I can't remember when or where but I've already seen a post where Doge and Shiba had more hits on Google than BTC. It's usually the other way around but I won't be surprised if there are people who came to know bitcoin after those two.
I had a look at google trend search, and it looks like Bitcoin was always on top of those two, even at their peak in May 2021: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fbwsi749.png&t=664&c=JmR_sWPHZXNWzw) It's also interesting to note that the peak of Bitcoin in 2017 was larger than the 2021 one.

Yes.
What I like to do though, is that every time I spend some bitcoin, I also buy bitcoin with fiat, at least the same amount, usually more.
So, by using this technique, I am actually increasing the amount of bitcoin that I have every time that I buy something with bitcoin. Win/Win.

thank you blockman, blockman and asriloni Do you wanna to participate in yield farm pancake?
yes, I do I wanna to staking in pancakeswap Do you have a better offer? Five years is a long time, and many things can happen. Make sure that you'll be OK if your investment goes to $0. Having said that, as of today: Pancakeswap offers you a 78.21% APY Pancakebunny offers you a 84.50% APY The main difference is that pancakebunny pays you in Cake and Bunny, not only Cake. Shouldn't really matter too much since it's all Cake internally until you withdraw it, and then you can just convert the bunny to cake, or all to a stablecoin, etc. With pancakeswap you are dealing with the original issuer of cake. With pancakebunny you're adding one layer of risk because it's another company using pancakeswap, but it does give you more APY.

One of the best tools that I've used for this kind of thing is koinly https://koinly.ioIt's basically a service to help you calculate your tax, it supports many countries, many coins, and AFAIK it only requires you to put an email address to use it. Very easy to use, you can either import CSV files with your transactions, or sync it directly with an exchange/wallet.

You could create a lightning powered beer tap: https://github.com/puzzle/lightning-beer-tapIt uses a Raspberry Pi, but I reckon you could use an Arduino as well. Another project I remember seeing was a sprinkler activated by lightning payments. The more sats you paid to it, the more time you get a refreshing mist provided to you.

I don't think traditional banks will die, at all. Definitely not in the next decade.
If you think of society in general, you'll see that a lot of people still go to a physical bank to pay their bills, make deposits, withdrawals, etc. All of those things can be done online, yet a lot of people choose to go in person. You need a bank for that.
Think about cash for example. When credit/debit cards became popular many people started thinking that cash will be obsolete in a decade or so. You can still see cash being used everywhere, and we'll still use it for a long time.
Same with banks. If anything, more banks will start to pop up now, allowing you to pay with crypto through their card. At the end of the day you'll have to call a number when your card is blocked, even though you're using crypto in theory.

Actually, Ethereum is a very strong project that have a verr strong team therefore I belive Ethereum token an be place next to bitcoin. But the Ethereum blockchain is demanding for a very high transaction fee, as a result of that, many people are diverting to BSC network in order to have less transaction fee.
Absolutely agree. Ethereum transaction prices just make it impossible to use. It really doesn't make sense that you need to pay $100 to get $20 out of a defi platform these days. Alternatives like BSC are popular, but there are many of them already. For example Matic, or Solana. The key then is in bridges. You need a token that allows you to earn money while bridging between networks. That's going to be the best performing coin in the future IMO.

Matic seems to be one of the successful alternative Ethereum networks in terms of adoption.
I think it will grow in 2022 as more and more projects start using it.
Price is already a bit high though, so I'm not sure if you can make incredible gains starting today, but also I don't think you'll lose money in 2022 with Matic.

Looks like this thread has been of interest to some scammers, I also got the DM with the fake link at the bottom.
I guess the scam is to impersonate people here and ask for a refund.
Not sure if someone is impersonating me through DMs, but just to confirm, I'm still interested in getting this awesome bar.
