42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Pump Alert service on: August 05, 2017, 10:24:04 AM
I'm using coindera.com a crypto monitoring and alert service.

Looked at it, but this is more like an alert setup service, for such alerts i use coinwink wich has actually a free sms alert service to start with.

What i'm looking for is a service like cryptoping but where i am able to choose for wich coins i get notifications so my phone doesnt get flooded with alerts and i need to check my damn phone every 5 seconds and where i dont need to pay 0.01BTC(30$) membership cost a month. Max cost for me for such a service that i'm willing to spend is 15$ a month tbh, anything more is overpriced..

following this thread. now i am using blockfollio only for getting listed coin pump and dump news. will following this thread for getting update about this.
I'm also using blockfolio and bitcoin checker ,tabtrader it depends i have many service using for my good trading and analyze price before i enter the market but this is for good monitoring only of some alts i for most stidy the graph and the market why it is volatile if its unusual .If you are holding a coin it is needed the pump alert service / dump times also .but if you are always playing and paying attention in the market it is different approach so it depends what is your purpose for me.

Looks like my phone has a new app named blockfolio Wink looks good but does not yet do what i looking for here in this thread, nice addition though.
and i already have bitcoinchecker for their widget.

... 0.01 BTC (30$) is pretty much nothing compared to the earnings you could get, If you invest wisely.
I agree cryptoping is a very good bot, but that monthly price is way to much for me, that all depends on how much you have up for trading, investments is something you dont want to sell by buy and sell signals, investments to me mean hodlin.

So for what i have up for trading, this monthly price of 30 is seriously overpriced and has everything to do with the fact cryptoping has no decent known competitors, if by now it already had at least 2 other competitors this price would have been around the 5-20$ and i would have probably upgraded already.

If you are in telegram, there are a lot of interlinked groups that are involved in pump and dump functions.
One of many is @cryptomoon (I'm not in anyway related to them) is the one I've joined and they aggregate from almost all of the telegram groups.

The problem with this is that firstly its not based on AI but instead on other ppl, therefore the consistency and quality of these alerts are not always accurate and secondly you can't setup to watch only specifik coins, i might just aswell keep using cryptoping
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Pump Alert service on: August 03, 2017, 02:13:43 PM
Hi,

Is there any kind of service out there that sends alerts out when a coin is having large increase in buy volume,
something like cryptoping bot but honestly i find it to expensive, 0.01 BTC per month for subscription is way to much, 0.005 BTC is a price i can live with.

It has to be able for me to choose only certain coins to watch so i dont get flooded with alerts for coins i dont want to follow.
How it sends me the alert notifications doesnt really matter as long as it does just that.

https://xbt.eu/

This website has an UASF BIP148 Countdown but I'm not sure if it is true or not but it seems like it is true. You can take a look at it.

Thanks but this has nothing to do with the UAHF to bitcoin cash (BCH), segwit will be locked in that i knew and this chain will not split
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin cash fork follow up on: July 31, 2017, 12:29:42 PM
Hello,

is there a place where i can follow in realtime the forking of btc to btc and bch?
or how can i know when the fork has succesfully been completed, the bch ledger will be around 4Gb if i interpret it correctly? so i guess it wont take long untill its fully forked.

but i'd rather have some real-time confirmation of when the fork is completed so that i know when i can take my btc out of my wallet.

49  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Letting MS excell or google spreadsheet get market data from exchanges on: July 11, 2017, 10:36:59 PM
Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to get MS Excel to interact with an exchange such as bittrex or poloniex using my accounts API key.

I would want to bring in the realtime vallue's of certain cryptocurrencies/assets into excel without manually having to enter them all in there each time i wanna do a check,
anyone know if and how this is possible?

I'm not sure if Excel supports something like this, but you should be able to at least use the API to grab the values and then write a script to place them in a CSV file which could be imported to Excel. You would of course need some programming experience or know/hire someone to code it for you.

Combining this with what iluvpie60 recommended, i managed to use the Public api from coinmarketcap to fetch the required data, but the problem i have now is that when i combine this with public api ticker, is that it auomaticly downloads the returned response in a json file. so i'm stuck here for now..

So now i have the data i want in a json file, now i need to get that json file into Excel and make it automaticly refresh every minute or so(redownloading the json -> import into excel automaticly)

This has helped me alot so far, but now i'm stuck for now: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/6b16fk/how_to_import_coinmarketcap_data_into_excel_and/
looks like i need excel 2016 or powerquery installed for excel 2013, cant install anything on this pc...

BTW im also open for the google spreadsheet option
edit: soem info for spreadsheet: https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/60jofq/import_price_on_bittrex_in_a_google_sheet/

Excel should have the functionality of importing data from a website. Open up Excel and click on the Data tab, clck on the buttom that says "From Web". You should be able to  navigate to the site you want to get data from(assuming it is open and lets you capture it).

Check out some guides on doing this on youtube, but it should work for most of the exchanges and most sites.

Thanks, i just tried it and unfortunatly it doesnt work on bittrex and poloniex, that would have done the trick though...
Back to the drawing board Smiley

Guys, I have some more bad news coming in. The BTC-e site has been down for well over half an hour now. I hope it is just another DDoS attack, and not a hack targeting the coins in the hot wallet. And BTW, the Bitcoin exchange rates seems to have stabilized a bit. I am analyzing the rates in bitcoinwisdom.com, and the prices seems to have stabilized at $2,500-2,600 levels.

It's practicly every bitcoin supplier that is having issue's, i guess to many ppl where trying to buy in on the low price.
I've been scavenging tons of websites and most of them have their limits lowered or where either not working or where either asking a shitload of transaction fee, its outrageous, anytime the BTC downs, it seems to be very very hard to get a decent amount of bitcoins..
Already bitcoin price drops $400 in half day. this is huge loss those who are waiting for to hit $3k. I don't know for what reason the price dropping. it went up to $2550, but now it is recovering. Maybe you right the price is going to stable at $2500 to $2600. But still, it is a good price and those who are waiting to buy bitcoins this is the best time. I hope it will recover slowly.

If only i could, there isnt a single supplier that lets me buy an entire bitcoin..

Anyone know a decent instant bitcoin broker that can sell me bitcoins at the price it stands now?
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All cryptocurrencies vallue dropping fast atm on: June 12, 2017, 05:43:53 PM
Its frustrating as fuck that i can't play in on this event, if i buy bitcoins now it takes like 3-5 days untill my payment is reached and i get the bitcoins...
still waiting on my bitcoin purchase from 08/06 .... damn banks...

any way of buying bitcoin instantaniously?

Shouldn't matter if you are talking about Coinbase. If you purchase .05 Bitcoin for $200 now and waiting authorization, When it shows up it will still be .05 Bitcoin for $200.
I'm waiting for my order of 50€ at coinify, are you sure that i will buy the coin at the price as of when i bought it? that doesnt seem logic, i think i saw somewhere at coinify that the price could change depending on the price when they recieve the money, are you saying that this isnt the case coinbase?
so when i buy one bbitcoin now with them i would pay the price i pay now?
