3921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 13, 2020, 11:16:53 AM
to be honest, it's been to hold back greed and emotions when trading,
surely they will come out when trading, especially if the market is volatile,
the increase will be even more unsatisfied.
Yes, and only an inexperienced person will trade using greed and emotion, because wise and experienced traders will not bring their emotions into trading, they are more likely to monitor the market on a daily basis in order to benefit from the smallest numbers to the greatest number.
It's a big hindrance to proper decision making, our mind should lead not our emotion.

I've been to that situation many times, I got greedy, was thinking of my future that I'll retire if the amount hit high per my prediction, but it only made me loss more because I missed the opportunity to sell, I could have still make a decent profit, but I didn't pull the trigger.

I just keep it as a learning experience, next time I won't do stupid things, like being greedy.
3922  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: December 13, 2020, 05:49:36 AM
Personally, I am in favor of thousands of cryptocurrencies on the market. Low popularity tokens can be useful for long-term investors. As practice shows, many tokens from the end of the Coinmarketcap list have increased in price tens, or even hundreds of times over any period of time.
Maybe they will but they have a lesser chance because this market is all about how investors will appreciate the project and those low marketcap project will just likely go dark with the money of the investors. Maybe there are some which are undervalued now, but most of them are just scams, they are just waiting for their time to fully exit in the market.

Coins and tokens from the top 10 list of CMC cryptocurrencies are not capable of this, so in my opinion, there is no need to change or remove anything from the market.
If you believe on massive adoption, you would not think of that. Bitcoin has been always in the top 10 of the CMC even before it was only $1,000 but look how much it has achieved, it almost hit $20,000 so that's almost 20x.
3923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 13, 2020, 05:18:02 AM
It's normal, people panic sold after XRP Airdrop snapshot was taken. Everybody prepared to short this shit. This drop was expected by the entire community but I'm happy its holding strong in the 50 range, hope it will maintain then going up.
Other coins are going up but XRP is not, it has 7.50% negative today, well, you are right, people panic but this should not last or will bounce back because XRP is really a good investment. However, it has to depend on the movement of bitcoin, a bullish bitcoin movement will probably help XRP here.
3924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 12, 2020, 01:46:07 PM
Here we go folks!  NBA Basketball is back!

Predictions:
The Brooklyn Nets vastly underperform expectations.
The Golden State Warriors finish at best a 6th seed.
The LA Clippers get destroyed by the LA Lakers in the playoffs.
The Phoenix Suns make the playoffs.
The Sacramento Kings make an insanely dumb trade/signing.
DeAndre Ayton has a breakout season.
LeBron James leads the league in assists for a second straight year.
Kevin Durant suffers another season ending injury.
Kyrie Irving receives over $1,000,000 in fines.
Zion Williamson makes it clear he is better than Ja Morant.
Giannis Antetokounmpo sees his numbers decline for the first time in his career.
LaMelo Ball is a bust.

-If the Nets stays healthy for the rest of the season and still underperform as everyone's expectation, then I might blame Kyrie Irving in advance lol.
- KD looks more fragile now, So yeah, he might suffer another injury. Just like Thompson. These two looks very fragile now. Including Kyrie.
We haven't seen them play, the management would not allow to play if they can't give their best.
We've seen the Rockets played, Wall and Cousins, and I don't see them as fragile with the way they play, so we could see the same with Durant and Irving.

-Giannis on the other hand looks desperate for championship, base on how he react about LeBron or AD joining him in Milwaukee. I'm not gonna be surprised If he'll make a KD-like move to win a chip.
Not sure if he is still aiming for a championship, he should just aim to be in the NBA Finals, and that means winning in the East which is more harder now that Nets are already here.

-The Suns looks promising this season with the CP acquisition.

Hopefully their tandem with booker would work.
3925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum remains the king of altcoins on: December 12, 2020, 12:42:12 PM
Ethereum is the second largest blockchain platform by market capitalization after bitcoin and is the best and more promising choice among other Altcoins, and besides that many traders believe Ethereum is a good investment compared to other cryptos.
So I think Ethereum will remain the king of Altcoins and will continue to be popular and the best among other altcoins, and only able to compete but not completely replace its position.
replacing etherium is very difficult, and etherium has been widely used by several successful projects, and I am sure their smart contract feature will always be used by new projects who want to make their own coins, the most important thing for now is that etherium must think of ways to make their transaction fees cheaper than other platforms
It's not that difficult as we have seen ETH dump in 2018 and XRP took its position, but ETH is a strong coin with big supporters so it was able to get back to the top as the best altcoins per list, and it's pretty evident in the list (https://coinmarketcap.com/) that it's marketcap was already far ahead than XRP.
3926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA preseason betting experiment on totals. on: December 11, 2020, 11:28:35 PM
Good luck mate, looking forward for a success of your experiment, game will start in less than an hour, so the excitement will start soon.
I have already place my bet also, more on the total but not all on over of course.  Grin
3927  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 | Instant Withdrawals on: December 11, 2020, 11:15:13 PM
is that for a competition or for different competitions together?
They both are two different competition as you can see the different thread for each of them. We used to have 3 competition each week by BetBTC but due to lack of interest, UFC has been canceled.
I'm seeing that the number of participants has improve a bit, some of the participants are even posting their prediction early as it looks like they already have that number that they don't want to be taken by others. The more participants makes the competition better as we will be rewarded with a bigger prize.

3929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 10, 2020, 10:54:01 PM
His size was just unmatchable.  I remember "back in the day", a shoe store had a shaq replica sneaker, I think it was a US size 21 or something rediculous.  It looked like a clown shoe.
I guess Shaq's sneakers will look like clown shoes on any one person who will wear them.
I also remember some funny videos with Nate and Shaq while both were in Boston Celtics. Nate had some problems when he tried to put on Shaq's shoes. Grin

Love watching nate play.  If you are ever looking for a good (funny) video, google nate Robinson blocks yao ming.  Dude was fearless when he played, respect that dude given his size.

Yeah, I saw that video, he can do that to anyone as he was an all star dunk contest champion.
Honestly, I don't see this guy playing basketball anymore, last time I saw him was when he was knock out cold by Jake Paul, I hope he will stop boxing.
3930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: December 07, 2020, 10:35:56 PM
I’m happy to read this post as I have learned a lot from it. This post is informative and well documented especially Number 1. Now i have an idea of how gambling started and it’s source.
Knowing that gambling is as old as man and it’s origins is far back the BC, according to these post at some point even the priest was on support of gambling activities. I will look out for more ancient history of gambling.
Good to hear that mate and so no reason that you blame others because you lose in gambling but just yourself.

You're right, gambling started a very long-time ago and it was just transformed into a modern and interesting look. Gamblers still get back even they lose a lot because they don't stop thinking about winning the jackpot prize. But it was very unfortunate that these people never have the luck to win and even they get back in gambling a million times, they will still not win.

That, if we are here in gambling for the chase about winning, it is better not to do it instead, just to enjoy the day.
3931  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: December 07, 2020, 10:18:05 PM
cryptocurrencies, gold and stocks are now in great positions to buy,
of course this is a good time to invest, we know that the pandemic is driving all assets down.
and of course this is the best opportunity for us to invest, I am sure that after the pandemic is over we will all be happy
The pandemic is driving all assets down but Bitcoin is not included since Bitcoin maintain a good price position when the pandemic problem was still high and the time is still right to invest in crypto before it too late.
I have to disagree with this because this is not a perfect time to invest. We don't get a ride on the market coz it is already at the ATH and we don't need to give hope that it will continue to move high but give them some hints, a scheme-like 2017 scenario in which the market price dumps slowly after reaching its ATH. We can't ignore this possibility but instead, we have to prepare for this than keeping always in bullish minds. Kinda we need to think also about the past events than focusing on the current market flow.
3932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of Bitcoin may increase normally but not as much as 400K on: December 07, 2020, 09:57:56 PM
It gonna be possible that the market will remain in a normal trend, with a little chance that it goes high over $20k even we saw a huge market demand and scarcity. Coz I think that this price is much preferred for all level of people. I can't imagine if people are still wanted to buy Bitcoin if the price goes to $50k, $100k, people may not be risking this then get back to use fiat money instead. Ohh, I'm not doing this as well.
3933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be considered the “gold” of crypto investment? on: December 07, 2020, 09:43:21 PM
Well, that is up to you, IMO. Because for me, I see Bitcoin more than that.

Bitcoin has a gaining market potential more than Bitcoin. Though we saw a high risk in this, people are still accumulating this for they know that this gonna have a huge return from risking to it.

And we can't deny that the main reason why we are here and why we are investing in Bitcoin is because of its potential, we can make huge money from this more than gold can do.
3934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 07, 2020, 02:10:27 PM
They are already in gambling before and this is not new to everyone since online gambling and casinos have been spread globally. It's a money maker and can't neglect that opportunity.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/japan-legalizes-casino-gambling-1532089986

What they are doing now is just to show globally that they are still not left from gambling. They want also their people to enjoy their life going to casinos or gambling online. And maybe, we got surprised that they are also imposing huge taxes on the owners if they saw things similar to the other countries that are increasing taxes.
3935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: December 07, 2020, 01:49:37 PM
Greed could somewhat be normal especially when you are aiming high but the problem is that most of us aren't able to manage that greediness to its minimum and not even contented with a small thing. People get crazy especially when it talks about money, they wanted it all to be in their hands. It finds no wrong but somehow, some did things so badly and even sometimes sacrifice their dignity and reputation just to achieve their wants.
3936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done/are you doing with your ICO coins? on: December 07, 2020, 01:07:49 PM
I'll go straight to this, I'm going to sell it immediately once it gets a favorable value in the market because that is only a way to save my money. We can't expect that some of these coins will give us a return, not for sure, some were dead already and that consider a loss end to our part.
If we think that holding will work, that it looks impossible. We are already in the bullish season but somehow, ICO coins aren't giving such inclines instead of seeing them still at a low price.
3937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems like the bullrun is over this year! on: December 07, 2020, 12:28:31 PM
Never say that it was over. In fact, we still remain high at $19,000 plus, the momentum still there and even we saw a few dumps in the past days moving back below $18,000 but it climbs back again. $20,000 has near to reach, probably it takes a few days or even weeks to finally get it. We still have a few days before we end this year, the thrill isn't over yet, and thus can't till when Bullrun is over.
3938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's future on: December 06, 2020, 10:17:25 PM
currently, the bitcoin market will continue in experience price corrections until the turn of the year, even so now is still a good time to buy bitcoin and other alt coins. Bitcoin price movements are still uncertain in the last two weeks and it looks like $20,000, is a zone that is quite difficult for bitcoin to penetrate at this time and $18,400, is the main support (lower limit) of bitcoin price, if in the future bitcoin is able to break the $20,000 price resistance limits, of course bitcoin will continue experienced bull run to be able to reach the highest price record for bitcoin so far.
It is absolutely we can't stop that correction, we have to live that kind of feature. The market trend can be easy to change, the ups and lows will consistently we have seen from time to time. That is why if we consider Bitcoin as an investment, we don't need to panic every time we saw the market dumps (which is a usual thing to happen), we need to control our emotions because that is the only way to avoid unnecessary and bad decisions.
3939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: December 06, 2020, 01:40:41 PM
wow, congratulations.
I appreciate that your government is pushing people to learn crypto, they do not regret doing this since it was a good opportunity to learn and makes students get aware of this. This serves as a ticket to advance technology and we can't deny that Bitcoin is almost on the mainstream which is important that the community should know.

I believe that not only in your country/place are doing this.
However, that something won't make a push through in schools since we can still learn Bitcoin online.

3940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: December 06, 2020, 12:58:06 PM
These are not Scam-drops. They are not scamming you unless they are asking a few sats.
Yes, they are asking you for some tasks in order to receive their airdrop, they are not forcing you either but it is you or me who are willing to complete the task and participate in their airdrops.

I know that some members here still believing airdrops, well, that be their choice. Besides, we are not sure if they are doing good or they are wasting their time. So if we are not confident participating in airdrops, then just ignore them.
