3942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOLEN BITCOINS on: November 16, 2017, 05:14:47 AM
I guess the answer for my question would be a NO but Ray of hope always gives the light to move forward.

Can we ever get the stolen bitcoins back Sad( I know once stolen they are  gone forever, unless the scammer/ fraudster who stole becomes a saint over night and give it back Sad

The question here is how these Scammers or hackers or "fraudsters" stolen your Bitcoins? Is it a false promise where they say that they will give it back in double or tripled amount and you just send it to them? If that happens, then the fault is not on the bitcoin wallet, but on you. Bitcoin wallets as far as I know is very secured unless you are giving out you private key to other people.
3943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where would you buy Bitcoins if you could choose? on: November 15, 2017, 11:32:11 AM
In some countries there are Bitcoin machines where you can exchanghe Cash and Bitcoin. Would you use this machine or rather buy your Bitcoins in the Internet?  Roll Eyes

Depends on how I need the money. In our country, we mostly use one exchanger to exchange Bitcoin into cash but that takes time sometimes, a day. So basically we wait, but if there are these kind of machines here in our country, I will gladly use that kind of exchanging my cash, atlest I can't wait.
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Already Back On Track? on: November 15, 2017, 09:10:34 AM
I would like to think so. BCH has stopped growing, and BTC is approaching $7000 again. We should go even higher once BCH people realize they are supporting a lost cause and dump for BTC.

It is not that people supported BCH, more like the individuals backing that altcoin up thought they can attract people with it's pump but that pump is just a bubble. Poor people who bought BCH at the time the price is growing, they are now awake to the reality that BCH will never go beyond bitcoin.
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are considered illegal? on: November 15, 2017, 02:21:28 AM
Hi everyone,
I've join the bitcoin world for 1 year and earn a little income from this wonderful place.
But, unfortunately, when I talk about this to my parents, they all said this is the illegal money and I have to quit it before getting trouble with the government. Truly, even the main TV news program in my country said that, national banking system will banned bitcoin from any payment and there will be an punishment for that.
In my opinion, Bitcoin and crypto. still have its advantages and could be helpful if we use it for the good purpose.

What do you think, how can I explain to my parents? some article would be great. Thank you all!

I think it is better if you first do some researches before confirming it. There are other countries that ban it, and some of them do not but obviously with a serious reason to ban this digital currency. If it is really banned, because you said it is in the news, then I think it is time to stop it because you might get arrested if you continue using Bitcoin. And if it is really banned, you don't need to explain anything to your parents because it is now illegal in your country.
3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nearly a third of people think bitcoin will collapse in the next six months on: November 14, 2017, 12:07:32 PM
We can't blame them, I mean bitcoin is volatile, the price changes every time. What will work here is the your skill in predicting what may happen and your knowledge to think what will people do in a certain period of time. If bitcoin will collapse in the next 6 months, then I think it must had collapsed earlier.
3947  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin - nakakatulong nga ba? on: November 13, 2017, 09:50:59 AM

3948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the government or banks create their own crypto? on: November 13, 2017, 05:17:04 AM
With the likes of government , NSA ,banks etc..Could they coordinate into creating their own crypto to defeat Bitcoin?
Creating something like 'Legal Bitcoin' , invest and pump, make it succesfull? Make markets aware
Maybe even create their own cryptography where they could still be able to decypher code if they needed to?

Everyone can create their own crypto currency, the thing here is how many people will be investing or supporting that crypto currency in the circulation. So the obvious thing that a user can do is to be aware or cautious of that crypto because they will think that it may be a trap of the government and may be a crypto currency that is not decentralized.
3949  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Millennials and Bitcoin: Nagkataon na uso lang? on: November 12, 2017, 10:51:33 PM

Sa tingin ko may point yung sinasabi mo, millenials are more likely to engage in this type of technologies. But Gen Y is also known as the Millenials, just saying baka malito lang mga tao.

Tama, karamihan ng mga Baby boomers at Gen X kasi nagdidisagree sa pagkita sa ganitong paraan kasi sinasabi nila na nauuso na ang hacking and scamming which is we can prevent through a lot of ways.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi wins! on: November 12, 2017, 10:13:59 PM
I've only been in crypto for about 6 months, and I gotta say, this weekends' insanity with btc vs. bch was pretty intense.

In the end, was it a chinese conspiracy theory designed to be a hostile takeover of btc?
Or was it just an elaborate pump and dump scheme?

Well, it looks like satoshi nakamoto wins in the end.  The idea of a decentralized currency that is controlled by us and not the powers that be has won over.
Despite bitcoins high transaction fees and long wait times, we have all essentially chosen btc as our king.
And I wonder, if bch was reall trying to takeover btc, is that even possible?
How many users of btc are there that has no idea about this crazy pump or even that bch exists?
Has btc gotten to the point where it has become so integrated in things that even if a different, better coin comes along, will that new coin even make a sound?
What about projects like iota, same decentralized idea but a radically different technology, will they be able to someday replace btc?
Kind of a crude analogy, but even though VHS was KING it was eventually replaced by dvd.

This is kind of confusing if you look how the people behind BCH said that it is a crypto currency based on the goal of Satoshi Nakamoto in the future if Satoshi didn't leave bitcoin behind. They implemented that goal but still, it is like not bitcoin at all. They are trying hard to pump this crypto but I think this is all they can do, make it pump for a day.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If every bitcoiner owns bitcoin cash, why all the fuss? on: November 11, 2017, 11:20:57 PM
Why does it matter if bitcoin cash over takes bitcoin, if everyone who owns bitcoin got free bitcoin cash coins? If bitcouin cash will be valued more, you will still have the money.

Why does it matter? Because we care, we don't want these alternative coin to best out bitcoin because bitcoin is the original and not BCH. We don't want those people behind the currency besides they are attracting miners which is their goal the reason the demand is going up now, not only that, those big shots are backing it so obviously it will be pumping up.
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we transfer to Bitcoin Cash now? on: November 11, 2017, 03:17:42 PM
It was all too sudden and I couldn't imagine why BCH would be like this. What happened to the BTC?What happened to the core team?I can't understand.BCH is clearly a altcoin, and I refuse to recognize BCH's position.

Well, crypto currencies are full of surprises. Many investors are now pushing bitcoin cash because they are saying it is the original and real bitcoin, even though it is not. It is clearly an altcoin, everyone knew that, it's just that, every people has it's own point of view. There is nothing wrong with the core team, it just that the demand of BCH gone up.

That means po, kapag magpopost ka as a newbie, dapat titigil ka muna for 6 minutes every post kasi magsasave lang yun as draft.
3954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2x continuing the fork ! on: November 11, 2017, 08:14:39 AM
Thought this fork was postponed indefintely?...its back on now?...If it solves a problem in the bitcoin blockchain then its a welcomed development

Nope, it is not back, it is gone. Why do we need someone back if it is gone, right? Let's just face what will happen in the future and do not need to go back in the past. And we all know most of the fork are not for "solving the blockchain's problem" but is mostly for "greed".
3955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN SERVER IS TURNED OFF on: November 11, 2017, 06:49:30 AM
My friend said he never hold bitcoin too long, because he is worried if Satoshi nakamoto turn off bitcoin server.
What do you think about it?

Wow, your friend is very informative and smart. I mean we have never thought of that? How old is he?8?  Roll Eyes

Satoshi Nakamoto left Bitcoin years ago and he don't have any involvement about bitcoin ever since that day.  The block chain cannot be turned off because it is just a chain of transaction made. It is open to everyone for years and never been shut down since 2009. Come on man, you can read a lot of information about bitcoin and block chain in the internet.
3956  Economy / Speculation / Re: $50,000 Bitcoin In The Next Couple Of Months? on: November 10, 2017, 11:28:05 PM

In his latest video, Mike Maloney ponders the questions 'Could Bitcoin hit $50,000 in the next couple of months?' and also, 'Is Bitcoin in a bubble and could it crash?' You may be surprised to hear how Mike answered these questions and the action he has taken accordingly.

Click here to watch this video:

https://mikemaloneyblog.blogspot.ca/2017/11/50000-bitcoin-in-next-couple-of-months.html

50 000$ it is a bit to optimistic but, i am positive that by the end of this year bitcoin will hit 10 000$ or it will be very close to it, so as we are used to, the evolution of bitcoin is spectacular.

I know right? But I think we must be talking this after the correction or maybe the dump that is happening right now. The price now is right back at $6700 which is $7000 the last day. If this continues to $5900 I don't think it will be hitting the $50 000 price mark, better hope for lower price like $10 000.
3957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid question on: November 10, 2017, 11:00:10 PM
If u buy alts with bitcoin does that makes the price go down of bitcoin. Where is the bitcoin going if u buy alts?  Huh   Cheesy

I know that if you think this question through, you can answer it. Since the price of bitcoin is based on the demand and supply, if people demanded altcoin over bitcoin, the price of bitcoin will surely go down. But many people are demanding bitcoin so the price will just go back and forth.

Altcoins are sold by the users also, so that is obvious that when you bought an alternative coin online, your bitcoin will be going into the deposit wallet of that user and he will just withdraw that out of the exchanger.
3958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: November 10, 2017, 02:13:07 PM
Anyone who has ever been or are in a committed relationship or marriage where both people gamble? Or in a relationship with a gambler with a friend, best friend, family related etc...  Knowing you are in it together is weird comforting and gives me some sort of undefined explanation.

What does that look like for you? Your experience needs to be heard.

I think these will be a possible couple since they can see here the "understanding" of one another. It is like how a gamer was attracted to another gamer. The thing here is they will not be focusing on their relationship most but on their addiction in which they will enjoy more because of another companionship of another gambling addict. I did not experience any relationship like this, but I know someone who do and these days, they are having a lot of problem with their relation mostly financial.
3959  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: BAKIT NA DEDELETE ANG IBANG POST? on: November 10, 2017, 01:19:26 PM
BAKIT BA NANAWALA YUNG IBANG POST? ANO BA IBIG SABIHIN NUN?

3960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: November 10, 2017, 12:57:27 PM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.

You have a point but the thing here is, bitcoin is the first crypto currency in the making, not only that but also because it has the highest price of them all. There is no way that bitcoin will be passed by Ethereum, we know that there is a lot more better than bitcoin and ethereum still they are still staying at their prices and keeping their values up because there are a lot of people demanding of there cryptos.
