What pairs does it trade in the Bittrex? Thanks.

I used Bittrex before, and it seemed to me that all pairs available at the exchange were tradeable in leonArdo. Haven't checked every single pair, though, but there was a lot, and never missed one.

I have pretty simple question, i couldn't find way to change market fee. By default it thinks that poloniex does have 0.25% maker/taker fee. But in reality maker is 0.15%. (And what if i have higher trading tier?) Where can i edit it so it will show me true calculations?

It's not editable, but from what I remember it was discussed before: leonArdo considers 0.25% because it's the worst-case scenario, or in other words, your profit will be *at least* (gain)-(fees), but if you're a maker you have 0.1% extra profit on top of that. By considering the worst-case scenario, the app makes sure the effective gain is always met. It may have to apply always 0.25% because the exchange API may not have a method of informing if you were a taker or a maker for a particular trade.

Bitfinex is so awful slow actually.... Some times API calls need up to 40 seconds to get done .... which is jut PITA if you just want to adapt an order (which results in cancelling, checking for the order to be gone, checking for fund aviability, sending new order, waiting until order becomes active)...

I've also noticed this behavior, but only with the new versions (3.7.x). Informed Jonathan, he said it's because they had to temporarily change the Bitfinex interface from Websockets to REST (at least for some functionalities), to workaround an issue with Bitfinex. I returned to version 3.6.0, and it's blazing fast with Bitfinex, as always it's been. Let's wait after they return from the much deserved Christmas break and hope this gets sorted out. Smiley

For those of you who said have lost money with the bot, first make sure you understand what Bollinger Bands are and what the parameters mean. Then, keep in mind this scenario I mentioned: the stop-loss options are your friends, while a minimum gain is not introduced. And no bot is "set-it-and-forget-it".

In my case, the purchases and sales are made without the candles touching the signal lines. I'm on bittrex.

That's weird, could be something related to Bittrex, then... I'm using Bitfinex, and the bot does trigger a buy when touching the lower band, and a sell when touching the upper band.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Bitcoin Trading Bot for Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp, Bitfinex.. on: December 21, 2017, 10:21:40 PM
Tested the BB bot with two currency pairs: made money with one, even with a stop-loss selling triggered later on. With the other, lost money, because the market price dropped a lot, and when the reversal started, it touched my configured upper BB band at a lower price (EDIT: didn't setup a stop-loss with this one).

So, to avoid this, an easy solution would be to add a "minimum gain" feature like the other bots: if the candle touches the upper band BUT that would represent an effective gain < minimum gain, don't do anything, and continuously test this condition until effective gain >= minimum gain.

Guys, I stumbled upon this little freeware app to flash image files to USB sticks:

http://winflashtool.sysprogs.com/

What I liked is the ability to resize ext2 partitions during the flashing itself, meaning you can easily make it fill the entire disk space. I tested with nvOC and a 32 GB USB stick, and it correctly resized the root partition to fill the usually unused 16 GB disk space (meaning you can use it now).

Could be interesting for people who don't want to use GParted (or fdisk/resize2fs) after flashing, and just would like to use the entire disk space for the root partition.

Good info. Nvov's root partition is ext4 but if it worked for you it must work for ext4 too.
Thx.

Yes it does, ext2/ext3/ext4, even though it advertises only ext2.

leonArdo 3.7.0 released

Oh YEAH!! Have I said you guys are AWESOME? I think so, but I'll say it again, just in case. Smiley And it was sooner than expected, a very welcome Christmas gift. The BB bot, together with the amazing visual interface that's leonArdo's showcase, is HUGE. And the other improvements/bug fixes are very welcome too. Will play with it soon.

Hi guys, I'd like to suggest a new feature: the possibility to reorder the currency pair tabs, e.g. by dragging-and-dropping to a new position. Sometimes I find myself in a situation where it would be better to have certain pairs next to each other on the screen, to make more sense visually and when quickly switching between them.

Of course this is nothing urgent, just and idea for the future, if you think it's worth the cost/benefit of the implementation.

Thanks!

Does anyone have any problems with Bittrix ping-pong? Jonathan (from Margin UG) says that my problems are due to  Bittrix's high API load...

Don't know if it's the same you are experiencing, but Bittrex for me has been very slow lately. It's not leonArdo fault, but really the Bittrex API, as Jonathan told you: it lags, specially in times of high load. I can confirm that because I've recently switched to Bitfinex, which uses a different technology for their API, and it is MUCH better. I'm now keeping these two exchanges in leonArdo: Bitfinex for daily trading, and Bittrex for "exotic" currencies I may occasionally trade (they usually have more trading pairs than the other exchanges).

Bittrex doesnt have webdocs?

Websockets, you meant? No, just a REST API. Don't know if the main reason for the Bittrex lag is their API technology or server/network load, though. I also haven't tested other exchanges, just these two (there may be other good performers).

Hey guys, first, congratulations to all involved in improving nvOC! Smiley Given this new unofficial testing release, I have a few questions:

1) Has fullzero abandoned development of nvOC? Is this unofficial release going to take over and become the official one, or are we going to have two branches?

2) papampi and the others involved: are you planning to release a full image (.img or .iso) once the testing is completed?

I really like this bot and i have made my money back and then some. But I have struggled to keep the bot running consistently, mainly because my ping pongs always break out of the range ive got setup.

Have you guys found the margin maker to be a better setup then the ping pong?

Also is there a way to get some indicators loaded? I am interested in setting up a bot based off indicators.

From my experience, the ping-pong bot is good when the market is horizontal. However, since currently we are seeing lots of ups and downs for most currencies, I'd go with the mArgin Maker. It can better adjust itself to this scenario, and if you setup (and accept) a slight negative gain, it will adapt even better (for instance, it can trade at a loss a few times, expecting higher gains when the market swings up again).

Regarding bots based on indicators, the developers are working hard on that, and according to their posts here, we should expect them soon.

How fast does this bot trade and keep charts updated with bittrex? Is it as fast as being directly on the bittrex site, or is there a delay/lag in the order book, charts, buys and sells?

Is it faster than the delay between coinigy/bittrex?

Lastly, why does Windows warn me that your demo is dangerous and I should not run it.

I used to use Bittrex, but now I moved to Bitfinex, because their API is faster (at least for my use). Bittrex uses a REST API, while Bitfinex uses Websockets, which are more appropriate for this kind of scenario (lots of pushes from the server side, realtime updates etc.). As far as I know, only Bitfinex implements Websockets. The exchanges have different policies, fees etc., so check that before choosing one. If trading performance is the most important thing, I'd recommend Bitfinex.

Trading with leonArdo is MUCH, much better than with the website interface (Bittrex or Bitfinex). Try the demo and you'll surprise yourself. And regarding the Windows Defender warning, it's a false-positive, you can safely run the app.

Hello. I installed a demo version and when I try to open the programm I get this error . I have a windows 10 and all versions of framework and visial c++ are installed. Can somebody help me to figure out what is wrong?

Do you happen to have Bitdefender installed? I used to get these same errors (not on opening the app, though, but after some time), and they were 100% gone after I added "C:\Program Files (x86)\mArgin-leonArdo\leonardo.exe" to Bitdefender's Advanced Threat Defense exclusions. Now it runs 100% stable for hours and hours, without a single crash. Even if you don't use Bitdefender but another antivirus, try something equivalent and see how it goes.

Problem sort of solved itself after a couple of hours, so i guess it had something to do with bittrex API.

Yes, that's an issue with the bittrex API not responding correctly more than likely due to a high load.

People who use POLONIEX:

How is your experience with the latest version of leonArdo during these times of high load? Do you experience fast responsiveness from the interface, especially when placing/changing/removing orders? I'm considering changing from Bittrex to Poloniex, but since that requires me purchasing a new exchange license, I'd do it only when 100% sure it will perform better than Bittrex.

Thanks!

Having strange issue while using bot on bittrex, while placing buy and sell orders in manual everything works like it should, but when using margin maker strategy initial buy or sell order is placed without a problem, when comes time to adapt order this happens:

11/27 06:15:28 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] transition to "check whether order must be adapted"
11/27 06:15:29 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] the current order must be adapted as the next buy price (38.8056316) differs from the current price (38.52)
11/27 06:15:29 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] transition to "canceling order"
11/27 06:15:37 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] order was canceled successfully
11/27 06:15:37 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] canceled order [ID:38] was: buy 10.26048467 NEO @38.52 USDT o.remains: 10.26048467 NEO received: 0 NEO ... results in decreased next amount: 10.26048467 NEO
11/27 06:15:37 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] transition to "replacing order"
11/27 06:15:38 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] transition to "creating buy order"
11/27 06:15:39 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] placing order buy 10.26048467 NEO @38.8056316 USDT
11/27 06:15:39 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] transition to "waiting for order to be placed"
11/27 06:16:04 am bittrex:NEO/USDT: in placeOrder: placed order could not be found in api place order json return was: {
}
11/27 06:16:05 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] an exception occured while the bot was running :'order could not be placed'
11/27 06:16:05 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] error recovery mode for [placing-failed] active: will try to recover 5 minutes ...
11/27 06:16:05 am bittrex:bot:NEO/USDT: [strategy-0] transition to "error occurred waiting for reinitialization"

After that same error keeps looping infinitely, but if i stop bot and relaunch him, first order again placed without a problem, after that - error loop. What could be causing this?

That's the same behavior that sometimes happen to me with Bittrex, already reported to the support team. Not only with the Margin Maker, but sometimes also when changing orders (price/amount). I don't know if it's a Bittrex problem with their API, but sometimes it is really annoying, specially when the market is highly active.

The new version is great, has been very stable so far, and the new features are very welcome! However I think I found a small bug:

1) In "Active orders", right click an order, choose "Adapt price".

2) The amount is initially with only 4 decimal places. If you try to type more decimal places, it doesn't let you.

3) However, if you delete (backspace) one of the initial decimals, then it allows you to type more than 4.

4) I suggest that besides fixing this bug, to start with 6 decimal places, allowing up to 8, as it will fit most currencies scenarios.

Thanks!

EDIT: in fact it looks more erratic than that. For instance, typing with the numeric keyboard (with Num Lock on, of course) doesn't work; sometimes only a certain number is accepted in the input box, even after deleting the original contents; I couldn't find a precise scenario for these, but I'm sure that if you try, you will notice that.

Random question: Is it possible to maybe add a feature to the bot, that'll show you how much profit you gained from a completed sell order? Maybe in the completed order column ? I know there's a gain % that'll display green, I'd like to see a calculated profit or loss gain feature.

If there's a third party app of this, could anyone help me out by pointing me to the right direction of what I am asking for please ?

You can check the % gain/loss for two particular trades by placing your mouse cursor over the executed order icon (blue or orange triangle) for a few seconds. It will show a comparison between the two trades. For instance, let's say you bought at X, then sold at Y. Letting the mouse cursor over the first trade icon, it will popup a comparison with the subsequent sell.

But one thing missing from leonArdo is a global gain/loss statistic, for each currency pair or for all currency pairs, over a specified time period. That would be a great addition, and already suggested (and acknowledged by the developers).

leonArdo 3.6.0 released

What started out as a patch release to add websocket support to Bitfinex,  turned into a full release! We hope you like the progress we've made.

Cool, nice new features and important bug fixes! Thanks for keeping the product updated.
