3942  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TradeFortress VERY untrustworthy, owes me 10.15 BTC, possibly others. on: May 26, 2013, 01:07:19 AM
So if nobody had ever heard of trojans would it be fine for me to infect people's computers and take their btc as long as my link said "click here to see why you're unsafe!"
I could see a person doing this to show the problems inherent in trusting random internet downloads.. but then to not give that back doesn't seem like an ideal situation for a person's reputation.

Seems like OP is a casualty of an aggressive campaign against Ripple.  Maybe something does need to be done, but should this be the way?

"Bitcoin user scams Ripple users in an attempt to show Bitcoin's superiority," I don't want to see this headline.
You do realize I already gave him back, and then he kept it in Ripple and someone took it again?

The "legit" spot price is zero.

Are you for serious?
3945  Economy / Lending / Re: New BTC Tycoon Game! on: May 26, 2013, 12:40:23 AM
You're probably better off organizing a team to make a Bitcoin related game during LD.

Actually, this isn't a bad idea. Anyone interested in working for LD27 this August? We can make something with Flash or JS/Canvas.

What is LD sorry? Smiley

Ludum Dare. It's a gamemaking compo where you make a game in 48 (compo, solo) or 72 (jam, team ok) hours.

No, don't make it provably fair. Read this and come back: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=161236.40

How can you make a good game for $1300 INCLUDING advertising costs?
3950  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trading with Non-License Money Transmitters (aka lending BTC to ANYONE) on: May 26, 2013, 12:17:51 AM
I just saw your behavior in the Tangible Cryptography thread. Congratulations, you made it to my pretty exclusive ignore list.
3951  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Liberty Reserve the popular digital currency got shut down by the authorities on: May 26, 2013, 12:13:59 AM
The nature of a decentralized currency is that it cannot be shut down without shutting down the entire open internet. Exchanges and legal entities with significant presence may be shut down, but there will always be OTC trading.
3952  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: May 25, 2013, 01:17:18 PM
But then trust becomes meaningless, as people will start making sockpuppets and then rate them heavily, and noobs will be fooled into some scammer with +2434.
3953  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: May 25, 2013, 01:11:06 PM
Yes, but it's not just the people you trust, but also the people they trust too (unless you set the depth to 0). So if they trust someone who is one of the 1000 members (pretty likely), then you'll still see it.

TF I use a blockchain.info address for my OTC user - how do I use the blockchain.info website to decrypt the message on the OTC Link page?
It only supports PGP/GPG at the moment. You need to have added a GPG key to your OTC account.
3955  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] $500 Vanilla Visa on: May 25, 2013, 12:32:24 PM
Wow, really?

I was just about to bid you $450 or so for your visa. Free money, why not? I generally have no use for Amazon GCs.
3956  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace trust on: May 25, 2013, 12:17:09 PM
The number is not all feedback, it's only from your trust network.
3957  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk trust list? on: May 25, 2013, 11:34:06 AM
See the textbox where you can enter people you want to trust there? Put a username in each line. If you put anything there, you will no longer trust DefaultTrust.
