Iran already wanted to launch its own crypto, Old news from July 2018 Gold-Backed Cryptocurrency Launched by Iranian Banks: Report I don't see much explained in the article. it talks only about Trump, the US Vs Iran, Trump, and again Trump. The central bank approved the issuance and nothing else explained.

We all have different needs, so what is best for you, is not necessarily best for others.
For example, many of you mention Binance, and your main argument is its volume. I'm fine to use an exchange with less volume, and I do currently. I've by far more important concerns to consider an exchange "my best"
Another argument @ralle14 talks about is the fact there is no KYC. I don't use Binance, but to my knowledge, there is a process (if you want to withdraw more than XBTC per day, or something like that (?)). (By the way, people don't care about KYC, they have no problem to give their underwear size if needed.)
But let's continue with the KYC. Why do you think Binance isn't so strict with it? Because they don't have fiats! As soon they add banking transactions you can be sure the KYC process will be as strict as every others exchange. And while I'm about it, Kraken wasn't asking much information for years (no ID card, proof residence), despite the fact they do banking transactions on a large scale.
Besides this, I don't deny Binance is one of the most popular nor I criticize what it accomplished, but why do you think they launched 'Binance Jersey'? fiats!

@OP
Perhaps you can start to develop something yourself with Wordpress or another open-source script, an eCommerce theme, etc...? After some months, pay someone for development when you need. Don't need to be big the day 1, you can build your site step by step as time pass.
Unfortunately, you will hardly find someone working for free, unless he's looking to build a portfolio because he just starts his 'career'. I got help a few times like this over the years but it's rare.

The question is not about if he has to pay taxes or what percentage. It's about where he is eligible to pay it. There is no need to visit a lawyer for this.
@OP You have to report the gains in the country you're located. If you move your location you will pay the taxes in the new country. In my country, you need to live a minimum of 6 months outside to not be considered eligible to pay the taxes to France. Let's say I buy bitcoins today and move to Germany tomorrow if I sell within 6 months I pay the taxes in France, if I sell after 6 months the taxes will be payable to Germany.

Bitcoin and gold are both different investment types, like real estate is another one, they all have different purposes. Gold investors aren't looking for outstanding performances, most of them are fine even with 0% yearly interest. Why? Because they're not here for a profit but to secure their funds. You don't invest in gold hoping it will outperform Bitcoin, this is insane. When we hold bitcoins we're not doing it to secure a capital but to gamble hoping its value will increase, (we're are speculating) If I'm looking to save some money in a safe way/place I'd rather buy a piggy bank or gold coins. If I'm ok to take some risks I would think to invest in volatile markets (whatever if it's in Bitcoin or not) If I would invest in something for 100 years it would be 3 homes (a home in Southern Europe, probable in Italy or France), a loving wife, many good paintings and some loving children. Investing in a loving wife. Yeah, I do this. It's called paying a prostitute. Guess what? The investment is here 1h and the value crash ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

A few days ago, we were talking about it in the French section, so I will repeat my opinion here.
We have nothing to complain about, either in term of moderation (the moderation is better than before) or how the merits are sent (and how many). (Compared to the English forum where most people confuse this with a Facebook Like button... yeah I say it)
it's not a big community like some others but there is/are enough source(s) and rewarded posts compared to its activity. This is just my opinion. The French community isn't like the English forum with some people hunting for merits up to licking the ass

I did have several prepaid cards and I struggled to find a place to purchase bitcoins with. Once they told me the card needs to be issued by a bank and bla bla bla. And since all others needed my identity and I still wasn't sure if they were going to accept the cards I gave up.
You can't even link the card to a mobile app for example since you will probably need to receive a code to the phone number linked to the card...which you can't do...

I saw you made few improvement from user's feedback. - 5 rows looks great, but flexible number of row depending on browser resolution would be better since desktop comes with various resolution & display size. - Personally i'd recommend https://bitcoinmagazine.com/ for your news source, even though they often make article/report rather than news. You also can check Press boards for reference - Avoid news sources which often use click-bait, such as CoinIdol (it's my opinion) I got tired to read Coinidol news here to be honest. Once I wanted to know what sources they're using because, in my opinion, it was just a site that republished the news from other websites. I figured the news they publish aren't real news, they have real ones but they also mix different stories to make a new one or start a new from scratch based on nothing

I wanted to sell Amazon gift cards here in the forum with a 1:1 rate. The gift cards are totally legit, I can even provide a receipt of payment with company numbers, address, etc, so if it turns to be a scam, people could fight back The only thing is the gift cards are only available in the .fr One more reason for any seller to sell it cheap is that, we don't really get potential buyers for some specific amazon.xxx gift cards (where xxx could be any domain extension depending on your country and/or type of rewards you get based on the same) and the impossibility for a seller to be able to find a buyer quickly if he's in need, he sells with some discount after negotiations. ...
I use Bing Rewards as well, I don't make as much I guess you're in the US, and I'm European. Well, I get a card every 5 weeks about. It doesn't hurt to save some bucks I also wish to know about this from anyone who belongs to India, i.e.; can I also obtain amazon.in gift cards through Bing rewards program? It depends on where do you live. For example, I noticed @philipma1957 can choose the Amazon.com gift card so that's why I supposed he's living there. Me, European, I don't see Amazon gift card but 3 other options or to donate to a charity. If you go to the rewards page you can see the option available in your country. (...if Bing reward was launched in India...)

The fact is that Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, but it is also fact that it is first decentralized cryptocurrency.
Perhaps for the decentralization but for the cryptocurrency, I'm not sure if we can say Bitcoin is the first (since cryptocurrency = currency using cryptography). There are hascash, bitgold, bmoney and a dozen of others, maybe the older was started 20 or 30 years ago. As for BTC success (if it's what you wanted to say) yes I agree it's the first one.

Japan anime? You will maybe waste your time because these companies will take your site down in no time. They're fast enough to act and I don't give you two months before your site goes off. Obviously, you will need to use an offshore hosting provider but it will add up the costs since it usually costs more. And it won't prevent the chance to maybe get catch

it's inevitable that new and better ways of doing things will be discovered You're referring to altcoins. Of course, new coins will emerge while others will be forgotten. It comes back to endless debates about what's the best between BTC vs XXX But don't forget Bitcoin can also evolve and remain competitive. There's a lot more to improve, Segwit didn't come the day 1. There are also multiple things like MimbleWimble, Schnorr which will help BTC But is it really about just being first in today's world? No, it's about the most robust and the most useful I like to compare Bitcoin with Debian. Debian is the mother of most GNU/Linux OS today (Unbuntu, Zorin, Lubuntu,...). It creates different OS, for a different population, different needs, different communities, etc but in the end, Debian is still the queen, proof: devs keep to fork it

The above mentioned decentralized exchange even have problems that is why people prefer centralised exchange more than decentralized one.
No, I think people prefer to wait until the platform is hacked, a fake CEO death or a jurisdiction closing the site, to be able to lose their coins properly. </sarcasm>... But regarding your point, I disagree. Statically decentralized exchanges have, by far, fewer problems than the centralized. Whatever if it's about the user account, IT security, etc... How many DEXs have been hacked so far? And how many CEXs?

You said you recommend to people to not use your website, seriously? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) What about putting that on the home page for the clearnet? I don't get the idea to use Cloudflare for such website. If you wanted to add a layer to hide your servers or something else, then you're not anonymous behind CF. And after reading your replies, I'm sorry but I don't buy your stories about conferences, universities, and other makeup.

anarchy is always presented to us in the media or in movies/tv as chaos. But it does not mean chaos; "self-rule" or "emergent order" are less politicized descriptions.
To me Anarchy is a State-less form of government, ie. direct. In the past it was considered impossible on a large scale (beyond a small community or town) but with current technologies it could be doable... While unrelated to Anarchy, there is an order within chaos, see Chaos theory. Which is why i don't like the misuse of both words ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I'm curious to know why/how do you think today's technologies give the possibility to citizens to be part of an anarchist movement on 'a large scale'? Anarchism, Libertarian, whatever people call it, history showed we don't need technologies for this. Since this is a rather broad term, we could also consider the Amish as anarchists (they're great people btw). Don't need to have the same anarchist movement worldwide, different needs for different populations/histories/cultures...

Thanks, it's more than I thought, I've never heard of these sites
@LTU_btc Yeah, I had seen that blockchain.info started in 2011, but when I searched with Archive.org I found that it was actually just a blockchain explorer, something very basic and with a very very very ugly interface. It was only after that they developed their web wallet. (on 2012) I visited the domain mybitcoin.com and now it's a news site, surely used for SEO purposes. So from the early days, only Coinbase.com & blockchain.com are still alive
