3941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs, what we can do? on: May 18, 2020, 11:24:00 AM
what can we do with this situation? we can only warn other users, if we know there is an ICO that leads to fraud. because ICO is a scam and no it's still hanging around and ready to prey on it ..
It is absolutely true, there is only few things which we can do. Firstly we can share our experiences for warning other users to be careful about that. ICO is most popular about fraud and that is fact people don't still trust on ICO, but it doesn't mean there is not any good ICO project.

It was only exposed as fraud after the bull run, people are already losing money because they got hype investing in ICO and in existing altcoins, and if people experience the last bull run, they will also witness how the altcoins made their ATH, and actually I made some money during that time but I still have some kind of regret for not selling all my assets, I was wrong to hold it.
3942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: May 18, 2020, 10:56:42 AM
Like for example if you are a Basketball fan for long time, maybe you can at least have bigger chance of winning if you bet in sportsbet specially if the team is your favorite.

Wrong example, if that is only the basis to succeed in gambling, then definitely sports betting will not be challenging for the sports betting.
The sad reality is, when always bet on your favorite team, you are likely to lose, because it will make you bias and you'll not be able to analyze it realistically since you are bias.
3943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: May 15, 2020, 01:31:06 PM
1. Skill-based -
2. Chance-based -
The problem with these two strict categories is that no skills games are pure skill. It also contains luck in it. How many % skill and % chance should we put the game into a skill or chance-based game?
You can compute the skills but you can't on the luck..
Just give you best to improve your skills so you don't need to rely on your luck all the time.

When you are a skilled gambler, you are likely treating what you do as a job, you are professionally handling it, and you keep a record of your performance when gambling, but most importantly, you choose the right game for you that does not belong a luck based games. (with house edge).

This situation also makes a game like a poker illegal in some parts of the country but legal for the rest.

Poker is gambling, a certain country does not choose a certain game to legalized or not, if its illegal the they regulate it generally and they make gambling illegal, just like in China I guess.

3944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: May 15, 2020, 01:12:21 PM
I don't track my gambling data cause it's a hassle for me and I think it's not justifiable for me to record my own gambling data.

Why it isn't? If you are gambling with the purpose of improving yourself so you can be profitable in the long run, then tracking your bets is a must, that would give you a big picture and you'll be able to analyze things clearly.

Maybe he doesn't understand why it might be useful.
I believe that keeping records of your losses and winnings can be useful for rational financial accounting and proper management of your money. And it will also help to stop a person's addiction to gambling for those who lose a lot of money.

Keeping track of your gambling money may give you advantage to have a close look at your profit & loss and play gambling with care but at the same time if takes away the fun of gambling from you. You will be more concern about your financial gain or loss and will not be able to enjoy the gambling.

So don't people gamble to try their luck and make money? I remember my first win at roulette. I was a student then and won the amount of my two monthly scholarships. I was overcome with emotion.

It doesn't take a lot of time to record your final statistics and you can do it after the end of the gambling game.

To be able to ensure that the stats are realistic, you need to play a lot of session in a certain game so you can analyze properly and to determine if you are consistent already to go with bigger bets, but in your case, you are playing roulette, this is a luck based type of game, you don't need statistics for this.
3945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: May 15, 2020, 12:48:12 PM
I mostly play skill-based games and if we are talking about fighting boredom skill-based game is the best choice you have since every game takes a lot of time compared
to chance-based games and will require your attention and is also enjoyable if you are playing to another competitive gambler.

I think it still depends on the game you played, dice is not a skilled base games but actually there are gamblers who even gamble hours on it.
Unlike in sports betting where I can certain consider a skilled based gambling, it does take me one hour to gamble, just analyze the game and put your bet, and you don't need to watch the game as you only need to look for the final result of the game to determine if you win or lose.

I also bet on sports and I feel it's not a kind of game that stresses me out, unlike when you stay for hours in front of your computer playing those fun games that would cause some addiction sometimes, in sports, though its also possible you'll get addicted but you can share some conversation with your friends who loves sports and gambling at the same time, sharing your analysis and even if you only bet one game, it would already create an interesting discussion sharing your thoughts on a certain game.
3946  Economy / Economics / Re: Get ready for more tax. Save your BTC! on: May 15, 2020, 12:09:21 PM
Though Bitcoins are not regulated in the Philippines there are these applications that we use to transfer and use bitcoins efficiently which has fees.
When the government regulate, it is not only limited to bitcoin but the general market which is the crypto.

here (https://news.bitcoin.com/48-cryptocurrency-exchanges-philippines/) we can see that 48 crypto exchanges approved in the Philippines, that pretty much explain that it's legal in your country.
3947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: May 15, 2020, 11:56:17 AM
If you asked the same question few years back. I would say ethereum is better.

Same here, I saw how big the improvement of ETH is that time but when ICO was not getting money from investors anymore, ETH is slowly losing its popularity and struggle to rise until now. While BNB are proving a lot to us, it's a company or a project that are not only good with hype but they are so good with giving results and that is the reason why people trusted them a lot.

so if ETH has reach over $1000, I don't have any doubt that BNB could possibly do the same... it's just a matter of time I believe.
3948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vaccine against Covid-19 should be made before sports events will take place? on: May 14, 2020, 10:08:53 PM
~snip~.............if the positive case of the virus is reduced by 90%.

I think it will certainly take time and no sports will be allowed since 90% is a high target.
The only way to make it possible in a short period of time is the vaccine, without it, it's unlikely to happen.

Think of the scenario in the US, let's say US has 1 million infected people, so that would mean 900K should be cured for their sports to be allowed to start.
3949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not follow every market wave on: May 14, 2020, 09:39:05 PM
Though that recommendation of you is right but there are still people who are really doing the same mistakes over and over.

I've been using a very simple strategy that I know everyone can do if they just believe that the trend for now will not be broken.
For years, I've been buying at dip and sell at peak without looking back, of course I don't want to be greedy.

now you can ask me how did I do that, of course with proper timing based on your own evaluation of the market, and I would say I am not right all the time but as long as I right most of the time, that all matters to me.
3950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: May 14, 2020, 09:14:03 PM
However,  when gambling adrenalin and hunger for money that people can't control very often lead to  addiction and many players are not even aware of this.
Awareness does not mean people can easily control themselves or do the right thing.
I believe most gamblers are aware of the risk, and some even are aware that they are already addicted to it, however, they are just not strong enough to kill that addiction so it leads to a bigger problem, from slight addiction which suppose to be can easily stop and it grows into a serious one.

This means not everyone has the discipline in gambling, so without discipline, we should probably prevent from doing it than go for a cure when addicted.
3951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: May 14, 2020, 08:13:49 AM
What do you think the WazirX token will make x10?  Roll Eyes
I don't invest in Wazirx but people say that WazirX will reach 5x if Altcoin season comes,
I don't know if they're just bullshit or if the development of the project is good,

You have to make a decision based on what you believe not because people says the price will rise.
Giving our opinion or prediction is free, but we cannot ensure that it will happen, though they say WariX is good, but you need to confirm it by making your own research.
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth. When!? on: May 14, 2020, 07:57:39 AM
When will you buy eth again?
Now?
When halving begin?
After halving?
Thanks
Wait for ETH to fall to the prices of $ 175 and $ 155 to buy more. There are two levels of support which are quite strong and we can divide the capital to buy ETH at these two areas. Because I think the market will have to collapse again to lose investor confidence, after that it can pump up so strongly that no one can buy at a good price. so we should set the order for these prices and if bought, then hold for 6 months. Surely we will be profitable.

What if it will not dump anymore, it looks like ETH is already going back to $200 now. Vitalik announced the launch of the ETH 2.0 by July, people should start buying and just forget getting a price below $200 as for sure ETH will result to a significant rise due to the upcoming hype, maybe soon or probably by next month.
3953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Before Experience On Gambling...!!!! Stay Safe. on: May 14, 2020, 07:31:53 AM

Gambling is not a hypnosis but its more likely a trap, once you get trapped then its not possible to get out from it without others help so that is why we have to stay away from the trap.

How can it be a trap? you are just the one who are making it a trap.
The thing is, when we are gambling, we are in control of ourselves, we make the call and we make the decision.

now, if you are not responsible, you go with your feelings, and you get addicted in the end.

Whom you will blame? gambling or you?
3954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did Covid-19 affect crypto gambling? on: May 13, 2020, 11:28:01 PM
It's hard to get the exact effect because these data can only be acquired from the crypto casinos and they are not publishing it.

Here's my simple analysis..

people are struggling financially due to the covid-19 pandemic, but there are people who are still winning to gamble, maybe if we will based it on the financial struggle, money spent in gambling will be reduce but we also have to look at the bright side as gamblers on land based casino are now going into online gambling since we know they are close at the moment, so it's just some kind of ( clients = deduct + add)... I mean there's a little effect negatively.

overall they'll survive and might grow over time.
3955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: May 13, 2020, 10:57:52 PM
^^ That would be great if Arum will get Inoue so that we can finally see the fight that we all have been waiting for this year. Yes, this will be just a trial basis for Top Rank, I'm sure that they are boxers on the lower tier willing to accept just to earn in this new boxing norm. Boxing authorities (state athletic commissions, boxing organisers and bodies) should come up with a clear guidelines and regulations before allowing this to happen.

Though this bout is not only promoted by Top Rank but Arum has a lot of influence in the US so it's really good for Manny to team up with Arum in promoting the fight. His statement seems very convincing, then for sure we can expect this to happen.

Inoue vs Casimero, this is a good fight, and a big fight since Inoue the beast is a high rank pound for pound boxer.

of different ranking - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_pound_for_pound_rankings

he always get into the top 5. Smiley
3956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bad days for crypto on: May 13, 2020, 01:22:32 PM
It seems to me that now, on the contrary, the days in the crypto market are improving, after halving Bitcoin, the market has not fallen very much, so the market may recover faster and soon may start to rise again.

if there are doubts about crypto is very regrettable, because crypto is currently very in a position to improve, it is true what colleagues above say.
doubt with crypto is wrong in responding to what actually happened, crypto actually has begun to recover and continue to improve. there is no reason not to join crypto, because it will only bring regret later.

Crypto refers to the general market, this includes the shit coins as well, and it's just right to doubt them as the word shit coins means they have no future, they are just created to scam the investors that has no or lack of knowledge about crypto investing.
3957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: May 13, 2020, 01:01:00 PM
Yes, I agree with you. In the trading, crypto or forex trading, we really need to have experience and skills to get the right coins so we can make a profit.

And that will not be the same as gambling.

If you think that gambling is based on luck, you would not really think that you can also consider gambling as a way like in trading where you can analyze  the game, the game that I am referring are not games that are played based on luck only, games with house edge because we can never win consistently in games with house edge, I am referring to sports betting and poker as well.
3958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash A Better Crypto To Invest? on: May 13, 2020, 12:03:45 PM
In my opinion bitcoin cash is a good coin, it follows the trend of bitcoin like when bitcoin goes up then bitcoin cash will also go up. It can double the price if bitcoin increase at 50 percent.

There is no doubt that BCH will rise and will double its value from its current value now.

Actually, if Bitcoin will double its price in the future, maybe we can see more increase from BCH,.. just imagine that if bitcoin is going to be near its ATH, BCH could at least rise to $1k since its ATH was over $3k.. well, that's just my simple analysis.
3959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: May 13, 2020, 11:16:17 AM
People don't want to give projects some time to grow, they forget that coins like dash, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin etc have a rough start, I'm just saying crypto investment takes years, just because a project drop in value doesn't mean they won't grow better in future.

Projects don't just turn huge in a year, there will be lots of volatility and price loss, for long term hold be prepared, if you can't then go for top coins

All the projects you mentioned have big communities. Investors can wait forever, but if there is no strong community behind that project, than it won't go anywhere.

So, the holders need to make sure the project's community is also growing.

With the big competition in the market, no community will grow if the team alone will not work on the project.
Investors are not really loyal to what they are investing now, they will always look for a better coin that would give a better profit in the long run.

If the team can't stand the test, then there is no chance that they'll survive.
3960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: May 13, 2020, 10:59:27 AM
After the virus has been defeated, I won't go to casino immediately, I will take some time, cause I’m not a gambling addict. So, I've decided that I will go for a short tour after the quarantine period, cause really, I’m very tired for this quarantine.  Sad

I think casinos will do it by default. Enough time will be spent closed to explicitly exclude the possibility of infection of the premises.
Although it is impossible to say unequivocally that all casinos will do this, because every day of isolation they lose profit.

When we say defeat, we are talking that the cure is already invented and there is a vaccine available that time already.
Therefore, there is no risk anymore so we can go anywhere we go, even in a casino, and that would also mean that our life will be back to normal.

However, if we are talking about the quarantine is over and casino can operate but with social distancing, then I guess people will think wisely before going to a casino since the threat is still out their and personally I won't enjoy gambling in a casino wearing mask or social distancing.
