3962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19 and its effect in Gambling World on: March 09, 2020, 01:32:46 PM
Security reasons must have become a secondary concern now that the presence of COVID-19 could be just around any corner or right in the person in front of you. Wearing face masks may not be required from everyone in casinos but I think they need to start observing healthy precautions, especially in tourism casinos where the majority of the clients are coming from everywhere in the world. The risk is too high for these casino workers. Prevention is always better than cure.

Casino players here in my place are not prohibited nor required to wear face masks but the standard protocol has always been observed at the entrance; everyone will have to remove their face masks, caps, shades, and whatever headwear they're wearing for identification and recording purposes.

It's funny they say you have to remove head-ware (baseball caps etc) and then you wander over to the Texas Hold Em tables and the sharks are there with the dark glasses (even at night indoors) and caps or even the classic poker cap trying to hide their gaze from others.

I do not know the process in other countries but in most establishments here in my particular city, not just in casinos but also in schools, malls, and so on, anything worn in the head or in the face such as face masks will have to be removed as soon as you enter, but when you are already inside you are free to use them. Those are not prohibited, after all. You just have to remove them in the entrance so that the security personnel and perhaps the CCTV as well could have a clear view of your face. That is basically a security protocol. When you are already in the Holdem table or just wandering around jumping from one game to another, you are completely free to wear all kinds of masks and shades and caps.

what about the chips? if banknotes were the cause why the virus spreadout, the chips can also be the cause.  its going to be risky for a gambler out there. he would surely miss his gambling habit if he is quarantined. its best to just do it online and stay home infront of the desktop or he can do it in the phone while watching corona virus updates.

3963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 07, 2020, 03:09:25 PM
p2pB2B exchange were already busted to have fake team member in the past but there seem to have volume in the exchange, this is probably because they have done some IEO in there were users are trading their tokens. this had become the cause of new promising exchange to rise above because of previous scam of the exchanges.

What is the motivation to trade on this doubtful exchanges? Lower fees? Binance has 0.1% trading fees. Higher security? Coinbase never been hacked. So what is the real deal on this exchanges?
I think trader of this Exchange are those newbies that think this is the right exchange to invest because they see in market cap that volume is high which is very attractive.

And maybe some traders here are selling thier Airdrop coins or participating in airdrop event of this exchange.

not really newbies but the ones that doesn't spend time here in the forum to learn about them.
3964  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: March 06, 2020, 02:48:43 PM

If they limit some countries, it means that they are either running out of funds or they are improving quality. If we think that money for Cryptotalk (read Yobit) is not a problem, it means that at first they wanted to attract attention with spam, and now they are slowly moving towards quality.
I also think that 30 posts a day is a lot, but if someone from a third world country considers it to be his full time job, then I think that within 8 hours he can write 30 constructive posts.
If they want quality then they should increase their moderation, restricting people from certain countries is not the right way and will damage all the reputation you made by spending a few thousand dollars on your advertisement.
30 constructive posts so 30,000 sats which means the user will get $2 dollar per day. Even beggars from third world countries can't survive with this earning.

30000 satoshi is around $2.7 but you are right that it is still not much. However, maybe there are places in the world where is possible to survive with $70 a month.  Roll Eyes

There is a whole thread dedicated to claim cryptotalk racist because they're already banning some countries from using it.
The problem is not one-sided as you described it, but I hope they'll figure it out somehow because their service for sure failed to become better

It seems that blocking countries is more nationalism than racism ... However, here these actions are not about nationalism (or racism), because the reason for blocking are economic and not prejudice.

its not economic reason, it clearly show low quality posters. obviously they have invited a lot that doesn't even knew what bitcoin is. their users party over getting commission from invites to yobit. now that the posts are caught being shits, they blame each other for being low quality posters. the party is over.

Quote
From 25 Feb we don't pay for messages from these countries: 'NG','EG','PK','ID','VE', 'BD','PH' because 95% of them are spammers or low quality posters.

Philippines was added recently.
3965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts on XRP on: March 06, 2020, 08:51:30 AM

i remember XRP were talking about their smart contract years ago when they were having conference with SWELL.  i think its possible that XRP had planned to do so after all there is a centralize contract platform like EOS who manages to keep up. but it might affect the fast transaction of XRP if they will have more projects with them. i would certainly like to see XRP having this feature.
3966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KEY YOUR PRIVATE KEYS OUT OF DEX on: March 04, 2020, 08:04:06 PM
It's one of the reasons why I think DEX won't work, to use a Dex you have to import your private keys, that's the only way to start using a DEX, tell me how will someone trust this? And their are news of DEX getting hacked, I thought DEX was unhackable?

you didn't read OP. what he just said there is to avoid doing it and suggested to use metamask which you don't need to import the private keys to which exactly the reason why you don't use DEX.  if his suggestion will change your mind upon using dex then we finally gain someone to start doing it for good of the Defi.

but then there are better DEX than eth base dex. Bisq or blocknet are good ones.
3967  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] BlockZone Signature Campaign (Sr.Member-Legendary Accepted) (New) on: March 04, 2020, 03:09:44 PM
I'm more interested in what goal does this campaign want to achieve?
If it is about spam, it would be enough to provide rules for example a minimum of 50 posts per week and a minimum of 20 characters in the post. That should be enough.
Now it's more like a challenge / competition than a promotional campaign.

seen someone in the meta section where he asked if he can do a signature campaign similar to what OP wants. its him actually lol  its this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5229229.msg53931496

this is the kind of campaign that intends to make a thread in bitcointalk to rank on some key words he wants. basically its for SEO and likely he wants links to its post as well.

Its best for OP to just hire someone to do a per post but he would have to be careful not to get caught else its a negative impact to his companies reputation.
3968  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will the Halving affect the BTC price? on: March 03, 2020, 05:38:59 PM

there is no sure way to see how much price will go until it happened already. but its definitely gonna go up as we have see form the beginning of this year. maybe even before halving we will hit to $10k again. the market had dip a lot by how the chart looks but the price did't actually go below $8k so its a good sign. while the price has concrete support level, the halving will make it even stronger when miners aren't going to sell their coins for less.

Bankcoin Reserve Index
Current Price = $1,689.00

they only got the price thru this plug OTC, whatever they do down there.  obviously there is no transparency to it. scam as it must be.  stay away from that project and tell your friend to withdraw if he can. before its too late.

i found its ANN thread here and OP is just talking to the newbie accounts their team had been registering in the forum, probably he himself. none would be interested to such project so why would it have a price of more than $1500?

3970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: March 02, 2020, 12:21:54 PM

you can do whatever you wanna do with the fee they gave for the promotion, its yours for the work you did. some may gamble it away and i guess they are more of a risk takers. some may keep it. the company probably will want their bounty participants to bet their BTC to their casino, this is why some of these casinos want you to register to them just when you signup for the campaign. if the casino accepts TRX, i might be there betting it. i can turn my btc to TRX just to be.
3971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][DEF] - Deflexchange - First Deflationary Exchange on: February 29, 2020, 06:36:08 PM

@Deflexchangecom even if you RON will claim the full responsibility of the funds, it won't change the fact that you are anonymous to anyone. i have to remind you that teams who were totally transparent and provided thier social media accounts and linkedin accounts, they tend to become scam still. not that i'm accusing you already but in reality nothing can stop you if you go nuts after your Deflexchange ICO.
3972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a failed experiment? on: February 29, 2020, 08:09:23 AM
Another FUD? Really? The price fell down in an instant, so what? It fell way lower in the past and I don't really care. Coronavirus has nothing to do with the price changes that are happening and if you really are supporting bitcoin, you should know that. That bitcoin is not a failed experiment, if you really support bitcoin, from profit or not you will be there.
if it is said that the experiment failed, I think from the beginning of the establishment of bitcoin, the price will not rise to the present. especially now that bitcoin is traded a lot on the stock market, and many brokers provide pairs. I think fud is a common thing in trading, for those who are already profitable it will sell it and will buy it back at a cheap price.

from the very beginning BTC is actually just an experiment and i think the dev planned to reset it but miners continue to mine and never stopped so its just how it is. they didn't reboot it. but its just nonsense to see BTC will be worth ZERO after 12-18months. many people had bought BTC when it touches the $3k since it was assumed to be the bottom. ZERO is just too much of a fud.
3973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 29, 2020, 07:03:41 AM
SEC fined Steven Seagal for advertising ICO. The actor did not disclose information about the funds received for the promotion of the project, which could mislead investors, the Commission explained.

Since the ICO, the price of the Bitcoiin2Gen token advertised by Segal has fallen by 99%.

do you think celebrities know that they advertise scam projects or they just don’t understand what they are doing? I think this is a big problem for the market

Oh my... Do you really think that all these celebrities, actors etc are very smart guys who know what crypto is and are professional in investing? Smiley
Don't compare their movie roles with themselves Smiley

it would make sense if the project is related to what the actor is doing though.

projects related to MMA for example. if there is one but this is just an example. if the project is about tokenizing the PPV of UFC fights or something like that which the token can be use to pay the PPV and then Steven shall be the one who promotes the project. i might believe he understood some part of it at least.

3974  Other / Meta / Re: Can you create a signature campaign for OP posts? on: February 28, 2020, 07:09:27 PM

if you can make it a rule for your participants and they agree why not.

its very strategic for companies doing the signature camapigns. the title of the threads can be seen more by the google crawlers and index it, i think this is meant for getting more traffic not just to the forum but also visibility to the links in the OP. the first post is usually what is being read the most the 2nd page are almost not read when users already sees the answers to the question but if the original post is an article the better it is for page to appear in google searches.
3975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 28, 2020, 06:33:01 PM
for a crypto team, why choose Steven Seagal for a promotion?

i did a quick research its Bitcoiin2Gen that he promoted, we;ll not sure about it since its just a quick read. and I didn't fully read the whole article.  but what is surprising is that Steven was Charged for Unlawfully Promoting Cryptocurrency by SEC lol we he had settled it though
3976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of the Richest Man in Russia Launching his own Token on: February 27, 2020, 06:27:07 PM

just to use for his products, this must be a stablecoin.

nothing benefits his project but him alone. in order for him to make it at least has fluctuation for investors to watch for, he has to make it useful for the public. the token he is about to create will have a use case that's for sure, its going to be more useful if all his partners will also be using it.  but could they just be using blockchaiall these to evade?
3977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Simpsons talks about Cryptocurrency on: February 26, 2020, 06:16:32 PM
This cartoon gave a lot of surprises, after several predictions that managed to make the public quite confused, I think when this cartoon is talking about crypto is a natural thing. however, various industries there have begun to talk about crypto and incorporate crypto into the results of their industry.
I think there will be many cartoons like The Simpsons in the future that talk about crypto.

south park did it already that's when one of them was scammed by bitmex, i think it was about cryptocurrency asset manager or something that they compare investing in crypto like how it was during the early days of stocks trading. the family guy also featured btc when peter bought btc, not a second he just mention btc . still anything BTC and crypto being flash on tv is a good marketing.
3978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad News for Bitcoiners, The price will not go up at the Halving, but DOWN$! on: February 26, 2020, 05:16:36 PM

very different from what i foresee lol it doesn't really look like its a bull trap since the market had been overbought for weeks. obviously it has to go down first so we'll see.
$50B in less than a week.  for someone who had been trading for a while would still look at this as normal in crypto. doesn't happen in stocks unless company owners suddenly dies.  sold some and hope to see its bottom once again.
3979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the Black Americans on: February 24, 2020, 06:38:10 PM

ian balena is a popular black crypto investor and advisor. he has tons of followers in his youtube account and i guess an african american will always help an african american. its what usually happen we help our own and its not surprise for isaiah jackson to help spread to word to his fellow african american. Bitcoin doesn't learn whether a user is black or white, when a black man sends BTC to a white man is doesn't says NO, it just send out disregarding race.
3980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Good use for Laptops? on: February 24, 2020, 06:08:17 PM

proof of space is more profitable if you don't want to your laptop to easily worn out thru CPU mining. Storj has been around for years but i didn't got into it since i just look at it like filesharing system but turns out there's a lot more to it.  500GB of space is big enough to put use of the old laptops. newer devices today i think have more Terra and if one will be looking for opportunities without much work Storj could be one of the option.
