41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LASER Bitcoin Token on: June 28, 2013, 05:02:27 PM
The headline got me excited there for a moment. I thought it was about a token that shoots laser beams.
42  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Block Erupter USB owners won't make ROI??? on: June 27, 2013, 08:21:35 PM
I quickly checked Block Erupter eBay listings. It appears that none of the currently active ones are from repeat [Block Erupter] sellers.

Does eBay ban people for listing mining equipment?

I wonder who gets the reward or how will it be calculated if no one can connect?  Huh I'm a bit confused...

In the last downs we learned that even though mining goes down for the majority of clients, there are still some that continue mining (according to the stats page).

The hashing power of those miners still standing is comparatively low, so it is improbable thy will find a block. If they do, the longer the mining is down for everybody else, the larger is the proportion of the reward the still active miners will get.

You can see your personal “Estimated reward” on your “My account” page. You estimated reward goes down the more time it passes since your last submitted share.

Interesting. My btc balance at Slush cleared out just now. How can that be with no new blocks solved?

confirmations

I mean, there has to be a new block to include the transactions in.

Maybe Slush has posted the transactions and some other included them in their block?

For free? A brother hood of miners. LOL

ASICMiner did.

Went up to 40.506 Ghash/s

I wonder who are the 39.780 Ghash/s still standing? VIPs?

Hoping it is just Slush updating things. Would he give a heads up though?

LOL i think the moral of this story is "Quit watching the pool mine and go read a book or watch TV".   Grin

That’s funny. I have been actually reading Bertrand Meyer at the time, and pushing the F5 on occasion to see how the pool is doing.

Looks like one of the server’s unloaded the pent-up data all it once.

I wonder what would have happened if a block was solved right at that time. I would have gotten an insanely high payout, I think. LOL

The 'last share at' went like this:

15 minutes
9 minutes
5 minutes
0 minutes

All in less than a minute; and the worker’s score is about a million times higher than what it should be.

The minutes and score are jumping up and down.

Same issue right here. A worker is submitting shares, the shares get accepted, but the web page statistics shows that the worker has not submitted any new shares in 13 minutes now.

No need to even calculate anything, there is "Current shares CDF" right on the stats page. Jump to the pool when that number is high enough for your liking.

Just kidding. LOL
59  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Lets talk hardware wallets... on: June 19, 2013, 10:20:13 PM
You probably have to wait until they release the source for it.

No problem with that. Nice talking to you.

Cool, thank you.

Last question: where is the algorithm for converting a pass phrase to the master seed?

I appreciate your help.
