools and a lot more time i have paused the operations for now! so i don't know which one of these coins is best for day trading today. but i have my eye on Ethereum to see if we can see another pump to the moon.
3927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking to Invest 1 bitcoin on: January 24, 2017, 03:12:18 PM
if i had 1 bitcoin and i was new to trading, i would hold on to that 1 bitcoin and start learning trading without money first. then i would invest 0.01BTC at least and start testing what i have learned and then increase it to 1 bitcoin little by little when i gained some confidence.
if you invest 1 bitcoin right now you will be burning it so fast.
but after a while you will know how to make it double in a short time.
3928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still use Bitcoin if price would be stable for years? on: January 24, 2017, 03:06:49 PM
bitcoin price was the last thing that i had in mind when i started using bitcoin. i was interested in the rest of the features such as decentralize, low fees and security. and then price was a thing that i also enjoyed on top of all that.

and also you should all remember that if and when bitcoin price becomes stable that means people can start treating bitcoin more as a currency and that means a lot more shops will start accepting bitcoin as soon as price stability happens.
3929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Way to Sell Bitcoin in My Situation? on: January 23, 2017, 07:57:54 AM
check out the bitcoin exchanges that are offering bitcoin/fiat(USD) exchange https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/
and find out which one of them is more suited to your needs. they mostly offer the same options for bank transfer sometimes with different fees,...
i believe your best and easiest option would be coinbase as you already have an account there. but generally you can use any exchange for selling bitcoin for current price as long as that exchange is trusted and all the high volume exchanges nowadays are trusted to some extent.
my suggestions: coinbase, bitstamp, kraken, cex.io, bitfinex
but make sure to check out their ToS and fees.
3930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling : Your new strategy will work. But every day you need a new one. on: January 23, 2017, 07:42:30 AM
I am not searching for a shortcut, but trying to figure out where I am lagging.
But I am afraid I may end up wasting half of my life in finding out a perfect strategy.

Probably no or random strategy is the right approach ? or just searching for a new strategy is the real fun in gambling ?

yeah you will waste your life finding a "perfect strategy" because there is none. it is like wasting your life finding bigfoot Cheesy
gambling is always going to be gambling, a risky game of luck or chance. and if you are lucky you will win and if you are unlucky you will lose, it is as simple as that.

the strategies purpose is to guide you through a strict rules so that you don't get crazy emotional and lose all your money. and also if the strategy is any good it can only increase your chance but never to a 100%
3931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to create own bitcoin gambling site? on: January 23, 2017, 07:36:18 AM
How to create own bitcoin gambling site?
you either know programming and website design and then look for scripts or build one yourself and design the site. which i think you don't know any of these. so you hire someone to do it for you.

Quote
Is this really for usually user?
if you mean for regular user, then no. you can't just open up a casino and expect anyone play there! and certainly you can not expect making money this way.

it needs lots of experience, and a really cool idea/game.
you can download a dice script from internet, pay for hosting and start your site in matter of hours. but what is the point of that? no one will choose your site unless it is different in a good way.
3932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy? on: January 23, 2017, 07:29:20 AM
I don't thin it is the time to buy right now as the prices are quite high already and that would mean that you wouldn't profit that much when it does go up. I don't think it would go up that much anymore anyway. The best time was around a week ago when the prices are at $750.

bitcoin is on the rise again, and yeah the dips are always the best time to buy bitcoin but if you look at the time of fist post it was a round the time when dip happened and he should have bought then.

but again, you can't always wait for a dip, specially a big dip to buy bitcoin. the opportunities pass so fast by you that you will miss out if you adopt this strategy.
3933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When does a coin become officially dead? on: January 23, 2017, 07:23:53 AM
there is nothing called officially in my opinion.
you can call a coin dead for many reasons for example:
  • when the developer gives up on his own project and nobody else is interested in picking up where he left off.
  • when the price goes to 1 satoshi and there is no buy orders and nobody is buying from the asks either.
  • you can even go as far as calling a coin dead when it is getting dumped real hard down to 1 satoshi
  • technically a coin is dead if there is no one mining it and there is no full node of it available any more.
3934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did you started to gamble? What was your beginning like? on: January 22, 2017, 08:31:26 AM
i started gambling with dice, and it was in a faucet that had a section for multiplying bitcoin, and in there i faced the biggest house edge i have ever seen (5%) but i liked the idea of gambling online with bitcoin. so ever since i have been playing different games, and gamble on many of them. but mostly i have been playing Dice and sometimes some sports betting.
3935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of truly instant and anonymous bitcoin casinos on: January 22, 2017, 08:25:12 AM
i don't see you give a definition of anonymity, it has such a wide range of definition. from what i can read in your post you mainly consider them anonymous if they don't ask for ID but that is not all. a truly anonymous casino is the one that apart from not asking for any ID,... doesn't keep any logs such as loging your IP address.

i don't know any case that someone would want that but whenever there is talk of anonymity keeping logs is the main issue.

and also if you want more anonymity then they should offer TOR mirrors for extra anonymity. again i can't think of any reason why anyone would want this. and besides all the casinos that i have seen so far which were working with bitcoin never ask for any ID and Email is optional and good for increasing security.
3936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is altcoin used for? on: January 22, 2017, 08:18:51 AM
altcoins are supposed to be used for newer technologies, trying out new ideas, improving the blockchain technology that bitcoin introduced to public, and many more things. and you can see many of these in many of the altcoins. but what happens in reality is that altcoins are used for trading only, there is no transaction apart from a trader sending to exchange or from exchange to their wallet to sell later.

and to be fair there are some potential here and there but they all have so many weak points.
3937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin break $2000? because of Trump? on: January 22, 2017, 08:10:27 AM
I think this fact will happen in this year. After Trump 's inauguration , Bitcoin price is rising up higher and it's quite closer to 1,000$ price. it seems the world economy is ready for new crisis when USD is down badly with Trump's decision and it has effected to bitcoin price immediately.

what you are saying is highly speculative. and i have been hearing it for many years about USD value dropping and failing economy of US, and i am not saying it is never going to happen but i have never seen any valid argument and it has not yet happened.

and besides bitcoin price goes up and is better to go up with adoption not just because somewhere in the world economy is shit and more people want out with new investments. that just makes price more volatile.
3938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In a Bitcoin Disaster where would you move your Money? on: January 22, 2017, 08:05:28 AM
why does everyone thinks if bitcoin fails, disaster or whatever, people are going to look for a substitute?!!
well they may look for an alternative but won't substitute it with the existing altcoins. they are all bad. and if bitcoin fails all of them are doomed.
there was actually a good, long topic about it around here talking about what will you do if bitcoin fails. and it is similar argument, most people dust themselves up and move on with their lives. back to fiat.
3939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in China on: January 22, 2017, 08:01:16 AM
I know this is going to be an older topic to many of you, but I've been quite busy lately!
you are right on that. this news is one of the oldest ones around. and a while back i found out that the news about China banning bitcoin dates back to 2013, it may even be older than that but i could find this much Cheesy

Quote
After Bitcoin skyrocketed up to the 1,100 USD mark recently, then was knocked down significantly
every rise and fall should be think of as a relative rise and fall.
this so called knock down was not significant when you compare it with the amount that of the rise.

Quote
I don't think there is even an argument to be had that if they do ban it, that Bitcoin will take a major blow.  If that happens, a large short term or long term worry?

there is lots of arguments to be had on this!!
China is not the only place using bitcoin, there are many other countries that are using bitcoin more than you imagine.
3940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will segwit be activated? on: January 20, 2017, 11:14:25 AM
i have one more hope for SegWit's fate and that is litecoin SegWit. as you may know litecoin is similar to bitcoin in every aspect and they recently added support for SegWit.
according to http://litecoinblockhalf.com/segwit.php the start is in 28 days and i really hope the miners accept it and we can see SegWit in action.

that will surely clarify many things, so maybe we can finally make up our mind about SegWit and whether to support it or not. (by we i mostly mean miners Smiley )

Ver wants Bitcoin to split by hardfork just like Etherium

well i don't follow these things much and don't really know R.V. but from this tweet is seems to be an idiot who doesn't know how manipulated market cap is.
let met explain for those who may not know it.
ethereum has a huge supply (and this supply is just a number in the code, unlike real commodities this can easily be created and since not all the 80+ million coins are available to public it is a fake supply)
now market cap is just supply * price
when there is two chains, there is two sets of that massive supply. even if price of ETC were $1 its market cap was 80+ million dollar

and not to mention the market he is talking about are pump and dumpers enjoying another altcoin among hundreds of others to pump and dump.

p.s. maybe he is heavily invested in ethereum and wants his payment Wink
