You're forgetting between week 35 and week 73 LV8 only had nine UID's he trusted, so he was self discounted from eligibility.  (and even then the nine he choose were safe DT1's)

Last of the V8s is doing exactly what peloso is doing, he is just doing it more tactfully.

*Ahem*

Nice to see you good people have caught up to where I was weeks ago:

Looks like Last of the V8s is trying to emulate Peloso: (Hot on the heels of giving me distrust simply for asking him what his thoughts were in wanting to be a merit font).  Not very trustworthy behaviour.

Remind me why you're on DT?

Trying to find escrows to handle games that would be over in ?? minutes when the conversing alone might take hours.  If you engaged a "two of three" wallet then that *might* speed up the process.

There *was* an automated escrow site the used this method, but got taken down on it's first run due to a scam.  Shame really.  I don't know of any other sites that do this method of automated escrow.
3965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 26, 2020, 11:26:47 PM
Real blitz is 5 minutes swiss blitz or 3 minutes game (for each move you have few seconds and you don't have chance for a mistake). 10 minutes it's "fast chess".

I've tried some of those online chess sites - I hadn't realised the players expect the game to be over in a matter of minutes and they get very aggressive in the Troll Boxes if you actually stop to think about your moves for a few seconds.

The scary thing is we don't know when we are going to die

Other than people hospitalised with a terminal disease or a person on "death row" (or on battle fields) we usually don't know when we're going to die.  Imagine being told you have years to live, not bothering to get a Will drawn up much less bother to put in place a Crypto handover then being involved in a car crash and dying before you can put any of those plans in place.

Now it's my turn for a silly question, are

Code:

and

Code:
0xfF51E940D457387A7aCf5AeCFB04E1E33f69E869

the same given the capitalisations are different?  I admit I don't know too much about those types of wallet addresses, but I always thought the capitalisations made a difference.

I like this forum because we are many, if our population is reduced to thousands from the present millions,

Although there are well over two million (and closing in on three million) registered users here on bitcointalk, the actual numbers of day-to-day participation is closer to around ten thousand UID's (and that includes all the scammers with the farmed accounts)
3969  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Make it just a little more difficult to create a new account. on: June 26, 2020, 02:01:11 AM
Another suggestion I'd agree with is to withdraw the Copper Membership in it's entirety - Newbies just see it as a fast track to post with images and then boost their accounts with bells and whistles while lacking substance in their posts.
They risk losing $24 by buying a Copper Membership and getting it banned. I don't think they'll keep buying new Memberships.

You can make $24 in one week participating in a SigCamp.

Registering by email or phone number will not solve the problems with fraud. There are many services on the Internet with temporary emails and phone numbers, they are either free or very cheap.

Not to mention the temporary phone number services already offered here in the bitcointalk forum "services" sub-section and probably other places, less obvious.

Time to fire up the popped-corn machine...

@lovesmayfamilis  -- Zemomtum and Vicoma are husband and wife, you can cross-check our profile, other findings can also be done on the internet for further verification. This username and profile pictures are not just uploaded recently to defend this accusation. We run and manage airdrop website together and do participate in the bounty program.

@Zemomtum feel free to scroll back through this thread and you will see numerous other people claiming to be married, engaged, parent, sibling, cougar and cub (that last one I made up Wink ) and each and every time the answer will be that we don't have any way to verify that assertion.  Not really, given how much is fake online with regards to identity theft.

Whether you are, or are not, related doesn't matter.  Your accounts are connected in the evidence presented by @lovesmayfamilis - the harder you sequel, the harder those in this thread will see that you are one and the same person, not two.

By the way @Zemomtum - your own words give you away, you say Vicoma is male, but then *you* ( Zemomtum ) say "she is the mother of our children..."

3972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Poker Odds Calculator is a Perfect Tool for Poker? on: June 26, 2020, 01:16:39 AM
I thought about this: let's say you have AA in your arms. You go allin. And according to the odds calculator, your odds are ~ 90% (I didn’t check, I just guess as this information is not important for further discussion). But your real chances are less because if someone answers you, he (presumably) will have a stronger hand than the "average" with respect to which the chances are calculated.
I'm right?

You can have AA the guy next to you AK and I'm holding 93 (my two cards are the same suit).

AA goes all in, the flop is QJ7 (the J7 are the same suit as my 93 so I call)

AK goes all in on the turn with a ten (AK now has all four suits)

on the river I get a suited card 5 so out of the three of us I win with a flush beating the unsuited straight and the lonely pair of AA's (my highest card is the Jack).

Waiting to see what cards come out goes a long way to determining whether or not to go all in no matter how attractive the cards might look.

From my point of view, AK could have just as easily had 98 making a queen high unsuited straight, but I still know that my suited flush beats his unsuited straight.

Am posting to follow and also to say up till now I've simply been clicking the "report to moderator" - surprisingly, they will take almost instantaneous action on malware, but won't take any action on shit posters, or dozens of instances of bump posting (that the mods leave "unhandled" through indecision  Roll Eyes )
3975  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Make it just a little more difficult to create a new account. on: June 25, 2020, 02:55:08 AM
SMF has the capabilities to do email verification at the time of registering along with questions/answers and enter text in a box, waiting times after registering (then again a scammer will be in no hurry) even waiting for approval from a mod/admin - those kinds of capabilities can be enabled with just a few key strokes by an admin/mod.

Suggesting a white list or similar brings us backwards to the very early mega threads "please sir, can I be whitelisted?"

There are units of evil (or, at least there *was*) for those utilising the same IP to register too many UID's too quickly, but if they are spaced out time-wise then that's not a concern for scammers.

All of the things that can prevent scammers creating scores of UID's have been quietly disabled over time.

Anyone seriously considering engaging in a wager with this person would be advised to utilise the services of an escrow and also set out a clear set of agreed scenarios for play and payment/refund.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Think whatever you like, but usually account trades result in two password changes and an email change since I'm sure the new owner wouldn't want the previous one having access to it. Time will tell. Maybe I'm secretly Lauda after all?!?! Shocked

I've lost the bookmark now, but somewhere on this Forum is a thread titled "why yes I have changed my password" - couldn't find it just now and this post jogged my memory about it.

Checking act's BPIP page we have this:

Which tells me s/he has done a routine password change.  Nothing more.

Cross referencing with the DT change log we see:

Again, no radical changes.

Going three-for-three:

This is prior to the password change: http://loyce.club/trust/2020-05-30_Sat_12.05h/465017.html Week 72.

as with weeks 73, 74 and now 75.  No changes at all.

There's no activity to suggest actmyname's account has changed hands.
3979  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's (Personal) Trust Flag viewer [daily updates] (NOW IN DESCENDING ORDER) on: June 25, 2020, 01:41:35 AM
I now have hundreds of daily snapshots, so you can see who supported which Flag when. Does anyone even use that, or can I just keep at most monthly snapshots?

I think your question has been answered through a lack of an answer - I don't feel that people place that great an importance on who did what, when to the minute.  The weekly DT update is a good example of how an update each week is sufficient.  The only people who would need such information on a minute by minute basis are those either trying to garner support for or against a fresh flag.

The novelty wears off after a while.

I really can't see myself sitting in a Casino and blurting out "Hang on people, I'll just check the odds of these two cards against the app in my pocket."

It *might* help you playing online, but I've seen Texas Hold Em can get pretty quick, so by the time you've entered details it's back to your turn again and everyone is waiting.

As an educational tool for someone starting out it could be ok, but people should familiarise themselves with the odds in play ahead of game day.
