41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Banks - Will they Adapt to the Bitcoin Revolution? on: September 21, 2017, 04:34:18 PM
The banks are adapting, while there are still several hurdles to overcome before blockchain transforms finance and banking as we know it, the potential cost and labor savings it could create for the global financial market are so appealing that many major financial institutions are investing millions in resources to research how best to implement it.

I wish I sold pizza to Laszlo Hanyecz. If only I had known, I would have sold him a truck load of pizza for ten thousand bitcoins, back in 2010.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: September 21, 2017, 02:30:46 PM
I think it’s a commodity that can be traded for goods and services. It may become a currency in time, but it just isn’t one right now. It’s a scarce, digital commodity.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I convert my BCH to BTC? on: September 20, 2017, 03:50:53 PM
why u need convert this. bch is just an airdrop u dont loss nothing so u can keep it and wait 1-2 year. maybe it can over bitcoin

Well said, holding is the better option, It is free after-all, nothing lost if it tanks. however, If you don't plan to hold it, you can send it immediately to an exchange, possibly in different sets of transactions to protect your privacy.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's clear now China have higher amount bitcoin on: September 20, 2017, 03:03:39 PM
The trading volume before few years was dominated by the Chinese exchanges (+fake volume in some cases) but actually it is dominated by the Western one. For the bitcoin holders, it is hard to estimate which part of the world owns more bitcoin but what it is clear that BTC will not be affected so much in case of a total ban.

The Chinese government relishes banning/blocking everything they perceive as a treat to their power. From gmail, google, you tube, Wikipedia, facebook and many more, that has not stopped these companies from growing from strength to strength. It will be no different with bitcoin.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you invest in an ICO on: September 20, 2017, 11:19:40 AM
buying cryptocurrency is risky, and ICOs are riskier still. And as with all active investments in general, it is wise to never commit more money than you can afford to lose.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCC will be Bitcoin China? on: September 20, 2017, 10:00:47 AM
It is pure speculation, but I wouldn't put anything past this Chinese government. It seems to me like somebody high up there is actively trying to manipulate the bitcoin price.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: September 19, 2017, 06:58:49 PM
lol! and why will bitcoin die because of China. Yes, things happening there will impact the price, maybe drive it below $1000, but kill it? It will never happen, they are not that important.
49  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Place to Buy Bitcoin Instantly using Bank? on: September 19, 2017, 06:00:15 PM
coinbase is the world's largest bitcoin broker. In the United States you can buy bitcoin with a connected bank account via ACH bank transfer. coinbase charges a flat 1.49% fee on all transactions. You have to wait five days to receive your bitcoin. If you add a visa or mastercard credit card to your account all bitcoin purchases besides your first will be delivered instantly.

I am really confused on why I didn't get accepted.  I checked the post history of several of the people on your accepted list and half of them are spammers and clearly do not speak English.  What are the grounds for getting accepted vs denied?

All you need to understand and know is that they DON'T WANT YOU!
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 11, 2017, 11:24:52 AM
Not a great decision to fire De-Boar, how can you judge his performance after 4 games? plus during these four games they've been very unlucky against Burnely, and against against Liverpool away. They're playing good football and doing all the right things. Individual errors are costing the team, no manager is going to make those disappear overnight.
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when prices are falling on: September 04, 2017, 09:18:37 PM
Hello. I have a folio of BTC, ETH, NEO and some alts. I've been watching at Bitcoin since 2015 but bought only at this summer (and the last move was quite bad, I bought some BTC for $4600). I try to study, watch vids, read forum and twitters. Chris Dunn has a vid on the topic but nothing really specific. I'm interested in some ideas about what to do when prices are falling.  Sell alts and hold bitcoin? Short? (and if yes, so the next question is how to learn how to short?).

Neo is taking a bit due to the news coming out of China. It's a strange one, dumping it though is not the answer. With bitcoin, ignore the price and hold your nerve. Eth I'll trade for some bitcoin.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: September 04, 2017, 07:25:36 PM
It may be time to buy. The panic selling has driven the price back down to four thousand united states dollars for a bitcoin. Expect the price go up in a few days time.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: September 04, 2017, 06:26:15 PM
I missed these threads. The mongs are out in full force, it's part and parcel of investing. Only an insane person would expect a perpetual upward trajectory.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to store different altcoins? on: September 04, 2017, 05:11:31 PM
There are multiwallets indeed (eg Jaxx) but its not recommended to use them.
For ethereum I use myetherwallet and for my other altcoins I have a different wallet for each and store the passwords/phrases on paper in different locations. I also have backups of my wallets on multiple devices.
A storage manager like the nano ledger looks really good and safe but is a little expensive imo, you can get the same security if you know what you're doing with different wallets.
I suggest you read in about the different wallets for the different coins and make sure you take all the safety precautions that are listed.
Github I don't really use so I don't know much about their value.

Be careful with jaxx, a vulnerability in the Jaxx wallet lead to about $400,000 funds being hacked. Basically, users should refrain from storing substantial amounts of cryptocurrency in these type of wallets.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 04, 2017, 12:41:36 PM
Is it enough to be smart with just nothing to lean on and go on with your life? Because i feel that there are a lot of people who doesn't know how to handle their money with regards to see in the future. Is it enough to be smart and not be strategical or somewhat a person who has a lot of experience. Who would you choose?

For me it is required to be a master of both things like of course you can not have experience if you are not going to try and some people would think it's a waste of their time if they are doing what they know already like repeating their work over and over again. So it should be in a balance.

Once you're bringing home the bacon, you'll have to figure out how to slice it up. Without a budget, you risk overspending on discretionary items and undersaving for important big-ticket purchases.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!! on: September 04, 2017, 11:05:38 AM
The war against cryptocurrencies have started. Little wonder the collective market cap shrunk over the weekend. I see neo, bitcoin and other alts lost ground. Hopefully it is temporary.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China just killed the ICO market. Which ones are Chinese? on: September 04, 2017, 09:04:45 AM
You can already see the effects of the ban in the price of bitcoin an Eth. I suspect a downward trend at least for the next week or two, I fear a lot for eth.
