I have an issue with low performance and big fluctuations on asus RX 470 Strix cards.

Hashes vary between 20 and 26. 1035/1900 with 1625 straps.

how much does dual mining increase power consumption on rx470 GPU's?

I am using -dcri 10 for minimum effect on ETH production
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MSI afterburner & other o/c tools Not Working on: June 13, 2017, 02:07:21 PM
I am running modified asus rx 470 8gb, I am trying to O/C via afterburner and it shows GPU clocks at zero...
Asus overclock tool not working also.
Is this due to the modded bioses?
I am running 17.5.2

Guys I have the following issue:

My asus strix rx 470 Mh/s fluctuate wildly (20-27) under smOS, if I run them on windows they hash stably, why is this happening?

So, no need to use the tweak with using the 16.9.x drivers  in copying in them in the 17.5x drivers ?

no need. 17.5.2 work for me as they are

I'm having an issue with a bunch of my rigs that seem to be restarting very frequently. They seem to mine just fine, but restart about every 5 minutes. I have not been able to catch any text output on the screen, does smOS save logs anywhere?

Has anyone run into this before or know a solution?

Thanks!
Too much verclocking or too much undervolting, try to lower it down.

Tytanick how can we see how many shares are incorrect during a period of time?

I get the message that GPU #no found an incorrect share and that I should look if my o/c is stable, but then the share is not counted as rejected?

Which shares are counted as rejected?

Is there a way to count all incorrect shares to see if our overclocks are ok?

Some pools have rejected ratio in statistics. Here in my OS i guess you cant see that. Better look in pool if the speed is moreless ok.

thanks.

Also Anyone experiencing dwarfpool not accepting any shares for the last 7 hours while at the same time shows approximate Mh/s ATM correct?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [GUIDE] 6 GPU RIG on Asus H270 Prime & G4560 (Win10) on: June 10, 2017, 09:37:41 AM
Ok guys I lost a lot of time and effort to make this work, so I will post this quick guide for others.

First of all it seems that the cpu-mobo is a good combo, nice price nice availability and more than enough cpu power for the task.

Here we go:

Step 1: install all hardware but just 1 GPU

Step 2: plug monitor on intel I-gpu, keyboard, mouse and lan

Step3: boot to bios and update bios via internet

Step 4. Install Windows 10

Step 5. Let windows auto-install GPU, then install 17.5.2 (tested and working) or any other amd driver you want to test. If you have modded GPU bios patch drivers now.

Step 6. Reboot into Bios. Advanced Settings --> System Agent (SA) configuration-->Above 4g Decoding = Enabled.  DO NOT change anything ELSE. Do not set PCI-e to GEN1 or GEN2, it must be at AUTO!

Step 7. Save bios settings, DO NOT let the PC reboot , Shutdown as soon as screen goes black and fans spin down.

Step 8. install the rest of your GPU's (+5 for 6 GPU rig). Make sure all connections are good and secure.

Step 9. Boot to windows, give windows some time maybe 15 minutes will be enough. Windows will slowly recognize all GPU's. Check your Device Manager to see Progress.

Step 10. You are good to go!

Take note that if you want to boot into windows with less than 4 GPU you must first go into bios and set Above 4g Decoding = Disabled, then shutdown disconnect GPU's and boot into windows. To boot again with all GPU's go into bios and set Above 4g Decoding = Enabled, then shutdown connect all GPU's and boot into windows.

If you find this useful and want to say Cheers send me some of your first ETH or SIA:

I am using default line to mine Eth

-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333

I have added my siacoin address to the miner config

Now what should I add to the config line to dual mine eth & sia.  Huh

Please help guys...

ok I did it but I am losing 30% eth hashes, should I decrease sia intensity? how can I do that?

Guys can anyone give an example of an ethereum & sia  combined mining config?

I am really at a loss ...

thats what i do with EXP+DCR...

Code:
-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://exp-eu.dwarfpool.com:8018 -ewal 0x8cc1b286b0da5187d59c2f648b5d30a111ee54da/$rigName  -allpools 1 -mport -3333  -allcoins exp  -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal eWMzpG4MAYSCnxcBYQEi.rig1 -dpsw x
ETH+SIA is pretty much the same i would say.

so I have to add:  -allcoins exp  -esm 3 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal eWMzpG4MAYSCnxcBYQEi.rig1 -dpsw x in the end of my config line?

Where I replace exp for eth and dcr.suprnova.cc with my sia pool and wallet?

Should I use 8.1 or 9.4?

Also can anyone suggest any tricks to reduce power usage?
What if I decrease power state to 5?

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MemShift Problem on Rx 470 Nitro+ 8gb on: June 04, 2017, 08:16:14 PM
Hello I did a memshift on Rx 470 Nitro+ 8gb which defaults on 2000Mhz.
I used 1500 straps, and now the card is not stable on 2000Mhz.
It is however on 1900.
My hashes increased from 24 to 28.
the question is:
1)Should I decrease VRAM speed on Bios?
2)Should I use straps from 1625?
3) Should I increase Vram Voltage?
