3941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of fake okex.com exchange on: April 17, 2020, 11:22:18 PM
I doubt it's from Google. If you were to check those top news sites like Cointelegraph and Coindesk, they rely on another network. Google's pretty finnicky when it comes to crypto ads.
I don't understand Indonesian Language but a report from @masulum last month makes it seem like at one point the fake domain was on google Ads (I am not sure whether it is till there though)

Barusan nyoba cek harga Bitcoin dengan memanfaatkan layanan Google search dan saya mendapatkan phishing OKEX.com ads ini:

3942  Economy / Reputation / Re: PM from betnomi. on: April 16, 2020, 11:55:50 PM
Ofc this is not enough to prove anything... they  are accused of a very dishonest behavior, using other people' pictures in their team without authorization. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5104319.0

It is very hard to clean up a reputation once you tainted it...
The scam accusation was made over a year ago, and they even never bothered to respond to it or clear up the air. Why now?
Instead, what they did was this;

I didn't send them any negative feedback or support the type 1 flag back then but this is unprofessional and dishonest behavior by a platform which i can never trust with my money.
3943  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam Alert] https://bitshumb.com/ Discord 'btc give-away' phishing scam on: April 15, 2020, 06:06:42 AM
I seriously does not understand my flag about all this as i have nothing to do with any of this , why am i being targeted? I got alot of scam messages like this in discord ... I never send anything like that...
Nobody is targeting anybody. We simply tag and flag scammers whenever we spot one.
Your profile is the one that announced the scam scheme as you can see in the archived post so it makes the flag justifiable
3944  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Satoshi Bitcoin Converter is now a web app at SatoshiBitcoinConverter.com on: April 14, 2020, 11:56:26 PM
Nice tool for convince when one wants to convert BTC to smaller units but how does one do that?
As a first time user, i just filled in a 1 BTC value but nothing shows up automatically in other unit boxes. I have tried to reload the page but instead it refreshed into a new fresh page with no values at all.

3945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 14, 2020, 10:56:41 PM
Both Barca & Real need to build a new team, they both have players getting into their 30’s. Football goes in cycles, Real & Barca have dominated European football for along time. Maybe it’s time for other teams to take the manyoe now.
At Least Real Madrid has a contingency plan at the moment but not Barça. Things may have not be doing well for them but Zidane has tried to give young stars some chances especially in the midfield and back. Kroos, Modric, benzema have a couple of seasons before they get complete successors.

For Barcelona is a completely different scenario, imagine if Messi decides to call it quits next season.
3946  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Building a list of the safest places to buy Bitcoin in each country on: April 14, 2020, 10:10:53 PM
Can't believe you list does not have a number of P2P exchanges like bisq which can be used by many traders in different countries. Also Binance has quite a number of Local fiat to cryptocurrency exchanges they have launched over the past two years which are much safer like
- Binance Jersey
- Binance Singapore
- Binance Uganda and many more

Binance.com also now supports a number of purchases using fiat currencies: Binance Adds 15 Fiat Currencies as Exchange Pushes Global Expansion

I don't understand how bitmex is on the list thou
3947  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SMARTMIXER.IO - SCAM (EXIT?) on: April 14, 2020, 09:21:32 PM
Currently, you still haven't received a response and the discussion has been open for 3 months almost today
This was their last update in their telegram channel last February

Imagine, they called this legitimate scam accusation a false report! That meant that they had no plans of resolving the issue and were simply pulling off their exit scam. They haven't been active in the forum since then.
3948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BOUNTY STILL PAYS. on: April 14, 2020, 08:27:50 PM
I just wonder why those paymasters don't want to reward them in Bitcoin? After going through the hassle of finding at least one exchange to support some XYZ coin, I think many should have realized they lose more than they earn.

Those alt days are long gone since 2018.
It's because they would rather let you have their 10 Million shitcoins with no value than divide 1 Bitcoin that has value to the people who blindly adverised for them. It's a trick that has been used for long to acquire free advertising services by bounty hunters because let's be honest, the 10 million shitcoins that are going to be paid to the bounty hunters haven't even been listed in the exchanges which means they have zero value.

Unless bounty hunters wake up and avoid making free advertisements. They will continue to be fooled.

Loos like JavaScript, Java is the basis of most of these blockchains. I never had an opportunity of learning this programming languages but if i do get one, the first programming language i will go for is Java/JavaScript.

How about bitcoin? Does it also fall under Java/JavaScript?
3950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 14, 2020, 07:41:15 PM
^  You can wear an N95 and wear the La Liga mask over it.  That's what I do, wear N95 with a home made mask.  You get to use the N95 multiple times.  You still gotta put plastic wrap or cling wrap and seal the outside part of the mask if being stored tho.  Just to be safe.

Yup...  Awesome masks.
I think what @buwaytress was trying to imply is how will the players breathe well when wearing any form of mask. I mean football is a sport that requires excess breathing and having masks on will make things so hard for the players.

I have worn masks in the past while working in a pharmaceutical Industry and trust me, despite just not doing any strenuous work in the lab, breathing in and out is not comfortable. Now imagine someone running while wearing it.
3951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Order Fulfillment time estimation ? on: April 13, 2020, 11:58:26 PM
Becareful. The liquidity of the asset you want to trade in that exchange is very low so if you place a buy bid based on the last price you may have to wait for even hours before it gets fill that is considering someone decides to do a quick sell off and fill up your order.

I just checked the exchange and the trade volume of the asset is very low. Your order of 5000 would take hours or even a day to get filled

3952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 13, 2020, 11:27:49 PM
First thing you should ask yourself is what is your goal? Do you want to make a profit of $100 per week or 10% profit of your portfolio per week? Your goal determine how much you need to start off with. For example for a profit of $100 the larger the amount you start off with, the easier it is to make that in a week.

However since you are a bigger, start off with smaller amounts until you master the art of trading and risk management.
3953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is our chance on: April 13, 2020, 11:15:25 PM
And yet Bitcoin isn't ready.

The network can only achieve around 7-10 tps without relying on second-layer solutions... That's barely enough to handle the current demand, and you think it's ready to handle a potential spike?

If the entire world goes to shit right now, Bitcoin will buckle under the pressure if it somehow becauses the de-facto alternative to fiat.

Anybody disagree?

I am a firm believer of bitcoin and a few other altcoins. I store most of my money in crypto form, I do my refills and some online shopping using BTC or gifts purchased using BTC. The only time i use fiat is maybe when i need to buy food and do a few offline transactions.

But what you said is my worry too... what happens if we get 1/5th of the world population suddenly starts using BTC and transacting in BTC?
The fees alone would go to the rough (read the bull run of 2017)
3954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 13, 2020, 11:08:22 PM
Good news, I saw an article today also saying possibly the PL restarts early June, hopefully there’s some truth to that.
A restart from early June is far from reality to me. That's just roughly 2 months away and the new infection and death tool curve for the UK and most European countries hasn't even flattened.
3955  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Margin trading on Coinbase on: April 13, 2020, 10:24:34 PM
After reading their rules, things are not as straight forward and direct as it is with other margin trading platforms I am familiar with like Bitmex. Everything seems a little complex with trading platforms that use stable coins such as binance and coinbase.

Why not use Bitmex or Bybit OP? Things are straight forward there.
3956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 13, 2020, 09:59:18 PM
What a sad ending for a football player who was destined to do great things in his career.
Barcelona spent 124 million euros on Dembele in 2017. and now they will be very happy to sell him for just a half price, 60 millon euros but nobody wants him.
Lack of seriousness and immaturity with numerous injuries have destroyed one potentially great football story.
Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2020/04/13/5e8d1a2c22601ddd218b462d.html
Who's going to buy him at 60 Million Euros in this current state of economy?  Grin

I personally never expected him to ever shine in a Barca shirt. His attitude when he was nearing the switch from Borrusia Dortmund tp Barcelona spoke volumes and i know he must be regretting the day he decided to leave his old club that cherished him.
3957  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitsprox.pro Exchange Scam or legit ? on: April 13, 2020, 09:40:06 PM
Avoid using them however cheap the listing fee maybe. What's the point of Listing you IEO there if even a majority of people do not know about the exchange?
Trust me your IEO will not gather the funds you may want.

The exchange is still brand-new. Not even more than a month Old according to the domain registration information

3958  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I think I’ve just been scammed out on $1550 by Bitrefill on: April 13, 2020, 09:21:08 PM
I have been using their service for over 2 years now and never faced such a problem or seen a complaint of this nature. But i believe if things don't work out on Amazon's side, they will refund you. Just keep us updated on the outcomes  Wink
3959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: April 12, 2020, 10:14:41 PM
Let's not overreact on the prices of the players right away. I understand that for a season or two we may not have huge transfers anymore, but with the times going like this, in 10 years 500 million dollars for a player wouldn't be out of question no matter how long this corona goes.

I mean surely next season we are not going to see too much of a big transfers going on when and however the season starts, and the year after that we may not really recover fully, or even a year after that as well, but eventually in 5 seasons do you really think that these huge clubs like Madrid or Barcelona will still have troubles? They can literally just sell some of their youth teams and can still make a huge amount of money. Madrid could literally sell half of their team and get younger players and start over with zero financial issues, these teams will be fine in 2-3 years max.
The rate of recovery of big fish in the economy also depends on how the small fish are doing . A season or two or even 5 is too small a time frame to recover, so that we start seeing transfers like that of Neymar.

The COVID19 pandemic hasn't even been contained for pete's sake. What if the pandemic goes on for a year? Will you be saying the same?
3960  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Not To Buy Fake BTC! on: April 12, 2020, 09:18:24 PM
That website
Code:
https://www.bitcoin.com
They even go ahead and name  the real bitcoin as "Bitcoin Core" and the claim that " Bitcoin Cash" is the real bitcoin. So annoying  Embarrassed

Just wondering why that domain was never acquired by bitcoin for all those years before the stupid bitcoin cash fork came in?
It's so misleading to newbies.
