41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 21, 2017, 08:42:43 PM
This game looks very nicely made and I'm really happy its being brought into the blockchain. I look forward to seeing the developments that will be made after the ICO is concluded.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🚀[ANN][04.07] ICO Starta - Cross-Coin Venture capital on the blockchain🌟 on: July 21, 2017, 08:18:13 PM
all these scalpers, speculators and flippers who can't wait for their tokens to be listed at 2-3x need to calm the f down and understand that you have been given the rare opportunity to invest as a VC would in a portfolio of promising startups. if you quickly flip for 2x you will likely miss out on the 20x (or more) payout in the long run...

personally, as an investor, i am not overly concerned about Starta token values for atleast another 6 months (barring some sort of scam/scandal). on the contrary, the currently dwindling price on TIDEX should be viewed as an opportunity to buy at a discount to ICO offering price.

they have a good team with solid backgrounds in the field.

Totally agreed.
This project is backed by a real world VC.
I'll absolutely hold Starta for a long time.

I'll hold most of my Starta.
We don't see that much uniqe projects in here.

Yeah it was always meant to be a long term hold (at least in crypto time). Its not one for speculating on the short term unless you want a lot of stress.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: July 21, 2017, 03:01:55 PM
Why are people so worried about two or four or more months?
Ffs the longer this shit drags out the better for investors (see eth and iota for example)

Yea,  not worried.   Invested heavily.

Tezos is supposed to be a 4 year project so the short term is really irrelevant. They have plenty of funds and plenty of time.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: July 20, 2017, 07:38:33 PM
okay, I'm also confused about the current market and I spent all my money to invest in long-term projects ICO. In which I also purchased altcoin was accepted on the exchange as ETH, Stratis, Antshares but I still believe in Bitcoin so I'm waiting for the right time
Ethereum is a great technology but it cannot dethrone bitcoin in the number 1 spot with the current  trend.
Well, we do not really know what will happen in the future, it could be bitcoin will be in the number 2 and eth will take its place
but it all depend to us because we are the one using the tokens and we know what will benefit us.

I see ethereum supporters are trying to promote ether a lot and they think ethereum will surpass bitcoin, but this never happens. Bitcoin's place is really diferent in crypto market.

Bitcoin is the father of all cryptocurrency. maybe ethereum can surpass the marketcap of bitcoin but will never happen to pass the price of bitcoin.

Price is irrelevant because of differences in total number. Marketcap is all that matters.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the future of bitcoin will look like on: July 20, 2017, 07:36:09 PM
Despite all the August 1 thing bitcoin has a very bright future. Bitcoin will be the only cryptocurrency catering to the needs of people from all walks of life. Even governments, big corporations, merchants will be adopting and accepting bitcoin. And all this has already begun. Bitcoin will also be taught at schools and universities. I think in future bitcoin will become as popular as the internet itself and people will be addicted to it in the same manner as they are to fiat. In short bitcoin has a very good future.

I agree the future looks good but its a bit early to say it will be so widely used. I'm still unsure if its ever going to become a great payment system but for sure its already proven itself as a store of value and I think local currencies will operate alongside it rather than in direct competition with bitcoin.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: July 20, 2017, 07:32:09 PM
I think the floor was moved lower than the ratio of 1Eth to 100BNT tokens because of the bounty tokens dumpers because ideally from what the team said it is supposed to be 1Eth = 100BNT tokens

The price floor was only a portion of the tokens above the cap, not the entire amount.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Bitcoin pump on: July 20, 2017, 07:20:31 PM
Frankly I don't care about the reason,  and there usually isn't a good one anyway.   Wish I had bought more when we were at $1900, I'll say that though.  More people are buying than selling--that's always the best explanation for a huge rise.  Confidence is coming back, that's good enough.

The dump and the pump now seems to all be about segwit and usaf. Anyway bitcoin always seems to fix itself out of its problems and the long term trend is always clear, its an upwards one.

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating my own altcoin? on: July 07, 2017, 07:24:29 AM
Can I copy a existing coins source code, edit it a bit, create a whitepaper and launch a ICO for my coin to collect essential funds for creating the phone app, wallet, marketing, etc.

I can't say I know a lot about it but since bitcoin is open source you definitely can do this and most of the original altcoins like litecoin, feathercoin, dogecoin and many others were like this. They were basically copies of bitcoin with slight modifications.
50  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: July 07, 2017, 07:23:05 AM
The world should definitely be alarmed but despite NK's craziness its unlikely in my opinion to lead to war. The problem is that due to the crazy, once they can threaten any country in the world we will have no choice but to either give them anything they want or get destroyed with them.

Some better solution needs to be found than just waiting for them to get more sophisticated technology.
51  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where should i invest 45 BTC risk free on: July 07, 2017, 07:21:13 AM
No such thing as risk free, but poloniex bitcoin lending is close to risk free and you can easily get 1-2% per month with it.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: July 07, 2017, 07:19:43 AM
I am an ordinary citizen and I an use Bitcoin.  I believe bitcoin is for everyone since anyone can have access to Bitcoin if they wanted to.  I also believe that even those who have no money but have skills to offer and be paid in bitcoin can have Bitcoins.  This is the beauty of Bitcoin since there are lots of jobs created by bitcoin startups and can help those who are jobless to have at least earnings in terms of Bitcoin.

Except ordinary citizens like yourself are obviously more adept at using things like bitcoin than most people. There have been loads of improvements but right now bitcoin is still too difficult for the majority of the population to effectively use.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum best for investment? on: July 07, 2017, 07:16:27 AM
If PoS is successfully implemented and ethereum can scale it could become huge. Right now its very useful due to smart contracts but its success is hurting it due to scaling issues.

I think Ethereum is one of the best long term investments but there are huge risks in the short term and there are many valid criticisms of the coin.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: July 07, 2017, 07:14:54 AM
I certainly think this is impossible because  a lot of people spend their money for BTC and outta nowhere to drop that hard. And if there will be any drop on the price for the BTC i think it wont be more than 1500$

In Bitcoin the impossible is possible.  It is the same a fluctuation,  if you remember the event way back 2013 and 2014, Bitcoin reached 1k USD but after that it crashed and almost touch 200 USD.  So I think seeing bitcoin in sub $1000 is still possible though there maybe a slim chance since Bitcoin had more support now than before.    This may happen if FUD is successfully implanted to all investors and they start to dump Bitcoin in exchange of other cryptocurrency.

Except with segwitx2 coming up once its successfully implemented 99% of the FUD currently going around will disappear. Yes its possible for a crash to occur but at this point it seems very unlikely given the upcoming good developments.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SXC][NSFW] Sexcoin - v0.10.4.0 Released!! Mandatory Upgrade! on: July 07, 2017, 07:13:09 AM
I see theres been quite some activity in this thread lately and I really like the concept but is this coin going anywhere? If no adult sites or places will accept the coin surely it will end up dying.
56  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex Or Bittrex? on: June 30, 2017, 01:31:18 AM
poloniex is better for me.I am involved in poloniex many days ago, as a result earning so much bitcoin from here.
so I loved poloniex.

Me too its good for margin trade and lending bitcoin which is risk free way to earn more.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: wich altcoins should i choose to invest in ? on: June 30, 2017, 01:24:21 AM
From the list I like ANT and ARK, other than that I would also choose STRAT and a few of the recent ICOs: funfair, civic and status.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: June 30, 2017, 01:22:02 AM
In my opinion, I think gambling is wrong because it makes us lose money, I do not need to know that we gamble for fun or gamble for profit but I know gambling makes us change over time and affect our psychological then affecting our family. Many people say they gamble for fun and relieve stress but actually, they do not do that. Maybe in the early times, they play for fun but gradually they will play for money, for profit, this is an inevitable thing, we all are greedy, gambling is the main factor making our greed bigger and so I have reason to believe that gambling is wrong

Gambling is wrong if you are doing it on a daily basis and the result is clear that you will be losing a lot of money. But everyone is free to come and go in gambling so it's the gambler's choice if he will gonna do a good move or wrong move. We are all grown up we know what's right and wrong.

Yep, I have no problem with people who gamble once in a while or to make a sports game more exciting but daily gamblers are just digging themselves a deep hole. And as you say at the end of the day its every persons own choice anyway, you reap what you sow.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Russia] Burger King to accept Bitcoin this summer! on: June 30, 2017, 01:20:07 AM
This is great if they will accept bitcoin this summer but for me, it is not worth it to use our bitcoin to buy burgers or any meal at burger king unless the fees will be lowered down to 20k-50k satoshi again because if we will buy foods from them and paying at least 2 USD fee worth of bitcoin then it is not worth it for me because it is like wasting money but if you are like buying the whole menu them it is good to use bitcoin.

The fees will be lowered once segwit gets adopted and its looking like that will be soon.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: June 30, 2017, 01:19:17 AM
Trading is rarely consistent even among good traders and the variance in your earnings is huge, investing on the other hand with a little common sense always yields a nice profit so I will pick investing anyday.
