3921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about p2e games and what awaits in the future on: September 01, 2022, 10:15:08 AM
Almost all good play to earn games that I am looking up to are not completed yet and their tokens are already down marginally, most are down to 93% in price, do you think that after the products are completed some play to earn games can be successful? What do you think about the future of projects like Monkey League and Thetan Arena on the long term.

I'm not sure what is good P2E now because there are a lot that suddenly pops up in the crypto sphere. And again, maybe they are down right now because of the bear market? not that much playing as compare to last 2019 or early 2020 wherein it made it's name and then many are making a lot of money out of it? And another advise, others might have to read this thread:  [Warning]: Fake Cthulhu World project DM on Twitter, will steal your crypto.
3922  Economy / Speculation / Re: why does BTC price appear to follow the performance of US equities markets? on: September 01, 2022, 09:30:30 AM
You got your answers already its global, meaning everyone is investing on it, including those who have invested on tech stocks, oil or even gold. So it's the constant flow of money, so when one market somewhat had a dump and sold off, the same investors will do the same with crypto and that's why there are still some sort of correlation. Although there could be time that crypto has decoupled, nevertheless through its young infancy, we cant' discount the fact that some correlations can't be denied and so it follow the performance of other traditional markets.
3923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 01, 2022, 09:03:35 AM
CJ Perez seems not on his usual playing level. Maybe because after all his effort he's not named as Best Player of the Conference. Just kidding. Cheesy I also thought that TNT will now start to struggle after Jayson Castro was sidelined because of an injury that I hoped it's a minor.
The defense of the TNT is just good that's why they manage to lower the scoring of Perez. Let's take note that Perez and Manuel are the ones who carried the team in Game 2 but in the next 3 games, they aren't that efficient anymore.

On the other hand, the 2 Williams just exploded in Game 5 and it's a bit disappointing that SMB had what they called "Sorry Misses" meaning they have easy and open shots on the paint but can't make them.

Now the momentum has shifted, and TNT now has the lead. Having Coach Chot back really helped the team and even though they don't have Castro in the 4th quarter, players like MGR, Montalbo and Kelly Williams stepped up offensively and defensively. Just a one win more for them but I don't think that the SMB will just let them lose 3 straight and will force a Game 7.

It's not over yet, we have game 6 and I'm pretty sure that SMB will even the series. SMB are not lucky in that game, they have shots that are not falling although it looks easy, that's why TNT took advantage on that, also, I agree that the defense of the TNT were extremely good, reason why they have lots of stops.

No Jayson Castro, no problem.

Hehehe, when we thought that SMB will take this game over, Kelly Williams turn back the clock and lead the TNT and take the lead in the series. He drops 21 big points and almost had a double double with 9 rebounds. The Beermen has no answered, he trailed most of the game, try to get back in the last 3 minutes but it was not enough. Castro though, not sure if he can play on the next game, but a have a feeling that SMB will come back and force a game 7.
3924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: September 01, 2022, 08:41:07 AM
If i were Lomachenko, from war-braced Ukraine, lost the a fight that would have unified the belts and might probably get a rematch with Lopez, to fix the loss, I would fight Jamaine Ortiz with all I got. Though the fight would require much stamina, seeing that Ortiz is much younger and with sharper reflex. Like I said earlier, the Ukrainian Loma will fight like a mad man. He has so much to look forward to, and stronger opponents ahead. His technic is unique to him and this victory is going to help him stay motivated if to unify the belts is his goal in the long run

There's no need to chase Lopez, the belt that he losses to Teo have bene taken already by Kambosos. But in a twist, he lost it on this first defense against Haney and now they will have a rematch and most likely Haney will win again. And so if there is someone that he need to fight after this one is the winner of the Haney vs Kambosos. And as we all, Lopez has move to 140 lbs and Loma doesn't want to go that high just to avenge his lost.
3925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2022, 08:22:51 AM
That's right, actually even if Westbrook were struggling last season but as long as AD were healthy, most likely Lakers will still have a shot in the NBA finals. With Lebron and AD leading the team, we've seen that before already when they won a championship.

That makes sense and I'm with it. Yes, we can't hide the fact that Westbrook is struggling but we can't really just point that as a reason why Los Angeles Lakers suffers last season. Anthony Davis is consistent but the problem is, he becomes soft. How many games did he just play last season? LeBron James is also being sidelined for several games and that's understandable. Their bench is not even deep and all their supporting cast are not consistent. Westbrook can't carry anymore a team as he did in OKC. Can't be compared too to the capability of LeBron carrying a team.

That's why I believed trading Westbrook won't be the key to saving the Lakers from being sh*t last season.

Today's rumor is that they're trying to find a trading partner in the Spurs to take Westbrook off their hands.  The Lakers seem prepared to eat his salary and cut him if they can't find a place to dump him and are even willing to package picks to make it happen.  I'm sure there's an owner around the league somewhere who is willing to pay $40 million for 2 draft picks or a trade they can get into.  We'll find out who soon I suspect.

I heard it will be the Jazz, Lakers and New York Knicks to have Westbrook and Mitchell ship out.

But as you have said, it will take like a team to really willing to pay $40 million for Westbrook. And so far we haven't heard anything except rumors like I mentioned and it should include a 3rd one.

So let's see, if there is any team that might really take interest on Westbrook then it might be the Utah Jazz.
3926  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: September 01, 2022, 07:52:16 AM

Lakers - Fournier, Bogdanovic, and Reddish

Knicks - Mitchell, Gay

Jazz - Toppin and Grimes + draft picks.

3927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: August 31, 2022, 11:35:31 PM
I saw this on my feed,

Report: Fury-Usyk Targeted For February, Super Bowl Weekend, In Middle East; 50-50 Purse Split ‘Is A Given’

Quote
According to Mark Kriegel of ESPN, the heavyweight title unification bout between WBC champion Tyson Fury of England and WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk of Ukraine may air on the same weekend––or the week after––of the NFL’s 57th Super Bowl, with the Middle East as the "most likely" location for the fight.

Kriegel, citing unnamed sources and conversations with Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank which promotes Fury, sounded a note of optimism about the chances for seeing the historic match-up, especially because, according to Kriegel, there does not appear to be any disagreement regarding the purse split for the fighters. An Usyk-Fury fight would have to be televised by ESPN, as the network has an exclusive broadcasting arrangement with Top Rank

https://www.boxingscene.com/report-fury-usyk-targeted-february-super-bowl-weekend-middle-east-50-50-purse-split-given--168679

And they have negotiated now? But let's see, it's on the week of the biggest sporting event in the US, although the venue of the fight will be in the Middle East.

So I'm not sure how it will sit up with their fans who want to watch the fight at least live. Nevertheless, their is PPV so it could be the best options for US fans.

Usyk is very lucky to have this fight in a 50/50 split purse, Fury is demanding a lot for this, it's good that Usyk is not tied to any promoters that will hinder for the fight to be possible, I'm surprised how easy it has become but this is still a negotiation unless the contract is signed nothing is done deal yet, changes can still happen, the good thing is both fighters have the desire to unify the title whoever wins here is the greatest fghter of this generation, although already Fury is now the greatest British heavyweight champion.

Yep, at least we should give credit for him to have this 50/50 without him thinking that he is the A-side on this fight. And maybe that split will obviously guarantee him already of a 8 figures money And there is a the PPV as well, and perhaps this is where Fury might get the lion share and the live gate sales. So still a win-win situation for him, and for Usyk too. This is the two biggest heavyweights right now and this fight should be made.  And now that that the pandemic is over, we are being treated with good fights this year alone.
3928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 31, 2022, 10:57:00 PM
Seeing Loma and Haney in one ring would really be exciting though it will also be a big challenge for the both of them. Haney might really be the bettor favorite but I think Lomo would really show off his aggressiveness to beat down Haney. Loma vs Ortiz would be another opportunity for Loma to strengthen up his stamina in preparation for him to face Haney in the future.
This is my thoughts exactly. My money is on Lomachenko. For me, he possess the qualities of a good boxer. Unlike Ortiz, he has a better Boxing IQ and ring generalship. During the match, I expect that he’ll be able to pick up the pace to an intense level. This will in turn expose cracks in Ortiz ring IQ that should bring about mistakes in the ring. I see this match as a prep fight for Loma. The real deal is going to be with Haney.

I wouldn't bet my money against Lomachenko either because that's very unwise to do Grin
I also have no doubts that Lomachenko got this and he has the upper hand in this fight even if Oritz is younger and has the height and reach advantage. I'd say that those advantages that the latter have won't mean that much compared to Lomachenko's IQ in the ring. Also, there's a good probability that this fight could end in TKO/KO rather than a decision.

There are a lot of boxers that fought Lomachenko in their prime, with the height and reach advantage bust still lost to him. It just shows that Loma is really above those boxers, his trainer alone was un-orthodox, we haven't seen that kind of trainings before, it's not just his skills, but like the reaction time, it's just like watching Steph Curry doing his drills but not with a basketball, but some other training to improved his skill set, like decision making that why he has  big boxing IQ. Right, this fight could end in a TKO/KO and won't go to the judges scorecard.

He is one of the best in the boxing world, very entertaining to watch, and what I like about him is he does accept challenges and he proved most of the time that he is the best. Though he lost to Lopez, but if there's a chance they will have a rematch, I think Loma could win and maybe trilogy will happen.

Teo Lopez already move up to 140 lbs already, and Loma said that he won't fight Lopez at 140 lbs, so most likely we will not see the rematch. Loma will be too small at the Super Lightweight/Jr. Welterweight.

Anyhow, Teo has a successful debut at this division and now Loma will have to fight a young boxer in Ortiz. And he is still in the chase for all the belts in 135 lbs, that is his goal and the only way to do that is to fight Haney (if he wins against Kambosos).
3929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokpie Exchange is a pure Scam. Be warned!!!! on: August 31, 2022, 10:38:43 PM
Though I haven't had to use that exchange, tokpie, with what I am seeing here, I think I will stay away from it.
My question, is there anyway they can be reported for these scams? It are they gonna go scout free?

Probably they also introduce fake identity to the public so the answer here, they will roam around freely and I’m sure will come back here again with a different project but same purpose.
This is the reason why I don’t trust small exchanges that much especially the new one. If you are just going to try their platform at a small capital then I thinks it’s fine, but expecting too much from them might put you on a bigger trouble. This site is a scam, their hype here in the forum is already over.

Introducing a fake identity is a norm of scam projects.  I have seen lots of scam projects that use the profile picture of people from social media with a different name.  I am somehow curious if this Exchange has licence to operate.  It would be alarming if they don't have it. It is understood if they are DEX  but if they are CEX then have a lot of thinking  before using their platform.

True, but the thing with Tokpie is that it is a revolution when they introduce it to the altcoin market in 2018-2019 if I'm not mistaken. So everyone is elated to see an exchange that you can used for bounties and get your reward right away in form of money, not crypto. Unfortunately, even if the idea is unique, maybe that where the people behind see as a advantage to run this scam up to this day. And now we hear another one fall victim for it.
3930  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Monthly Chart Closes Tomorrow. It’s UGLY on: August 31, 2022, 10:18:13 PM
Better be careful with what could happen if that's what you think. I think it's still best that you have plans in case whether
  • BTC would rise in price
  • BTC would decline in price

So if it's the first one, you need to have BTC stored in your wallet. It's better that it's your wallet.
For the second one, you need to have converted your BTC so you could profit as much as you could.

For me, I'm just going to keep BTC stored because I would want to HODL it more and more as time goes by because that's what I believe in.

Yeah, I think the best plan is to do nothing, just simply HODL, don't liquidate anything and accumulate.

I think if we close above $20k, there's nothing to worry though short term, this is the average monthly closes for the last 3 months so we are still in the boundary and limit of the bear market and I don't think that we are going to see another lower lows at the end of the year.
3931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 31, 2022, 10:02:21 PM
The odds is still the same, GGG is the underdog, almost 4:1 or 5:1. The over and under is still pegged at 10.5.

And it's the start of September already, so just 2 weeks from now we will witnessed this epic fight. And it's nice to hear what GGG outlook in this trilogy,

Quote
"I'm totally looking at the third fight as a brand new fight from scratch," Golovkin told Reuters through an interpreter. "I don't draw any motivation from previous fights."

https://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-expects-canelo-change-lot-things-trilogy-fight--168738

Good mindset, so he will expect a different Canelo, and so his preparation might be different as compare to the last 2 fights. In any case what doesn't surprised me is if GGG is rob again, hehehe.
3932  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 5 key differences on: August 31, 2022, 09:47:20 PM
This is because poor people don't have access to investments. If you look at what they learn from class it's just SAVING Money for the future. While the rich have access to the stock market and real properties inherited from thier parents. The rich also look up to what their parents were doing which was investing while the poor kids look up to their parents who toil hard.

This makes them think saving will make them rich but in the end, inflation hits them because the value decreases while the value of stocks could fly.
Also the rich and poor people do not have the same opportunities that knock on their door. While rich people can easily make money because they can just inherit the wealth of their parents and make them grow, poor  people still have to find good means the hard way just to generate money. So it’s not surprising that the rich people will tend to become richer, while poor people stay poor the whole time. It’s not only because of the mindset but the inequality of opportunities matters too.

Of course the opportunity will not the same, and so it just boils down to the mindset. There could be opportunity for poor people that they don't realized maybe because they thought that they will be poor for the rest of their lives. And that's why majority of them did, so again the mindset could be the biggest factor for any individual. And we wish that we know this when we are growing up, although I would say that my parents open my eyes on investing on stocks which I did when I got my first job, saving for the future and financial freedom.
3933  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 31, 2022, 12:12:19 PM

3934  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 31, 2022, 11:25:56 AM
Well even in traditional and land base casino's you can see a lot of similarities as well, maybe just some variations on the style and aesthetic of the casinos. But still the concept is the same, card table games, baccarat, roulette, slot machines, craps, fro the same provider.

And so this might be the case on some online casinos as well, and so they look alike, maybe the software being used is from the same provider, same with those slot games as well.
3935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about the school lessons of gambling addiction? on: August 31, 2022, 09:27:24 AM
Personally, I don't think that we need a dedicated lessons for gambling addiction, maybe it should be touch base and included maybe in others subjects like alcohol and drug addiction. But to have a separate session for it? not sure how it will be effective for students. Maybe they will just go and attend but without putting their hearts on the lesson itself.  For me, everything starts with the students family and the environment because that is the first influence as far as gambling or even other addictions are concern.
3936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: August 31, 2022, 09:03:20 AM
A mismatch? An easy win for Inoue? Not even a big challenge for Inoue? Can't blame some people's view about the match as the distance between Naoya Inoue and Paul Butler is really that wide and long gap. I can't even think of a way how Butler can survive the wrath of Inoue.

Agreed. The odds for this fight might be 1.05 for Naoya Inoue and 8.50 to 9.00 for Paul Butler. The ending will also certainly be another knockout for Inoue. Where the oddsmakers might place the over or the under might be on 7.5 rounds and they might favor the under, I reckon. However, Paul Butler was knocked out only once and it was 7 years ago. I speculate that Inoue will knock Butler on the 10th or 11th round.

Spot on mate, current odds are:

Inoue, Naoya - 1.02
Butler, Paul - 9.80

We don't have the under and over rounds, but yeah it could be +/- 7.5, I reckon.

I speculate that it might be earlier than 10th or 11th round, less than that. Butler might survived the earlier rounds, but for sure he will be soften up later and then Naoya will go for the knockout round 6th to round 9th.

@Boafeng. It appears that the speculation on Inoue vs. Fulton might become a reality hehehe. Inoue might become the next Pacman.

Former two-division world champion Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue plans on moving up to 122 to take on super bantamweight champions Stephen Fulton and Murodjon Akhmadaliev after he finishes collecting the final belt at 118 against WBO champion Paul Butler on December 13th.

Source https://www.boxingnews24.com/2022/08/naoya-inoue-wants-stephen-fulton-fight-after-paul-butler/

Not sure how big his jump to the weight classes though, I reckon maybe 4 weight classes will be enough for his body, so I disagree that he will be the next Pacquiao, hehehe.

Chances are high for him to win here and then go after Fulton. But I wanted to see him first against Murodjon Akhmadaliev, this could be an interesting fight. And if he win again they obviously Fulton will be his next target. What's scary is that he even is not on his prime yet, so he could be in a destruction path that could land him at least in the 130 - 135 lbs.
3937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning]: Fake Cthulhu World project DM on Twitter, will steal your crypto on: August 31, 2022, 08:37:25 AM
I mean the vector of attack is the offer of incentive here. Not sure how much it is, but it seems that others can't refused free money and there's where the criminals are taking advantage of.

If I'm not mistaken there was someone  who fall for a similar trick, he was message in Telegram offer a job or something and when he download something, the hacker took his hard earn money.
3938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 30, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
Have read on the news that Canelo wanted to fight Bivol in a rematch in case the latter wins so this will be an added motivation for Bivol to beat Ramirez because that would be a huge payday if Canelo will be true to his words on having a rematch with Bivol.

I'm having a second thought at first on whom to bet for because for me this fight is a bit complicated to predict but with Bivol having a rematch with Canelo after this one, I will be backing the Russian as I also want him to fight Canelo next and see it that win last May was a fluke or not.
But in this case, there are conditions that must be followed considering in his statement Canelo said that he would not have a rematch if Bivol lost to Ramirez so this is something that must be taken if Bivol still wants to fight Canelo.
Ramirez is the underdog but that doesn't mean he's weak at the moment it's just that Bivol's chances are bigger than him.

Yes, Canelo said that he doesn't want to fight a Mexican, so obviously Bivol will have to win this fight in order to make a great payday for a Canelo rematch.

Anyhow, I just thought that maybe Canelo doesn't want to deal with Golden Boy, as we all know the break up with Oscar is not that good. So regardless of Bivol win or not, for sure Canelo wanted to get his revenge fight next.
3939  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 30, 2022, 11:38:25 PM

As far as I know, guranteed na may matatangap ang player, nasa contract nila ito regardless of injury so may sweldo parin sya kahit hindi naglalaro.

Although na settle naman out of court at nagkabayaran.

Injured nga ba sya o makakapaglaro this season?

Madaming bata sa Warriors at talagang made-developed to ng husto, nakita na natin si Moody at si Kuminga, baka this season si Wiseman na at masisilip natin ang hype nitong bata na to. At ang mga picks ng Warriors this draft magagaling din katulad nga nitong is Baldwin na parang KD din ang dating o Chet ang galawan.

Twice a week is a huge number if you have a family and a regular job that takes 5 days a week. If you devote time to your wife, children, work, household chores, then 2 days a week for gambling is a lot. Perhaps this is advice for family people?
Yes, it should be huge if having family. But you can have family and still bet on your mobile phone or personal computer even without your wife and children knowing. It depends on how and where you are gambling.

Even if you are not married, gambling in just 4 times monthly will be good, provided if you gamble with the amount you can lose and not think about or lead to depression, I mean the amount of money that is low to the extent that you can afford to lose it.

During my addiction, I can play 5x a week in a landbase casino, this is prior of me joining crypto and playing online slot games. But I'm more sober now, maybe 2x-3x a month that is a lot to me. I just focus on sports betting now.

I think the advice is much on a broader audience and not for those who have a lot of budget to play daily or weekly. So it's just a baseline for others and who knows, it could be good for them as per the "suggestion" on the budget.
