There's GOTTA be some truth mixed in with the Russian propaganda. Otherwise the people would all see through it!

Ever wonder why an Almighty would need "your help" for something?
Well... ALL of the known Gods do. That alone is the biggest flaw of them all.

He doesn't "need" anything. He allows us to live and act as a gift, to us!   Cheesy

I mean, you give gifts to your gerbils, don't you?

people are full of flaws).

So are the God(s) described on known religions, making them nothing but human imagination.

Of course, maybe none of the God(s) are flawed, and the only flaws lie in the people who think They are flawed.

If god does exist, it cannot be defined.

My wife does not exist, but I can still define her as someone would be married to me.

If that goofy little picture at the left of your posts is anything like what you are like, I can't imagine anyone else wanting her.

The Laws of Thermodynamics are the Laws of "Heat Power." Magnetism and electricity are not heat processes. A magnet can create force from nothing.

But are we sure of this. After all, the Higgs Boson is said to be a particle that holds everything together. Now, how can a particle do that!!!??? So, maybe there is more to magnetism than creating force from nothing.

Let me put this straight, a thing to be a thing has to have the characteristics of the thing.
If you have a small animal that barfs, you wouldn't call it a cat. If you have a small bush you wouldn't call it a tree. Same goes for God. Something to be God has to meet the "Godly requirements".

Yeah well that's the problem... as no "god" has been caught in the wild yet, nobody knows what it's characteristics (and thus requirements) are... back to square zero Undecided

Of course, since there isn't any pure random, but only cause and effect, action and reaction, there isn't really any wild.

Neat look. But think of how much wood was sheared off those logs to get them all to be the same size. Only the wealthy 3% can afford this.

Look, one that beleves in Allah says that Katholics are bad, vica-versa.
Fact is that they all did bad  things, and that will remain forever, people form they'r religions in a shape or form that fits them best.

In the case of the religion of ancient Israel - the one that is the foundation for all Christianity - God formed the religion for the people. The Bible is record of both, the religion that God formed, and how the people reacted to it over the ages (about 1,500 years).

People are people. We see people from all over the world reacting to God's religion in all the same ways that the ancient Israel people did.

39494  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 17 standard portions of the democracy on: October 09, 2014, 09:38:55 AM
democracy is a system of the people, by the people and for the people, democracy is made to menganyomi interests of the people, the democratic system is expected to run people's rights are not ignored by the ruler, the ruler of the mandate of the people are supposed to run with the full benefit of the people in accordance with existing legislation .. hopefully this becomes the full attention of the authorities in all countries ...  Roll Eyes

American government is not a democracy. The idea that it is, is propaganda preached by politicians, the media, and even many schools. American government is a republic. There is a big difference.

The Power Elite of the world would like America to become a democracy. And it is only because people don't realize or understand the common law that America often acts like a democracy. But so far, there is all kinds of legal resource to sue the police officer's bond in his official capacity, and at the same time as a man in his "human" capacity, for things that he does wrong.

Did the guy who was killed have relatives? He was their property as much as they were his. The cop can't give them their property back. But he may owe them.

The cop was off duty. He instigated a brawl. The other guys should sue him, in his capacity as a man, for trespass on their freedom. Learn how to do it by watching/listening to the videos/audios in the links below:

If you are preaching hate on a religion you are also sowing hatred to the people that believe in it.
Show me in the bible where it states it is allowed to hate other religions. I had a conversation with a couple of Jehovah Witnesses about 3 weeks ago and it was one of the friendliest conversations for one and a half hour I have had with strangers. I did not feel any hatred from them and they even gave me a copy of a bible for free.

Hating a religion isn't necessarily preaching hate on the people of that religion. But it might be.

Consider the Revelation where Jesus says to the church in Ephesus, "But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate."

Perhaps St. Paul never said, "I hate such and such religion." But he certainly showed it by vigorously trying to convert people from all other religions to Christianity. Barely did he preach against a particular religion. Probably never did he use the words, "I hate ...," but you can't get much stronger hate for religions at the same time there was love and hope for the people of those religions. His actions showed it.

Further, when the people of any religion that is not the truth, will not turn from the falsehood, they have become a part of it. So, it is not the people that are being hated. It is the religion in them that is being hated.

Consider war... Vietnam. Our guys finally hated "them" because they were killing our guys. Perhaps we were not justified in being there, but there was hate on both sides. The creed of the soldier is to do what it takes to win the goal. This is very much like the theme of every religious creed. The fact that their are friendships made between enemies at times, and the fact that there are peaceful negotiations being done at times, doesn't lessen the hate at other times.

Christianity has been at war with Islam for hundreds of years. Many Muslims have converted to Christianity. There is no hate for them. It is for the religion that there is hate. But if they persist ...

EDIT: Jehovah's Witness is a Christian denomination, not a separate religion.

Religions... Tongue

There are things you do religiously. Some of them are habits. Some of them you do at the same time everyday. Some of them you think about; some of them you don't. Together they comprise your personal religion.

Don't we have writings from both Pontious Pilate and whichever Caesar was ruling at the time of Jesus' death, that describe Him as being blonde?

Smiley

No, we don't... before 300 a.D. there's zip references to Jesus from the Roman authorities. Other than killing early Christians since around 70 a.D., but that's another thing, and doesn't equal to evidence of whatever is stated in the bible.

Good. You checked it out then. Because I had read this, but I never checked it in detail.

Thanks.

I think at some point it is our second home, new home

We'll never make it. The economy is on the verge of a gigantic collapse. I would hate to be among those that went with the idea that a return ship would bring me back.

If we get there at all, and if those who are there aren't self sustaining when the crash comes, they will die young.
