3981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let us talk about a Bitcoin poker room in free fall, betcoin.ag on: February 19, 2017, 08:04:25 PM
The betcoin.ag scam is in free fall on Alexa Global Rank: 165,138 - 58,004 = 52% down within 2 months!

What do you think, will they go out of business soon?

They limited the signature campaign payment for their 70 promoters to only 100 posts per month in December 2016. Could this be the reason why they fall so heavily?

I am sure it has to do with the downtrend seen in Poker in general, due to which bitcoin users or sites are affected even more. The online trend is going away. The traffic as a matter of fact is falling on almost every other poker website.
I don't think that there is a downtrend in Poker in general in the height of 52%. This must have to do with betcoin.ag directly.

You can see on pokerscout.com that online poker is still very famous. Smiley

There are pay sites much more accurate than Alexa. The decrease shown by Alexa is unrealistic.

It's easy to manipulate Alexa.

Quote
I’ve already written several blog posts about Alexa and how notoriously bad its statistics are. Not really surprising that they are bad if you know how the data for those statistics is gathered. For the bulk of their data Alexa relies on people installing the Alexa Toolbar (or a toolbar that passes information to Alexa). It’s this toolbar that monitors to which websites you go and how you end up on them.

This has as a result that demographic, used browsers, and even the country visitors are from influence the data that Alexa gathers about a website. This can introduce serious artefacts and biases into the collected data and basically makes the statistics generated from it worthless. At best it can give you an idea about how well a website is doing, but that doesn’t mean that what you’re seeing matches reality. I’ve already written a far more detailed blog post about how Alexa works and why you never should rely on the data it provides; it’s just too unreliable.

The best illustration I have about how unreliable Alexa’s statistics are is from when I compared HotWhopper and Real Sceptic. According to Alexa I had a higher ranking than HotWhopper and  HotWhopper’s Alexa ranking was dropping noticeably. But HotWhopper had fourteen times the number of pageviews and had nine times more visitors than Real Sceptic. What made it even worse was that HotWhopper’s pageviews and visitors were increasing. Statistics from direct measurements told a very different story than the one Alexa was telling.

It also made me wonder if it was possible to influence Alexa ranking/statistics. As Alexa does mention on their website that there are some other sources for the data they gather. Turns out this is surprisingly easy to do.
https://www.realskeptic.com/2014/05/14/another-reason-use-alexa-statistics-easy-manipulate/
1) Who manipulate betcoin.ag's Alexa rank recently and how?

2) If Alexa's rank is heavily inaccurate, you can be rest assured that betcon.ag would have already paid for pay sites, to get a more accurate statistic.

3) You should see in your affiliate billing that the revenue decreased recently.

Does anyone else have problem connecting with the live dealer blackjack tables at this site?
All I get is a service error on the screen.
They take those tables down? And strictly go to animated bj tables instead?
Why do you want to play at vegascasino.io?

It is a hide the operator site! In case of a dispute, you have likely no legal recourse...  Roll Eyes
3985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with CONSUMER PROTECTION SERVICE inclusive? on: February 19, 2017, 08:20:25 AM
We need to analyze the legal fees, if it can't cover my losses from the casino which is a scam, I would not spend money on this, people always get scammed, it is the necessary lesson.
O.k., here are some numbers for you to analyse: Pending Full Flush Poker Litigation 70:30 no cure no pay case, to start a court case:

Quote
a) Invest $1,500 (1% court fee of $150,000) with the chance to receive $105,000 ($150,000 owed – $45,000 = 30% law firm contingency fee).

$1,500 of $105,000 = 1,4%! If the chance to win the court case is 1,4% or higher, it is worth to invest!

b) If the court judgement confirm the liability of the parties involved, then the law firm can refer to this court case and collect as well the lower amounts owed, which are currently around $50,000 in total:

Invest $1,500 (1% court fee) with the chance to receive $105,000 (IneedpaidFF) + $35,000 ($50,000 lower amounts owed – $15,000 = 30% law firm contingency fee) = $140,000.

$1,500 of $140,000 = 1,1%! If the chance to win the court case is 1,1% or higher, it is worth to invest!

Based on my knowledge and experience, if a law firm take a case on a contingency fee basis, the expected chance to win the case and receive money is at least around 25%.

Invest 1 to 1,5% of the possible amount to receive, while the chance to win the court case and receive money is at least around 25%: Does this sound good?

Would you do this?
3986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: February 19, 2017, 08:02:08 AM
If you wager money or something of value (i.e. material goods), with the primary intent of winning money or something of value, on an event with an uncertain outcome, then you gamble. Smiley

And if you do this online, without having a consumer protection service / legal expenses insurance, then you gamble even more!

i will hold on on their words for now, its been 2day and 13hours now 😭😭

I think it is time for us all to unite and give negative ratings to such an inactive admin. How would the sportsbook react if a player takes 5 btc from them by cheating and does not reply here ? Obviously will be marked as scammer then why sportsbook have the luxury of sitting easily without any red trust ? I really think they will scam very soon totally.
It is already a scam, as they false and misleading claim to have a license = criminal offense of fraud!
3988  Economy / Gambling / Re: Website with "skill" based games? on: February 18, 2017, 10:43:55 PM
We just launched this website with an innovative skill game! it is a pure player vs. player without luck or random!

bitllions.com
Can you please explain the "skill" part of this game and based on what kind of "skill" decision would I have an advantage towards my oponents?

The skill is about being smart and playing the best strategy. You choose two variables: the bet amount ant the multiplier. This gives you a FACTOR. At the end of the round, bets are paid starting from the higher to the lower FACTOR. If the POT is not enough to pay a bet, the bet loses and the process skips to the next bet.
Choose the amount amount and multiplier is exactly what I do when playing roulette (multiplier 2 to 36x). And this is called luck game and has nothing to do with skill!

How exactly do I interact with the other players involved?

You only know the total pot and the amount of all bets, but you don't know the multiplier and the factor. So basically, you have to guess what the other players have chosen and play your strategy. It is a game of skill, because there is no luck, no random numbers involved.
Um, is there a strategy how I can analyse what bet amount and multiplier my opponents have chosen?

If not, then this is a pure luck game, like nu1mlock has already detected.

3990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Strategy and Lost in GAMBLE on: February 18, 2017, 09:54:00 PM
Even if you have the best strategy that you have its not your assurance to never be lose in the gambling game. If you won twice that time you play with your best strategy, you must not expect for another chance so that you may not lose in another rounds.

These probably fair games are designed such that each time they will give you different results and no way we can expect every time same result. So surely if one gamble for a longer time then will lose all money to the gambling house. Because no strategies work in gambling but one can just gamble with a small amount and enjoy these game, and if they are lucky then they will earn some money or just have fun.
- Yes, in gambling, the strategy will not help you, because have cheating in gambling, you never realize it. You will never win, right from when starting, gambling was unfair, you're always the passive and the casino keeps the advantage, you can not make money from it. Strategy, analysis is useless, you can not win if you're a gambler. You can only gambling as a fun, victory is never belong gamblers
I can not follow you here: Poker is gambling, right?

And in poker, a good strategy will definetely help you to win longtherm. Based on what do you say that a gambling strategy will not help me?

Do you meant even if I have a good gambling strategy in poker, I will not win because have cheating in gambling?

You asked where you can find illusions and betcoin.ag is doubtless the number 1 source...
I also said I'm not interested in card games so those posts have nothing to do with my question. Good pun though.
They offer other games as well and I swear they are the number one illusion site you can find in the internet. Smiley
3993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let us talk about a Bitcoin poker room in free fall, betcoin.ag on: February 18, 2017, 08:31:11 PM
They didn't limit it earlier because bitcoin wasn't sitting on a solid $1000 floor... I wish that they still allowed 150 posts, but they are paying more or less the same money as they did a couple months ago when bitcoin was cheaper and they accepted 100 posts, even tho they also lowered the rates tho...

We'll see, im happy with the signature campaing and I have never had any problems with the staff. I would like rates a bit higher considering the posts got cut by 50, but look at the other signature campaings.. it's not like they are making a lot of competition, rates are shit nowadays.
If the Bitcoin price rise, then I adjust the Bitcoin payment per post, so that it is still the same prize per post and don't limit the number of posts. It would be stupid to limit the number of posts, but at the same time pay more per post. This doesn't make any sense!
3994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's talk about poker! on: February 18, 2017, 08:23:27 PM
Poker is a game of chance if you don't know how play it, but if you know how to play it then poker is a game of skill and probably one of the most rewarding games in the casino since almost any other game does not give you the chance of winning at all.
If you see most of the gambling games needs some sort of skills and of the course the rules on how to play and requirements to win. I find that blackjack is more profitable as there is equal probability of winning and losing while if you see other gambling games like roulette if you put on a specific number there is very  less chance of win while on color there is a equal probability.
Wait, blackjack with 0 or -EV is more profitable than poker with possible +EV?

Roulette: Your chance to win on colour is 48,65% and your chance to win on numbers is 47,7%. The difference of 1,35% is not very less chance!
3995  Economy / Gambling / Re: Website with "skill" based games? on: February 18, 2017, 08:12:07 PM
Please, please take your dispute somewhere else. I don't mean to be rude, but you two are really off-topic. I'm still looking for fun games to bet (hopefully win) Bitcoins on.
You asked where you can find illusions and betcoin.ag is doubtless the number 1 source!
3996  Economy / Gambling / Re: Website with "skill" based games? on: February 18, 2017, 08:07:42 PM
It's absolutely pointless and it's a waste of time in trying to explain where you're wrong and misinformed.
Huh

In no way shape or form is the 27% RB offered on a WPN skin even close to the 53 - 83% RB offered at BetcoinRakeback.com, even if Betcoin's rake in some games is slightly higher.
Correct! As you charge a prodigious rake, your similiar rakeback offer compared to WPN skins is worse.

And the leaderboards for ACR doesn't matter at all because you'd have to rake from hundreds to TENS of thousands in a week's time to win anything meaningful.
You have to rake around $100 in Sit & Gos to get $50 + a $55 tournament entry. Nice story though. Cheesy

Also nice feedback:
Get 5 BTC for proof who Game Protect scammed and for how much?

-> until today, no one was able to deliver proof of their false and misleading claims.

-> you refering to false and misleading claims, definetely confirms your "reputation" Cheesy

Ahh, you might missed that part, but your betcoin.ag is in free fall recently on Alexa Global Rank: 165,138 - 58,004 = 52% down within 2 months!

So who is right and who is wrong?

You are doubtless the number 1 in giving illusions...
3997  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ INVEST on: February 18, 2017, 06:37:32 PM
I think the key point is the server. You must somehow create a program that is running on the server and send everything to an outside recording device.

There is usually no control what happens on the server and the operator can easily manipulate. A good example is Satoshidice:

Satoshidice scam, 500+ Bitcoins defrauded and disappeared!
3998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: February 18, 2017, 06:10:42 PM
If your always in badluck is it wrong but if you are always win is it right so if you are always a winner it is right and therefore if you are always in the losing is wrong. He he. It is a matter of destiny i guess.

Gambling is just a type of entertainment. According to what you are saying, does going to movie theater wrong because you need to lose some money for the ticket? Gambling is not illegal and that is why some country actually allows it.

There are surely some jurisdictions who prohibit to gamble for money!

Gambling itself is not wrong, but it is wrong to gamble at publicly proven scams like betcoin.ag. The community should not assist shady operators who bring Bitcoin gambling in disrepute!

Well, at least people are aware now because of your effort, but one question, why are this site still operating, that means they are still profitable and people supported them. As a gambler, we have our option what site we do gambling as there are a lot of reputable site that exist here, however, you cannot blame people who played on a site that you see as scam because they have their own evaluation on what has transpired in the past.
A site continues to operate, doesn't necessarily mean they are still profitable.

Honestly, I have no idea why they continue to operate and can only speculate. They are in free fall recently on Alexa Global Rank: 165,138 - 58,004 = 52% down within 2 months! They new motto is CUT, CUT, CUT...

If someone do what betcoin.ag management has done, then this has not much to do with logic, etc. and I doubt that their business model is sustainable. On the other hand, they saved 450 Bitcoins from the not paid progressive jackpot, so this might help to go ahead for a while.

There are also things indicating that betcoin.ag is part of the Betsoft scam gaming software. So their business calculation might look different then we assume. However, I think the next months will bring a more clear picture about what is going on here... Smiley
3999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you choose casino to play? on: February 18, 2017, 05:54:43 PM
1. Fast withdrawals and deposits.
2. Simple design so the webpage would load quickly.
3. Good support staff
4. No scam or shady activities going on.
5. No foolish policies.
6. Has good community
7. Funny trolls
8. No spam/referral link on chat box

Basically if I'm feeling lucky on that certain casino or if I'm feeling "at home" on that casino, I'd probably go back even if one or two of the things above aren't achieved.

This is the main things we do always like to check first on which casino we do love to play specially when we feel lucky today. Those list you mentioned are same as mine.
Maybe I missed something, but if you have the same feeling, why do you promote the publicly proven betcoin.ag scam? Does this make any sense?
4000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let us talk about a Bitcoin poker room in free fall, betcoin.ag on: February 18, 2017, 05:48:07 PM
I don't know if Betcoin.ag is going out of business. I just know that their website has been going down on my side frequently.

The error message is likely due to a port error, I can't pinpoint the specific location because I am not Admin of Betcoin.ag.

Many users on Bitcointalk notified the Original Poster that the website was down at a certain time though I am pretty sure that the OP didn't respond to any of those posts.

I would steer clear from Betcoin.ag because of the low website up-time.

I just checked the website again and it's down, no pages are loading except for the error message.

It is a typical behaviour of betcoin.ag to ignore issues and complaints!

Yeah, you know the alexa rank of world traffic shows betcoin has decrease on customers, they lose them because of that non-payment jackpot. Maybe they deserve it?
They doubtless fully deserve it!

But it is not only their global rank, their US rank is also in free fall and currently: 74,174

Compare this with NitrogenSports US rank: 13,355
