3981  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What methods to use to promote the project? on: July 17, 2018, 07:39:22 PM
Well, Facebook advertising is now an option again, so I would definitely look into that.
You can just run the campaigns yourself, it isn't that difficult.

AFAIK Goodle still doesn't allow cryptocurrency-related advertising, so don't think that's an option.
Somehow I can still see crypto/bitcoin related advertisements from google ads. Maybe they'll soon stop those ads...
OP to be fair it would be more helpful to ask that question on internet marketing forums but since I have some experience in it, I'll try to answer.
This forum is number 1 in it's niche, so advertisement here means you directly send message to almost all people interested in crypto and blockchain technologies, also you can run signature campaign. For example good signature campaign can bring you great success like Qtum did once, now they are top in coinmarketcup.
Another way is real life advertisement like meetings, invite people and let them know about your project, if something is good, people spread it widely to their friends, then these friends to their friends and etc.
3982  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mining with nicehash so far... on: July 17, 2018, 06:12:56 PM
I have been mining with nicehash for quite some time with my 1080 Ti
At first it was doing nearly 10$/day (which was amazing!!) then thing gone down the hill doing just 1-2$/day these days...
I imagine if i mine ETH it will do even much less than that since nicehash i believe have been always giving the highest pay possible + ETH price dropped to 440$~ only !!...

Is there is other platform i can mine with while doing say 3$+/day ? and is it feasible to buy a second 1080 Ti or not really ??

note: power cost over here is: 0.082$ kwh which is not bad but still high if u ask me Smiley

any thoughts or advises greatly appreciated...
Nicehash gives you really the highest profit, if you turn on ether, currently with the stats of whattomine.com ethereum is less profitable then nicehash but metaverse is on top and it's profitability is 0.07-0.08$ higher in 24 hour.
If you can run on long term, you can mine other coins, for example mine neoscrypt coins and collect, then sell them when price rises.
For example they were very profitable this winter and you could ROI your gtx1080 in two month. But maybe worths to mine on nicehash, withdraw bitcoins and hold them.
And oh. do you have your GPU overclocked?
3983  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: July 15, 2018, 08:47:38 PM
I have a small update for everyone:

New backend for the site is fairly close to being completed with some nice updates under way. I'll update just what has changed once we're ready to deploy the updates.

That are really good news, hardly wait to hear what is new.
Interesting, what will be this update from BitDice for sure this will be another exciting games that I'm thinking.

I don't want to ask what are the new updates but I'll take a guess that sports betting is one it.  Tongue

Now why did you have to say it haha. Now I'm really hoping it's going to be sports. I actually only bet a very small amount in the almost finished world cup, because don't really like the options currently available for bitcoin bookies, but if Bitdice has that and improves over others, you can bet on it being popular.

Whatever the updates, we'll all be looking forward. Good stuff keeps getting better at BitDice.

World championship is ending tomorrow so Sport will be irrelevant for next 4 years again. P
Next season of NBA is coming and it's also interesting with new change of rosters and player hop ins.

This is just my opinion and let's wait until BoX will give the final words for these nice updates.
I think when we talk about sports betting, what first comes to our mind is football (I mean soccer). Also if it was in bitdice's plans, then believe me current World Cup was great reason for this but now since it's finished amd France won, we will have to wait at least a year I think.
Also consider guys that running a bookmaker is not so easy + why to expect only bookmaker? We need poker too, there is a lack of both option in current market.
BoXXoB - It's amazing, user is hidden but I think that's the famous person which was betting here very high bets some times ago and was posting his bets too.
3984  Other / Meta / What happens if someone copies sig code for phishing on: July 12, 2018, 11:37:12 PM
Hello guys!
Just want to get interested in following, also don't know if there was similar fact or not, let's start (imagine bitmixer.io is alive):
1. What happens when someone decides to run signature campaign, absolutely with original code of bitmixer.io's signature and hires people to wear it with phishing link ( you know some will do shit for money and in this situation imagine both, real bitmixer and phishing one runs signature campaign).
Will administration/moderators ban phishing signature campaign users? Or only red trust?
2. Imagine same scenario but without phising signature's ANN thread and everything happens via PM/Telegram chat. For example random 20 user wears bitmixer's sig code with phisher website's link. What will administration/moderators do in this situation?
3985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your Dice gambling strategy? on: July 12, 2018, 11:09:13 PM
Usually I never post in similar threads and especially on this kind one because there is no strategy in lucky based gambling but what about guys to follow high rollers who are in profit? For example I personally followed some of them on Bitsler because when I was watching them, their risk and profit was amazing for me. Can say the same not only on dice but for example let's take bustabit. Follow top players and see how they win, is this "strategy" or just pure luck?
3986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should other country follow Malta, the blockchain island? on: July 12, 2018, 10:27:30 PM
Malta has established itself as blockchain leader, as in February they announced their vision "Malta - A Leader in DLT Regulation". This announcement was well received from well-established organisations in the crypto industry. In fact Binance and OKEx announced that they have decided to operate from Malta and already in recruitment process. Another important partnership is with Poseidon Foundation, non-profit organisation committed to use blockchain to offsetting carbon footprint emissions. Do you think other countries should follow Malta's lead?
It would be good if you include some more information, can't understand exactly what happened but I'll check it tomorrow. By the way I am amazed why isn't here Bitfury? Their major aim is to develop blockchain technologies and they actively work with Georgia to integrate it on as many services as possible like for example land titling. Well that information is great anyway, blockchain is future and extra layer of protection on every information.
3987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is the RX 580 8gb nitro+ gpu worth buying at $315 on: July 12, 2018, 09:42:09 PM
for $100 might be okay for now but still dangerous to buy it for $100 if you want only to use it for mining. Now if you want to game then around $150 would be okay.

Are you kidding? Was there anytime in this world price of RX 580 nearly 100$ ?? Especially when we talk here about sapphire nitro+ which is the greatest gpu among rx 580 series.
OP it worths depends on if your want stable income and not 3 month profit, currently this coin makes nearly between 1.5-2$ in 24 hour. If you hold for example Eth and it's price will rise in some months, then you'll ROI quickly, everything depends on your wishes. But this card still rocks.
3988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The hard Truth on: July 12, 2018, 08:52:10 PM
Throughout my trading education(self-learning) most contents I read or watch regarding crypto trading states it point blank that "about 90% of crypto traders lose their funds"in the cause of trading.

This has somehow made me lose interest in learning to trade. Does this mean, that as a new trader or even the professionals have a marginal percentage of being successful in crypto trading? if your answer is no, then I guess there is rules or ethics you abide by that has made you successful in most of your trading.

I would be glad if members could share with us some of their tips and guides they've adopted in trading. I think good submissions will be of help to most people in this forum.

Thanks in advance!
In trading someone profits and someone loses, am I right? That's the reason why so many number of people lose. What do you think, is trading only skills? No man, how much you read doesn't matters if you don't have lucky too. Yeah, trading is luck also because no one knows exactly what will happen on any currency, especially on bitcoin. But skills can help you to better understand in analyzing of data and get maximum from you.
3989  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes on Crypto Currencies and Mining! on: July 12, 2018, 07:34:29 PM
I think it is unfair to introduce taxes on cryptocurrency, it is illegal, people invest their honestly earned money there and get interest from it. It's like in a Bank only risk and therefore profit can be greater. You do not pay taxes to the Bank for putting money on the Deposit
With your logic, when we have business, we don't have to pay any tax or can say the same about wages, because it's our own business and people also deserve their wage, if not a higher.
It's very fair and OP doesn't write truth. There is tax on mining, everything depends on how you do it. For example if I mine at home, no one will come and tax me but in Georgia Bitfury has largest mining datacenter. In reality they have to pay taxes but with agreement of goverment, they have privileges, they are in Tax Free zone and they even get electricity in more cheap price than anyone in this country. Idea behind this, as they say is to make georgia in top in map of bitcoin mining and to tell others that Georgia exists and it's modern country.
3990  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Recording history on blockchain technology on: July 12, 2018, 07:06:15 PM
Hi, I have an idea, but I don't think that it will be implemented by me.
Anyway, what about project that will save historic facts of countries. Since we can't change information in blockchain, it gives us ability to avoid re-writting history.

But there is one problem, that wonders me, it is the usage of tokens. Maybe, access to information(facts) ?

It is quite interesting to me, please, write me your thoughts.
Genius, great idea bro. Really great idea, to be fair I have never thought about that. But despite the fact that we didn't have blockchain technologies, to my mind world war two and upcoming history is true, just some facts are unknow for example if hitler got killed or he ran away anonymously in Argentina.
Btw this is really must to implement, currently is the era of informational technologies and everything is clear everywhere and websites like CNN, BBC and etc have their own databases + can say the same about televisions but we need one, very secure database with the help of blockchain.
3991  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: July 12, 2018, 06:06:16 PM
If the website would not be profitable, than the site would no longer be online.

It is always hilarious watching the trolls one minute screaming that we rip everyone off and make too much profit and then switch tack and claim your deposits are at risk because we're about to go bust.

Most of the requests I get can be summarised as either 'give us more free money' or 'reduce your house edge so you have less income to pay the freebies'.

Would be cool if the new site would have some more extra features (besides the exchange) such as games or ...

Stay tuned.
I know you answered me sometimes here but are you among owners of freebitco? Or just support here?
Btw you may don't know but in old good days, even banks were promoting your website, this means you have trust in people.
You really pay low compared to old times but somehow no one considers the fact that bitcoin's price is high, more than 10x high. Low house edge would be better but I understand, being faucet and dice at the same time with 1% house edge is very unprofitable for website, however others can't understand it.
Wish you success, would love to see new and strong freebitco like it was some years ago.
3992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I CHOSE BITCOIN INVESTMENT OVER BANK INVESTMENT on: July 11, 2018, 11:59:13 PM
Knowing the crypto world was the best thing I have ever done. Today I was given an amount of $20000 by my uncle to make an investment for him at the bank so that by the end of the year he can get some additional money added to his capital. I sat down and calculated and found out that, investing at the bank will give him just $2000 interest.

I then called him and explain to him about cryptocurrency and how secured it is with evidences and it price increment for last year. After seeing it he told me to invest that amount into BITCOIN and I have done it for him. I know that is volatile and can fluctuate but I made time to explain to him that although the market is red now but when the green days come he will get not less thank $25000 added to his capital. I know I did the right thing and he will surely laugh some days to come. What do you think guys?
Crypto investments are secure? Are you kidding? What if crypto falls in one year and rise begins after two year? Will your uncle still trust you if his money won't be rised in one year? He will prefer to stay out of game as soon as possible.
Also where do you live? 10% bank return on deposits in USD somehow is hard to believe for me because USD is very stable currency and usually banks offer very low % on deposts in usd, euro and gbp.
3993  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz account has most likely changed hands on: July 11, 2018, 11:34:21 PM
Don't know if there was talk about this and I'm a little bit busy to check those posts because aTriz was never under my attention but did he finally refund money as he promised everyone publicly here? I guess no but looking for real answer.
Do you really think that his account is hacked? It's more likely sold (but why to buy red trusted account with bad reputation?) or aTriz is still here, despite the fact that his english is worse currently, I still think it's done manually.
At least if someone bought it, then he would take care of returning aTriz's reputation back and his English would be good too but still I think aTriz wants to get max from this account while it still works for earning from here.
3994  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best News Sources for Cryptocurrency Traders and Investors on: July 11, 2018, 10:58:44 PM
I don't know why only one user mentioned his attention on cointelegraph but I can proudly say that this website is really great, amazing. Here you can read very important news which you can't see on any website given above. Can't say that their aim is to inform traders and investors but their general information is very important for them and also for anyone interested in crypto and blockchain technologies.
3995  Economy / Economics / Re: CAN WE SAY THE MARKETCAP OF BITCOIN IS FALSE?? on: July 11, 2018, 09:50:01 PM
~
I know whales are not fools...but selling a huge part of what they hold is a way to manupulate the market. Causing more downfall. And with my little knowlege i believe that it will get a point when tether printing will bring fake marketcap. That was my reason for this topic. A friend of mine said that cryptocurrency was a joke. Sincerely i couldn't argue it. I just smirked.

then what do you think has been happening so far? and why did you just think about it now? do you think they are going to start now that we had a 70% drop?
what you need to know is that any manipulation also has its own power and will soon run out of. you can't manipulate the price from $20000 down to $1 there is  millions of other traders in the market too and they are also buying and selling bitcoin. at some point you reach a strong  resistance (which is most probably the $6000 that we saw tested 3 times and remain strong) that can not be broken so the reversal happens.

tether has nothing to do with market cap! 90% of the things you read about it online is pure bullshit created during the downtrend to create panic
People's argument is always panic, yeah understand everyone wants panic in people but why do they want it? You'll say: to lower price. Then answer me, can you just give me one argument about why the hell do we need higher price of bitcoin? No, there is no way because bitcoin works well on 300$, 600$ and on 6000$ too as we see currently.
We can't say it's 100% sure. Btw here I remember coinmarketcup and how they manipulated price in minutes.
3996  Other / Meta / Re: Can we stop polls being made in certain parts of the forum? on: July 11, 2018, 08:53:49 PM
Why, why the hell we have to shut down polls in some sections because of one man creating thread with annoying polls? What about to report that thread and finish everything with this? I have no other idea, poll must be in every section, at least every forum software has included poll in everywhere and no one had born idea to shut it.
I think if you start to get really annoyed by these sorts of little things then this forum is just going to drive you insane  Cheesy.
This, just hang on some things here, focus on your tasks and help others too if possible.
3997  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project Bravio on: July 11, 2018, 07:04:33 PM
Finally, what kind of game it is? As you say it's not a random dice, as I understand it's like sportsbet when someone places ticket and random human takes it while thinks bettor will lose bet and he/she gets profit.
Sorry if I misunderstood but I think it's dice where there are players and humans as house edge. When I bet, someone choose me and get's my lose or pays me for my profit yeah?
3998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is It Worth It? (Pool + My Rig) on: July 10, 2018, 11:59:06 PM
You either listed your video card wrong or have no clue what the actual specs are.

Without that information nobody can answer your question.

the 1080Ti came with 11gb of GDDR5X memory, I dont think any of the 10 series Nvidia cards ever came with 4gb of RAM.

Apologies typo there... it is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

Go to https://whattomine.com/

Put 1 under 1050Ti and look at the results

Most profitable coin is ETH and you will make around $0.44 USD per day before any power costs. Power shouldn't be too high since it uses very little electricity.

So if you already got the GPU, mine away, but if you want more speed, you need at least an 1070 or 1080 or so. If you like AMD, then get the RX 470/570 which should get you 30MH/s.
Rx 480/580 are best for mining, not those you mentioned.
OP you have great PC, even simple processor and 1gb ram is enough for mining rig, nothing to talk about i7 and 16gb ram. Since you have PC with those components and want to mine, it really worths to upgrade your GPU, 1050ti has low hashrate, it can't even profit well when mine in bulk.
If you want to mine on nicehash, you can try nicehash profit calculator, it's very easy.
3999  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is 10% a week posible on: July 10, 2018, 11:31:23 PM
I am about to reach a milestone is my trading/investing and am going to reevaluate my trading strategy moving forward.
I want to set myself a goal of increasing my BTC by 10% a week (compounded) and wondering what is the best way to do this
Should I invest in small cap coins, coins with high volume. Invest in one coin a week or to different trades each day.
What would you recommend and is it achievable long term
No, big no to your question. How can you achieve 10% investment a week? Investing in different coins? I bet this way you will end up loosing more than 10% a week. To be fair you can luckily profit, but this can't last for long terms. Daily trade can help you but is there any guaranteed way to profit? No, so you'll have profit and loss, no one knows which one you'll get by the end of week. Holding is better, risks are here too but usually coins rise and sometimes it can even give you really valuable profit. For example if you invest now and hold bitcoin, then it rises in three month, you can even get more than weekly 10%.
4000  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: We must create a petition in change.org to (Hashflare Company) on: July 10, 2018, 10:35:35 PM
To my mind it has no idea. Hashflare is nothing compared to Hashocean. Here people had invested a lot of money, really a lot, despite the fact that website was giving your invested money back in 3 month, it lasted for more than one year, people believed it was real cloud mining company and lost money. A lot of people joined a petition in change.org but we got nothing in result.
Currently hashflare plays the game of genesis mining, this last one is legal as far as I know but scam in reality. Seems hashflare really can't to pay it's users, their action of high withdraw limits is absolutely incorrect but c'mon, you knew what you were doing.
