3961  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Telegram Groups? on: December 17, 2020, 07:08:53 AM
Second that what was said by @goinmerry, was on my mind actually when reading your post. There are a few groups where you would find a few constructive discussion. It's true sometimes scammers have been trying to post a few scam sites like Ponzi or whatever, but due to strong moderation, they fail to do that. Everyone knows Telegram has become a safe haven for scammers due to anonymous and encrypted communications. It's become easier to scam peoples and scammers getting advantage of that anonymity. Most spammers always add you to a new group unless you turn it off from privacy settings. So, be careful when you are in a telegram, you may follow a few reputed exchange or news source. But make sure you are not doing any financial deal there.

3963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot go as per your plan on: December 16, 2020, 05:37:51 PM
Peoples live with expectations, but too much expectation would be a reason for the loss. A week ago, when Bitcoin was $17K and I expect to buy it when will drop $16.5K. But seems now Bitcoin is trading above $20K but I hadn't bought due to the price didn't drop as per my expectations. Bitcoin always running its own way, we don't know exactly what will happen. Better to follow the trend and get some profits, but really not an easy task at least for me.

So, I have to agree with OP and admit that, "Bitcoin can't go as per our plan"
3964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally reached $20k on: December 16, 2020, 05:17:10 PM
Where are the haters who told Bitcoin would be ZERO? It's become our habits create FUD/FOMO, but Bitcoin is running its own way as I said always. I am really quite surprised even during the global pandemic Bitcoin has been showing very positive movements at all. I don't know what will be the next ATH, but those holding since the last ATH due to sudden drop, at least their funds have recovered. We can say anyone shouldn't regret after bought Bitcoin at any price. Because we have seen it would recover anytime.
3965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin is transparent, solution? on: December 16, 2020, 07:24:26 AM
My question is, is your Bitcoin address linked to your personal identity?  Then how?
Isn't the seller already note the PayPal and BTC address? PayPal is verified with personal identity. This means the seller knows that this PayPal owner using Bitcoin either he is using the address from Mixer. Bitcoin mixer is to cut the link with your address, OP already provides a bitcoin address to the seller. Even the mixed the received Bitcoin doesn't mean he could hide now as a Bitcoin user.

@OP, you should take care before buying bitcoin. Remember, you can use a mixer to hide your Bitcoin but it's quite complicated to hide your money sending source. Not sure if it's possible to send via western union to hide your identity for sending source. For now, just mix your coin and don't use that address anymore. Everytime should use a new BTC receiving address.
3966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rant: If you have sell target, YOU'RE COMPLETELY MISSING THE POINT. on: December 16, 2020, 06:43:31 AM
Just sell when you need it. Holding for a lifetime and not use it in real life is really worthless. I do not agree to stick with a targeted price. It would be a reason for the loss. For example, during the last bull run in 2017, I had a Bitcoin, I thought I will sell it when the price reaches $30K. But unfortunately, the price has dumped and I lost a lot. Because if I sold it on $19K, and when bitcoin dropped $3K later, then I would buy more than 6 BTC. So I don't like to stick with any specifically targeted price, we should take a real time decision when necessary.
3967  Other / Off-topic / Re: I have learn my lesson here about people on: December 15, 2020, 05:04:14 PM
What actually want to explain to us? I am not getting anything from your post. Either I am missing something or you made a pointless topic.

Conclusion: you can not teach anyone with words!
Not agree. We are learning and teaching with words on the forum. There is no other way to express your opinion here.

To me, you're not just a noob but one who's constantly starting threads about blah blah blah, likely trying to earn merits instead of writing anything of interest.  So just stop it.  Do more reading, less blah blah blah.
Second that. I think OP here only for financial gains, you may check his feedback left by DT members.

Week-9 payments have been sent out.

Thanks everyone for another great week.
3969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your merit will find you! on: December 14, 2020, 04:27:11 PM
I am quite soft for newbies about sending merits. Because once a time I was a newbie and I know how hard it to earn merits. But, its true earning merits isn't too hard for true contributors. When I assume someone hunting merits by creating already discussed topics, then I just skip there from sending merits.

Hello sir I am new hear. I got to know how we get merits but I had seen such account whose account has 1000 activities but it has got 0 merit.
Is this possible to get 0 merit in such big activities. I am little confuse over this point.
Merits aren't related to the activities. Users earning merits based on their contributions. If someone made 1 billion posts on bounty reports, then he shouldn't receive merits for that. Even you can earn merits from a single post if the post is considered useful or constructive. As a merit source, when I send merits for newbies, I just look for a good post. I am not looking for the best post from newbies.
3970  Economy / Reputation / Re: Would you consider wearing signature = shilling? on: December 14, 2020, 03:56:05 PM
For me,
Shilling = "Badly advertise anything for own benefits".
Usually, I wouldn't consider the Signature Campaign as a shill, but it's not limited to. For example, you wore a Signature that allowed you to use your referral links. Campaign post requirements are 25/week, but you are making 100 or above posts per week to gain referral and financial benefits, then I will consider it is a shill. But everyone's opinion wouldn't be the same, some users thought whoever wears a Signature he is shilling. We can't really prevent any thoughts.
3971  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: December 13, 2020, 05:57:46 PM
Reporting for OcTradism
Possible thread for send merits: Good topics on security and privacy
Category: Informative
Board: Beginners & Help

He has 478 merits currently and enough activities to become Hero Member. I had 6 source merits that have been sent to him. He needs 22 more merits for an upgrade to the Hero Member rank. As far as I know, he is a good contributor to the forum even though not the best. So, hope someone from a merit source would help him to rank up.
3972  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM WEBSITE - AIRDROP] https://get2xeth.com/ on: December 13, 2020, 05:27:26 PM
Seems the domain name isn't accessible to me. Don't know if it's due to internet connectivity or due to jurisdiction. But the domain name quite enough to realize that there is something suspicious going on. Also, there are a few fake replies that they are getting return (most probably double amount).

Anyways, that's not new for us. We have seen many similar cases previously. We can't do anything except create awareness. I believe most of the forum users aware of such scam attempts except for brand new accounts. So hopefully at least this forum users should get scam from such as scam methods.
3973  Other / Meta / Re: My new idea about creating topics regularly but I would like to be sure first... on: December 13, 2020, 04:24:16 PM
Will I get banned for this?
Yes, if caught. I believe you have remembered all the rules. Until not revealed any plagiarism we can't all a plagiarist. If in case someone detects your plagiarism and detects word spin then you would get ban under plagiarism rules.

33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed

Quote
33. This includes both copying parts or the entirety of other users' posts or threads and copying content from external sources (e.g. other websites) and passing it as your own.

Anyway, sorry about your father. Welcome back to the community, you are always free to contribute yourself even with the current account. No one would prevent you, doesn't necessary to create a new account unless you intend to earn by campaigns.
3974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Have I "lost" my Bitcoins? on: December 13, 2020, 08:02:24 AM
Bitcoin is irreversible, so if the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain then it's never possible to refund on your wallet. If the transaction is not yet confirmed then it's possible to move the fund by double-spending. Otherwise, there is only one way to recover your funds by contacting the vendor. The Bitcoin address has been generating from the vendor's Marchant wallet. Means funds should exist in their wallet at the end. Bitcoin wouldn't lose in cyberspace unless you burn it or sent it to on wrong/random addresses. So, only the seller/vendor could help you if they are honest with their business.
3975  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Beware] Fake Blockchain wallet on Google Play stealing people's money. on: December 13, 2020, 07:05:22 AM
50k downloads I believe this scams should be reported to google.
Believe me, I have seen a few campaigns where peoples getting payments to download the apps. Even you will find such services on Fiverr who will provide you download service. They will give you a certain number of downloads for a certain amount. Very simple to report such as copycat apps. I have reported just now from the Google play store. Just click three dots upper right and click as "flag as inappropriate" then select "copycat or impersonation" and submit it. I am not sure how many reports need to take down this app from the Google play store. But at least we may try from our ends.
3976  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Beginner on: December 12, 2020, 05:23:50 PM
Welcome to the crypto industry. Since you are newbies in the crypto and forum as well, you have to learn a lot. Investing in crypto isn't much hard, but determine the right place is quite hard. If you invest in the shitcoin probably you have to regret it later. I will say your thoughts are wrong, buying altcoin and convert it into Bitcoin later would be the right decision at the beginning in my opinion. It would consider trading and you have to learn more about it to avoid losses. It would reasonable to buy a small part of bitcoin as suggested by other users, doesn't necessary to buy the entire Bitcoin. Most important is to learn about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. There is much information on the webs from where you can learn. Also, Bitcointalk is the biggest crypto community ever from where you can learn day by day. So spend more time on the forum by reading constructive discussions related to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency technologies. That's how you can build your skill from here.
3977  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paying on Alibaba.com with Bitcoin?? on: December 12, 2020, 04:33:55 PM
Is their any electronic payment system like paypal or else? If so, you can convert your BTC in that system and pay with them.
Surprisingly Alibaba doesn't accept PayPal officially. But you can make a deal via PayPal directly with the seller. But it's quite risky since Alibaba isn't responsible for that deal. So, if the seller isn't trusted, then better to avoid dealing with PayPal. On the other hand, PayPal should usable from OP's jurisdiction.

@ OP you may take a look on How to Pay Suppliers on Alibaba: A Complete Guide. Perhaps better to buy a virtual card with Bitcoin, but you will have to pay extra fees for that. I am not sure, but you may take a look at Alipay if there is any easy option to lead balance.
3978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friendly reminder on: December 12, 2020, 01:12:20 PM
10 years isn't too short, we don't know what will happen then. But I am pretty sure, if Bitcoin exists until 2030, then really we will be rich in holding at least one Bitcoin. But the problem is, we only see what is in front of us. Even we can assume what would happen after ten years, we don't want to invest now. If you think about it after 10 years then it's true that you aren't yet late to enter on Bitcoin. If you wondering to buy on dip then it wouldn't happen, because we don't know where the is a dip. Same like I become confused during USDT/BTC trading. I thought it will dump more, but eventually, I regret it.
3979  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best thing which I noticed of this forum. on: December 12, 2020, 08:42:15 AM
Well, our behavior should something similar although you haven't mentioned all the points, newbies would take a bit lesson from this discussion. You are newbies on the forum doesn't mean you can't participate in the constructive discussion. I have seen many Hero/Legendary spammer and low ranked quality poster. So, there is no end to learning, it's not limited to 6 months or years. Honestly, even I achieved Legendary ranks but still I am learning from the forum.

However, I don't know what's is the intention of this post. But sent merits on this thread because I believe newbie's behavior should something similar. I will encourage you to read all the replies before replying to a thread. Although sometimes I can't follow it myself it but would be a good practice. One important point, please use the search button before you create a new thread. So you might get your answer before creating a thread.
3980  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (Alert) Bitcoin.com Promote Scam Website Link ON Their Blog on: December 11, 2020, 03:35:02 PM
I will not surprise if they add a scam site link knowingly. Roger is the biggest liar ever in the crypto industry who makes a false claim. Even they confusing crypto users during buying Bitcoin from their wallet service. I have seen many cases that they tried to buy Bitcoin but ended up with buy BCH. We shouldn't trust where Roger is related.
