3941  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How to Protect Your Crypto Wallet if Someone Searches Your Phone? on: January 25, 2020, 05:13:53 AM
Is this even legal? Can you refuse to give your phone to law enforcement? How can you protect your cryptocurrency wallet?

If the authorities are the ones who will ask you your phone, I guess you can refuse to give it to them. But if they have a search warrant or a court order for you to surrender your phone, then you cannot refuse it. Refusal means something like obstruction of justice or not cooperating to a lawful search or investigation. So the best way to safe keep your important information is not to store them in your phone.

That would be the case but we don't need to worry if we don't have any case since for sure we are still safe, but I don't think it's safe to store the details on our wallet and best to separate it the more safer place like putting it on desktop or maybe send it to another mail where people cannot reach it up.
Mails can usually prove dangerous in case of storing our wallet backups as mails could be leaked and it would directly endanger our wallets. Most secure way to store our cryptocurrencies is on offline storage so that they would always be safe. We can use only the amount we use for maybe trading or anything similar and store rest in our offline storage.

It is not necessary for the authorities to know our involvement in the cryptocurrencies or the blockchain technology as it might case some legal problems as involvement in cryptocurrencies is not yet legalized by most of the countries and it might seem like an illegal act so it is better we hide it from them.
3942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 24, 2020, 05:06:29 PM
CJ would of course make a big difference, I mean we are talking about the second best player on that team. However Blazers have already been good for the recent weeks considering they are lacking their second best player and as a team that nobody really expected much from anyway, they started bad but gradually became better.

With Melo coming in and maybe this Ariza deal, and CJ coming back I am sure they will make a lot of changes in the west as well. I really wish they didn't because I wouldn't want Pop to miss his playoff streak this year, but if it means Spurs AND blazers coming back I wouldn't mind it Cheesy. I really don't want OKC up there anyway, they were suppose to tank this year yet they managed to still stay in the first round territory, its neither good for them nor good for other teams to gain experience.
3943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 24, 2020, 03:17:30 PM
Bounty has no future since the ICO and IEO disappeared from this market. No more successful new projects so no successful bounty. I expect that ICO or IEO can revive and help the bounty situation to improve better, if the situation continues to be as bad as the present, surely the bounty hunter will not make money in this market.
Nah, that’s not true, there are still some good ICO. The problem is that there are scam projects and these scammers are the ones that keeps making a lot of people feel that there isn’t any good projects left. That’s why you have to be careful and not fall for their stupid tricks.

@OP
I don’t think that ICO is dead, there are still ICOs that are up and running. The only ones that have become weak are IEO and STO, seriously I have stopped seeing anyone mention these two and the hype for IEO just died overnight and it has come to an end. There’s still going to be bounties and it’s not going to end.
3944  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: January 24, 2020, 09:56:11 AM
Not to forget the fact that bustabit has been around for YEARS compared to almost all other places, even tho we look like we are just in page 53 and not much has been written on this topic very frequently, the topic started at 2018 so people assume thats when it all started but reality is this game goes even further back with RHavar as well, it was just purchased by devans in 2018, in a couple of weeks it will be on its second year just with devans. There has been zero problems so far, zero hacks, zero scam attempts, zero issues that caused investors any problems. Hell even when there was an issue, devans basically paid out of pocket when he could have just divided the problem between investors instead. So long story short, this place has been proving why you should trust them for years now.
3945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 23, 2020, 05:56:47 PM
What really shocked me is that, Spurs have been playing amazingly in the last 10-15 games but all their losses came from not being able to close out games, watch the last 10 minutes of last nights game and you will see that they actually found ways to score no matter how hard it got, if Spurs can actually close out games like this for the rest of the year I think 7th spot is not really out of question just yet.

Right now they are back on 8th seed, it is really a huge fight between Memphis, spurs and even Portland for a while there, so all 3 teams trying their best to get that 8th seed and be in playoffs but at the same time only one of them can get in. I can't wait to see how Pop reacts to their last minutes this time around and if he will change anything to keep this up. Playing Derozan at PF was really a marginal decision but it looks like it is actually working out for them.
3946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 21, 2020, 05:31:43 PM
Lazio are the favorites for this clash in coppa italia but at the same time the game is very close to each other, like both teams could win this and I wouldn't be shocked.  For some reason I am not entirely sure Napoli is 2.45 and Lazio is 2.85 on sportsbet.io, lazio is 3rd in the league and Napoli is 11th in the league.

There must be something I am not aware, I do agree that two teams are not too far off each other in talents and Napoli maybe having some rough time in the league and quite talented but I am %99 sure Lazio should be at least given the better odds right? I mean 3rd of the league versus 11th of the league facing each other in the cup looks like 3rd in the league would be at worst 2.00 and not 2.85 and expected to lose. I will wager on Lazio to win this just because of the odds even tho I think anything could happen.
3947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 21, 2020, 04:44:44 PM
Players who complain about their pay check could still be good players, I mean at the end of the day if you deserve to be paid, you deserve to be paid. Kevin Durant took a pay cut to play at warriors and he wasn't a "professional", sure he played amazingly and he probably practices very hard but his professionalism is basically his twitter feuds with everyone in the world. Kyrie never wanted more money, he is happy to share the spotlight with Kevin Durant for example and yet dude basically is the craziest player ever known in NBA history.

You can ask for money if you really think you deserve it, just go out there and give your best every single night and work hard at practices and listen to your coaches, basically do all you have to do and then ask for a good contract if you feel like it, nobody would blame if. Asking for a good contract is only bad if you are a bad player who doesn't deserve a good contract.
3948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Excessive confidence in cryptocurrency trading. on: January 21, 2020, 01:59:03 PM
Over-confidence is always a negative factor and not just in crypto trading nor in trading field. Our level of confidence should be derived from the depth analysis but most traders are getting those level of confidence due to their experiences and amount of capital available for trading which are always less-influencing factors hence such type of traders usually end up booking losses. Being confidence is just a belief and we need to understand our thoughts has nothing to do with market directions.

Always being humble and polite against market will help any trader. Yes, I mean we must follow the stop loss and target levels and out of confident, we should not try anything new. Simply, sticking within basics of trading will lead to profitable trading always Smiley.
3949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does the ETH/BTC ratio present a trading opportunity ? on: January 21, 2020, 07:21:08 AM
I choose fiat calculations rather than risking with altcoins for the reason of multiplying my bitcoin stash. Investment life is simple and I do not want to complicate it with uncalculated risks.
All altcoin trading and investments do not fall into the category of uncalculated risking as there are many good and real use-case based altcoins which are always good to invest and trade with. Ethereum must be one of them. They are good for long term investment even IEO is replacing the use cases of ethereum. I mean ethereum platform will find enough space against the tough competitions from IEO and BNB or EOS kind of new platform providers.

You may be right with your approach but if you are successful and able to get good returns for your altcoin investments in terms of bitcoins then that would be a life changing opportunity rather than simply holding bitcoins for years.
3950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the general issues/problems do traders or investors usually face during on: January 21, 2020, 05:17:23 AM
What are the challenges, regular issues or problems for the traders or investors during investing? Security, High Risk, Scammers, Hackers etc. can be the problems. What do you think?
Like ICO scammers, there are market scammers who trap innocent investors with deceive articles in regular medias and then pump and dump in exchanges. Ripple must be one good example for those kind of scenario. This is not individual's problem but for part of community itself. Yes, they are able to misguide large number of community members through open discussion on this forum and few articles in medium kind of reputed media.

Their big weapon is their capability to move markets on their own direction. These type of people are easily becoming whales and with their plans of re-investing they keep manipulating markets and keep deceiving innocent traders and investors. Sticking with highly reputed and decentralized coins must be the only possible solution as per my experience.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Crypto Based Economy Make Things Safer? on: January 21, 2020, 04:18:17 AM
All those crimes that you have mentioned here, how exactly do you expect cryptocurrency to stop such crimes? Substance abuse?
Fiat don’t even have anything to do with that. For someone to commit such a crime they must have made up their mind to do it, so it’s a decision.

Cryptocurrency is not going to solve any problem, things are still going to be as they are, except that we will be able to trace money where they are going to and if it’s being regulated the culprits will be caught; this is only in case of scam and related events. That people are using cryptocurrency doesn’t mean an armed robber won’t stop you and demand for your coins.
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin’s Next Peak May ‘Only’ Be $80,000, Says Analyst on: January 20, 2020, 07:44:47 PM
Reality is the "only" 80k is not really as correct as we would like to hope for. Of course, I would love it if bitcoin reaches 80k but that would be inconsiderable while economy is at this level. Just to give an example, worlds biggest markets NYSE and NASDAQ have 26 trillion and 18 trillion market caps, bitcoin itself if reaches 80k would have 1.5+ trillion dollar valuation in market cap, I am not saying it is impossible but having 10% of a whole stock markets valuation by itself does look a bit difficult, I would understand if the all crypto market together would worth 1.5 trillion that would be understandable but just bitcoin would be very rough.

It could happen tho, how? If everything else goes up as well, after certain years if market is high for everything else, why wouldn't it be for bitcoin too.
3953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin & Its Momentum on: January 20, 2020, 07:12:08 PM
What can take this momentum continue or even go higher is the fact that hype should not go down, if the hype dies down and people start to think that the increase will stop, the increase will actually stop since its the people who actually buy and increase the price.

So, what we have to do is to keep the momentum going by making great positive posts, instead of saying "bitcoin goes down 700 dollars" we should reword as "bitcoin corrects 700 dollars" which is a more positive approach. Those type of changes will actually change how people look at bitcoin and this hype we have won't die down quickly and the increase won't stop. However, if you keep going like "will bitcoin crash", "is this the end of bitcoin", "3 charts that show why we are doomed" or whatever like that, we will stop going up for sure.
3954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to maximize profit on: January 20, 2020, 06:43:14 PM
Yeah having a portfolio of both old and new coins could help out a lot, at least you would have a stable side and a risky side. For example, if you have 0.5 worth of bitcoins, having 0.3 btc worth of good old trusted coins like btc-eth-ltc and stuff like that would mean your 0.3 would become 0.5 in the end, maybe today, maybe in a year, maybe in two years but that will happen, so the other 0.2 is actually for risky plays.

With the other 0.2 btc you could buy brand new coins, ICO's, IEO's and many other stuff like that, maybe coins that have been around for a while but quite hail marry to just buy like doge or redd or whatever. However, I would suggest staying away from xrp, bch, bsv those are ran by people who are crooked and not liked, coins are fine themselves but anything weird could happen due to their owners.
3955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 20, 2020, 06:19:46 PM
Kante hasn't been in Leicester for the past 3.5 years or so if I am not wrong, I get that they found ndidi as the replacement and that is great for them (sometimes teams can't even find a replacement like that and go through many players in many years) but by this time they should have found a bench player at the very least.

I mean it could be hard to get a bench player I realize that but anyone would have been better than this right? Leicester is still a decent team, they are still comfortably at 3rd position and doubt that will change by the end of the season, they are at 45 pts right now and closest is Chelsea at 39, 6 pts difference, they can probably hold that off unless they go on a remarkably bad set of losing streaks following these two losses they had and can't recover from it.
3956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What about WAVES? No one talks about it anymore! on: January 20, 2020, 05:54:45 PM
Waves such a great coin it was, everyone was very optimistic about WAVES blockchain and it's DEX! There were many predictions that the price will be very high, WAVES will hit 50-100 USD, the top-ten coin, the competitor Of Ethereum and so on! But nowadays no one talks about it, no promotion, no speculation, nothing! Why did these changes happen? What do you think guys about it?
Waves is talked about enough I believe, I mean there has been so many wave related projects that it got divided a bit, people talk about wave projects as much as they talk about wave but that goes unnoticed most of the time. Wave is a decent coin that actually has a very good amount of support from its community, it has a decent price as well right now ranked at around 50th spot so I don't know what would you consider talked about enough?

For a coin that is around 50th spot, it is talked about probably more than any other coin around it. Of course it has a good enough potential to jump as high as top 40 but without something marvelous and unexpected happens, I doubt it will actually move anywhere near top 25 for the foreseeable future. For such coin, it is really cool and has a good supporters.
3957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: January 20, 2020, 05:23:18 PM
I hate conor as much as the next guy and think that he is a good fighter but a bad human (yet his character sells a lot of tickets I can understand that), but to tell that this match was fixed would be very disingenuous towards Cerrone. Dudes first fight was in 2011, he is one of the veterans of the ring and has a record of 36-14, I mean that is 36 wins in UFC which is a lot of fights and a lot of wins, maybe he is getting a little bit older at 36 but dude is still a great fighter, nobody can say it will be an easy fight to go against him, Conor just lucked out early, give them 5 more matches and none of them will end this quickly.

Conor should focus on the title and not khabib, if khabib loses which I doubt he will, conor should get the title and defend it against khabib which would be a better fight honestly, yet if khabib wins which I am sure he will, the rematch would be very fun to watch.
3958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: January 20, 2020, 04:52:13 PM
I don't get why this topic loves Utah Jazz this much, for example Grizzlies have been on a 7 win streak as well which is even more astonishing because these guys were at 9th spot, even at 10th spot at one point but now they are about 2 games away from the 9th spot and managed to secure a spot at playoffs for this time being.

It is always good too see a good team go on a roll and have a win streak and move up positions but this was a team that actually everyone thought would miss playoffs and were tanking but they made a great streak of wins to come back here. After sending Marc Gasol and Mike Conley, people assumed memphis would be basically tanking all year and rivaling teams like kings or wolves at the fight for the bottom but now after sending two of their superstars that helped build this team, they are still looking like a first round exit team.
3959  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 19, 2020, 06:44:17 PM
If we all get together we may end up actually doing something decent. For example all of us here would need money for sure, and all of us would love to be the winner, but how about we all get together on a pledge that we will give 1 btc to a charity if we win?

I know it is very very low possibility that we end up winning because even the last winner was purely just rolled couple times and moved on type of guy but from the looks of it we are like 10-15 people here who bought lambo tickets so we can build a pledge like that. Obviously we would need to pick a proper charity that all of us would agree on, some may like one thing others may dislike it, with the amount of how many charities in the world I am sure we can find one that all of us can agree on. We will then give that charity 1 bitcoin if we win, sure we need it too but lets face reality and realize there are people who need it even more than us.

We've been running our Bitcointalk signature campaign for for more than 3 years now starting back in 2016!
However, as of next week our signature campaign will be discontinued.

BTC paid out: BTC106
USD value of BTC paid out: $430,000

~snipped~
I'd like also to thank you for providing one of the well-managed (and well-paid) signature campaign in this forum for quite a long time. And yes, I didn't have the chance to participate in your campaign (no one in their right mind would wanted to leave any campaign like yours) but I know the feeling of getting paid while doing what I love in this forum (and to continue being a degenerate gambler  Grin ). I'm sure that you've helped a lot of people by being consistent in giving payouts on a timely manner.

Here's to hoping that one day, you'll come back to provide such service (and hopefully, I'd get the chance to be included in it  Wink ).
Yeah, nobody (even people who didn't participate) can deny that it has been a very successful one. Not only in the sense that 3 years ago when this all started bitsler wasn't as big as it is now (which means signature campaign worked to get the website bigger) but also in the sense that it was very well managed by the campaign managers and also paid very well as well. That is literally all you can do from a signature campaign, it should be good for business that does it (it was), it should have good campaign manager (it did) and it should pay well (it did) so there has been not a single complaint about the signature campaign.

Of course, it is sad to see it go but after 106 bitcoins paid for it and 3 years of continuing, I assume it is time to say good bye to it.
