3941  Economy / Economics / Re: First Bitcoin ATM in Venezuela on: October 12, 2019, 07:22:17 AM
It is a good step taken by them. At least people in Venezuela will be able to use or know about crypto currencies just because of that one ATM. But I really hope those ATM fees won't drive them away from buying bitcoin. Also as far as i know, those ATM spends very low mining fee thus confirmation time takes a lot making people really frustrated (i have seen someone literally crying and becoming impatient for of slow confirmation speed).
3942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: October 12, 2019, 06:52:37 AM
xCashOut just seems like an odd-looking name to me, though the X in front is interesting and might be the thing that customers remember. WagersWallet just looks like a site for a wallet for the Wagerr coin to me, and seems a bit too closely related to it.

CoinBettors could be a good option, though a close second to me would definitely be DiceWheel. The name tells visitors the site's for crypto gambling, and it's a relatively easy one to remember and is easy to pronounce.
Nah, x looking thing is totally weird and the whole name no way indicates that the name of the domain name is of a casino/crypto gambling site. The worst part is the "x". Feels really weird like a username where you use "x" in front or end because you can't find a username that has already not been taken lol. Dicewheel sounds like a gambling site not completely a crypto gambling casino. But yeah, now a days dice refers to crypto casino so i guess its alright.
3943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The crypto hell: the exchangers manipulation. on: October 11, 2019, 09:12:02 PM
This can actually happen and I guess it does happen but they do it in such a discreet way, we can hardly notice or blame them. But I have heard exchanges manipulating volumes and increasing it to show others that their exchange is more active and better to attract people. I guess decentralized exchange platform are the only solution to get rid of those price manipulation being done by an exchange.
3944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Casinos Have the Lowest House Edge? on: October 11, 2019, 09:08:46 PM
Hey guys, are there any high quality Bitcoin/altcoin casinos out there that have an extremely low house edge? e.g. 1% of below?

Looking to try out some dice strategies in particular (yes, I know they will never work in the long run), but also looking to play other fun and interesting games that have close to no house edge.

Drop your favs below!
Hey! If you haven't tried, try crypto-games.net! They have one of the lowest house edge in dice. The house edge is only 0.8% which is extremely low and below 1% just like you wanted. They sometimes also hold no house edge promotion and has no speed limit on dice mondays!
They have faucets. You can use it to try out your dice strategies.
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is better than fiat currency? on: October 11, 2019, 09:04:21 PM

1. Cryptocurrencies are now becoming more accepted as a means of trade worldwide.
A few years after the introduction of Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, people around the world are starting to see Cryptocurrencies as a trustworthy means of transaction which means that you can go to most countries which basic Internet infrastructure and do business transactions using your Crypto Wallet whether a digital one or a physical one which means that you don’t need to call your bank in order to make your account accessible to when you go to other countries as Crypto Wallets are accepted anywhere where Cryptocurrency transactions are being made.

2. Cryptocurrencies have top-notch security and cannot be easily fooled
Cryptocurrencies use blockchain technology in order to make sure that there are no inconsistencies when it comes to transactions. If there are any inconsistencies with the transaction, the blockchain will reject the transaction and your money will still be in your Crypto Wallet.

3. Cryptocurrency transactions are secure transactions
As stated earlier, Cryptocurrencies have top-notch security using blockchain technology. They also keep all transactions on record anonymous as the only person who knows their Crypto Wallet Address is yourself and wherever you post your address link to.  You can keep generating new addresses if your previous Address is compromised.

True crypto currency is better than fiat currency in many ways. Various reasons are out there for which we can say that crypto currency is wayyy superior than fiat currency.
1. Nah, I don't think so. There are just limited and selected few shops or online stores that are accepting crypto currency as a means of trade. But it is indeed growing slowly.

2.True it has "top-notch" security and but you sure it cannot be easily fooled? What about those network attacks that take place and causing bottlenecking of transactions along with high fee.

3.The transactions are secure but remember, most of the crypto currencies don't keep you totally anonymous. They are rather "pseudonymous", which means you can be eventually traced back. Again, don't you think this is also a scary factor since crimes can be comitted quite easily?
3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2019, 08:49:11 PM
Is this possible?  Example you lend bitcoin to something similar to like a bank and they give you interest on it?  Like how now they give you 2% interest?

I heard binance is doing something similar like that but it was like 10%?
Not sure about binance (you sure it's 10%? That is a very high interest rate!), but yeah it is possible to lend bitcoin and receive interest just like banks. But one big problem, you will need to trust the person who you are lending. There is always a chance that the person whom you lent your bitcoin might run away and scam you. In fact tons of people will try to do the same. Since the system is totally decentralized, there is no way anyone can guarantee you that you will get back your coins or the interest. Though you can always use an escrow and ask for collateral. But escrows can go rogue too.
3947  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 things should not be too in trading on: October 11, 2019, 08:43:09 PM
Nice explanation but those are not convincing enough. You are telling us not to "trade too much". How exactly does a person know that he is trading "too much"? There is no standard of measuring how much a person is trading. Again, isn't it like the more you trade the more profit you will be making (or loss). I guess, it is because of the loss you are telling people not to trade too much, but you know, with greater risks comes greater profit!
3948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin coins are losing popularity? on: October 11, 2019, 07:41:06 PM
Bitcoin is an online currency.  Even if started with a lower price.  Now its value is beyond the reach of ordinary people. But, nowadays, it seems that Bitcoin is losing its popularity.Because, not receiving validity in low income countries. It may be the main reason.
Its not becoming "beyond" the reach of the ordinary people. You don't have to buy one whole coin to own bitcoin. You can always buy a fraction of the coins. 0.1 BTC, 0.01 BTC or even 0.00001 BTC. There is no difference. They all have a value. Your 0.0001 BTC can one day worth thousands of dollars. There is no such thing as you "can't" afford bitcoin.
If you still want to own one whole coin, there is always altcoins you can invest on.
If bitcoin is losing its popularity, why is it still on the top?
3949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Worrying about the Bitcoin Price on: October 11, 2019, 07:14:22 PM
It is really quite easy to say "stop worrying about the price". But to be honest, it is not at all. Specially for someone who has invested hundreds and thousands of dollars in bitcoin. Imagine you bought 1 BTC for $20,000 and then days are going and the price of the coin is dropping and dropping. Would you not worry? Would you not be nervous when you see that your investment when down by 80%?
Worrying actually helps. It helps you to get out of a bad situation before it actually occurs. Being totally carefree might bring a financial disaster.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dictaorships & how cryptocurrencies can bypass their control on: October 11, 2019, 07:09:09 PM
One thing about authoritarian/totalitarian governments is that they want to control all aspects of the county that they currently reside in with an iron fist. As a result, the people there are most likely restricted to following the current dictator or group of people in charge and are unwilling to step out of line due to the fear of consequences. Cryptocurrency can probably bypass that control Considering that a majority of places with dictators can still access the Internet via a VPN or other means they can use cryptocurrencies.

An example would be in China, considering that their government controls its economy and has a lot of restrictions on what people can and cannot do with the currency (RMB) that they use. Cryptocurrencies can bypass that control as they are not controlled by any government and can keep the identity of its users a secret when they do transactions this can result in people using cryptocurrency being able to freely trade without any restrictions on how much they use. As a result, cryptocurrencies allow people in oppressed regions to become freer as they are not restricted in terms of money and trade.

What if the country bans and makes it illegal to make any kind of transactions using crypto currencies? You see, the dictator over here didn't ban the currency itself, but was able to put a ban on the usage thus anyone using the currency is committing a crime. Even if they some how manages to stay away from the sight of the government, whats the use of buying it if they can't actually use it. Like none of the stores in their country will be willing to accept crypto currency. We need some better solution.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think majority of the people heard or read Bitcoin one time or another on: October 11, 2019, 09:43:55 AM
Highly likely some one did come across the news of crypto currency thus hearing about bitcoin. To be honest most of the people heard about bitcoin during the huge bloom of the price back in 2017. This is when most of the news was centered around crypto currencies along with the governments being concerned about the usage of crypto currency. People started to hear how quickly people made or are making profit by investing on crypto currency. Who wouldn't be interested on a investment which made some people rich over night, right?
So yeah, I guess most of the people did hear or read about Bitcoin at least once in their life time.
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the fair rewards come out from campaign? on: October 10, 2019, 08:23:22 PM
Lol your "friend" worked for 6 weeks and only received $6 for all his work? So that's like $1 per week and you are asking if that is fair? No this is no way fair at all. Your friend could have done something else like sell his skills rather than work for six weeks and earn just a beer money. To be honest, its the fault of the forum users who are willing to work for days just for few cents. Just stop working for those campaigns and you will see those project team members raising the rewards automatically.
3953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: October 10, 2019, 06:47:49 PM
I wouldn't choose to buy Bitcoin from ATMs, because of huge fees and especially because it is more convenient to buy it online, instead of going to an ATM. But I believe it has a good effect on popularization of cryptocurrency as people will start to ask questions and wonder what it is. Not adoption, but still it is important.
People go to ATM because it is easier for them to buy from an ATM without going through any lengthy process. They can easily buy bitcoin on the go. Again buying online takes a lot of time. You need to go through a lot of paper works and verification stuffs. Sometimes your bank account even rejects the transaction. The wait time vs the high fee counter balances the pros and cons. But, some atms uses very low miner fee and seen people complaining about very slow confirmation time due to the low fee.
3954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: October 10, 2019, 06:37:42 PM
Hello Bitcoiners,

Please, vote on these premium domain names poll. Which one will you choose for a prospective gambling startup and why? Kindly explain your choice and share your opinion about the rest.

I have posted this on different threads but got some conflicting results. So I decided to settle this once and for all. The poll will run indefinitely and will assist prospective gambling owners to make their domain choices. We will be removing some names as they are taken and be adding some.

You're also free to ask any questions about these domain names, I'll be willing to explain anything you don't understand. Thanks for your votes and your opinions.
I would vote for coinbettors.com and that would be my top choice. Sounds totally like a gambling/casino site. By the way are these crypto based casino/gambling site? If yes, then like I said coinbetters.com would be my first choice followed by wagerswallet.com and then dicewheel.com. I would skip xCashout.com. That sounds kinda weird. If its not a crypto casino, then I would put vegasprize.com on the list.
3955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are excited everytime we see a new coin without knowing it first on: October 10, 2019, 08:12:10 AM
Everytime there are coins that are being advertise we get excited
we make rumors and lots of noise without knowing it forst hand
we are just excited about the bounty , and sharing links to others
to make lots of refferal and bonus
but at the end of the campaign after we found out its a bust we then release are sentiments toward it, how it fails and the campaign
I think we should understand that everything are not perfect and we should be willing to move on after it , instead of wasting time and hate over the project this should be what we should do
It is because of all the hypes that are created. It is because of those shill accounts or people that promote those shitty altcoins. When they see that the price is getting pumped while those shill promote the coin, they get really excited. They think its going to be too late if they wait and miss their opportunity to make some quick profit. So they don't bother doing their own research of the coin after hearing those "fake" positive news being spread out. But one thing. They do learn their lesson and becomes more careful the next time.
3956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC/USD trading without Bank Account on: October 10, 2019, 07:59:17 AM
Being involved in crypto space for quite some time now, I have seen the price going up and down a numerous times.
I plan to try out trading to try my luck.

What I am looking forward to is if there are any exchanges that enable us to trade BTC/USD without the need to link a USD Bank account. I want to be able to keep my USD funds on the exchange itself (I am aware that it's not recommended to keep funds on exchange) and trade as normal. I would be just withdrawing the funds in crypto as the time comes.

Do enlighten me regarding this.

I don't want to trade between the cryptocurrencies because almost the entire crypto market follows the trend that Bitcoin takes on (more or less).
So you want to convert your crypto currency to USD but not have a bank account link to it. More like store it in the USD value only. Why not user tether? USDT is a stable coin pegged with the USD fiat currency. Though I have heard a lot of accusation against them of being fraud and stuffs (not sure how much true it is since I don't use tether or any stable coins). If you don't like USDT, try some other stable coins.
I don't think any exchange/platform will let you store your coin value in a fixed USD value. You are giving them the coin and they are giving you just numbers (value of the coin against nothing) which makes no sense.
3957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BAKKT The Pump To November on: October 10, 2019, 07:16:10 AM
Never heard of BAKKT until today. Kinda sounds like you are just trying to create a hype and nothing else. Just like those news articles I came across when googling BAKKT.
What if it doesn't get "pumped" to November? What you going to say then? BAKKT - the pump to December?
Just looking at graph and saying that the price is going to get pumped or is getting pumped isn't correct. You will need solid facts to support your claim.
3958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Too many exchange apps on: October 09, 2019, 01:58:20 PM
i use all exchanges only in browser.

i do not understand the hype to have a dedicated "app" for each trivial service, which i can visit as a website.
So they can use it on the go? Most exchanges are designed for desktop view and it becomes a bit messy when using from a phone. So they make a dedicated mobile application so users can easily access the exchange while they are travelling or is away from their computer. Most of these applications also have some sort of push up notification system if there is a significant change in price of a coin (at least coinbase has the function).
Hope you understand now. Just use a little bit of your brain.  Wink
3959  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation around the world and Bitcoin on: October 09, 2019, 01:50:53 PM
People in Venezuela and Ghana have no money to buy bitcoin.Do you think that average person in these and similar countries is able to buy even 0.100 btc a month
Economic situation all over the world depends now on talks about tariffs between USA and China. If talks will fail we will see mega crisis. Now ask yourself if your economic and financial situation uncertain will you put your money what you need to survive in most risky asset.Bitcoin is most risky and most profitable asset in the world
Lol. Really? They don't have "any" money to buy bitcoin? Then how do they buy their regular stuffs like their groceries? How to they pay their bills?
Now I guess you are thinking about them buying one whole bitcoin, right? Why do they have to buy one whole bitcoin? They can always buy fraction of bitcoin and whatever they can afford. They will just convert their fiat to bitcoin. Thats all it. Or they can just introduce their own crypto currency suitable for their economic system. Its not like they must use bitcoin. Altcoins are always an option.
3960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think Voodoo works in Gambling Games? on: October 08, 2019, 08:04:44 PM
I have always heard of people who win games with voodoo(charms/certain spiritual power).I know Voodoo is everywhere. They are said to use it to get accuracy in their predictions, permutation, casinos, throwing of dice etc while this will help to reduce to the bearest minimum their risks of loosing.
So, Do you also think this is true?
No. What the hell. Why would you even believe this? Lmao, if this was true, everyone would use "Voodoo" to win in gambling and there would be no losers hence all casinos will go bankrupt! Even if this "Voodoo" was real, just one guy would wipe out every casino that existed.
Stop believing on all these bullshits. Gambling totally depends on luck. You win or you lose. No such external "natural" force can change the outcome.
