3961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may test a resistance soon at $14K to $13K before reaching to $20K on: November 18, 2020, 06:25:10 AM
Bitcoin may test a resistance soon at $14K to $13K before reaching to $20K

It is likely that bitcoin may test a resistance soon to around $14K to $13K before reaching to $20K support zone so trade with caution. It is because there are more holders who are still waiting to sell it on $20K so it is possible that bitcoin may test a resistance before reaching to $20K level to avoid the panic sell otherwise the scenario may be same as of 2017 because of panic sell it took around 2 years to reach to this level again.
What?

Bitcoin was higher than $18k minutes ago and if you wanted to say something with $13k or $14k, it is supports, not resistance. The resistance for bitcoin is $19k or $20k. Three year resistance and it was not touched last 3 years. Bitcoin is closest to that resistance after 3 years.

Bitcoin Support and Resistance for dummies
Bitcoin testing the support at $16K to $17K is much more feasible than the $13K to $14K mentioned by the OP considering the volatility of the price which was very massive in recent days, the price reaching $20K in the next few days to come is very much in sight and I don't think the price will  experience the massive dump or pull back like of 2017 based on some positive fundamentals factors surrounding the recent upsurge example like PayPal adoption of cryptos, halving of bitcoin, more people embracing bitcoin instead of fiat while avoiding physical contact with it due to Covid-19 etc.

Cryptocurrency: Bitcoin hits three-year high as investors jump in
Bitcoin, the world's best-known cryptocurrency, has jumped above $17,000 (£12,800) to hit a three-year high.

The digital currency has suffered plenty of wild price swings since it was launched in 2009.

But investors have been flocking to cryptocurrencies during the pandemic-driven volatility on global stock markets.

However, experts have cautioned about viewing them as a "safe haven".
transactions'
On Wednesday, Bitcoin had climbed more than 7% to $17,891, its highest level since December 2017.

Some analysts said the Covid-19 pandemic has encouraged investors to reassess the long-term outlook for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

But there are still concerns about the fraudulent trading in cryptocurrencies following a succession of high-profile hacks.

'Bouncing like a yo-yo'
During times of volatility, investors tend to move their money out of shares and into what are considered safer havens, like cash and gold.

Some feel cryptocurrencies are now being viewed as a shelter from stock market volatility.

A due nightmare match for Germany! They lost the match against Spain with 6 conceded goals and did not score a single goal. With the win, Spain has a spot in last final four of National League.

Who is Ferran Torres? I did not know that player before he scored a hattrick in that match. He is a right winger and a young player after I search with Wiki.

Morata 17'
Ferrán Torres 33', 55', 71'
Rodri 38'

Ferran Torres was singed by Man City the youngstar has not been playing regularly for his club due to the presence of the duo of Aguero and Gabriel Jesus who had much experience, however he will surely take his chances in his club when the opportunity comes Guordiola will give him the chance because he is also a good  striker, scoring a hat trick against a highly rated German side is not an easy feat.
Spain walloping Germany is quite an embarrassing defeat the German fell like a pack of card the duo of Werner & Serge Gnabri couldn't rescure their team.
3964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Low, Sell High on: November 17, 2020, 06:58:58 PM
That's what happens because they basically buy based on news and trends, if those bad trends and news make people rethink buying when it is obvious they are low value. At the same time they are aware that a potential recovery is coming, but they are still reluctant to buy because they may be worried or wait for lower prices. It is not surprising to me, because buying when the price is pumping is the time when people become FOMO, whereas if one is aware that buying at a high price will cause more concern because a cryptocurency market crash could happen at any time.
That is why I don't like to read bad news and negative public misconception about bitcoin, when the price dumped I always have a positive feelings that the price recovery is imminent based on the price history however misleading news from some speculators will always discourage me and cause confusions because some the news are contradictory thus make me to be hesitant and doubtful in buying at that moment when the price is low.
Now I have move on and made up my mind to follow my strategy without any form of external input in form of news that might make or mar my decision to buy or not to buy because of the implication of buying at high.
3965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US stimulus package of $1,200 now worth $3,000 (Bitcoin store of value) on: November 17, 2020, 05:28:00 AM
Do not forget to take profits when you have them in hand. With how volatile the market is, you can't be too sure the price will continue this bullish momentum more since it hasn't really have a decent correction in recent weeks. It is up 100%+ year to date but only had 10-20% corrections back in September. Congrats on getting the win on your wise decision. Investing wisely supercedes saving or using it.
This is a wise advise to the OP to atleast take profits now and leave the real amount of the invested fund, although the overall market outlook of Bitcoin is very bullish, nevertheless  'A Bird in the Hand is Worth Two in the Bush' the market is unpredictable anything can happen so to be on a safer side take your gain now afterall the stimulus package is a palliative not a repayable loan that was given out by US government to cushion the effect of this pandemic.

I wasn't surprise with England losing two goals down against the well organized Belgium,  the English team had been parading bunch of overrated players who cannot match Belgium despite all the media hypes and attention given to them in EPL. it was Jack Grealish that performed excellently well and was technically sound, both Rashford and sterling became shadow of former self they hardly tested Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, despite their holding possession and their hope of reaching the Nation league final is now dashed.
3967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 16, 2020, 04:38:29 AM
I believe that most of us are losing money in sports betting, but I'd like to know based on what you read and your experience (if you have) the reasons why we are losing. Personally, I've been gambling for years, I'm just an ordinary gambler who can't be too serious with gambling, but I can't deny that I have been losing money more than I win.

Share some tips to win or to minimize losing?
______

This thread is open for the winners and losers.
You can only have an edge in winning in sport betting if can stick with the sport you are well versed or knowledgeable in it else you may continue to lose your bets, avoid gambling randomly without being focus on a particular sport.
Personally my own prefernce in sport betting is soccer beside being a soccer fan, I have the ability of predicting some matches based on both team to score, goals below or above certain range  e.t.c resarching on various.teams is also very helpful in placing my bet.
In soccer betting you can win consistently with 2.0 to 3.0 odds without much risk.
3968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Reinforced by the pandemic on: November 16, 2020, 02:23:43 AM
From my own point of view, I believed that lockdowns and restrictions imposed on many people by government to avoid contacting the virus provided opportunities for them to research more about Bitcoin probably enables   newbies investors to invest for a trial and also avoiding physical contact with Fiat in a bid to purchasing stuff online culminated to many people diverting their attention toway Bitcoin as an alternative digital currencies all these factors could be responsible for Bitcoin bullish runs, buyers are always in the market in these pandemic period, I think the price will not dump at this point in time despite the minor pullbacki experienced by the price few days ago.
3969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public perception of Bitcoin as payment method (survey) on: November 15, 2020, 12:45:21 PM
So long a survey, above all it quite interesting to answer some salient questions, the fact is that a lot of businesses and organisations will continue to adopt Bitcoin as means of payment in the coming years.
Another point raised in the survey is the difficulties in understanding how to use Bitcoin, internet has made it easier made provision of resources on that topical issues thus its left to any  cryptos enthusiast willing individual to learn and put them to use,
I also agreed to setting up a Bitcoin wallet is faster than that of a bank account that will demand for KYC and related documents.
3970  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be dumping soon - What do you say regarding the chart? on: November 15, 2020, 05:54:55 AM
In the last few days ago BTC/USD had been overbought with reference to 4 Hour, Daily and weekly charts as indicated by RSI its obvious that a sudden dump is very imminent, I am not surprise happen now, it bound to happen, however the pullback might be shortlive because the market is still very bullish, the might touch the last support at $15565 and resume the uptrend continuation, there are positive fundamental news relating to BTC, I don't conceive or envisage the price to dump massively to $14K.
3971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: November 15, 2020, 02:38:23 AM
after two missed penalties, Spain just scored, and it is now 1:1 with Swiss
as of now, all teams scored at least a goal in League A, expect for Portugal
i was expecting a lot from Portugal, they have some really good players, i think their team now is better than the team who won the Euro in 2016
but somehow they couldn't manage to score and lost against France today, really disappointing.

i have lost a good multiple bet, germany, france and Spain, i can't believe whe i see Ramos missed 2 penalties, after having missed the first, in my opinion he should not have shot the second, but that wouldn't have changed the game.
next game Germany - Spain will be really fun

The first penalty was a bit good, It was the Swiss keep that made a great save, but the second penalty was awful to say the least, seemed Ramos was second guessing himself. He's had such a great run from the 12 yard spot, missing 2 penalties in one night was really weird.
Ramos really fumbled with the two penalties, the first one was not too fast that gave Swiss goalkeeper the chance of pushing the ball away, the second one wasn't the best at all missing two penalties in a match is just a coincidence it can happen to any good player, Ramos had a bad day that is football for you,  at least spain earning a draw in that match is a big relief to them rather than losing to a low rated Switzerland.
3972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are now low.. take advantage of bech32 full segwit and save on: November 14, 2020, 07:16:41 AM
Why big exchanges as binance still dont support segwit?
I am also looking forward to when binance will features segwit support in their exchange this had been long overdue considering their huge numbers of customers or users.

as of Fri Nov 13 05:12:46 UTC 2020
blocks were not full (block#656695, 656702,.. )
mempools are well within 5MByte

time to consolidate coins or reduce fee paid in your future transactions by converting non segwit coins into full segwit.
The first time I started using a segwit support or enabled wallet I became an instant user, the reduced fee is coming at time when I needed to do some transactions I am happy that the transactions will be Swift with a reduced fees I knew the huge price I usually pay as transactions fees in my previous non segwit supported wallet especially during the bullish period, I hope the reduced price will continue for long period of time.
3973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 14, 2020, 04:23:28 AM
US election has come and gone and a winner had already emerged, I don't think the outcome of this election will have any  positive or negative impact on gambling industries except of there is a total ban or some regulations in US gambling Industries which is very unlikely,  the government of the day do generate income from  taxes imposed on gambling industries and these industries had never been a security threat to US government.
3974  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden and Cryoto on: November 14, 2020, 01:23:46 AM
Whether it's Trump's or Biden's administration, I don't care, all I know is that bitcoin will still keep breaking limits, we don't need any of them to know where crypto is heading to, just like we didn't need them years back, cryptocurrency is way bigger than these two people it's global now and it is a decentralized currency so all people who use will decide if it will keep prospering or not, even Trump who is an anti crypto  couldn't stop it from prospering, so we don't need these two to know the fate of crypto.

I also don't think they will have significant impact on the current state of crypto. Because they will not directly support the usage of crypto or bitcoin for some reasons like not to disrupt the current financial system. So for me, with or without him, our crypto activity will go on and continue to thrive. BTC already reached this far without their support, so don't think we will need them to move forward.
If Trump administration despite his influence and as a head of a world power could not take any negative decision against Bitcoin even though he is not a fan of Bitcoin neither will Biden administration take any decisive action against it too.
A supporter of Biden donated some amount of funds toward his campaign with Bitcoin, his administration will quite  lend his support towards cryptos, I believed his coming to power will ensure formulating new policies that will ensure more growth and adoption of Bitcoin.
3975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Extreme greed on the market on: November 13, 2020, 05:43:54 AM
Hey guys,
By recent Fear&Greed Index bitcoin is in extreme greed area, usually it's a sign of decline in price or even crash. I've been observing this index for quite some time and find it pretty accurate, of course it doesn't give you the exact day or time but it indicates the sentiment on the market. Do you ever use this index in your trading analysis?

Just like funding rate and long vs. short data, it's good to keep an eye on it. It's good for giving a warning of impending capitulation or blow-off top, yes.

Unfortunately, it can be deceptive. I can't tell you the number of times I've heard "the index is greedy, we need a correction!" and then the correction doesn't come until price is 20-30% higher.

Sentiment works a lot like momentum oscillators like RSI and such. During a range market, it's safe and sensible to sell overbought and oversold levels. However during a very strong trend, momentum can become embedded in overbought or oversold zones for a long time. In the same way, during a very strong bull trend, the market can remain "greedy" for quite some time before the eventual crash comes.

To put it more simply: it's pretty difficult to trade based on sentiment alone because it's difficult to time. You'll want to look for other technical reversal signs too.
People thinks that bitcoin is now in overbought area where they thought that any time a retracement or a dump that may happen but it is just a myth, when it comes to a trending cryptocurrencies; the overbought and oversold is not working. Actually the bitcoin is really indicating a bullish sign because it is now consolidating above RSI 70 which means the trend is really strong. The overbought area and oversold is only working when the market is non trending or it is in sideways wherein if the RSI touch the RSI 70 expect that the price will make a swing down while if the price touch the RSI 30 Expect a swing high that will happen. But in this case, it is not working because the bitcoin is currently trending.
When a market is oversold or overbought two scenario tend to happen firstly the market might experience a minor pullback or retracement before continuation in the previous direction or a total reversal will ensured.
Bitcoin is in overbought regions presently confirmed with RSI with 4 hour, daily and weekly timeframe however its quite difficult to envisage that its going to dump based on that indicator we should remember that 'price is the king', you really nailed it here that trending cryptos markets doesn't correlate with or obeys overbought and oversold decisions, personally I will wait for the retracement and re-enter the market based on Price Action while taking profits at the appropriate zones.
3976  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic: good for the bitcoin market or bad? on: November 13, 2020, 03:57:06 AM
This pandemic is very good for the bitcoin market, it is proven that currently, the price is rising so fast I think the current market is in a positive condition and the volume is getting higher. Not only that, the attractiveness of investors is getting bigger at this time of the pandemic, bitcoin is increasingly known and is the center of attention today.
To be fair bitcoin market hasn't done badly in this pandemic, many critics of bitcoin expectation was that the price will crash in the wake of the first wave of Covid-19 just like the rush to sell gold by many investors, however bitcoin survived against all odds and despite a major pullback or retracement to $3K+ due to the devastating damages and effects of the pandemic on stock and commodities market, bitcoin came out unscathed thus becomes investors choice for investment and probably avoiding physical contact with fiat had due to restrictions pushed a lot of investors and individuals to digital currency i.e bitcoin as a choice for online transactions and shopping.
3977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: November 13, 2020, 02:25:29 AM
The only good thing about yesterday was Ronaldo scoring goal 746 and he tie with Puskas for the 4th all-time scorer.

He now needs
21 goal to tie with Pele
26 goals to tie with Romario
59 goals to be number 1 in the world.

He can probably do this in the next 2 years in Juventus with the club, in the next nation League and in the next Euro 2020 2021.

The risk is that he will passed soon later by Messi, he is 2 years younger   Angry
Messi is two years younger but could retire from football before c,ronaldo does, take zlatan ibrahimovic some of his juniors has retired from football but he looks fit enough to have a go at another season after this one finishes and its top flight, c,ronaldo has the strength to do so and also messi minus injuries, this two are the greatest and they will have their separate world record that the other person can't break.
Its obvious that c.ronaldo will break those records before his retirement from active soccer the dude work rate is superb and goal scoring rate is high, he is likely to attain that milestone ahead of Messi, even despite the fact that age is not on his side, he is firing at all cylinders, an indication that he will still be active I'm many more years to come.
Meanwhile Messi might not the strength to continue  playing active soccer like Ronald its very glaring that its not the usual Messi we use to see in those days in Barcelona.
3978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the new US administration be friendly to bitcoin? on: November 12, 2020, 05:47:25 PM
Whether Biden is friendly to bitcoin or not, bitcoin has come to stay, despite the fact that Trump said he is not a fan of bitcoin in the middle of 2019 I envisaged that his comment will have a negative impact on the price then, the price just experienced a minor dump before the upward resumed, even in the aftermath of the US election the price had continue to wax stronger and pump, when Biden finally assume the mantle of leadership in state I believed that the Status quo remain the same. I am speculating that more adoption of the coin by many US based organizations based on the fact that some of his campaign donors utilized bitcoin.
3979  Economy / Economics / Re: Hoping that its the end of corona virus on: November 12, 2020, 05:42:34 AM
Unfortunately, that's the struggle that our country is going through. People are suffering more not just because of the pandemic but because of corrupt leaders. Instead of helping people, they're using our national funds for their own purposes. They're taking advantage of the situation which is making the pandemic crisis worse. I think even when the pandemic ends, the corruption would still continue to foster in our country.
Yeah, some politicians are even showing more damage to the economy than corona virus actually did just so that they can hide their own mistakes and poor decisions in past. They are trying to make it look like corona virus is the only reason behind the poor economic structure but the truth is while virus is a reason but it is not the only one.

Vaccines are just the solution, and it will take time to get them to the world, which can take several years.
The world economy is a chain of supply and demand, and it is like the ecosystems of the entire earth.
Also it is not easy to get the vaccine in bulk quantities so I think only higher sector/society will get to use these vaccines first and in the second stage maybe everyone gets access to it.

There are still a lot of conspiracy theories about the coronavirus.  nothing is clear.  only what we know is that countries had a hard time economically in this war.  I think finding the vaccine is an important development.  I hope it will fix everything before things get worse
Even after everything is sorted I believe it will take years to stabilize the falling economy and that is once the vaccine is in and the virus is out which still isn't certain yet.
I'm certain that the vaccine will already available next January 2021, because for sure that time many pharma will able to finish the phase 3 which are the human trials. They will going for sure in phase 4 where they will mass produce the vaccine that they made. The economy is now starting to recover and the good thing is our government is starting to control the virus where the active cases are continuing to go down even though there is still no vaccine. I do not believe in conspiracy theory especially if it is about the virus; I just following the advices of the professionals out there because they are disseminating information with backup data and facts and not just about the theory that created by some people.
EU had already ordered for 300m doses https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/amp/world-europe-54902056 I believed inoculation will start immediately when the vaccine is ready I believed the human trials had been concluded that is why the cheering news was revealed and it made a lot of headlines globally consequently made an instant impact in all markets.
Pfitger must have began mass production of the vaccine the fact the it has 90% efficacy and trials made on some people was very successful.
I agreed that it will take time before economies of many countries ridden by this virus to improve however there light at the end of the tunnel.
3980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 12, 2020, 04:22:42 AM
Right before the break due to these nations league games the table looks like this:
~
Never would of thought the team on top of the table would be Leicester city and Tottenham and Southampton in the top 5.
Just hope not more players get injured during these games until the Premier league starts back up on the 21st again. Undecided

As I have said so often already, this season is completely open. Corona mixes the cards. Basically half teams of the league have the chance to win the championships this season. We have seen so many surpises already and we will see many more surprises. Not only in the Premier League but also in the Champions Leauge.
Most of the major premier league teams are struggling to fight for this championship and it's a big surprise that the bottom half have started to show their good performance, Leicester were able to survive last season and now will he be a trophy this season?

I still doubt Mancity and Liverpool to be at the top of their defeat also make a lot of fans disappointed because a few mistakes can cause them to fall, I see LaLiga, the premier league, UCL are the same if you pay attention.
The problem with Leicester is that they lack consistency towards the end of EPL, last season was a good example, they flopped in a bid to qualify for top four and UCL, more so they don't have a depth squad that can challenge or match other top teams for EPL trophy, if James vardy is injured their will become weak.
It quite interesting to see teams who are usually underperformers making top 10 in EPL
Liverpool and Man City will improve and probably battle for the trophy once they pick form I couldn't see any other team that give them run of their money this season.
