3921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suspect Fraud from FBI community help on: November 14, 2018, 05:05:41 AM
The english is poor. It is not from the FBI. Ignore it.
And in addition, the domain name in the email looks suspicious, same with the server with the gappssmtp domain. So simply ignore it and report as spam or delete it otherwise.

3923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So today I used my new cold wallet CoolWallet S on: November 12, 2018, 04:00:00 PM
Really like the wallet, and it looks great, really. But the thing is like what others said above, a cold wallet is a cold wallet where you reserve your crypto offline, it's a bit hassle carrying this thing(cold wallet) if you can just use your smartphones when sending and paying crypto to any local stores.

Sure, this "CoolWallet" looks cool, but it doesn't actually achieve anything.
I seconded.
3924  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Does hitbtc tell people when it's about to delist or remove market? on: November 12, 2018, 02:38:57 PM
Is it possible to withdraw the coins that have been removed? I don't think it's possible.
Yep, that's the main question here, when some exchange delisted a coin to be traded in their platform then there's a high chance that the withdraw button of the particular coin will disappear as well which I hope will not coz it will be a huge loss to all users who have the same coin as OP.
3925  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: GET 1 ETH - Simply Retweet, That's It! on: November 12, 2018, 01:43:12 PM
Lol, no one even opens a twitter campaign that pays <1 ETH for 3 retweets and 2 tweets. And here you are offering 1 ETH for a single retweet?

Anyway, you should hire an escrow for this offer.
3926  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Does hitbtc tell people when it's about to delist or remove market? on: November 12, 2018, 05:59:29 AM
Yep, most exchange always makes an announcement when they want to delist some coin/token on their platform and it takes days to give time to their users to move their coins in any wallet or exchange. I didn't see any announcement made in their blog or even social media accounts so, it's their way of making business.

And its unprofessional way to remove any coins in their platform without any further notice, well they don't have any in the first place.

3927  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM EXCHANGER...DONT DO ANY INVESTMENT IN THERE on: November 11, 2018, 05:07:13 PM
i get this from a telegramme group..if i have virus>>how i remove it?

What telegram group? a bounty? ICO? or pump-dump group?

Well, As far as I'm concerned strong anti-virus will do since this virus existed way back maybe even before bitcoin exist.
3928  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM EXCHANGER...DONT DO ANY INVESTMENT IN THERE on: November 11, 2018, 04:35:12 PM
Probably it's my first time to hear about this exchange, where do you saw it in the very first place?

If you double checked your bitcoin address before withdrawing, are you sure that your device is not infected with malware? Because there are some cases before known as copy-paste virus.

Where once you paste a bitcoin address in some input textbox it changes to the hacker's bitcoin address. But in your case seems that you're the first victim of the hack--only if its a copy-paste virus.

On the other side, if the site really is the scammer/hacker which is probably accurate and a suspicious one, then there's no way to get your lost funds.
3929  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Markets Fluctuate Wildly. Why Invest Then? on: November 11, 2018, 12:39:25 PM
That's the main reason why day traders/traders exist. Taking advantage the current market and buy more while they can on its red season. But of course risk is always there so be knowledgeable and think wise.
3930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will transaction fees be after btc is fully mine on: November 11, 2018, 06:59:40 AM
Well, that's so true that once BTC reached its max supply, miners will only rely on their gain from transaction fees. Transaction fee at that time might be 15-20 BTC from this chart in the past 4 month or might be less than 15 BTC once every client implements and used Segwit.

And once all 21M BTC have been mined which is around the year 2140, the supply cannot increase, regardless of growing demand. So as far as the law of supply and demand goes, people assumed that btc price will be much higher than we expected. So even miners will only rely on transaction fees it will be enough to them if the price will reach 5 digits or much better if it breaks until 6 figures, if and only if the demand grows at that time, else, btc and its technology will die.

3932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Historical Street Gambling Game on: November 10, 2018, 03:10:17 PM
Did you notice one thing common in every game related suggestion posted above? None of the games played in real life can be cheated are publicly verifiable without the digital systems. Life was better back then I guess.
Well, probably yes, all depends on luck and of course, some of them require skills too.

But there are some like from old people in my birth place in province with their so called lucky charms where they get from odd animals in the wild with their latin prayers or whatever. Don't know if its really true but some what it works they use it mostly in cock fightings.

3933  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: newcomer needs infohelp on: November 10, 2018, 06:21:38 AM
Blockchain.com is the most trusted, known, popular web-wallet for btc
That's an old-school phrase, I don't believe blockchain.com is the most trusted wallet, first, it's not even a wallet or you can call them an account instead, a wallet doesn't require any email.

Here's you can do it;
  • First, create an account to one of this exchange below, they offer fiat to crypto so, you can buy crypto using your credit cards or your bank account if I'm not mistaken. Some of them require you to proceed a KYC procedure first before you can buy crypto from fiat. I warn you, some fiat to crypto transactions cost huge fees.
  • Once you bought crypto from the exchanges above, you have to move your coins out there, so you have to create a wallet and move them there, I suggest using coinomi instead of blockchain.com and bitcoin.com wallets, they have a built-in exchange so you can exchange BTC to any crypto or even fiat to crypto as well.
  • If you want to hold your BTC in long term you can use electrum desktop wallet or if you hold many crypto then you can invest in buying hardware wallets like ledger nano s which is more or less 100$ in price now If I'm correct

But of course, to keep your crypto asset safe you have to keep them and make a backup of your seed(recovery phrase) and keep them offline which is mentioned above already. Make sure that you're the only one knows where you save your backup or else you will end losing them.

3934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Historical Street Gambling Game on: November 09, 2018, 10:29:26 PM
Isn't it called "Kara Krus" or "cara y cruz"?

Haven't played that game, but I used to watch it being played when I was a boy in our place as well. Again it looks like another Spanish influence on Filipinos. As far as I can remember, it can be played anywhere, but there's always some heated debate as accusations of cheating (specially for losing bettors), but I don't know how can someone cheat unless he totally rigs the coins.
Don't know really what it called as a whole in Philippines but my local called it that way.

I guess there's no way people can cheat in that way of gambling since everyone is watching around. And everyone has a chance to check the coin from its texture, how it looks and etc. And the tosser only needs to, of course, toss the coin until there's a result of 3 tails or 3 heads.

Though it takes time but people used to play it as long there's a smooth hard surface where the coin can land after a toss without any obstacle. So it can be played in street road as well.
3935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Historical Street Gambling Game on: November 09, 2018, 05:30:02 PM
I'm not really sure though, I thought that cock fighting in the Philippines was a Spanish influence. So its really hard to see Philppines into cock fighting prior to Magellan's arrival, but I might be wrong.
That was mentioned in some middle schools' textbook that this cockfighting in the Philippines was totally a Spanish influenced.

And another historical gambling here is spider derby where often I see people would bring boxes of matchsticks or common boxes that would encase their spiders and this kind of gambling they will place the spiders each on the edge of the sticks then forced them to fight one another. Well, this is the common gambling game I experience in my country.
I'm one of these kids way back using spiders to do a bet and even enjoined finding this fighter spiders before sunrise.

I don't know if this gambling type of coin is way back years ago but people here still use it the one they called hantak, having 3 coins, and people do a bet if they get 3 tails or 3 heads. And the one who tosses the 3 coins has always the heads, so if he tossed and get 3 heads then he wins, 3 tails he loss.
3936  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: A catch in the blockchain.com XLM airdrop - KYC ! Thoughts ? on: November 09, 2018, 05:11:24 PM
Any kind of service in the crypto world, that needs or asks for personal user's data is in direct contradiction with the appeal for freedom held by system creators and enthousiasts. I would never recommend to anybody to use or join any platform thet ask for personal documents. Use free wallets, decentralized exchanges, and think about anonymous investment.
But most service that relates crypto to fiat transaction requires it, so you have to deal with it or go for p2p of course with trusted people. But for things like airdrop that requires KYC procedure is just crap, selling your personal info for $25 is bullshit.

But who knows, maybe in future they will require KYC in order to use web wallet...
Then its the fall of their wallet service or any web wallet that requires it, I'm pertaining to wallets having crypto to crypto transactions only, not crypto to fiat or vice versa since it really needs it.

3938  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Wallets stuck on sync on: November 09, 2018, 05:59:08 AM
AFAIK using electrum as lightweight wallet will sync its client fast but not on bitcoin core client since it will download the whole blockchain which I guess is more than 100 GB right now, and if you have a slow internet connection then it might take more than 12 days to fully sync.

And as long your transaction of £50 is confirmed through the network already then there's no need to worry all you need is to wait for core until it fully sync. You can use blockexplorer.com to check (confirm or not) its status by yourself. Or you can post here your receiving address so we can check it, only if you mind to post here your wallet.

I subscribed my other email to this giveaway but never know that it will require any KYC procedure (I never read the whole statements below btw). If so, then who cares for their 25 bucks anyway.

To those who have many documents gathered from ICO participants especially those who have malicious intention then it will be abused.
