Received note today! I am pleasantly surprised how nice this note is..thankyou Have you looked at it under a blacklight? They are watermarked too! I'm trying to get more for different projects. What do you think about the binding procedure ? PoB Wish I had a black light but sadly do not. Did not know they had a watermark....what are these notes made of? Please clarify..binding procedure? You mean the godl strip?

I have 2 of those physical stamps in my hands (already sweep 1 to test the redemption process) hence I can answer your questions.
Every stamp has in plain view the QR code and a 6 digit characters string. By either scanning the QR code or putting the 6 characters to the crypto stamps official website, you can see the colour (rarity) of the stamp. Hence, anyone having a physical stamp (or a picture of it) can determine the colour of it. In order to move/sweep/transfer the digital token to your own wallet, you need to scratch an area in the stamp, where the 12 words seed token private key is revealed. Every card is loaded with 1 token + a small amount of ETH (for transaction fees purposes). The above mentioned URL, provides a nice friendly user interface, where you can very easily sweep the token just by entering the 12 seed words + providing you public ETH addy. Alternatively you can load the private key (12 seed words) to any ETH supported wallet, and perform the same process manually.
Tl;dr: you cannot transfer the token, unless you scratch the area and reveal the private key. However anyone can easily view the included digital token in each physical card.
Those eBay listings that claims that you will get 10 random crypto stamps, are just liars (unless they didn't bother to scan the QR codes)
Thanks for clarifying all of this. Again if i were to buy off of ebay..which I have...i am not looking or expecting the rarer colors...just getting the black stamp stamp is good enough for me...people should not expect to get a red stamp that way. I did order a few from the postal website prior to being sodl out...if i get any other color besides black..that would be nice...if not i will still be happy.

Not sure but wasn’t there more than 5 min between my bid @ 12:01:47 and the next bid?
Your right..your the winner

Yes he is...unless your buying and not worrying about color..they will come out to $20 each.

I think getting a red stamp on first day cover will be the rarest of them all. First day covers are only sodl thru post office and thus are truly random imo.

|
|
Thats what I'm saying...ANY re-seller already knows what color it is...the table is slanted ...Buyers Beware!
I bought some first day covers off ebay and was not expecting anything but the black stamps. For the other colors i bought a few random thru the post office. As for ever making a set...what are the odds? I think if you really want all colors you buy the sets available...and yes they are very expensive but at least your guaranteed you have a set. Only 1500 will ever be able to be made .

So, once someone gets the stamp, they can scan the QR Code to see which COLOR they've gotten. How would we know that sellers never scanned this already and know that it's a dud, and just want to off load it? No one here would appreciate that being done to them, I'm sure....since this is so new.... glad that I've found out some things....
seller in ebay elysiumae:
Hello, they have the size of a credit card and they all look the same from the outside and in their physical / analog form. If you scan the QR code you see which color and limitation they have. The people from the post office dont let you scan the QR codes, so every stamp is a surprise and you never know which one you get. The keys are hidden and you can scratch them clear. My random sets are not pre-scanned.
elysiumae:
No, if you scan the QR code in front of the card you just see the actual color of the digital stamp, which has a certain limitation. The ETH are hidden under a field which you can scratch clear. If you have the physical stamp you hold the public and private keys.
The ebay sellers know...there are people selling different colors and full sets....the post office ones sodl are random.

I still have absolutely no confirmation that they are the 5 flavours. I’m just assuming so and hoping that they deliver, Austrian style. Ahh I see....Just went on the site again....I think they are all SODL out..I cannot find the stamp to buy! I placed an order two days ago with no problem...but now they are gone!

I ordered via the website, literally moments after you opened the topic. E-mailed them later on saying that - as a crypto collector - I would very much value a set. If you guys decide on a 100+ order group buy, I might fly to Austria and grab them from the post offices, assuming that they are still available. That's great...I was under the impression they only sodl them randomly.

I’m so happy I got a set! @WhyFhi, Y it’s the official Austrian Post website. Niiice! Did you buy it from the official website? Or did you get from ebay? I know people are buying a lot of stamps from site in hopes of securing a set.

So is the website you posted in op valid to purchase from?
Yes it is!

Ok...what is the best app to scan the stamps received to see what color they are! Calling all you Mr Robots out there...

Wow, it really came out nice! Will we get to see it hanging on the wall with other collectibles? I have it hanged already but will need to re arrange them in a nice neat way. When I find the time will do just that and take a photo too.
