41  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin ATM Profibility? on: August 09, 2017, 02:15:37 AM
IT all depends on your rates, of course.

IF the rate is low (under 10% above market rate) then more people will buy.

If your rate is high (over 10%), do not expect to have many customers.

43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex has given users their BCC 1:1 on: August 02, 2017, 07:24:44 AM
I just checked my bittrex account this morning and noticed I have been given BCC at 1:1 of the BTC I had. Interesting!
Though the BCC wallet is still under maintenance on the website so I am not sure it can be exchanged yet but I guess they eventually kept to their promise. Any other exchange that has kept to theirs?

EDITED: It can be traded, but until the wallet maintenance is done, you cannot deposit or withdraw the BCC.

Bitfinex is only giving 0.85 BCH per Bitcoin, so consider yourself lucky.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 29, 2017, 03:38:58 PM
BTC-e shit is down     LOL

I warned about BTC-e(and many like them) since years ago... Smiley

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-greece-russia-arrest-suspect-idUSKBN1AB1VR

BTC value will drop for sure  Smiley

Bitcoin price has gone up since the BTC-e news. I can't believe it. I thought it would go down too, but apparently not.

I still think it crashes hard down to $1,000 over the long term. This level of growth is simply unsustainable.
45  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Should exchanges be trusted anymore? on: July 29, 2017, 03:34:06 PM
Had been in a dilemma after seeing BTC-E's owner being arrested for a $4 Billion money-laundering fraud which he had been conducting, who knows that from when. First Mt Gox, then Bitfinex then Poloniex and now this, few were hacked and some had their admins only cheating their users.
Do you really think any exchanges are trustworthy anymore?

Exchanges should never be trusted in the first place. Everyone knew the dangers of using exchanges, they can easily steal your money.

You forgot to mention Cryptsy which is a huge exchange that went down a couple years ago now people are trying to sue them.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: July 28, 2017, 01:01:24 AM
No its not a panic time my brother, everyone and all of investors are expecting huge price drop on bitcoin before august 1 will be in and hard fork will happen,so no panic selling its predicted already
I think the selling panic has happened a few days ago when the price dropped to $ 2200 because of the hardfork that will happen. And then the price goes back up to $ 2500, I do not know what keeps the price back up, maybe a lot of users are already convinced that bitcoin will get through the problem well

The price went down to $1,850 on BTC-e, just one week before they got caught for hacking Mt. Gox!

I personally do not think anything is going to happen come August 1st. There will be no significant change in the market and everyone will forget about this drama in a few months.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My first day of trading on: July 28, 2017, 12:29:52 AM
A couple days ago I transfered enough from my bank account to buy 1 Bit coin.  While waiting for the $ to make it from the bank to the exchange I had $75.00 invested so could use it to practice with.  Keep in mind that I had no experience with bit coin trading and my past day trading did not go well.

Today I saw that SC (Siacoin) was above 10% and volume was above 10,000.  It was also very active pumping up and down.  I did four buy and sell trades, not aiming for much more than 5% profit on each one and increased my $75.00 to $91.00.  It was a great leaning experience.  Also very humbling because on the first trade I made a mistake and lucked out.

Scott

Hey man that is an amazing result for your first day of trading! You made 25% ROI on your money in once day... normally it takes years to do that.

Just play it safe and don't keep your money on exchanges unless you want it to get stolen.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Capitalism Flawed? on: July 26, 2017, 08:07:05 PM
Is Capitalism flawed? I used to believe that Capitalism solves issues, but if I really look around me, it actually only creates more issues that were not here before.

> There are many rich people with tons of capital but there are more unemployed people that will not have access to that

> People are living in luxury mansions and driving very expensive car, and then kids are starving in other places

> Profits of companies is going up, but real wages going down, people are living paycheck to paycheck

> Everyone is in debt, nobody has any savings, and most people are working part time jobs

> Nobody has a house, nobody can afford one, yet real estate speculators own thousands of them

> Banks have trillions of $ of money, but they still charge you 50$ / transaction because of their greed

> People have no future prospects, no career opportunity, they just live from paycheck to paycheck trying to pay off the debt and buy some shit GMO food filled with poison, because why sell healthy food to the public when the GMO food is more profitable?

It looks to me like Capitalism is flawed. Nobody has any money and everyone is suffering. I think a universal income must be implemented as fast as possible.

Capitalism creates great income inequality, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It is a scientifically proven those who make $75,000+ annually are essentially as content with their lives as multimillionaires. The reasons for this are many, but mostly because the rich work more hours... even though they have more, they spend way more time working and therefore have far less time to actually enjoy the fruits of their labor.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money in cryptocurrencies? on: July 26, 2017, 08:03:41 PM
Ok, so I have £1500.

I am 17 years old. I want to make money...
I have three weeks of summer left to do it.
I know that buying and holding Bitcoin is almost guaranteed to make me money in the long run but, I need more money than I already have.

How do I get 10x returns in three weeks?
Altcoins? ICO? Buy a Bitcoin ATM? Create a cryptocurrency myself?

Thanks

Sorry to break it to you, but it will be almost impossible to get 2x return in three weeks let alone 10x. Maybe in three years...
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rothschild Just Bought $210,000 Worth Of Bitcoin on: July 25, 2017, 04:11:06 AM
I wouldn't doubt if he bought some bitcoin, but serious why $210,000 worth. You know he is worth a trillion dollars could he not just buy an exchange or something.

The Rothschilds' wealth is a common misconception. People think they're worth Trillions. They are not. In 2015 Forbes ranked the wealthiest of the Rothschild clan at #1150 or so, estimating his wealth to be $1.4b.

Here's more information about the myth that is the Rothschilds wealth: http://www.snopes.com/rothschild-family-wealth/

even the wealthiest family in the world, the rothschilds are joining in bitcoin, it only means that bitcoin will be stable, known for a banking family, the rothschilds must have seen something of value with bitcoins, and i just hope this is not something that they wanted to take over since money is just paper to them.

They are definitely not the worlds most wealth family. The Walton's (of Wal-Mart) have greater wealth. And then what about the Buffet or Gates families?

Are you sure about this? I was always under the impression they were worth trillions, and why would they be famous if they were just normal billionaires?
51  Economy / Economics / Re: bip 91 locks in!!! on: July 21, 2017, 10:11:42 PM
Were going to the moon!! Chain split wont happen.

I was wondering why the 24 hour price jump from $2,000 to almost $3,000. That is insane.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHEN will BTC rise again and WHY? on: July 15, 2017, 04:30:05 PM
Ive been watching the markets sence bitcoin was 150$/BTC, i have been promoting bitcoin and the use of it for a long time, but why should BTC ever rise again? There have been a peak thru overbuying and now somebody has to pay = coin value drop.

Hard fork, soft fork doesnt matter the value wont rise above 2k$ again?
It wasnt meant to?

I have not sold my Coins but i dont believe in 4-10-100 000$ /BTC

What is happening now is a normal trend for Bitcoin. An exponential/parabolic rise followed by long-term slow decline.

What you can count on is the price will not fall below the previous peak, or at least not far below it. For the record, that was $1,200... so you can bet Bitcoin will not fall below $1,000 again. With that said, consider selling your BTC at this moment to save any losses from this inevitable drop over the long term. When the price bottoms out, rebuy and you will have far more Bitcoin than you started with.

This. The price is going to continue to lower as the bubble is now officially burst and people are panic selling like mad. It will continue lowering all the way to possibly $900, but most likely will not fall below $1,000 again and bottom out around $1,100 or so.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need help to identify these 2 addresses on: July 15, 2017, 04:24:31 PM
I have been scammed by these 2 addresses.

Is it possible to tell which exchange these addresses belong to? I might contact the exchange to know the user then.
Its near impossible to track those addresses specially they are belong on an exchange wallet and I don't think that those exchanges would bother to search up those things for you. Knowing that they are busy on doing things and they will unlikely to get serious on this kind of cases. Would like to know how much did you lost? This is really a hard situation when someone scams you through btc transfers its nearly considered as lost forever and don't bother to look up.

Yup. The addresses are from an exchange and there is simply no way they would take the precious time necessary out of their day to look into this issue. It sucks, but unfortunately is the case here.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: Rothschild: Get Ready For One World Currency By 2018 on: July 14, 2017, 09:54:22 PM
I have doubts about some Illuminati-like organization trying to achieve this goal but if there ever is, it's definitely not happening by the end of this year. There's just too much factors still to consider. Some keep pointing out that this group has already supposedly controlled the economy of America and Europe, what does that make of Russia and China though? They definitely have their own game they're trying to play. China for example is developing it's own digital currency. More like the currency wars would just go digital...

Agreed! There is absolutely no way in this world, no matter how hard governments tried or got paid that there could be a "one world currency" fully adopted and integrated to anywhere near the same degree as cash/credit, etc. that we have now. I could see it happening, but definitely not by 2018...  Roll Eyes
55  Economy / Services / Re: Need developer/s for bitcoin casino, budget 2.5BTC, details inside! on: July 14, 2017, 09:49:37 PM
Hello,

I need to develop for a client bitcoin casino which includes the following games:

1 live sports betting.
1 poker, not live, but players would be able to play against each other and not against the house.
1 roulette game.
1 black jack game.

Time frame: 2 months

please send me a private message with your offers.

This is a huge undertaking. It sounds to me like you might not be aware just how hard and long you will need to work to make this happen.

For example, just one aspect you will need to make for sure is SECURITY. How do you plan to protect poker players from using hacks to view their opponent's hole cards? You do realize it isn't that hard, right?

Not to mention that 2.5 BTC is a very, very, very low budget for a project like this. That is equivalent to only about $5,500 US.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is This A "Willy Bot" In Action? on: July 12, 2017, 04:15:49 AM
We all know how Mt Gox manipulated bitcoin price by creating "Willy Bot". I'm wondering what stops others from doing the same? I mean anyone with enough resources can easily develop such bots and manipulate the market as per their need.

Right now bitcoin price is dropping and everyone thinks it's due to the fear of what might unfold on August 1. Is it not possible that some whales might be using this situation as a cover up to manipulate the market yet again?

I doubt this is the case. We were in a bubble. The price rose exponentially in a short time period of a few months - whenever that happens, a crash is inevitable. I thought the price would peak well over $3,000 around $3,500-4,000 however it obviously isn't the case. We are now headed for a long period of decline, not unsimilar to 2014-2017, but eventually the price will go back up and surpass $10,000. I predict this will happen within 5 years.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we moving towards the Global Crypto Currency Depression? on: July 12, 2017, 04:07:50 AM
As per coinmarketcap website, we have 970 crypto currencies available at this point of time. If we sort the list by clicking on Change (24h) column, I can see that price of only 13 coins were increased in last 24 hours. Rest all coins are facing the depreciation.

Even bitcoin price is standing at 2359 USD at this point. Are we moving towards a Global Crypto Currency Depression? What's causing this massive depreciation?

The market cap of all cryptocurrencies was around $116.5 billion in mid-June and today less than $78 billion today so yeah it could be said that cryptocurrencies are going through a temporary depression. Ethereum took the worst hit and it is expected, market is being flooded with ICO sell orders. Bitcoin and altcoin prices are correlated to some extent. Compared to altcoins, bitcoin is still more stable, there would be some uncertainty in the market until August 1.

Altcoins almost always follow the price of Bitcoin. As a matter of fact, the only one which did not during this last parabolic rise has been Litecoin. For some reason Litecoin actually went down while Bitcoin was rising, and then when Bitcoin started falling Litecoin climbed from $30 to $45 in a few days.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Wall Street Predicting Bitcoin To Hit $55,000 In 5 Years on: July 10, 2017, 08:29:10 PM
Straight of the printing press the paper is still hot and the ink wet as we deliver this story to you this evening.

Top Wall Street strategists see bitcoin 'cannibalizing' gold, worth as much as $55,000.

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/07/07/strategist-tom-lee-weighs-sees-bitcoin-going-as-high-as-55000.html

Updates if we can be bothered to post them...

This would not be surprising, really. Think about it... Bitcoin multiplies by three every time we see a parabolic rise. It would only take a few more of those to get there, and 5 years is certainly enough time. Heck, we could see more than 3x rise, like 6x (previous two parabolic rises). In this case, we could see this figure in just a few years, actually.
59  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your opinion on recreational drug use on: July 10, 2017, 08:24:01 PM
there is no recreational drugs. if you are using any of the mentionated drugs, u gotta look for treatment. You think that u are only getting wasted and actually you are escaping from ur reality and as u climb the "drugs stairs" when u get to the top of it. U gonna be wasted for real. U will only have 3 places to go. Cemetery, clinic or jail. its gonna be up to u . good luck

Yeah, very wrong hobby, No good will be given to drugs, if you use drugs. You get high and you can do something wrong, all i can say is dont waste time to use drugs because it is not good to us .it does have a bad effect.

Certainly but there are drugs that used for its healing property or medicinal value and that is cannabis oil which can be extracted to the marijuana. Other than that, I cannot think of any other drugs that has medicinal value.  Sad to think that there are these drugs that can be abused by people to think that they have problems and can only be resolved by drugs.  Drug addiction cannot do anything good both mentally and physically.

There are several naturally occurring plant medicines that have huge medicinal value, cannabis being one of them.  Since drug policy is pretty much dictated by the pharmaceutical industry, natural plant medicines from which they cannot profit, and which actually solve problems, will be lobbied to be kept illegal.  Cannabis has countless medicinal properties.  Psychedelics such as psilocybin, peyote/huachuma, ayahuasca/DMT, or iboga, have powerful medicinal properties.  Ayahuasca and iboga have 80% + success rate for people with addiction to substances like alcohol or heroin.  Compare that to AA, which has a 5% success rate.  MDMA had been used very successfully clinically for people with PTSD, allowing them to successfully revisit traumatic experiences and reconcile their issues that have been tucked away and negatively impacting them and those around them.  Then MDMA became illegal and you go back to taking a pill everyday for the rest of your life, and never solving the issue, just trying to mask the symptoms, from big pharma.  None of these substances I mentioned are physically addictive.

Regardless of the medicinal value, you should not have to go to prison for putting any substance in your body.  If you cause harm, then be penalized for the harm you cause (with or without substances).

While I agree with a lot of your post, there is one big error.

Cannabis is scientifically proven to be both mentally and physically addictive. It is far more mentally/psychologically addictive then physically, but the truth is it really is addictive.

If you do not believe me, simply Google "drug addiction chart" to find a plot graph illustrating how addictive a given drug is compared to others. You will see that Marijuana actually ranks quite high in terms of psychological addiction.

Furthermore, I have experienced this with multiple people in my lifetime. These individuals truly wanted to quit marijuana, however they were unable to last even a single day before they went out to smoke that night.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accidental Mining Fees on: July 10, 2017, 06:07:25 AM
A universal transaction system should be setup with preset transaction fees depending on priority of any given transaction.

For example, a fast food transaction is very low priority. It is generally under $20, and fast food companies do not mind waiting 24 hours for confirmation because they have lots of money and it is something they could handle, generally speaking.

However, other high priority transaction (thousands or millions of dollars) would get a universal "higher-priority" fee. Say, level 5/10 for $1,000 transaction and level 10/10 for $1,000,000+. A fast food transaction would be 0/10, meaning 0 confirmations necessary therefore extremely low fees.

Even 0.1% of a million dollar transaction = $1,000. With a $1,000 fee your confirmations will appear in no time.

For fast food, it could take 24, 48 hours or even longer. It really doesn't matter because the transactions are so insignificant people will not bother even trying to double spend.

Hope this make sense for you.
