The Bitcrate site was reeeally slow to load... just to find out they are still empty.

The tendrawbtc.com scratchoff site shows this message:  "This Account Has Been Suspended"

Not that I will really miss it if has gone away.  I think I won twice there and the first time I didn't get paid for it.   lol
3982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I optimize my 5870 GPU for max MH/s? Overclocking safe? on: October 24, 2012, 04:20:02 PM
I get ~440 MH/s when I overclock my 5870, but I don't mine 24/7 and don't bother OC'ing anymore.
I get ~375 MH/s without overclocking.

I probably won't bother mining for much longer ( I will finally be able to get back to what I bought that card for in the first place - game development with the C4 engine.   Wink )
Instead I will be getting bitcoins every month as a dividend from the shares I bought in Havelock Investments Mining Fund

Maybe I will look to buy an asic... later... after they have proven themselves... after those companies will have to slash their prices to stay in business... after the difficulty skyrockets...   lol

hello,

MtGox account needed to redeem the code one receives.

is there any kind of limitation on redeeming this codes?

what i mean is, this site gives 1 code / 24h

but in MtGox only could redeem the first one.

now, in the redeem codes tab only shows: You don't have any pending redeem codes

any advice ?

tia

edit:

Add Funds > Redeem Mt.Gox Code duh
right in front of my eyes and i couldn't see it. sorry about that. wow i really need to sleep   Roll Eyes

Glad you got it figured out.   Smiley

And it should be noted about those codes that they have an expiry date ( 24 hrs? 48 hrs? ) and so one shouldn't hold on to them too long before redeeming them.

http://kickme.to/sexy-bitcoins is still not added to list.

Can you explain how one gets 'free' bitcoins from that site?  I don't see how one gets any bitcoins period.
I just see 4 links to porn sites.

So cambda do you also change the focus to some other app or minimize the browser or something similar while the video plays?

Yes I changed focus most of the time in the past.

For today test I viewed 5 videos in IE 8.0 and 5 videos in Google Chrome 22.0, and I never ever changed focus from the browser. I did use different bitcoin address for every browser, and the videos were different so should not flag me as a cheat attempt. But not lucky this time as well, 0 payments received.

Hmm...
Were any of them ones you hadn't seen before?  I did another short test and watched 6 of them, of which 2 I hadn't seen before. I didn't change focus and let them play all the way through. I got two payments.
3986  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoins? on: October 24, 2012, 01:45:44 AM
cointube has some decent vids.   For those having issues, I don't know what to say to be honest.  Did you try using more than one wallet number from your IP? or multi computers from it?  I have not had any problems with it unless I tried one of the things I mentioned.   Sometimes it takes a day or two for the vids to reset to give you credit again...

So are you saying that if one has already seen a certain video previously it is best to just move past it to another one because you won't get paid for it?

I was testing it again today.  I always use a unique address for each site I am trying out and with this test I was using one from a blockchain.info wallet
so when a payment is sent I am notified by email when it comes through.  It seems that the same people who do cointube also do bitvisitor and
so when you complete one of their tasks ( and push the next button or change the channel depending on what site you are on ) you will get your payment
shortly...

Well I had similar experience in the past, so I dont visit the site. I did a test yesterday, looked 4 videos, and guess what ? No payment at all in 24 hour period.

so if you are going to get a payment for a certain vid it should be pretty much right away.

In the test I did today I watched 15 videos and got a payment for 6 of them.  I noticed that I wasn't getting any payments for the first ones I was watching
and with those first ones I was letting the video play while I changed the focus to something else I was doing... so I wondered if it might be the case that
one needs to keep the focus on that browser page while the video plays in order to get paid, and so I tried that with the next ones after that... I made sure
not to switch to something else, and it 'did' seem that I started to get payments.

So cambda do you also change the focus to some other app or minimize the browser or something similar while the video plays?

I will test it out again later to make sure this is necessary...

How is your child pr0n market going?
This is really reprehensible.

For those who are missing the context— goat was running some secretive business that looked like it was either a HYIP front or a money laundering operation that was attracting a lot of miners with its wild returns (it was subsequently shut down after a lot of people started asking questions; and his primary competition has more recently vanished with a bunch of people's funds).  I was concerned that people were joining in eager for the BIG MONEY without being aware of the risks in whatever they were getting involved in. I tried to get some confidence in private that what he was doing wasn't going to result in a bunch of overly credulous bitcoiners getting ripped off or arrested but Goat did not respond.

I posted in public basically outlining the risks— e.g. that people receiving funds from him should be asking sharp questions about the origins of the money because if the funds were being laundered for child porn, arms, or drug deals law enforcement may be knocking at the door of the people receiving the funds. Goat's response was to put up a _bounty_ of several hundred BTC for someone to fabricate evidence of me being involved in these activities.   Is this the kind of person you want to do business with?

He removed the bounty after I started inquiring about collecting it myself— after I'd started on fabricating some evidence too. Sad Bummer.

Apparently some other forum moderator was already investigating him because someone with a very similar name to Goat's business had been trying to sell Thailand sourced child porn on the forums. I wasn't aware of this but I guess my inquiry struck a nerve. Goat also put up a similar bounty about the moderator investigating this, though I believe it was closed as just a coincidence.

In any case, any time we interact he's sure to spread these BS rumors, I don't mind too much because it just makes another example of what a despicable person he is and why no one should do any business with him.

+1

I don't know how Goat has managed to avoid a scammer tag... really he should be permabanned.

And no, we shouldn't just "ignore" him  Tongue but as a community make sure new members learn about him so they can steer clear of having anything to do with him.

cointicket.org added to the OP.

I am pretty sure I didn't get paid for every submission so one may need to watch this one closely.

Dailybitcoins is extremely slow and probably not worth bothering with at the moment, unless you just want to get the default 0.00005.

It is running faster and smoother now.

For those of you watching cointube, what do you think about the little shorts about the different types of cells?  Kind of amusing I think.

I might find them more amusing if I actually got paid for watching them.

I just a had a chance to try that site out...  is it normal to only get paid for 1/4 ( or less ) of the vids one watches?
I let all of them play all the way through ( even though I had to mute the more annoying ones ).

portnoy you can always cut / paste your address...

I would never manually type out a Bitcoin address. Even when I copy/paste I check it two or three times...
even with these faucets that give out such small amounts.  Wink

Create an account and save your address on the settings, everytime you visit the homepage you'll have the address "auto-filled".

I see. Things are different from when I first signed up.  Thnx

If you're logged in, you can see in the home page if you can request a new payment without clicking anything.

Actually I think a javascript button ( like dailybitcoins "Check eligibility" button ) would be better, then one
could check it without having to reload the whole page and having to re-input their Bitcoin address.

Something for you to think about perhaps.

Hmm, you don't need to re-input the Bitcoin address...

When I do it in firefox, if I am too early the form goes away and a message is displayed:
"You already requested free bitcoins
Please come back in [ x amount of time ]."

When that time passes and I try it again the form comes back and is empty, requiring me
to re-input my address.

It's no big deal but it would be a little nicer if one didn't need to re-input their address.

4000  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dragon Tales - A User's Experience in The First Casino/MMO Game on: October 21, 2012, 04:25:53 PM
I realize this has turned into a statue location post rather than a user experience post but I have had a very frustrating time in Dragon Tales.  I love, love, love the idea and it contains a lot of interesting games that seem to have ~95% payouts which is not bad given the unique aspect of the games.  However, I have only been able to find three statues, even if I waited a week they did not give me any more bitmills, and now that I am level one they seem to have disappeared.  I'll try and use the list in this thread to find some more (thank you!), but I can't use the boat because I am not level 2 and I can't get to level 2 until I've won 12 bitmills in a wide range of different games.

Anyway, I'm glad you have had a much more positive experience, I agree that this has a lot of potential, but it has not been a lot of fun for me after about three solid hours of trying to play over three weeks or so.

Good Luck!

With a good mentor it is fairly easy to get to level 5.
