3961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know any good volatile coins that I can make a some money with? on: June 03, 2021, 04:24:09 PM
Hey BTCTalk, I have recently branched out from ETH and BTC to other altcoins alongside those coins, I have seen that Cardano, Nano, and other coins are Volatile enough to make good profits, do you guys have any other suggestions?
The more volatile the price is, the more money you can hypothetically make via trading. However, it also means that the higher the risks are for you as an investor if you miss a change of dynamics. To look at volatility, you can just spend a few days watching the market on Coingecko or a similar website, sorting the list by the price change in 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days. To minimize the risks or losing lots of money, you can also look at the number next to the name of the coin which signifies its position by market capitalization: the higher the capitalization, the lower the risk of the price dropping hard and never going back up. Good luck!
Edit: I've noticed you're saying you're a minor. In that case, I'm really not sure if risking money by investing is appropriate... Just remember to ONLY invest what you can afford to lose.
3962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin should be taxed on: June 03, 2021, 03:05:39 PM
In Ron Paul's view, bitcoin is money, and it should be taxed as such. How do you view this information?
Right now, whether Bitcoin is taxed really depends on the country where you live. I think that Bitcoin itself shouldn't be subject to taxes, but that the income from trading or just getting BTC as a salary should be reasonably taxed in a way that's similar to fiat income taxes. So it shouldn't be anything crazy because then people will just hide it, and the procedure of filing taxes should also be as simple as possible. I think such conditions would move a lot out of the gray area, and it can be beneficial to countries economies.
3963  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🤜 GamblingBro.com 🤛 Your cryptocurrency gambling bro [New Stake.com Review] on: June 03, 2021, 02:46:13 PM
I think the reviews you're making do stand out from the rest in a good way: they truly look professional. You pay attention to many things and have a detailed grading system. However, I have a couple of questions:
1. Are welcome and wagering bonuses truly that important to get a category of its own, separately from promotions?
2. How will you ensure that your individual bias (which all of us have in some areas) doesn't affect the reviews? Wouldn't it be better to add a separate category like 'overall reputation' which encompasses the opinion of the gambling community? This can also help with ensuring that your rating accounts for selective scamming because otherwise you having some positive experience and giving the casino 5/5 for KYC and 5/5 for withdrawals (hypothetically) might not be representative. Or you could add a comment section below the reviews and then take them into account in your reviews.
3964  Economy / Gambling / Re: 👱‍♀️ Mummy's Ultimate Crypto List on: June 03, 2021, 02:13:48 PM
Welcome to the forum.
To be honest, I find the design weird and a little uncomfortable. The fonts are not similar to the typical once, and the creeping line with crypto prices is annoying because it's uncomfortable to perceive info this way and because it's distracting when you see it with your peripheral vision when trying to concentrate on something else.
Also, when I clicked on casinos from the list, there was a big white image box with a small logo in the corner. It looks like either something isn't displayed properly or something's missing. And on the list, the casinos basically just have a short description and a thumbs up, but no ratings...
3965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: June 03, 2021, 01:48:42 PM
Op, if this worked for you, it doesn't mean this would work for everyone. How do we know you didn't delete some bets you've lost? Maybe you're good at sports, but someone who isn't wouldn't be able to achieve the same level of success.
If you've used a couple or even one sportsbook all the time, getting the betting history from there as a proof is a realistic task.
If you've indeed managed to become rich through betting on sports, congrats to you. I do believe that it's possible to become good at it, and you're right that it's not a 'get rich quick' scheme. But I'm not sure it's something universal that everyone can apply and get the same result.
3966  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2021 starting to look like 2013 more than 2017 on: June 02, 2021, 02:33:04 PM
Many posts lately claim that this cycle is looking more like 2013 than 2017 bullrun if we take into account what patterns is price following with some serious price dips esp. 60% in april 2013 compared to this one 50%. then we remember price started to climb from $140. this time we were at 30K. I believe we will see parabolic price move till the end of year instead of crypto winter following after 60K ATH was reached. Price didn't fall below 30K but is stable around 35-36K. History shows big move ahead is probable.
I think it's correct and we're entered the bearish market. The price dropped very significantly, and there are no signs of recovery for now. I hope there won't be additional tought events, pushing the price lower than $30k or something, and I'll be generally happy if the price simply stays above $30k as it seems to be doing now. People get excited and buy too much out of fear of missing out, and then they start backing off because something cannot become so much more valuable over such a short period of time without significant reasons like new technical developments.
3967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla Competitor to Launch First Electric Car That Mines Bitcoin and Dogecoin on: June 02, 2021, 01:01:02 PM
I'm not sure how hard dogecoin mining is, so maybe mining is with a parked car is a viable idea, but I don't see how this can work out with Bitcoin since contemporary Bitcoin mining normally requires professional equipment and maintenance (like the cooling devices). Moreover, I don't think the charging stations will be thrilled with their electricity bills if cars don't just recharge but also suck out a lot of energy for mining. Or will the car owners pay for it themselves? In that case, I think they'll be shocked with the bills Grin
It's an interesting idea, but can it really be implemented?
3968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You basically have to believe that JPM is behind the sale on: June 02, 2021, 12:46:53 PM
I don't think that JPM has power over Bitcoin market, not even on the level of Musk's tweets. When the price is up for a while, it's very simple to predict that it will go down because it always does after the bull market. So I see neither expertise no manipulation in this case. JPM cares about profits and profits only, so of course they're interested in the price going down, so that they can show their investors that the traditional market is much more reliable, and also perhaps buy the dip. So sometimes they're allegedly pro-crypto, while other times they aren't. They go with whichever seems like a more profitable thing to say.

I sent payments to tomahawk, harkorede, fortebet, kryptqnick and hahay.
I've received my payment today, thanks a lot!
I hope the side bet issue will be resolved, and especially since the winnings didn't get sent to the winner yet, I guess it'll be alright.
I'll do my best not to miss the next EPL prediction contest as I'm very happy with how this one turned out for me. Thanks to Sportsbet and to you for organizing and managing it.
3971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pablo - What do you think on him? (Actually urgent) on: May 30, 2021, 11:55:35 AM
I don't trust anyone making review videos about cryptos. He doesn't seem to be aggressively bullish about the projects he's talking about, but given how tons of projects appear all the time, some incentive is probably present from the companies so that he talks about their projects specifically. The bull market is probably over, so investing in low-quality altcoins and hoping to see them pumped is very risky. I've checked a couple of projects he reviewed a while ago and their prices did rise for some time later, but I still think it doesn't make him trustworthy and doesn't mean that the future projects will see growth, given that Bitcoin is $35k now.
3972  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Crypto-Gambling.Net 🔥 Crypto Casino Reviews By A Real Insider ✅ on: May 30, 2021, 11:33:17 AM
It's good that you're experienced and want to share it with the community, but it's impossible for one person to be impartial. A diverse team of people with various background could promote diverse criteria and notice more than one person ever could. This way, individual biases would be cancelled out at least to a certain point because people will point out each other's biases.
Moreover, you have to take the overall reputation into account as well. If you've deposited and withdrawn money successfully, it doesn't mean that the experience will be the same for everyone because casinos can practice selective scamming.
I also think that mentioning KYC policies and restricted territories in casino reviews would provide useful information.
3973  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lunarwin.com Slots&Casino - Get a non depositor freebie! on: May 30, 2021, 11:01:57 AM
The registration was fast and simple, and claiming the promocode was also easy. What I don't like is that one has to close the navigation on the left side manually. I think it would be better to make it disappear automatically once the player clicks anywhere outside it. Also, I like that there's a trivia, but I was initially confused when it started in the main chat. Why not make a separate thing for trivia or a simple notification that the question will appear in the chat?
I've tried a few games, and they all seem to be working well, but the animation and background is very simple.
The website is okay overall, but the design isn't very intuitive sometimes.
3974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the real deal on USDT Tether? on: May 30, 2021, 10:41:51 AM
USDT somehow managed to stay afloat for all these years, but I don't trust it and never use it, even though having a stable coin could be useful in some situations. It's been known for a while that it's not fully backed by USD, and there's no transparency on how much it's truly backed by various financial assets. This means that there's a good chance it's not fully backed, and if something triggers panic selling of USDT, the price will collapse. Everyone knows that Bitcoin is volatile because it's not backed by anything, but USDT users believe that their coin is fully backed, and thus the price will always remain stable. I think it's largely a bubble that keeps going because enough people believe in it, but it can burst at any point.
3975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the crypto industry is running by shills on: May 30, 2021, 09:49:27 AM
If we're talking about small ICOs, they're definitely paying influential Youtubers for positive videos about them and are pushing their coins in the media for money as well. However, I don't think that's the case with big projects because companies can become genuinely interested in them, invest money and then do the shilling themselves because of being interested in the growth of the price. I'm sure there's no shilling with Bitcoin or Ethereum, for instance, and I think that other top cryptos by market capitalization truly have people who believe in them.
3976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Maharaja of Bitcointalk🏆 $600 Prizepool tourney(Free entry) by Sportbet.one on: May 30, 2021, 08:57:08 AM
I remember that op had serious reasons for the delays due to the pandemic, but have there been any updates? I can see that my bets stats weren't updated since March, with only 3 bets fully accounted for... Is it the same for others with no updates over these months? After all, it wasn't a purely for-fun contest, there was a prize pool announced. I can see that vennali hasn't been active since May 19 on the forum which is worrisome.
Perhaps the casino that sponsored the contest could step up and provide updates? At least a date by which to expect all the calculations to be processed would be nice...  Undecided
3977  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Elon is manipulating the market? on: May 29, 2021, 07:57:08 AM
Did Musk contribute to the fall of the price? Of course he did. However, China's decision wasn't a smaller factor, not to mention that correction always arrives after the bull market. Moreover, Musk was also the one who contributed to the growth of the price before, when Tesla announced accepting BTC and when they invested $1.5 billion in Bitcoin. So it's not like he only brought devastation. Moreover, nothing he does causes permanent damage to the market. Bitcoin will recover eventually like it always does.
3978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legends and Veterans. Seeking wisdom... on: May 29, 2021, 07:38:37 AM
I haven't been here from the start, but it's been around 6 years of BTC usage for me. Here are a few things worth remembering:
- Be careful with your money. Make sure you have your passphrase stored in multiple places, use only reputable storage providers and when using websites, double check their addresses not to become a victim of phishing.
- Bitcoin price is very volatile, and you have to get used to it.
- Only invest what you can afford to lose. And when doing it, buy low and sell high.
3979  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUD-slingers saying 20K this weekend... on: May 29, 2021, 07:24:11 AM
The problem with the media is that while its supposed to inform people, they are also operating for profit. This pushes them to go for content that will engage more people, and people tend to respond to basic negative emotions. Things provoking fear, anxiety or anger become more shared because they seem important to people. So FUD about the price going down is something that will catch attention and that means profits. But this is done at expense of staying objective.
