3941  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Amazon gift card cash in service: I will trade you Bitcoin for Amazon gift cards on: June 06, 2015, 03:21:33 PM
I see... gift cards. That should protect you against claims for stolen codes. Though i wonder what amazon would say if someone claims a stolen card, the card was created for his name and you put the code into your account. Youre sure thats riskfree?

Anyway... i hope things work out for you...
I only accept gift cards that are paid for with cash, not gonna allow even $1 of fraudulent activity.

There's actually a lot of legitimate amazon gift card customers. Since moneypak and vanilla reload are gone its one of the last prepaid cards on the shelves. Rates are about the same as moneypak rates back in the day on LBC, and they have the same level of anonymity.

Anyways, I now have a plethora of ways to turn amazon gift cards into cash and bitcoin. Literally any amount will be accepted.

I still see a risk with gift cards. How can you prove that, when the code is already redeemed when you get it, you didnt redeem it and it was the buyer. When i would escrow such a trade i would be puzzled what to decide. It could be both, the seller and the buyer who redeemed it.
3942  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ===►Maidak scammed me 400$ BTC,this time is for sure===► on: June 06, 2015, 02:10:21 PM
When i dealed with him he told me about his frozen bank account and his problems with the skrill account. I wonder why he accepted my skrill offer or if the problems only started after that.

Besides that he claimed personal trouble with the very near family. Different things i wont mention. Though they were all time consuming i guess.

He didnt answer to my sms. I dont know what he is doing. Might be that the problems are way more important to him than spending time on here. Still... accepting receiving money is something he makes fast, thats not fine imho.

Having a very old account doesnt mean you dont leave the community. I know many that left bitcoins because they thought its dead. Price constantly dropping. Losing hope. That kind of thing. Though i think the way he wrote about his personal things, i believe its not someone who bought that account. If it is then he must be quite skilled in telling stories.
3943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 06, 2015, 02:04:57 PM
What type of blogs do you have and how much can you make in bitcoin? Are they bitcoin related ones or can they be about anything?

Hmm... they are all porn blogs.  Grin

I put them up in 2008, without much effort. Then I updated them like once every month or so. I am earning good amounts of money from them. I am earning around BTC0.1 for every 100,000 page-views. That is around $23 for every 100,000 page-views, or $0.23 for every 1,000 page-views. Quite good revenue for porn blogs, if you ask me.  Grin

Couldnt you turn it into autoblogs? I guess you dont produce the content yourself and your blogs are anonymous. So since you take the content from somewhere, wouldnt it make sense to automate?
3944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: June 06, 2015, 02:03:12 PM
Well its like that Billionaire said. When people get fearful you need to get greedy and when people get greedy you need to be fearful.

The same can apply to online Bitcoin gambling.

I dont see how it could apply. That was a saying for trading stocks. The chances in gambling dont change when people get fearful or greedy. Except maybe poker. But normally you should not see which persons are in fear.
3945  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: June 06, 2015, 02:01:06 PM
It is not the spender that causes that. The shipping from Amazon can be different based on the country the buyer is in.

Shouldnt it be only because of the target address, which is the spenders one? I mean the packages always have the same way.

I "forgot" at the beginning too and got messages about that. Still offers got taken. Guess some buyers dont care about giving a bit extra discount. Though when its too much they will cancel.

You would think but I have gotten feedback from buyers that they get hit with extra charges. Gift cards are a good example. Most have free shipping even if you do not have Prime but some buyers from other countries get hit with $25 to send a $50 gift card.

I have assumed that it is because all of the Amazon sites are not linked like we think they should be. If you are in Europe and hit a wishlist it opens your countries site and attempts to fill the order. My original response was just to clear up the example given above. The spender is in Europe and a European buyer would not have the extra shipping elusive1 was talking about.

Normally wishlists are completely divided by amazon countries. I have lists for .com .co.uk and .de and there is no connection besides other amazons asking, at the top of the page, if i would not like to go to my countries amazon.

And gift cards... i cant let gift cards from other countries be send to me. gift codes doesnt work with purse at all, gift cards dont ship to my country. I searched for a forwarder but they want a formal letter, signed by a notary to process my letters.  Roll Eyes As if i would pay one for that.

Maybe some countries have special rules about gift cards. Some extra tax on it?

I cant sugges 796.com too (50x leverage) because they have no support.

First time I hear about this website. Is there an English version of it? You suggest them, because they have no support? That sounds wrong.

Edit: just found it 796.com/?lang=en - I think I wouldn't use it tho.

I wrote i CANT suggest them. Wink

I switched from bitfinex to 796.com because the high fee on bitfinex works way too hefty against you. Its lowering your chances of success way too much.

796 has 50x leverage and its interesting to use such feature... though when i had questions they would not react. So i cant suggest them.

Okcoin has great support so far. The only downside i found is that a trigger order and a limit order cant stay at the same time. The limit overrides the trigger, which means your trigger is staying there but it wont get triggered. And they dont tell you. Thats really not cool. They could handle it simply the way that when the first order gets triggered that the other gets deleted, because there are not enough papers anymore.

In case you search higher leverage. I have read one can trade up to 40x on okcoin. But you need to become a vip for that.

Though okcoin has some serious trust problems at the momemt. Fine for for learning how to trade would it be still.
3948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone making money with swaps? on: June 06, 2015, 11:57:58 AM
If you know what you are doing and have common sense. The real money isn't in loaning BTC. You should try your hand at trading on LBC. I have been very successful there. You have basically the same risk as loaning BTC to others, but your profit is much higher. This has proven to be both entertaining and lucrative for me and I recommend trying it.

Regards

What percentage do you add on the price? And what kind of trades are you handling?

And in the last time you read many bad things about localbitcoins. Hacked wallets, scams happened and such things. No fear that your small profit will be eaten and your own money on top?

Bollywood... and thats something i go backwards away from when i get in contact. It makes me such a strange feeling of empathic embarrasment in my stomach. With the movies and their fans. Guess im not made for that.  Roll Eyes
3951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone making money with swaps? on: June 05, 2015, 01:36:52 PM
I noticed you can do that on Bitfinex.com

Daily interest rate is very low seems like you'd have to have at least loan out > 60k to get anything decent back on that investment.

...

isn't the interest rate .06 of a percentile? that is .0006?

So if I loaned out 1500 USD i'd make 250 bucks after about 250 days?

Youre probably right. Though still, its something like 20-30% annual return. And bitfinex is relatively established. It was double that value a month ago. Changes with the confidence in the bitcoin price.

Im not sure if there are many other bitcoins "investments" that can yield that return at all.

If you want to get interesst from Loaning , you should try BTCJam which is the most famous as far as I know , however just make sure to check the users if they are Verified as should be [ Bank accounts , Paypal accounts , ID , Passport etc ... ] and what class they are [ A,B,C ]

Here is their website [ https://btcjam.com/ ] , also check the video on the bottom very helpful to understand how things really works .

How big is the annual return there if one only choses trustable users? Lower than bitfinex?
3952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Local person Scammed and used my ATM :( on: June 05, 2015, 01:15:46 PM
Try walletexplorer.com. As far as i see the money going into that address is split into half then send to a new address. There happens the same. Then it gets collect and withrawn. Im not sure what kind of website that might be or whats the purpose is. At the end some landed on btc-e. Though its not possible to know the coins were still owned by the scammers.

Might be worth asking them maybe.

I can understand you pitying her.
3953  Economy / Securities / Re: Is BTC Shorting possible ? on: June 05, 2015, 12:17:34 PM
Bitfinex is hard to make a profit on day trading because you need quite a move until your trade is successful. Thats because of their high fees.

I cant sugges 796.com too (50x leverage) because they have no support.

You are a beginner. DONT play with much money. You need to start very slow. So i suggest trusting okcoin for the moment because they are best for learning. Their fees are in your favor.

Of course you might lose your coins. But i think the chance you losing your coins because of trading is way higher then okcoin dying. Thats why you should invest only very few usd until you learned trading correctly.
3954  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 05, 2015, 12:12:58 PM
hmm, guess even if I'd dig out more shady stuff about dadice than is already known, you'd still find a shitload of excuses to stay on their payroll. did the other scams you unknowingly got caught in took that much btc from you?

anyway, I'm still interested what your price is?

What do you mean with "dig out"? Are you the one who hacked the chat? You know... its a bit suspicious lately. ndnhc, the campaign manager, was framed, letting him look like an extortionist and now the chat was hacked. Those are actions that would hurt dadice. I wonder who would have an interest in this. As far as i know, dadice is nowhere near the volume of primedice, who took over most of the players when just-dice died on bitcoins. So why having an interest taking it out of the playfield?

*lol* On their payroll. You mean with the couple USD each month from signature or do you suggest more?  Roll Eyes

My price? You want to pay me leave them? Or you suggest im getting paid more than the campaign? Dude... you sound more and more suspicious to me. Whats your interest?

Of course... i dont have bounds to dadice. If you are a competitor and you pay me, so be it. Wouldnt be different from changing my signature campaign. I only take part in signature campaigns because i post anyway and thought that i could be paid for it for too. Not more work on the way. But so far i did not have a reason to leave. The framing was found out, the hack is serious but their security held, thats more than other sites experienced and getting hacked happened to many bitcoin related websites already. Surviving it is the art and learning out of it.

Im sure dadice lost quite some through these happenings. And the sane thing for a scammer would be to drop the line the minute such things happen. A scammer would not wait until investors want to withdraw or gamblers leave. And for sure they would not want to live with red trust, knowing that it will hurt the future.

Dadice could have circumvent the cold wallet too. As far as i know there are services that offer to fake such cold wallets. Dont know how secure that would be for a scammer but it definitely would have been what a scammer would have done.

He gave me his private phone number when i couldnt contact him otherwise. He said its easier to get him that way.

I will send him a sms now. Maybe he reacts on me and checks back in this thread.

Can't believe people are still wondering if they'll get their money back. Grow some experience in forex and you'll make your asicminer losses in like a couple months, whatever the amount. rofl

Is forex trading easier than bitcoin trading? Does forex trader value technical analysis more so that resistance and support are of higher value than on bitcoin trading?

Only wondering?

also wondering here: was your account sold recently? Or why do you have to whore out your signature to a scam site?

shame on you dude, a legendary member should know it better  Undecided

I spoke with the person behind. When the biggest investor was stupid enough to invest his coins in a way that he could be identified then not presenting the cold wallet address is fine for me. That doesnt proof a scam.

Though in their shoes i would move the coins, by avoiding traces, to a new location so that i could prove that the coins exist.

Still, i can understand if the investor wants to stay private. It doesnt mean that we have to have the same opinion on that topic.

wow, just wow   Embarrassed

what's your history on picking scams so far? briefly looking through your post history indicates that it is fairly easy to part you and your btc using a couple of nice words.

seriously, you should reconsider your benefit of doubt policy in the crypto space.

Youre right. I did a lot of stupid decisions. Though in this case... when its a scam, why is no one complaining that he cant withdraw his investment or deposit? Its very sure that a lot of investors are shaken now. But i dont hear anyone complaining that he did not get his coins.

So far we have... the biggest investor not wanting to be identified by showing the cold wallet. Understandable.
A hack happened without impact. Happened to many legit websites too. Not legit ones take the opportunity and run.

They never defaultet on the pay for signature campaign so they have coins to spend. If they would use up the investors money then an investor would come out claiming that he cant witdraw. Since that would not work for long time. On top... if it was planned as a scam... they would not pay out, they would run when they have enough. And for sure they would not wait until their name is red as it is now.

Maybe your right, i dont know. But forgive me when im not following a random strange that wants to tell me what to do.
3957  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Generation Social Gambling Dice Experience on: June 05, 2015, 10:14:39 AM
So has their been any problems with withdrawing? I guess a not small amount of investors is feared now. Judging from the amount of those leaving the campaign.

Saying that... i did not read anyone claiming that withdraws couldnt be served. And im sure some investors would have want their coins back. But i read no complaints that they didnt get them.

Of course... one has to assume that there are investors at all. Though when you think that way, and dadice would have been a scam, then it would live on the investments from outsiders. If they get their coins back without problems then it wouldnt be a scam anymore. And as far as i read we know there was a public investment feature.

Though when i think about the chat hack. The javascript was injected into the chat software. Does that mean the hacker couldnt have done much more than bringing that message up, because the code was contained somehow, or would it have been possible to run ANY code? If the last, then it would be a serious problem, because they could try to withdraw directly from users browsers... or so.

Anyone knows?

Though saying that... dev wrote that an amount was stolen. I wonder how this could happen when it was contained to the chat.

@enervist... i dont think the faucet can be used to empty the wallet since you only can use the faucet money to gamble. It would be too small to be able to withdraw.
3958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2015, 09:52:44 AM
Certificates Of Impact. You can Invest from your cold storage no need to give your bitcoins to a third party

this is interesting  never heard of, it how the investments work in this certificates? what are they exactly?

there are plans to where you need to invest?

@Amph HI. Its actually quite interesting, my strategy is to approach it like am providing Liquidity as a custodian, am guessing kinda like how people provide liquidity at Bitfinex, but the sweet part is the BTC never leave my wallet.

Check here to Know what the Certificates are https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oy7HzAHMw4kubnBoKxmy_ycC9kch-R6IFvV5plICm-A/edit?usp=sharing
and see how the market has been growing organically https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K_F6LWz8LsLlqgVH7ChQt_A9zXSMDqQFdx4LYGDGpEE/edit?usp=sharing

Im actually thinking of creating a Super Liquidity Pool, I will probably post an [ANN] once I've ironed out the structure. Hope that helps

Can you explain a bit more? I see its about investment but the first doc gives me more questions than that i know what happens exactly. You dont give the money out? You give an insurance when a project wont work? This sounds like everything is promised, no risks and all. Though i dont even have an idea what its about at all.  Shocked

The Certificate creators take the risk mostly. When you and I get a certificate from the creator we will be seeking to trade and increase their value. We do this in a couple of ways, Support /advice an entrepreneur, put BTC in escrow  if need be, maybe even go as far as lend them a few BTC(the Certificates are our collateral).
In a nutshell, someone in the real world is executing the certificate, and using it to start/run their business. In the Crypto world we use BTC where it shines- settling international wire, NofM signatures, maybe autonomous contracts in the future etc. Oh, and you yourself could also be the actual entrepreneur in the real world.
To Really Grasp the power of Certificates see Benevolent Entrepreneurship https://medium.com/@benove_impact(it will clear up some questions you had in the earlier doc)

Cheesy I still dont get it. For the start, what does certificate mean here? When i read the blog i first thought its about these persons that sell themselves. They create a business plan for their life and let others invest in them. They then have to work to earn for the investors. Similar to a stock security, only that its an actual human itself.

But its not that. It only is stated that the certificates could help feed every human being.

Can you make an example? The creator of the certificate, what does he write into it? It is a paper of value and other people can trade it. Just like options or debt papers. Its wort more to some.

I see one should try raising the value of that certificate, but what is the certificate about. Whats the value of it?

For example the "feed every human being". I dont see who could offer a certificate which could be worth something because its backed by something.

3960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Gavin resign from developement of Bitcoin? [POLL] on: June 05, 2015, 09:33:53 AM
It goes like this: Satoshi > Gavin > Community

Not like this: Satoshi > Community > Gavin

If you put the community in the middle there will be total chaos with no direction or cure. The community must go with flow chart A.

Um... regardless of the OP's question... im really astonished how many bitcoiners believe in a top down hierarchy. Your suggestion is the opposite of democracy. Gavin should only be the one that does what we want. Though i admit its hard to come up with an idea how the community could possibly vote on what should happen. The vote by chosing the original or the forked blockchain is a vote system already in place.

Still, Gavin should be the one who does what we want, he is no ruler. Only saying that he decides what to do looks to me like a backstep in human development. As if we need a leader telling us what will happen. Making us the ones who follow commands.

What is this conflict of interest with blockstream? How can the other devs profit from it by not forking?

I see though how Gavin could profit when he gives bitcoin his own stamp BitcoinXT. Im not sure if that name can be protected by rights so that Bitcoin would be a bit less public ownership. But i see that its a problem when future wallets are build from a company. Though i wonder how much bitcoin xt will affect things when the original client is changed and gavin isnt only going to bitcoinxt in order to use his private fork.
