Yeah I totally thought the same. I would have believed it could be true to have all that volume for ETC.
Poloniex is not a charity, money have to be made and accepting ETC is just another way.

I have a question about the silkwallet:
Will there be any update to polish/clean the GUI?
There's cryptsy still mentioned there.  Grin

Thanks for your help ax66: I tried but again no luck.
I also disabled Antivir and Firewall.
It's so strange

https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/releases/tag/v1.1.3

p.s.
actually all nodes i mentioned above were running on p2p 18775

Yes, I am (was) using the latest wallet.

Two massive sell walls:

One around 1k sats to keep price artificially low.
Second around 2.6k sats, which was the 1 mil that was bought @ 1.6k sats, looking to profit around there.

Don't sell now, you will regret it.  This is going above 3k near term.  They want your coins.

Somebody is playing the game. Shaking weak hands and accumulating for greater returns.
This is the altcoin world, it works like this. Unless you have more weapon that's how the market looks like.

Napoli really can't play without argentinians  Grin Grin Grin

Maradona really left his mark!

About Icardi's value: no way near 20Million Euro for me today. Totally overpriced
3945  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like what Coindesk is doing? on: July 26, 2016, 06:36:26 AM
they need Visits to Survive

They don't need to survive: they need to provide information. If then they want to make money out of it so be it, they understand the rules.
There's so much junk to compete against and I think they are simply adapting.
Not to mention they sell reports for quite some money.
3946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN/DISCUSSION] Silk Network: Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver on: July 26, 2016, 06:32:36 AM
Just a tip for everybody staking Silkcoin.
Go on Wallet -> Actions -> Debug
Switch on the Console Tab
and type the following command

repairwallet

You will get rid of all the orphans.

Nice to have a clean transaction sheet.

Regarding the DRKSLK price, sorry guys but I think is too high. It needs to be proven that way.
But, usually, I'm totally against any ICO. I'm for a normal coin launch.

Let the users decide the price (Ok, I know you need money for developing...)
3947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN/DISCUSSION] Silk Network: Silk, DarkSilk and Weaver on: July 25, 2016, 05:39:04 PM
The ICO news did not bring much enthusiasm.

Market is changing rapidly as we all know here in crypto. Hope you guys have some fireworks ready for the release to come.
3948  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-24] bitcoin.com] Moody’s: Blockchain Technology is ‘Creating on: July 25, 2016, 06:24:52 AM
Moody’s: Blockchain Technology is ‘Creating Competitive Pressure’

A new report from Moody’s Corporation details that there are currently over 120 blockchain-related projects involving Ethereum, Hyperledger, Microsoft, Bitcoin, and R3 CEV development.............

https://news.bitcoin.com/moodys-blockchain-tech-competitive/

"Interestingly, top audit and consulting firms, PwC and Bain, respectively, just began warning businesses that “blockchain illiteracy” could “hurt” banks and a wait-and-see approach could leave institutions “flat-footed.” Perhaps it won’t be long before Moody’s — an agency that rates over 170,000 corporate, government and structured finance securities worldwide — will also include Bitcoin/blockchain IQ in their own rating system."

Sounds like an exortion: either you join us or you are dead.
It's never good to be threatened fon our "own good". These consultancy agencies aer leveraging the "blockchain" to take a lot of money from big companies which don't understand anything of what this whole ecosystem is about.

even though higuain officially joined juventus later , there major contender to win UEFA Champions League next season like real madrid , bayern munich and barcelona . it always gonna not easy to win UCL trophy .

Juventus has better chance to win the champions league if they sign higuain for sure. Juventus has the most solid defender accross all teams compared and if they could get the best striker in serie A to join them then you would know what kind of damage could they do to the other team on champions league
really? how about bayern munich defender? there is manuel neuer - philipp lahm - jerome boateng - matt hummels - david alaba , this is the best defender ever in modern football era.

juventus just wasted money if they sign higuain for that high price , it is equal to when they build juventus stadium around 100 million lol.

Why comparing the stadium expenses with buying one of the best attacker in the world. Your post makes no sens at all.
If you call buying Gonzalo Higuain a waste of money I would be curious to know how much you would have paid him.

I uninstalled everything from a win 8 64 bit machine. I'll try again from a win 7 64 pc.
Thanks for all the tips.
I'll do as you guys say.

Maybe it could have been a blocked port because everything else was fine.

Civic’s $1 Million Identity Fraud Protection

A new blockchain-based identity platform called Civic wants to be a second-factor authentication for people who want to be insured for digital ID theft protection. The app, which just launched, notifies its users when their social security is used by a Civic affiliate allowing people to make sure the use of this information is legitimate.............

https://news.bitcoin.com/civic-identity-fraud-protection/

It really does look like a great project even though I really don't get how they make money out of it. They say they don't share any info about users' ID.
Ok so what do their partners get?
It sound like good but I would like to know more.

If Higuain moves to Juventus F.C. every other European team should be scared.
It's a long time Juventus does not win an European competition: this could be their opportunity.

Gonna bet on them winning ECL!

I think I may move to Venezuela.

Then I can watch as the bitcoin price goes TO THE MOON!!!

Then you would need to be very careful down there. It's not easy to live there even (and, maybe, especially) if you are rich. Lots of kidnapping and bad things going on. Mmm, no not a wise move
3959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 23, 2016, 10:25:08 AM

There's no much to be said. We are in a sideway trading range looking a bit more down than up.

There's a wall keeping things steady which is very good at present.
I expect something good from this project.
