3941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 55% of bitcoin circulating supply have not moved since 2018 on: March 17, 2021, 01:45:40 PM
Data have shown how more than half of bitcoin circulating supply have not been moved from their host wallet since the bitcoin deep of 2018, this have shown grreat length how die hard hodlers can go a long way down the road without moving they bitcoin from one wallet to another or to an exchange despite the current bitcoin market price.
At this moment those wallets have done 17× profits  and still the long term hodlers (LTH) are not given up on the race to becoming the steel hands bitcoin hoders.
Credit:
https://news.bitcoin.com/btcs-hands-of-steel-37-bitcoins-supply-hasnt-moved-2017-55-sat-idle-2018s-bottom/

The whales wait for the exact moment to cash out thier profits in the market. The prices wer low in 2018 after the market crash of 2017 and Bitcoin was tumbling between $8-$9k and the only option available with them was to HOLD until the right time and 2020 pandemic give boost to the prices and now see they are above $60k and their funds increased 8-9 times from initial investment. It was good move on the other hand as it would contribute more to the panic selling at that time. The also know about supply becoming scarce day by day and they want to have large part of Bitcoin with them.
3942  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automatic pattern recognition on: March 16, 2021, 01:39:24 PM
Hi everybody, can anybody suggest me a good platform for automatic pattern recognition?
Like able to spot falling wedges, ascending triangle etc.
As mentioned above by some our community members you can have trading bots which can make predictions for you taking market conditions, history charts and then suggest you best options to invest in.

Some trading bots on different Exchanges

But don't blindly follow them as they are just market predictors and they could be wrong.Use your knowledge combined with the information provided by them and use your smart work to make profits.
3943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH transaction fee! on: March 16, 2021, 01:28:49 PM
The Ethereum fees have major issue which is causing network congestion and transaction with even $100 dollars worth of Gas are not being confirmed and that is why developing team has fasten the work for ETH 2.0.But at this time your combined ERC-20 tokens value could not sum up your Gas? Really it's a major issue in ETH at this time which is why miners are shifting to other blockchain like Polkadot which have reduced all the issues faced in ETH network. The fees are drastically rising above the normal level and its time to shift some other reliable chains.
3944  Economy / Economics / Re: Dorsey to donate his 1st Tweet benefits to charity on: March 16, 2021, 12:14:07 PM
The starting bid for the NFT of Dorsey first ever tweet "Setting up my twiiter" was $2.5 million and auctioned by CEO of one of cryptocurrency firms. The bid is still ongoing and will end on 21st March and the amount will be donated to GiveDirectly. It is a nonprofit organization which allows donors to send money directly to people living in poverty around the world. So how much Dorsey have it's not easy to donate for some kind reasons and if he is doing so we need to appreciate it.All the billionaire around the globe can help to eradicate poverty but are they contributing towards it? No, so if someone is donating for noble cause we need to appreciate him rather than saying he have money to donate but he has big heart with money.
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signal app accepts Bitcoin Donations on: March 16, 2021, 12:04:58 PM
Well known privacy messaging app Signal started accepting Bitcoin and other crypto donations.
Many privacy oriented people like Edward Snowden and Jack Dorsey from Twitter are already using Signal and we know they are both supporting Bitcoin as well.

One thing I noticed on their donation page is that you can choose to donate with your full name and address or click the checkbox and donate anonymously, like I would suggest.
This is just one more small step in wider Bitcoin adoption. Wink

Quote
"As a nonprofit organization, we depend on your support. If you've been patiently waiting for Signal to accept cryptocurrency donations, you no longer need to hodl back your generosity.”
https://twitter.com/signalapp/status/1371495831199567872

It was one of the main decision taken by the secret encrypted messenger app Signal which is an NPO and funds would be used for development of Signal Technologies Foundation the company behind the app.The anonymous donation feature is very important part as you can donate without revealing your Indentity. The signal app has top the list of most downloaded apps in both Android and IOS because of security features after Facebook new policies. The signal app was in talks with Binance to test payment features on Mobilecoin. They have now officially announced crypto donations in 13 different currencies including Bitcoin and now it will have affect on share prices of Signal app after this decision.
3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Crypto Carbon Tax? on: March 16, 2021, 11:55:17 AM
Who thinks that multiple countries will end up imposing a carbon tax on crytocurrency owners & miners? If this is done, what would happen to the price of BTC? Do you think bitcoin would make changes to adapt (like ending mining sooner than 2140)? Would Bitcoin be secure with fewer miners?

https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2021-01-26/is-bitcoin-mining-worth-the-environmental-cost
Imposing such taxes would be impractical by the government's because miners are already paying taxes in the form of profits and then you pay for the electricity you are using. The governments can increase the cost of electricity for miners which can reduce profits but still it would not compromise the Bitcoin mining network because btc prices will also be high at that time covering loss of miners.Ukraine has recently started a nuclear plant for Bitcoin mining how much heat and carbon it will ommit think of it? They are also exploiting natural and human resources to mine crypto and Bitcoin so they would not be imposing such taxes in near future.
3947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pancakeswap and other DeFi is under attack! Be careful! on: March 15, 2021, 05:23:02 PM
Most of the DeFi website especially PancakeSwap is is being hijack right now. Don't put your privatekey / recovery seed right and wait for the official announcement of the project when all is clear now. Your funds is safe as long you didn't login on the website. Keep safe!

Official Tweet: https://twitter.com/PancakeSwap/status/1371471934999777281
Such types of attack do not concern over blockchain but rather they are attacks on the domain names of the clients browser. The attacker corrupts a DSN server by replacing a legitimate IP address in the server’s cache with that of another, rogue address in order to redirect traffic to a malicious website, collect information or initiate another attack which is also called Cache poisoning.Pancakeswap was being overrated due to the DeFi projects but it still lags in many aspects which need to be taken care of.
3948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start the trading and how to lean the tardine. on: March 15, 2021, 04:20:16 PM

The first and foremost step in crypto trading is open an account on any legit Exchange of your choice. For example if you want to open Binance account follow the steps mentioned here :

Guide on how to open Binance Account

Then you can start trading by depositing your funds with them and they will add the funds to your account in their database managed by them and then you can trade on any cryptos listed over Binance or any other exchange you are using. But remember one thing trade only with knowledge, skills and don't blindly follow certain trade group signals and invest in shitcoins available in the market. You can have a look at various threads on this forum which give a complete beginners guide in trading and then slowly gain experience and try to diversify your portfolio with top coins that can depreciate your risk.Rest mistakes and loss will give you knowledge how to trade.
3949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Think before investing, the moon has limits on: March 15, 2021, 04:09:09 PM
Whenever the prices are rising everyone says we miss the opportunity to invest at low price levels and if we have done investment earlier we would be enjoying profits now.On the opposite side of the coin when market is witnessing crash or dip those who want to invest gets panic due to FUD's spreading in the market and again losse the chance of investing at that time.People will always make excuses no matter how much you explain them to invest in btc.So its their personal choice of investment and time to invest or not. They are just missing the train to the moon and will see others travel to the destination who have made investments at this time.
3950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about the Old coins? on: March 15, 2021, 03:52:21 PM
Hello Guys,

Coins on top for 2017 like EOS, VET, ZEC, DASH, NANO, XTZ...
Can they compete with existing coins like DOT, LINK, coins on DEfi.

Should I invest in old coins?

Old coins could not complete with the new altcoins available in the market because they could not cope up with the technical updation of the new DeFi projects coming in the market. There are variety of coins based on Ethereum blockchain or some other blockchain which are ruling the market at the current. Moreover there are very few investors willing to invest in old coins Dash,Nano which is why they are not witnessing any growth. The investors have greed of profits and invest in only those coins which are in news these days.DOT coin of Polkadot blockchain have great future ahead and prices are rising due to innovate blockchain technology spread over shards like bridging chain. So you need to move with the market trends if you want to be in profits otherwise holding on the same coins will not give you any substantial growth on your portfolio.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is preparing to wind down blockchain-related mining on: March 15, 2021, 03:41:13 PM
The hashrates have already reduced and miners are shifting to other places for mining and China is moving down the list of key players of Bitcoin mining. They have already said such things a lot of times and introduction of China CDBC digital Yuan which will have no utility in future.A report suggest mining rates in china are reducing drastically due to such problems by the Chinese Government to the crypto enthusiast residing there instead of collecting huge taxes from them.Bitcoin mining cannot be stopped unless 2140 when 21 million coins will be mined inspite of any actions taken by government across the globe as miners will find a optimistic solutions for them globally.
3952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc will be 120000 USD maximum this 2021 on: March 15, 2021, 03:29:28 PM
I have researched and its my personal research. as per the conclusion . BTC will be 120K in this bull run. But if a government ban or somthing happended it may vary.

How about your thoughts?
Your speculations are much higher compared to the predictable outcomes which states that even after surviving crash and dips btc prices will rise to $70-$80k by the end of 2021.What calculations you are using for such speculations I don't know and you can share on this forum your thought and trade expert can correct if you are wrong. Moreover if a particular Country with large crypto users take a step to ban Bitcoin then it could have negative affects on prices for short period otherwise no significant effect on prices will ocuur if the decision is made by less crypto friendly country which most probably don't need such types of bans as they don't have much users. So $120k is still far away from this year expectations as you are expecting 100% growth which have less chances this year but 2022 its for sure to have such prices.
3953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need some suggestions regarding Bitcoin on: March 14, 2021, 05:32:32 PM
I'm someone who's very new to btc. I started investing last week. Last week I purchased some amount of BTC at $49k and sold them this week at $57k. I was planning to do the same thing for this week. What I really did, was that I checked the trends, and the price of btc used to go up during the weekdays and go down during the weekends, so I bought it when it was at its lowest (in the week), and sold them  on Friday (a considerably higher price).
But the price of a btc at the moment is $59500. I wanted to ask you all for suggestions here. Should I purchase some btc now or should I wait for the price to drop? I want to hold for cycles of 1-2 weeks at a time.
Will btc go up from what it is at the moment in the next 1-2 weeks? If yes, what price would it be (just make a guess/prediction) by the end of the week/2 weeks?
This strategy could end you in huge losses because the price volatility in btc is very high and weekly price ups and down is very risky way to measure price trends.Yiu should instead buy at dips when prices move 7-8% downwards and then sell when they rise by 12-13% whatever time it takes week, month or so and then sell which will give you profits for sure covering your loss.Make strategy according to the market reaction not based on just coincidence that you have faced in Bitcoin prices. This is very risky market and one bad move puts you in complete loss situation so be aware of risk associated with your plans.
3954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $50k: Looking back at the price perspective on: March 14, 2021, 04:48:03 PM
Those who have Hold it when the prices were low to even $20k which was 2017 ATH are now in profit buckets because it's not easy to hold as it looks. They have invested at high or say peak prices but does it even matter at $60000 when they have 4* their intial investment without any extra charges in just 3 years of time. And the whales who were initial players in Bitcoin market in 2011 are now sitting on piles of funds with them and they are even investing now at the dips to gain profits. After 5 years you will be posting same picture with $60k as past memories and regretting not to invest at that time when prices will be at $200k per coin.So be part of it.
3955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are NFT Tokens booming? FOMO? on: March 14, 2021, 02:27:27 PM
I am wondering why are NFT tokens so hot right now?
The gains in the last week are pretty significant.
I cant imagine everyone running to play some NFT supported video game or really wanting to spend alot of money on buying digital art etc.

So is this insane rally based on  Hype and FOMO?

Do you predict the price rally will cool off and  retrace  soon?

Yes we can say that NFT's are hyped at this time due to digital artworks being sold in million dollars in NFT and Jack Dorsey also auctioned his first tweet as NFT.They are another new trend in the market which is boosting the DeFi projects in the chain but we can witness slow growth of NFT when this FOMO comes to an end. They have gained popularity only because of social media news and painting sold at highly extensive prices but it has no growth options.
3956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 14, 2021, 02:08:10 PM
Hello guys,

What are some solid sources of information you are using to take trading decisions?
I am new into Bitcoin/crypto trading and I'm pretty much basing all my decisions on what I read on CoinDesk and what I hear on the Ledger Cast podcast.

3958  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Play to earn btc. on: March 14, 2021, 01:48:50 PM
I don't know the credibility of their claims, but i have come across quite a number of games online, where you are asked to play to earn btc, lol.

Have you come across any games like that?
If so, did you really earn any btc?

There are certain casino outside there which let's user earn Bitcoin or some other altcoins just by playing games available on their platform. But the rewards are very low even if you play for long hours and there are certain regulations like KYC to withdraw your funds, limitations to specific amount that can be withdrawn. But the most important is why they are paying you btc or some other coins just for playing games?
The reason is if they are legit casinos or any service provider paying you in btc they are earning from you.Thats right.

1) Revenue from ads: Whenever you play games there are certain ads popping on your screen in between and whenever you click on them the casinos get paid from them and you cannot play games with adblocker on your browser. Each time you click on the add they are earning and paying you fraction out of it.

2) When they want to promote themselves they distribute free coins which in turn came back in the form of deposit by the new members which join the casino

So you can say that there is nothing free in this world. You pay for it to get it.

BTC will go crazy up today
First Batch of $1,400 Stimulus Checks Hit Bank Accounts Starting Today [Suspicious link removed]j.com/articles/bidens-1-400-stimulus-checks-hit-bank-accounts-starting-today-11615590107

400 billion dollars being sent out Wink
It's one of the main reason for insane prices rises in Bitcoin and standing at ATH of $61k today on CMC.The other reason being huge investment by the big institutions like MicroStrategy,Tesla investment which have push the prices further. This stimulus will also affect the prices as people will be buying more cryptos with the new dollars printed by the government as the bill has been passed for billion dollars and US citizens could flood the market with investment as crypto like Bitcoin giving huge returns in such short span of time is no joke for them.We will see prices soon to $100k or so just have faith.
