3961  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: btc scam on: February 23, 2022, 07:22:35 AM
It depends on the amount, if you are scammed just few hundreds of dollars, the money you will need for investigating the fraud will be much more higher, the second is that it is still possible the scammers knows how to be anonymous enough, this can make the investigation not to worth it but making you to lose more money. But if multi thousand or million dollars is stolen, you can begin reporting it to chainanalysis to help you.
3962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 23, 2022, 06:42:46 AM
This is what I read from the site:

Drake: Gambling Addict, Or Just Stupidly Rich?

Quote
Drake has reportedly bet over $1 billion at Canadian crypto-betting site Stake since joining the platform in December 2021, which has left many people speculating whether there’s a partnership in place.

Over $1 billion or $1 million? Obviously over $1 million as Drake's bet worth is far below $1 billion.

As said he had some net worth of $180 Million which something below a million dollar loss wouldn't really be that a serious amount.
So this guy is rich.
It is not about to be rich only, I hope one of his children will not later be addicted to gambling by educating them well and appropriately concerning gambling.
3963  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 23, 2022, 05:50:35 AM
Useful, probably. Risky, definitely, especially when it involves money, which gambling does. If you are hiding or masking your IP address because you are playing from a location which is banned or blacklisted, that is immediately a violation of the site's terms and conditions, including Sportsbet.io's.
This is what people should avoid, I can not risk my money this way, I will even prefer not to gamble because the gambling site may prefer to use this to steal money from people as a way of punishment. But it is not only one gambling site that is existing, most do not support the use of VPN but few still do. Even while supporting VPN, the best is to use local internet service provider for the access.

This is not an entirely all-new technique but it works in some cases a quick correction Binance is not a gambling site but an exchange and as a centralized exchange that requires KYC verification how are you able to pass through the KYC process when your country is banned from accessing the site, am interested to know about that.
That is true, binance would have disabled people from the country to be able to login or register even if they mask their IP address, but some people can have some ways to have fake verification and fake everything to make use of binance. This is risky too and I will not advice anyone to do that. If other reputable exchanges are supported, binance is not the only good exchange.
3964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin ATM paper wallet on: February 22, 2022, 12:51:44 PM
No matter how safely that paper wallet was generated by that device, you really don't realize that the ATM most probably has a copy of the private key?!
This is what I am thinking too, I am thinking there can be a way this can be manipulated to generate a known private that can be known to the ATM operators.

I was thinking before if anybody on this forum know how bitcoin ATMs are working in a way the paper wallet are generated, if it is offline or online. I also like what PrivacyG posted as it is indicating that bitcoin ATMs can vary from manufacturer or manufacturer, even if some ATM can generate paper wallet offline, what about others, it can be online. With what ETFbitcoin said, bitcoin ATM is an online machine, probably it is generated online.

There is no bitcoin ATM near my area, I have never used it before, I am just thinking this can help someone on this forum or for us to know the breakdown of how the wallet is generated on bitcoin ATM.
3965  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin ATM paper wallet on: February 22, 2022, 09:39:00 AM
From the days in the past when I read about paper wallet, it is said to be one of the safest wallets, but the first ones I would have generated would have been all generated online, making use of a site like bitaddress.org directly with my device internet well connected. Many people have been using this means to generate paper wallet which is not safe.

I later know that it is better to get the source and run it offline on a device that is not connected online like new device which its OS has just been installed with no WiFi, bluetooth, NFC and other communication enabled.

I watched a video recently about bitcoin ATM that are generating paper wallet. You can watch this video about it

https://youtu.be/OwAe42aYEQ4

I do not know how bitcoin ATMs are generating paper wallet, is it generating it offline and safely?
3966  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 22, 2022, 08:30:39 AM
Be careful using free VPN risk is more dangerous for your data.
If you keep insisting on a free VPN the risks you will most likely experience are as below.
The worst thing to do is to use VPN to be accessing centralized sites like exchanges and gambling sites, even if it is free or paid. Paid VPN is still better, free VPN is worst. Adware are also malware. The worst about free VPN is the selling of users data to the third party and very possible it is linked to compromising of device used for it.

But in the OP, what was talked about is how to access such sites without VPN and he explained it. I have not tried it to know if it will work because I can easily access those sites.
3967  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 22, 2022, 08:09:03 AM
My country banned sportsbet.io, Binance.com, and any kind of gambling website. so how to access it without proxy?
Sportbet.io is a gambling site but binance is not a gambling site, binance is an exchange. Likely your country ban both gambling and the use of cryptocurrencies. If your country do not ban the use of cryptocurrencies, that means likely only few exchanges are banned.

4. scroll down to advance then select provider, I used 1.1.1.1 (cloudflare)
5. then you will be able to access the blocked browser. especially sportsbet.io and Binance.com
Gambling is not ban in my country, crypto are banned but people can still able to use it, even we can still make use of exchanges but no direct bank transactions than using P2P, this may not let me try this.

If such sites can be accessed without like that, I think it is good, but if truly gambling and crypto or some crypto exchanges are banned in your country, did you think it is not risky if you are using them because they are centralized.
3968  Economy / Economics / Re: OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ? on: February 22, 2022, 07:46:05 AM
There is a coin called OMG, that was not what you meant, but it can be confusing.

Well let me tell you what you do when crypto is low (shhh don't tell anyone it's a secret ...):
Let me tell you one that is not secret because it has happened countless numbers of time, there are many altcoins that will dip more in bear market but never reach ATH for a long time again even after bitcoin has reach AHT again. Altcoins are dangerous, only some of them are good, more research needs to be done.

My advice for you is to buy bitcoin which we still know will reach ATH again.
3969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralised Exchanges, Which to use and how to be truly anon vs banks on: February 22, 2022, 07:36:57 AM
My reasons for looking to use decentralized exchanges is for Canadian truckers, the government has stepped in and have started using Centralized exchanges against people who want to help, including freezing not just their crypto but their actual bank accounts linked to it. I think this (regardless how you feel about the protest) is a truly terrifying thing and an attack on everyone.
You are on the right way, many people have forgotten that centralized crypto exchanges are regulated just like banks and government of any country can tell the exchanges to freeze any account they want, an example is what is going on in your country, the best you can use are decentralized exchange. But always try all means to avoid scammers.

https://localcryptos.com/ and https://hodlhodl.com/ are good, you can also try https://bisq.network/ which is currently the most that can offer you more privacy among decentralized exchanges but some people may not be using it because only its alerting support mobile app, if you will have to use the site, you will need to use a computer.

For every first crypto buy you need Fiat now ask yourself where the anonymity is? Using fiat is giving away your everything that has to do with anonymous, this is what ruined privacy coins too, you need Fiat money to buy.
If you do not have any other means than to use fiat to buy crypto, then what are you going to do? This is the best option you can go for. You use fiat but in a P2P way that is not linked to buying crypto.
3970  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Proper risk management? on: February 21, 2022, 08:20:12 AM
Thay can be helpful in trading, but emotion is very important aspect to face while trading. Risk management in this case can be helpful for people that are trading several coins at a time, this is common in forex trading. Since I have been trading cryptocurrencies, I noticed their price move in the same direction, I prefer to choose just one coin and which is bitcoin.

What I am trying to say is that risk management is beyond using app or any software that will calculate the percentage wining and losses, it is also about mindsets and emotions about opening and closing a trade at the appropriate time.
3971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 20, 2022, 07:10:21 PM
Massive Barcelona win. I didn't think this team could pull that off, Xavi has been doing well lately and they've played pretty well today. It seems more and more that the way up has been started and today was a good result. Winning 1-4 at Valencia is not for everyone. It is true that Valencia has had a dramatic season so far with a 12th place. They don't even make it to European football this way.
Valencia was a good team before, but the club is having so many down time, the club has gotten very worst in La Liga, I am not expecting anything good from them. Barcelona tried today, Aubameyang scored two goals and other Barcelona teams have got better than before, I was even surprised the club moved up to this position they are now. With one matches not yet played by Barcelona and with the strength of the team, it is claiming 4th or position above 4th this season.
3972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 20, 2022, 07:02:23 PM
Wolves again added one goal and the score was 2-1 for the hosts but Leicester still had possession of the ball but it didn't make many goals because they are currently in bad shape unlike last season but in fact Leicester still need improvement from their team.
If Wolves can hold out to win until the end of time which is a few minutes away I'm happy that bet can be won.
Wolves is a very good club this season, a club in relegation before that make it this far in EPL, the match was an interesting one, wolves first scored but equalised and later scored again. Well done to Ruben Neves and Daniel Podence that scored for Wolves. Leicester had the ball possession but it was 59% to 41% which is not that much.

I'm so happy for the victory of Manchester United, since the last match they played against Brighton and the one of today against Leeds. In the last game and this very one against Leeds,  Manchester  United had performed very well with some number of goals.  I see can see Manchester United  back to their normal good performance .
I am surprised today that Manchester United won, but the problem Manchester United is facing is not yet ended until the manager is focusing on new good players that can do the job rather than old ones.
3973  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKEX (OKX) exchange good? on: February 20, 2022, 06:34:25 PM
@ OmegaStarScream, hugeblack, Bitcoin_Arena

Thank you all for your answers, I noticed it supported lightning network too, this will be a good benefit for lighting network users for payment. But I noticed it is not supporting Bech32 address yet, I saw only nested segwit, it will be good if the exchange support Bech32 segwit address too, but this is not any problem for me right now.

anyway, 1 bitcoin/pay is good for non-kyc exchange.
This amount is still okay for me, I just want to use it for few amount as I do not want my coins to stay on one exchange, that is the reason. I am looking for an exchange that support spot and future and OKX is good to go as you people recommended it.

1. The app is case-sensitive, even when it comes to initials of the email address
2. The app is sluggish in bringing up the verification page (it can even take 30 seconds)
I am even also case sensitive with emails as passwords, I know some sites can be case insensitive but I myself is someone that is case sensitive, it will not be a problem for me at all. I have not verified my account, but if there will be any need, that is not a problem if other services that I will be accessing frequently are perfect and I have seen them perfect.
3974  Economy / Exchanges / OKEX (OKX) exchange good? on: February 20, 2022, 10:21:10 AM
I think I do not need to search more about this, OKX has been an exchange I have been seeing online for long time ago with good reputation, I have not used the exchange before, I believe some people on this forum is using or have used OKX before. The exchange supports spot, margin and future trading, their trading volume on coinmarketcap is good enough that will make high liquidity possible.

Please, what are the disvatages of using OKX that you know, how about their trading fee for spot and future, hope it is not to much? Or which exchange can you recommend that is good. I have tried FTX, but I later have to delete it as their app is sluggish on my phone. But if OKX is a trustworthy exchange site, I will prefer the exchange if having a good trading fee.
3975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 20, 2022, 08:35:41 AM
Even though Norwich scored first in the 48th minute, I wasn't worried when watching Liverpool's game. Because I believe Liverpool will score
I too was not surprised and all I know was that Manchester City would win the match, this is not the first time relegating club will first score a club that is hot and can win almost every match, Norwish is stilling maintaining its beautiful position on the league which is 20, the last on the EPL table. The match I was only panic about was even fantastic as Arsenal also won but Tottenham also is really competing for the 4th position as he won Manchester City yesterday, no one was expecting that. The point margin between Manchester City and Liverpool is very close now and EPL is becoming more competitive again this season. Competition for who to win the league between Machester City and Liverpool, also competition for who to win the forth position for Champions League.l qualification.
3976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter enables users to make and receive ethereum payments on: February 19, 2022, 07:30:06 PM
Good luck on sending a tip and paying the double in fees.
It is not even about the fee I am concerned about, what I am concerned about is for a general site meant for public to be accepting cryptocurrencies that are centralized in one way or the other.

Jack Dorsey only accepted bitcoin, he quit as Twitter CEO, then Twitter begins this rubbish of coins that are centralized in one way or the other.

I am not surprised that El Salvador only accept bitcoin, other countries that want to accept cryptocurrencies like Russia are considering only bitcoin.
3977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What coin you like trading future on: February 19, 2022, 07:03:27 PM
Although I have stopped trading futures I would still like to share my experience. I used to like trading futures on altcoins which had low price like FTM and SRM.
I used to have 5x leverage and used to patiently wait to hit targets but eventually made losses.
I learnt a hard lesson that trading futures is not for me which is why I stopped futures.
Low marketcap coins are very dangerous, using it for future trading will be riskier, the lower the altcoin marketcap the lower the chance of getting liquidated early. No small coin will be available for future trading but I understand you very well by still comparing the coins as low marketcap coin.

Using 5x can be very risky too, I use 3x and it is still risky, my funds are not getting liquidated but I do close the market myself after losing to some extent, but liquidation is still very possible while using 2x, the best is 1x.

Lastly, it is very better to quit trading future if your are continually losing.
3978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are there so many coins and the reason why some developers failed on: February 19, 2022, 11:21:18 AM
That is not only all, some developers are not developers but scammers, there are many altcoins that have been a total scam before. There was a time a friend of mine told me to buy a presale some months ago in November last year, it was a BSC token. My friend bought the token and was sent to his address, but all that happened was that the project is a scam. We should be very careful of new projects. Altcoins is an easy means to create many fake projects to scam people which is what to avoid.

Some altcoins are not scam directly, the developers will pump it to attract investors, after the investors are attracted, the developers sell so the price of the coins will reduce to the extent many investors will lose. Altcoins have created ways for scammers to be happy by making sure investors lose for scammers to gain.

The main purpose for developers that are not ready to scam is also profit, for their project to be known to the world, making the price of their coin to rise significantly and they will gain very well. But what altcoins are creating for investors are making many investors to lose. Some projects are good but out of over $17000 cryptocurrencies existing, there are thousands of altcoins that are existing but making investors to lose, there are may altcoins that are still very risky and lead to loss of money in one way or the other.
3979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 19, 2022, 08:36:05 AM
When have several match easy to predict I think multi bet or parlay looks interested than single bet, odds could change if use single bet but with multi bet have higher odds.
With all the gambling sites I have used before, the odds change only if you have not taken the bet, I mean if you have not bet, once you bet, the odds will never change, be it single or accumulation bet. There are always several matches to predict, I took Borussia Dortmund to win Rangers in Europa, I wish I could have gone for over 2.5, it was what that made me lose my $20 match that I bet, if it is a single bet, I might have not selected the Borussia Dortmund vs Rangers among.

If you bet on a single bet and the chance to win is like 50%, the chance to lose is also 50%. If two matches are taken, the chance of winning will reduce to 25% while the chance of losing will increase to 75% and so on. Multiple bets are more risky as the profit to make is increasing.
3980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 08:20:32 AM
Drake will surely can manage the loss and I don't think it was just purely a bet on his side, there's a different story I guess on why he did that. Maybe to advertise the casino as well or that's not all his money at all in the first place, there are some evidence that he's with Stake after all for advertisements.
Are you saying Stake endorse Drake? Or what did you mean by Drake is with Stake after all for advertisement? I wish to know more about this. Or may be you mean that it can be an agenda not disposed to the public so that people can know Stake as a gambling platform that is providing deposit and withdrawal service in crypto. I guess this later will be what it is, as for me, $1.3 million is too much for gambling but can be a means to advertise.
