3961  Economy / Economics / Re: Are bitcoin exchange prices being manipulated? on: February 19, 2014, 04:52:25 AM
Every market out there is manipulated in some way. Bitcoin is pretty vulnerable to big players right now because of the lack of liquidity. So short answer: yes definitely. It's part of the game.
This.

3963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MUST READ article on our bitcoin future on: February 17, 2014, 05:22:34 PM
Agreed, OP. Well said by BitcoinWife.

I see the same thing on the Star Citizen forums (another boy's club).

The problem basically all comes down to the extremely fucked up way our culture socializes young boys.

3964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: February 17, 2014, 04:47:28 PM
What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?

46.83 billion US dollars.

The other possibility is that he is an almost perfect sociopath, unable to have an emotional grasp of what's happening around him.

He is not a sociopath. He is fatty - growing fat is a protective (psychologically / emotionally grounded) response to stress. A sociopath wouldn't care / wouldn't grow fat.

I do not think being a sociopath has anything to do with being fat.
Good to see the bitcoin community engaging in such intelligent debate.

Are psychos fat?

Are fat people psychos?

Only Satoshi knows the truth!

I'm sorry OP, the capitalists have been pushing charity down our throats for over a century, and things have only gotten WORSE.

The world needs solidarity now more than ever... charity was always a lie, a myth, an ineffectual bad joke.

3967  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase under attack? on: February 15, 2014, 01:26:15 AM
It's not an attack, it's a free fraction of a penny that will probably never be confirmed.

It can't hurt you, relax.   Cool

You're on a power trip. It all fits together, but it is not surprising to me that you can't fathom it.
This guy nailed it.

Oh no, Krugman was right! Bitcoin really IS evil!

...thats why im selling my BTC at bitcoins4currency.com and waiting to see if this scenario change.
Thanks for the cheap coins, noob.

Growth back to 1000+ is inevitable, and will happen within a few months at most. 700 is a tremendous undervaluation of bitcoin, big-picture.

Big-picture, 7,000 is an undervaluation.
3971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looks like a new record for BDD, Is this crash far from over? past monday? on: February 07, 2014, 09:20:10 AM
A healthy practice is to check the FIAT value of bitcoin as infrequently as possible.

I recommend once every 3-6 months at the most. Day-to-day and week-to-week fluctuations are as meaningless as turn 5 of a Civilization game.
