Is there a way to send payments to multiple addresses at once? I can write a script to harvest addresses from the block explorer then send them all payment in bulk. I would make the script freely available to others so they can send payments to miners who get 0 block rewards.

The wallet has a 'sendmany' function in the console. If you could make your script output in the correct format, this could be a great way to solve the current issues!

Help > Debug window > Console tab > Help

sendmany <fromaccount> {address:amount,...} [minconf=1] [comment]

How it works exactly I don't know, never used it but keep in mind there is a limit to block size (250kB I guess, check with dev).
3962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only on: January 26, 2014, 01:18:46 PM
I will also donate to anyone else who supports the network right now. I would need proof that you're on the network and that you've been hashing long enough to help move some blocks, but I am willing to give PMC to those that can point their hashpower at PMC.

Call it compensation for the low block rewards.

If there is a save way to do so i will donate more.
A way to support the miners would if we send coins with a high fee between our adresses.
Any other idea?

Use block explorer and send some coins to all miners who mined past blocks but received no coins at all. Start with blocks after
9249 since it is then when generation of coins stopped.

http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/Premine?hi=9255&count=20

Bellow is a link for block 9250 the first one without block reward. Miner got 0 coins. His address is bottom right on the webpage.

By the way, the difficulty will re-adjust, so the hashrate issue is temporary until it recalculates.

Yes, it will readjust but when? Can you wait a month to have 1 minute blocktime again? Even if you can, what is the value of a
coin that confirms tx every few hours? Let's see how it goes and how much time you people (not pointing finger at you, Nullu)
will need to start sending coins to addresses of blocks which are already mined, to stimulate past and present miners. Do not
send any more coins to me, if I am the last hope of this coin than I'll let it die. Let's do it as if I just lost electricity so that my
"massive" 1.65 GHashes are off the network. The last block took 15 minutes, I wanna find out how much time it'll take for let's
say next 10 blocks total.

I need re-captcha private/public api keys for the faucet, I can't be bothered signing up with those snoopy google bastards. If anyone can PM me the api keys I'll send 100 PMC to your address for your troubles.

https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create

What use of a faucet or anything else if almost no one is mining the coin? As far as I can see, block time increased to over 10
minutes, with one block taking almost 30 minutes to be mined. You morons really think people will waste hashpower for 0 coins
and 0 fees? Once you realise who is who and why in a crypotcoin pyramid, only then you might start working on actualy useful
stuff for this altcoin. Someone mentioned earlier to not bother with faucet but send some PMC to all miners by using addresses
of already mined blocks. There is no need for CAPTCHA (can be solved by BOTs) or any similar shits, just stimulate miners. They
are alpha and omega here. No mining means no coins move. All you morons who are hoarding should rethink your stupid actions.

193kycTAf45mS3CBH6b8whgBmhC6d7GfpY

Us "morons" know that the dev is releasing an updated wallet next week which will increase the TX fee issues, but if you'd read the thread, you'd know that.

Of course, the other hoarders are the real "morons". I would appreciate you differentiate us morons from those morons, as they are morons.

You can not force anyone to send coins. Enforcing higher default fee makes no difference if one is hoarding. But you are missing
my point here, there is already a problem of almost no one mining! I use 1.65 GHashes and out of 4 last blocks I mined 3 of them!
I have mined the last block at this point in time, got 0.02 PMC from tx fees ohhh let me buy a yacht or something ...

So clearly you already have:

1. A shitload of coins
2. A major issue that can be solved by sending coins to miners (not just me but everyone else who wasted hashpower for nothing).

Your next move is?

And no, do not count on me having hashpower added to PMC all times, I'm regulary switching coins and turn computer off overnight.

Hey I am interested, I just gotta figure out how to work my Nxt account and I can send a bit later.

Was just wondering, is the price bump effective already? I know you said 50 pages.... but there is a lot of junk and multiple posts by the same people that just bumps the price up... are you doing 50 pages or 50 pages of interested investors?(1000 post/people)

We are doing by pages. 10 pages = 200 posts but I target around 150 stakeholders because I have to go around banter and answer questions. Yeah these spammers take up spaces of stakeholders but since this thread is not moderated, I cannot do anything about it. Since the thread scam is nicely going, I am hesitated to move it; cos we may lose luck and momentum.

So I understand you but check the stakeholder list and you will see the number of stakeholders page by page.

Fixed.

The trolls are angry hahaha. Now I am sure we are really onto something. Continue to waste your times. We are NO ENVY and NO HATE.

You are scammers, and yes, you are onto something = a variation on a scams already seen around here. It will be remembered.

I would like to see more promotional effort and now promotional effort is worth 80NXT or 0.008BTC.

Gogo, put even more money into pocket of this guy. The more of you who will end up scammed the better! Hahha scam of the month!

The quality of these coins is just fantastic!

They look quite unpolished and rough to me. What size are they anyway? And why I have to bother with entering my (fake) info
before selecting payment and shipment methods? Such a system is totally customer-unfriendly. I'd like to know final price in few
easy and quick steps, forcing me to enter (fake) personal info into eight (8) input fields (!) just to check final price is retarded.

Completely Fair Distribution - Equal Shares for ALL

How come it is fair when some people got their share of coins for free but others have to pay more and more for the same? It is a scam!

Please no envy, no hate and be considerate to others.

Really? I am supposed to be considerate to others yet you are cashing on everyone who joined a bit late AND on "development" coins?
Who the fuck are you anyway? Can you "developers" code anything? I think not, you are waiting for NXT 0.6 to be released and then you
will make your own genesis block and do nothing but copy / paste what NXT developers are doing. Pretty much anyone around here can
do the same and as soon as someone who is greedy less than you puts out a clone "your" coin is about to be abandoned.

You are not after anything but making money off retards. Cool story on starting post (copy / paste much from NXT, I see) but fuck off!

Oh boy I feel this vircurex used to be pretty good but the withdrawal fee bothered me too much.

+1

I have 6+ BTC sitting in Vircurex for 15 days now and interest payments are still less than withdrawal fee (0.002 BTC). FRC withdraw
fee is so high that I can't withdraw my 8+ FRC at all! Many other coins I can't even sell because order value must be 0.0001 or higher,
fucking retarded shits! As soon I manage to withdraw all coins I'm not coming back, fuck you Vircurex!

3973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! WE HAVE LIFTOFF! on: January 22, 2014, 11:24:54 PM
Buy walls are not real, trade volume for past few days does not match bitcoins used to "buy" MOON. It is CoinEX manipulation, beware.

That buy wall is real. I could sell my 52million MOON now at that wall price and I'd get paid for them. It's real enough for me.

"I could sell" means you have no clue. Again, trade volume does not match situation with buy and sell orders = manipulation.

Block Time: 60 SECONDS
Retarget: NEVER

Fail. You are either dumb or doing it to scam people of their money through distribution of coins. You have been warned, tards!

Well, he's right. You can't set constant block time without difficulty retarget. Not with current PoW code.

Does this mean the network won't function properly ?

No, it doesn't mean the network doesn't function "properly" It is however a paradigm shift from what everybody is used to.

Paradigm shift? You better start with very high difficulty else network will be DDoSed to death immidiately by legit miners who
are having high hashrate. Super high chance for permenant 51% attack and some other inevitable issues ...

DO NOT SEND DEVELOPER ANY COINS FOR DISTRIBUTION, THIS COIN WON'T WORK!

Over and out.
3975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MOON] Mooncoin: You know where it's headed! WE HAVE LIFTOFF! on: January 22, 2014, 09:40:49 PM
i wonder if the wall is just a trick to maintain the focus on mooncoin, as the mooncoin suffers huge difficulty now. I hope i'm wrong, cause i sincerely love this coin. i will keep watching.
best wishes to the author, hope he'll be healthy very soon!

The wall is real. They are offering that price for 1,000,000,000 MOONs, that is real, you can sell as many moons as you wish now for that price.

It is real but it is most likely not just one person. Anyone wanting to buy at that price gets lumped into a single 'buy wall', making it look huge. I just bought another 20 million myself and was part of that wall for a bit.

Buy walls are not real, trade volume for past few days does not match bitcoins used to "buy" MOON. It is CoinEX manipulation, beware.

Hi, everyone!

Something is wrong with BTER.COM

60K NXT was sent to bter yesterday, but still not available on balance. blockchain says transfer was successful.
Support haven't answered yet.

Found different posts concerning bter balance problems here at BT.
Seems like they are scamming people.

Edit: my deposit that I sent about 9 hours ago just came through.

Just like DGEX, Bter wanna hold as much NXT as they can get for (very) long period of time to earn money on transaction fees.

first of all id like to report that i have been forging with 5.5 client for a week now and no errors and no restart was needed but no blocks were generated with about 150k. normal ?

No one should be using anything but 0.5.9 now!

The Transparent Forging phase 2 will be activated at block 47000 which is approaching. Those still using older versions will be left out on a fork. Those using 0.5.7 are broadcasting malformed blocks and transactions and will be blacklisted. 0.5.8 is ok, but 0.5.9 is much more stable, there is no excuse not to upgrade.

I reserve the right to run 0.6.0 myself.

the excuse is that we have a life too and work and families and we can't log every 2h to update the client that is not backwards compatible.
this only happens with nxt almost all other clients and software for that matter can "last" more than 2 weeks without "urgent need to upgrade otherwise you get blacklisted and forked".

Having a normal life and participating in a groundbreaking almost alpha-stage (something) never worked well and it never will.

0.5.9 is available since 19-Jan-2014 11:05, 0.5.8 is available since 16-Jan-2014 20:06. It is nowhere near "every 2h to update".
3978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FireFlyCoin Launched! on: January 22, 2014, 08:13:51 AM
The best and worst thing of this coin, is the limits of the coin itself...

300 Billion...
- The bad/neutral (Essentially it is unlimited, in our lifetime.)
- The good/neutral (Fixed production per year, makes it easy to judge value based off network hashing.)

Sha256...
- The bad/neutral (Value based on potential "short-term" hyper-miners, big-dogs with big-toys.)
- The good/neutral (Not limited by a death-trend of scrypt-miners, adding to global pollution/waste.)

Block-adjusts at 4-blocks...
- The bad/neutral (Instant high-value triggers mining-vampires, causing auto-dump of mined coins, lowering value.)
- The good/neutral (Instant diff-up triggers mining-garlic, and encourages better rewards for steady miners.)

In my eyes, like bottle-caps and hobo-nickles, in scrypt, this coin is where my dedicated ASIC's will be, in the future.

You have to ignore the "lows" you see now. There is no real volume traded there. This is from the instant-cash-outs from the vampire miners. Buy those low valued coins while you can. I guarantee you won't regret it come income-tax time, and on next-years spikes. But don't let the price get too high, too fast... or you just encourage more vampire-miners, and end-up paying more for their cheap unsupportive asses.

Instead, throw more miners at it, hold (as most are doing), and keep the apparent "now-value" low, to keep the vampires away.

Services are coming, and will come, and the community IS supporting the coin. Just don't expect explosive growth over-night. There is a lot going on in with a lot of coins. Once one coin gets setup, it only takes them a minute to add another through the exchanges API. You just have to remember... The more people USE the coin, the more the value seems to DROP, as USE = CASHING-OUT, which moves the charts down, not up. (Someone is buying those coins, and they will have to accept that price, or higher to get gains. If you are smart, you buy those low ones, which makes the instant cash-outs pay more.)

Just like I did with bottle-caps, I will be doing the same with this coin. However, like bottle-caps, few, if any, will see what work I do. (My bots do all the work for me, on the exchanges. Usually just buying coins, but they sell too, if someone attempts to unnaturally pump the market. Fast rises only hurt.)

I will be posting some ideas, beyond my actions, for anyone to consume. As long as it helps Firefly Coin.

Very good post but one thing is problematic there and it is volume of some particular coin you will end up with. If you buy FFC
for let's say 0.1 BTC total and get as much FFC through mining that would be 0.2 BTC which are already not so easy to cash-out.
If you go crazy with buying and mining you might end up with so many coins that even if price rises 100x afterwards you would
still be negative because you would not be able to cash-out enough to cover your investment. Buy for 5 BTC and mine equally
enough means you have to sell 10 BTC worth of FFC once price goes up 100x to cover your investment but that might not be
easy at all because that much FFC might be more than market can consume without you negatively affecting the price. Even if
you manage to do it what about your other 990 BTC worth of FFC? At that point in time market would need to buy 990 BTC worth
of FFC at the same price for you to make 100x profit off the whole deal. They would be an overinvestment.

Investing big into something makes sense only if you are counting on big increase in price and trade volume.
