3981  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 08, 2022, 02:23:46 AM
Omnicrom is a bad flu, any normal year I'd say terrible but in contrast to the more lethal prior variants Im almost willing to say its a slight positive.   Still markets will naturally pull back from the highs and Dollar index is higher now then its been for a while, there is fear overall.   However DXY is not beating the highs of July 2020 so I'm not that apprehensive bigger picture, we are talking about speculative moves.

Right now I'm looking for a bounce back upwards.   The rejection of highs is what indicates future lows, we havent yet tested that yet so dont be quite so negative in this exact moment is my take.   See if we can beat the 2 day average we are close to

That's basically my story. I joined Freebitco.in without knowing almost anything about Bitcoin
I said similar before, this site or any others that ironically might appear to deal the smallest of customer revenues (some whales but tons are here for faucet use) is actually totally important to Bitcoin.    People are focused on whales or someone like Elon Musk and his comments, the real driving force will be the smallest but millions of people involved with BTC who go from zero upto some level of involvement and usage.   The reason being the fastest growth in an economy is always the smallest elements who can double revenue overnight potentially, it applies to mainstream dollar or here in crypto if those people cannot make use of your product dont expect success or growth especially.
Somehow a faucet site with various bets is high utility compared to the obstacle of fees and wallet hassles on most sites; they can do that later with more confidence but anywhere like this site thats a gateway is vital imo to BTC continuing to be more successful every year or just exist at all imo.

We've had the falls in BTC price that was missing to the December end month price bet.  The basic rule I keep is price doesnt move in straight lines, not without quite alot of force to it so a move back up is quite reasonable  Price tends to go in loops, it was sideways to end Dec so its fallen off and done something different now.  We've gone full loop from Sept to new ATH and right back down, I reckon for Jan it becomes we once again repeat price action and return upwards.   Its always unlikely in theory but the odds are reasonable value for predicting BTC stays volatile day to day and we can rise as high as the 50 day average or even the ATH area.   I'll put some bet down now, maybe add when I've decided if we are 'acting' well or not
3983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin first week price speculation on: January 07, 2022, 03:41:32 PM
September lows or July lows to be most relevant in arresting this drop is what I'm looking for.   There's always a good reason to sell and there are alot of traders who use borrowed money and sell every friday for sure, there are fears of sharper FED policy but its not here yet and they continue to dilute the monetary base.  Its speculation, I think they are easy money for some time yet because the FED has little else as a policy or tool apparently.
It'll find a bottom around 40k I think and then could rise back to the 50 day average, thats quite a range but Bitcoin can and has done this previously.
3984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: January 06, 2022, 01:24:09 PM
If you are a big fan of the original trilogy

Its hard to remake an original without requiring or having further story to structure the whole movie around.    The thing I took away from the original Matrix films was despite being an action movie it was also with a quite deep core message.  Not everyone will agree with me but I believe a few have said it relates to eastern Buddhism and inner reflection to greater consciousness, not just a small theme but quite massive.  I dont know who managed to put that theme into an action movie but it was well done and to say its hard to remake would be an epic understatement.
Its safe to say it will not qualify for an oscar unless anyone can discern some technical expertise award especially.

3985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 05, 2022, 11:39:41 PM
The size is impressive but I want to hear the thinking behind each bet, why it was worth the risk or better then the odds most had given the game.    I'd congratulate someone just the same who bet a dollar a game for the same wins, some people are just for fun some are willing and able to risk it all Smiley
3986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 05, 2022, 12:41:25 AM
I didnt expect it directly in that year but some did say BTC could reach these higher prices on a longer term view.   The trigger would seem to be the massive amount of money printing that occurred in 2020, as that circulated it allowed BTC to rise end of that year into 2021.   The biggest rises do take time, that why I think people were rushing too much in their expectations for an exact date to follow directly after what was already exceptional rises.
It might take this whole year, maybe the next to develop and give hope of another bigger rise like we have seen.  Its best not to rely on such things occurring when wanted, I do wonder if El Salvador suffers if price lingers lower for months on end or its no problem.
3987  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: January 04, 2022, 11:59:31 PM
This could easily end up as hopeless an aspiration as the 100k in 2021 target was.    Theres no excuse to believe in this for now and I wont change my mind till it starts acting far more positively.    BTC is volatile, it may do anything and rise rapidly true enough but its not a positive to be erratic and unpredictable.
Any reasonable projection right now would not say FEB has a new all time high.

We have declining volume with the price, a double negative may yet see price attempt higher.  There will be selling to challenge that higher pricing also imo

It appeared I did bet wrong. Smiley The price was around $46k at midnight on the 31st of December. Super close to "$40,001 - $45,000" range, but not exactly there. And, no, I didn't bet on the "$45,001 - $50,000" range because of the 5.10x multiplier, too small for a New Year's Eve miracle.

I 'fragment' my bets for this reason.  So I put some across the ranges so I just earn my bets back and its just a small win and then the larger amount on my target.   The ideal is not the 5x winnings, sometimes its too predictable in the movement and its not worth going out on a limb.   Other times I hope to be paying attention when we are on a cliff top or vice versa and rapid change can occur with even 100x possible, that has to be worth a punt Smiley   Just some of it is patience knowing when its even possible as an occurrence.
3989  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin now officially in Bear-Market: -20% down - Dropping like a Rock on: January 04, 2022, 09:21:58 AM
I would not advise judging Bitcoin as if it were a stock index in terms of defining 20% the confirmation of a bear market with crypto destined to form a negative trend.   Bitcoin often pulls back this amount due to its greater volatility.   BTC better resembles a commodity, a security established commodity not physical but the swings it sees in demands resembles very much what I see all the various sometimes seasonal commodities.
All we are doing presently is pulling back to September price levels which might be of some disappoint but doesn't qualify as severe overall.   I always take at least a year context for pricing, its been far more positive then I imagined possible.

3991  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin first week price speculation on: January 03, 2022, 11:59:43 PM
I remain open to positive price action even with the negative sentiment apparent, mainly because we have outrun the initial sell off from the ATH.  It does seem we have alot of doubt in the price currently.  40k is my rough target down similar to September lows but for proper break down we must first test 50 day average imo.   Hitting that 'wall' with confirmation to speculators that price action upwards was limited, could then be enough to trigger greater pressure on price downwards.
Im not sure this week literally counts as some of the main trading days are holidays in some countries.   The first clear week of January without any holidays might be more significant with higher volume.

if bitcoin does not reach ATH the altcoins then there is no chance of having ATH

That would appear so but the strange dynamic I've noticed for years now is 'alt coin season' can often follow  BTC peak, why we cant know exactly but I presume the money once its within this economic sector then is more likely circulate and distribute to all the other possibilities.  Alt coins do try to innovate and attract users from a variety of efforts and promotions, some of that is successful in attracting people and even the features are correct in being superior to BTC in some way; in the end the master key to blockchains is the long term security which BTC is hard to beat on.
I do wonder what happens with ETH and how that feeds back to BTC, a tandem between the two could be constructive in some way possibly .  I appreciate innovation and I think it remains necessary in and outside of BTC blockchain itself.

The problem with retiring racing drivers is their whole mindset is dedicated towards their sport, so how easily can he walk away when its in his head for life.   Theres no way he should just exit straight from the top like that, I know its like a classic saying but its such a waste of talent.   He can carry on setup or help any team he likes over many years with his reputation, experience and skills.  Alot of the sport is in the car but imo he remains a threat for many years so long as he retains the patience to put in the effort.   He could cross to Nascar or similar, thats more likely and profitable even.
3994  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 03, 2022, 11:31:56 PM
BTC in 2022 for 100k is not an impossibility but obviously there is an entire journey ahead such that I would not predict it for so little a time frame as just 12 months.    Consolidation is not weakness, its necessary revision before prices can develop further usually upward as trends for BTC long term has shown.   We have lost the 50 day average and for momentum that is required to be especially optimistic but over the course of an entire year then it would not be sufficient gauge, the 200 day average is rising and personally I take the 50 week average (strong rise) as inclusive of main markets too.
3995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport's betting experience on: January 03, 2022, 11:16:22 PM
Live betting can be very profitable if you are more certain of the game then those who fear losing their bet, you take part in that premium of them closing a bet early and its usually more rewarding to do well then betting long before the game.   Makes spectating with some insight an enjoyable thing to do, also slightly frantic as the odds are constantly changing but I like how the odds flip during the game events.
3996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: January 03, 2022, 11:12:01 PM
A few people can see a benefit if they are better then the crowd and its that kind of game, professional poker players exist though I would not presume to be that good.   Some just have a better then average run on sports betting, its not usual but really not impossible.

when it will be impossible to determine where you are - in the metaverse or the real world.

That'd be confusing, I think we'll just get to movie effects quality in gaming but the difference will still be noticeable and thats probably for the best.  The most interesting developments to me is in latency and dynamic capability of online multiplayer especially and I do expect gambling to be part of that as an option.   Risk is a normal feature of gaming, not usually for profit or money really just the risks we cant take normally but also gaming and gambling have similar paths increasingly ever since slot games came into electronics and benefitted makers and players with variety.
3997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: January 03, 2022, 10:54:51 PM
We are in a daily range for now, today its bottom of that range and overall it appears badly in some decline but still I dont presume we simply fail downwards as that is the most predictable action and BTC volatility says we are most biased to do the unexpected quite often.

When you blame everyone but not yourself, you are really not on the way to healing, because there is still denial

The way to recognize the overall problem would be over a lifetime of avoiding this mistake and to not repeat it.    So I would have to agree with the above comment that the mistake is more likely to be solved by taking onboard the mistake personally and accepting the loss is part of the price to avoid future losses.  The lifetime achievement of getting past this is far bigger then the loss for just this occasion, its worth accepting the mistake personally.
I agree you should not be getting promotional emails at all, really this cant be allowed to get through from any company.  That does need to be addressed separately and I would recommend something like gmail as an email client that can filter emails, block this kind of thing as part of a safe internet policy that companies do advance as a requirement or basic feature.  Dont rely on just one element or company as obviously multiple avenues exist to gamble so a general approach will be needed.
3999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just seeing what interest there is for another Betnomi Poker Series on: January 03, 2022, 09:28:40 PM
Im interested though I dont know for sure I will regularly attend or not but certainly if I have the time I cant see why not as I play Poker for fun anyway, send me or post the affiliate link to sign up with please.   Was it Betnomi I played previously and came 2nd or 3rd I think it was, end of series free roll.   I will have to practice a bit and get back upto speed.  I do imagine there is a vast number of casuals who should be practicing and then are more likely to step up and partake properly, some people have a talent and dont know it yet; its not too big a game to (re)learn quite quickly.
4000  Economy / Gambling / Re: NITROGEN SPORTS | Over $14K in BTC Prizes on Nitro's Holiday Spectacle 🎅💰 on: January 03, 2022, 09:17:07 PM
The roll over will vary by company but the first time deposit thing I've seen often, apparently because its related to security.   One time roll over is unfortunate if you thought it was a completely simple offer but obviously the company is trying to gain customers and valid revenue so its not too surprising its a thing and one time is relatively light compared to some places.    One time I had a free offer which of course is very generous but it was something like 20 or 40 times roll over before I was allowed to actually use the money off site, somehow I managed that so cant complain about any offer but hopefully it is stated and known before people invest their time and make assumptions about the time frame they will be allowed to spend not just gamble the winnings.
Because its so common somebody should know the best route specifically to get through your roll over with the most even odds, least hassle.
