Your name sounds Indian and I have seen you post in their local area, so I assume you are from India. I have some friends living there and I have never heard any of them saying of making any purchases like you did till date.

Yes you are right. I am from India. For me it doesn't really matter much how much fees or conversion rates I pay. At the end, it's going to someone who could use it for something.
Besides if we don't use bitcoin directly then it's purpose is defeated anyway. I know this is just my first direct bitcoin purchase but I am still trying to bring a change.
I wish there comes many stores like Citadel who completely accepts bitcoin for products.

They used to buy gift cards from me for their btc

So can we trade gift card/btc if required in future ?
You can PM me with the answer and your charges. Don't wanna derail this thread  Tongue
3923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Received my first product purchased through bitcoin today on: December 21, 2020, 02:34:59 PM

So I just received my first product today which I purchased entirely through bitcoin. This made me so much happy today as I bought something (an actual product) and made the payment in bitcoin.
Citadel21 is a bitcoin magazine and I have got the volume 3. I made a purchase on Oct 27 and received the magazine today on 21 Dec which is almost 2 months but yeah it got delivered.
Citadel21 didn't even ask for any details other than shipping address (not even a registration on it's website) and accepted bitcoin payment.

I paid 0.0016 BTC ($21 on that day) which is now worth $36 but who cares. It's the USD that's fluctuating.
0.0016 BTC on that day is still 0.0016 BTC today and that is how I value my purchase.

To be honest, this is my first product which I got delivered from an international address. They delivered it from Finland.
This my first magazine I ever bought.
This book has the right message on it's cover i.e. HODL which is so accurate as of today while bitcoin is creating an ATH almost everyday.

I have used bitcoin to make purchases before but it was in an indirect way. I used to exchange bitcoin for fiat and then buy products with it.
The first time I bought something with bitcoin was back in 2017. I had bought a powerbank through my bitcoin earning. Had to exchange them for fiat though.
It made me so much happy to be able to buy something on my own that day. Bitcoin gave me the ability to buy many things on my own later.

I got the same feeling of happiness today. A sense of freedom from fiat is what I actually felt and it was truly an amazing feeling.

For people who might be interested to buy this

3924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: @elonmusk "Bitcoin is almost as bs as fiat money" on: December 21, 2020, 02:02:47 PM

Now a coin everyone mints at the same rate, would be legit.

If everyone mints the coin at some point won't it be unfair for their future generations since it will be premined for them ?
Nobody can avoid this and it is how it is. Call it unfair or whatever you want but the limited supply of bitcoin is what making it's value increase each year.
As years pass on, bitcoin will become more decentralized and distributed than it is today. Fiat on the other hand will still be centralized with unlimited supply and super inflationary value.
Good luck with that.
3925  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 20, 2020, 02:29:29 PM
I can relate to this as I was a faucet user way back 2016 and all I have to do was to solve different captcha every minutes and hours and damn those captcha keeps getting harder and harder. I even need to refresh the captcha to solve it as it was impossible to solve 🤣🤣

The captcha at time were easy and also paid a lot more than today. They have not only become harder with passage of time but also the satoshi reward has decreased considerably. If bitcoin reaches 100,000$ by the end of 2021, the reward for captcha will further decrease.

I can feel the pain but then freebitco.in also has the option to play without captcha by using 1 reward point.
Why don't you use that option if solving captcha is becoming such a big burden ?
All it will cost is 1 reward point and even that will be reimbursed as we do a ROLL.
3926  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ BTCGOSU ⭐ Your Trusted Guide to the Best Bitcoin Casinos ⭐ on: December 20, 2020, 02:24:20 PM

When a new gamble comes out, I have to wait for it to collaborate with GOSU.  Wink

That's exactly what I was thinking yesterday. I have decided to signup for only those gambling sites which have collaborated with GOSU.
And why not ? GOSU has been doing a really wonderful job with all those reviews, promotions, giveaways and not to forget the all new GOSU HUNT competitions <3
If it were for me, I would make GOSU as a medium for listing reputed gambling sites permanently  Grin
I had already bookmarked GOSU along time ago and going forward GOSU is my only site for looking up a gambling site  Wink

Great job @efialtis
3927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: December 20, 2020, 02:09:55 PM
I don't think there would be any insurance company that would be covering heavy losses due to gambling.
If it were so then more than half of the world would be gambling right now and those insurance companies would be going bankrupt since everyone would be claiming their losses.
Most of the people keep losing in gambling which is why insurance for gambling doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
3928  Economy / Reputation / Re: Pawanjin, Cheater on Hhampuz campaign (Duelbits). Need any DT member attention on: December 20, 2020, 03:46:54 AM
Because both Hilariousandco & actmyname were left negative trust on hua_hui account, who got caught enrolled his alt in his own campaign (i've told this above). Which is same with pawanjain, who enrolled his alt as well in campaign he managed.
To make it clear the forum has no rule that we can't enroll our alt in the campaign we manage. The case you are talking about has the rule in the campaign that alt accounts are not allowed.
If the basis for rule-following is just obeying the forum rules, then the default state of the forum would be nothing more than a bunch of polite scammers that refuse to copy each other's scam techniques.

I would probably say that the act of using your own clandestine alt isn't the most trustworthy way to do things, especially if you could simply manage the campaign and advertise it in your signature at the same time. The incentive of being paid according to one's post quality in a limited campaign makes it easy for a manager to judge their posts in a biased manner - where one might be less inclined to spam in other campaigns, someone who both runs and participates in a campaign could effectively reward themselves for spam to maximize their time. This is especially important if they had multiple accounts and had to create a constant slew of posts.

I completely agree with you. I should not have done that but that was something that's done years ago. I was dumb to do something like that but things have changed and never have I ever done anything that goes against the forum rules recently. I have already accepted my fault previously and won't deny it now too. Cheater detector is playing the rules card which is why I made the post above.
While I know enrolling alt in a campaign are not good ethics I apologize for the same. I can't change something done in the past and I have already acknowledged that and changed myself completely to serve the forum by making good contributions.

P.S: That sig campaign was never started, if that makes a difference.

Rules:

- No multiple accounts/farming accounts.

Whereas the Signature campaign I enrolled in did not have any such rule.

Quote
Rules:

⦁   Participant must be at least Jr Member or above to participate in this campaign.
⦁   A minimum of 21 constructive posts per week is required.
⦁   Posting in our ANN thread is not mandatory but would encourage quality discussions.
⦁   Posts must be at least 300 characters in length.
⦁   No spamming/abusing/multiple signatures/off topic posts.
⦁   Signature, avatar and personal text should not be changed throughout the campaign.
⦁   Posts in Off-topic, Beginners & Help, Politics & Society, Local and Gambling section won?t be counted.

I can't help but wonder why the OP would gather up multiple posts by user morvillz7z post them in one new thread and stress out that nothing is being done to those who've been identified as alts?
Because this cheater still can joined in any campaign he wants.

Quote
Why not contact the Campaign Managers directly and send them links?  Have you tried this?  What was their response?
I did. No response from Hhampuz

That pretty much sums it up that OP is desperately trying to get me tagged for something that was done years ago.
Tell him to post any recent suspicious activity and I bet he won't find any. All he wants is to get me tagged which is why he is keeping on bumping this thread every now and then.

Cheater detector, stop wasting everyone's time and bringing up old posts which was already reported.
3930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ATH of USD value or BTC value - where will you sell? on: December 19, 2020, 03:33:00 PM
I guess this topic should be in trading discussion because you are looking at the value and profit/loss for your trade.

It's quite simple, if you want to take out the profits in fiat and withdraw it in bank then you should sell in ATH pairing with USD.
You would easily get your profits if you pair it with fiat amount invested previously.
But if you want to reinvest and plan to keep reinvesting in future trades then you should wait for it's bitcoin value to increase.
It won't matter if the USD price will increase or decrease since you would be pairing it with BTC.
Later in future when bitcoin's price increases would be the right time to take out the profits in fiat.

But to be honest, I guess you have already missed your chance to take the profits out in BTC because when bitcoin dumped in early 2020 many altcoins were doing good.
So according to me, if you don't plan to reinvest this amount in trading then you should consider selling the altcoins for USD price.
May be later when the market undergoes a correction would be a better time to get back the bitcoins.
3931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $20,000 is it still a good price? on: December 19, 2020, 03:25:24 PM
Is $20,000 still a good price or not depends on multiple factors. The first and foremost being how long are you planning to hold it.
If you are someone like me who's planning to hold bitcoin for a very long term (10 - 20 years) then surely yes $20,000 it still a good price to buy Bitcoin.
If you are just a short term trader who wants to buy bitcoin and wants to sell it in short term then you should consider waiting for a correction of bitcoin's price.
We all know how bitcoin has jumped in price lately and this only means that a correction is inevitable. This is what history has shown us.

3933  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 18, 2020, 02:48:09 PM
The 500k is for the Golden/Lambo ticket

"You get a FREE Golden Ticket with your winnings every time you wager or bet a total of 500,000 satoshi (0.00500000 BTC)"

Oh well, I didn't knew that. For some reason I never opened the 'Golden Ticket' webpage. Thanks for the info.  Smiley

There's no such stats to find out how many I've wagered since the new Lambo contest started, but I'm almost sure that it I could wager around 200k sats max, but definitely not 500k. So, I'm still not sure, was it some kind of a gift from freebitco.in, or did I really wager 0.005 BTC without noticing it. Smiley

So while exploring the site I just found this way to see the amount of coins you wagered.
We can click on the green colour 'Leaderboard' button which shows us the amount of coins we have wagered and also our rank.
It's probably there on every page.

3934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Year 2021 XRP Price 1 Dollar on: December 18, 2020, 02:40:40 PM
The price of XRP when paired with bitcoin was 0.00002681 BTC and right now it is 0.00002512 BTC as of writing this post.
So it has only decreased in my opinion. Obviously the price would increase when paired with USD because the price of Bitcoin has increased a lot lately.
To answer your question if XRP would go to 1 Dollar, may be Yes but XRP has not made any significant developments lately which is why I think it won't sustain the gain in price.

You should rather move this post to Alt Coins (India) or more preferably in the global board Altcoin Discussion

Anyways, good luck to all of you, @NABiT, @Indymoney, @SiNeReiNZzz, myself and @Text, who discovered more tickets in their possession than was expected! Let one of us win that Lambo! Smiley

Why 500k Satoshis ?? Isn't the wager requirement 500 Sats for 1 lottery ticket ?

I have been wagering some Sats lately and I was getting the lottery tickets for wagering. I can assure I would not have wagered 0.005 BTC yet I have 649 tickets right now.

9 sats Cheesy
I think it's the smallest one in the history of free-rolling! Congrats to everyone for ATH and those who bought lottery tickets before the pump  Wink

I thought about the same thing today. I remember claiming 10 sats during the previous ATH, but 9 sats, it's for the first time I see it.

Regarding lottery, I don't get your point.  Smiley If the tickets were sold for USD, then indeed one could buy more tickets before the pump with the same amount of BTC, but the price per ticket is 0.00025000 BTC.

Hold your coins because I am about to blow your minds. If you think 9 sats is the lowest you have seen in free rolling then hold on
I have got 6 sats as the lowest on the free roll. Though I have got 6 sats just once the other times it's just 7 - 9 sats.

I just rolled now and got 7 sats.

3937  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Rest API Service on: December 18, 2020, 06:46:37 AM
1.After login, api document link has been added to the header bar.

2.The contents of the API document have been supplemented.

Great Job there @blocksdk. I didn't expect you would make the changes that quick. Thumbs up to you.
I was finally able to use your API to receive data through my Python code.

Thanks for the updated Python snippet.

Code:
from BlockSDK.blocksdk import BlockSDK

This is what I was missing in my code. I used just 'import BlockSDK' instead of 'from BlockSDK.blocksdk import BlockSDK'.

My code is working now and I get the required output as below.

Code:
{'height': 661850, 'time': 1608273047, 'bestblockhash': '0000000000000000000e019c1f0f6532fbcd1e0c6f5226caba946ec734383692', 'prev_hash': '0000000000000000000908b539b25f7c713a990c71e23eef6560363bed7f9c06', 'unconfirmed_count': 121799, 'low_fee_per_kb': 0.0003, 'medium_fee_per_kb': 0.00049, 'high_fee_per_kb': 0.00099, 'HTTP_HEADER': {'Date': 'Fri, 18 Dec 2020 06:37:12 GMT', 'Content-Type': 'application/json', 'Transfer-Encoding': 'chunked', 'Connection': 'keep-alive', 'Set-Cookie': '__cfduid=d1be9bc6df8a5a7ee9f2dadc119a44f121608273431; expires=Sun, 17-Jan-21 06:37:11 GMT; path=/; domain=.blocksdk.com; HttpOnly; SameSite=Lax; Secure', 'Cache-Control': 'no-cache, private', 'X-RateLimit-Limit': '180', 'X-RateLimit-Remaining': '179', 'CF-Cache-Status': 'DYNAMIC', 'cf-request-id': '07162a23c000001a6a69821000000001', 'Expect-CT': 'max-age=604800, report-uri="https://report-uri.cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/beacon/expect-ct"', 'Report-To': '{"endpoints":[{"url":"https:\\/\\/a.nel.cloudflare.com\\/report?s=OHQAYiLWuN8Va0cj876WwPVPW3tmQJEKy67nqoNqSTmq7w7Ywpq2WF%2BIwmJHN%2FeT7H5eFXbV6479i05790PAR3PhjLVxaD5PrUoH3bhMh3uyX6xF9ei7%2B2hj6o0M"}],"group":"cf-nel","max_age":604800}', 'NEL': '{"report_to":"cf-nel","max_age":604800}', 'Server': 'cloudflare', 'CF-RAY': '6036dfb2cf461a6a-SIN', 'Content-Encoding': 'gzip', 'statusCode': 200}}

Also, you should consider improvising your documentation.
For example : You said to call API using 2 methods but you didn't mention how to use them.
You should consider placing an example snippet/method on how to use the below 2 methods.

Quote
You can provide an API key to a REST API call in one of two ways
Preferred method: X-API-KEY via custom header
Convenient way: api_token via query string parameter
That actually explains a lot. I mean what else is there to explain? If you are someone starting as a new developer, you'd find it confusing because your basics about calling API's or passing headers and such are not that clear. The problem lies in your capability but not in the docs I suppose.

Isn't that's how it should be? Yes I am a beginner developer. The documentation should always be beginner friendly as it is now after the updates so that people like me could find it easy to start with.
Else the developers could create their own custom API and never use services like these at all.

P.S : I was able to create a custom header and fetch data through blocksdk API too.

~
The feature only notifies you when topics (you posted on) get nuked, not when your posts get specifically deleted by mods (you already get a PM for those, as you already know).
Ohh, am sorry for misinterpreting the context. Well, wouldn't it be better if we got notifications for posts getting deleted too ?
Though we get a PM, we could easily access the notification when we are not on the forum  Smiley
3939  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: December 17, 2020, 05:02:15 PM
- Notifications when your post gets deleted because the parent thread got trashed.

Is it just me or this feature actually doesn't work ? I just found out today that this bot even notifies on deleted posts.
For some reason, I have never seen the notifier bot notifying me for deleted posts.

I remember recently there was one thread where all the recent posts including mine was deleted.
In that case, I should have been notified for the deleted post right ?

Some proofs : (that it indeed didn't work for me)

3940  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Rest API Service on: December 17, 2020, 04:34:12 PM
So I did try your API and my experience was not so good. After signing up I was logged in blocksdk and I was keeping on searching for API documentation for a while but didn't get it anywhere.
Later when I was logged of, I noticed that there was an API documentation. I wonder why you didn't consider placing a link to API documentation after logging in since that is what users would do.

Also, you should consider improvising your documentation.
For example : You said to call API using 2 methods but you didn't mention how to use them.

Lastly, I tried accessing your API but was getting '403 Forbidden' error. Not sure what's wrong.
