Anyone else think it's time for a new round of shareholder questions?

Seems like the last one was ignored/forgotten and the conference didn't really reveal much.

No more questions, he just hold a salon. I think we can just wait for the dividends.

That's cool the site owner decide to share the referral commission with its members. However, I set my referral code but did not receive the commissions.
I tested it by myself, either my microwallet or bitchest or landofbitcoin account balance changed.
Could you please address this issue?

There is no issue.

On Land of Bitcoin when your referral clicking the "Collect now" button the referral commission will be added to your balance instantly.
(But if you are logged in you will not see it instantly because your balance is cached. To refresh the cache click the Collect now button or logout/login.)

On the supported Microwallet faucets the referral commission paid automatically when 1000 or more satoshi accumulated. If you want cash it out before the 1000 satoshi, visit the faucet and enter your Bitcoin address/username (no need to fill out the captcha for this).

On Bit Chest you should see it instantly.

Thanks for the reply, Land of Bitcoin referral is fine. Microwallet I will wait for the commission to accumulated to 1000, I retested(changed to a new bitcoin address) the Bitchest but it still doesn't work. I guess its my problem.

You can transfer AM100 in 796 to direct share and 796 give AM100 100% dividend.

what's your development situation now? Expected date for first batch?

Sales price will be adjusted if BTC rises.

So if we link the current price of 0,5$ to the current BTC price of 666$ we get a to-date sales price of 0.00075 BTC/G.

Using a factor of 0.9 for an average future price and retaining 1/3 for Gen4, I come to a gross-income per share of 0.06756757 BTC for the 60P.

Basically correct, but I believe we can't sell for $0.5/GH/s in the future. That batch will be sold within the next 1.5 months, so we'll achieve a price of about $0.35/GH/s. And we should brace for a price above $700. Also, FC's wording seems to suggest that we won't adjust the chip price that much but rather sell more chips.

My calculation for those interested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=99497.msg7148348#msg7148348

I used to worry about the rising USD/BTC exchange rate, but it appears that AM has the production capacity to pump out chips.

If the exchange rate goes up and AM doesn't change the price per chip, then sales volume should increase to offset volatility. ....because as USD/BTC goes up, each chip earns more USD (also need to account for difficulty increase).
Agree with that, a rising BTC price would expand Gen3's lifecycle. Anyway, hope the mining farm could deploy earlier to offset the BTC price problem.

Forget to ask FC will they change the chip price based on BTC price. It may sound silly, but I don't think the chip price is so flexible. That is a huge risk, because BTC price can be really crazy.

Maybe we can suggest a BTC buy/sell program where "X" amount of BTC is bought or sold each day to average prices and maintain a BTC to USD ratio.

We should ask FC how he plans to deal with the BTC price risk, you cannot collect a huge amount of cash and throw it in the BTC market, it would be a tragedy for us.
48  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 05, 2014, 03:31:44 PM
fc "kind of" answered to the BTC/USD issue. Although I honestly don't really get what he means with that.

(...)

2) How many months of inventory do you estimate that represents?
Depending on the Bitcoin price. Under this price we expect it to be 1-1.5.

(...)

That means the market demand for Gen3, it depends on the BTC price. With a higher BTC price, we can expect a higher inventory turnover. For $700/BTC, it's 1-1.5.

1) What is the status, size, and expected delivery of the next batch of chips? What about the one after that?
re 1) This month: 850k, next month: 3.35m (order size), June: 6.7m (order size), assuming each chip is 10G.

Still don't understand the financial report, in the cash flow sheet, the chip sales income is around $4.5m, divided by $0.35/G, means the sales in May was 12.85PH, it's quite below 33.5PH. AM I wrong about this?

The chip sales income is most likely income from the April batch, maybe some May - we don't know. This gives us about 10 PH/s for April. The majority of the May batch is supposed to be in the inventory, which is probably priced in production costs.

Thanks, so the materials refer to wafers, assuming its cost is $0.15/G. Products refer to chips assuming its cost is $0.2/G. Therefore, we have around 48PH in hand, and will generate revenues as 16.8m($0.35/G). There are still 50PH is waiting to be produced. Minus the cost 10m, the remaining profit is around 6.8m, in current btc rate, per share dividends for this batch is 0.0257btc. The last 50PH will generate 15m($0.3/G), let's assume AM will retain half of them and cease Gen3 production, the dividends for the last batch is 0.0284btc. TOTAL 0.0541. Unfortunately, we are in a btc bull market, that may be the biggest risk.

Who receives the rest of the 850k chips? What do we know/assume?

A big miner producer called "Hashratio" in China also has received a huge amount of Gen3 chips. However, they are focused on self-mining and huge clients, so many people don't know their existence.

What do you guys guess per share dividends will total over the next year?

400,000 btc at least.

1btc/share

Finally! Fantastic! You've done a great job!

It wouldn't be so bad if we got more than boiler room updates on how the ASIC was progressing. Fundamental to the equation but information regarding the business strategy with the recent rockminer development is thin at best.

yes, I suggest new round of shareholders questions for Friedcat 1-2 weeks after the 1st batch madness (what do you think friendly pumpkin? Smiley are you going to take initiative? )

and about that 0.49$-0.99$/Ghs pricing strategy ... ASICminer should really re-evaluate this after testing gen3. The selling price should be 10-20% under the competition, but not 500% ! Also we'll have product in hand, no pre-orders BS. Its insane pricing, its like tunneling a company in prime time LIVE. Shareholders are watching. I don't want to see, that ASICminer is selling chips 500% under current market price to Chinese mining mafia friends  Tongue

I agree, FC need to explain his price strategy.

Rockxie, who is the exclusive distributer for Asicminer's mining machine in China, announced that he will produce his own miners.

I don't really get the implications of this.

Sorry, apparently my english needs improvement. Please allow me to make it clear.
In China, Rockxie was the exclusive distributer for AM's former miners, such as usb miner, blade, cube and etc.
Rockxie has just announced that he will produce his own mining products which would employ AM's Gen3 chips.
I think AM will be a pure chip supplier and they would not produce their own mining machine in the forseeable future.

News from a Chinese miner forum:http://cybtc.com/article-655-1.html

Rockxie, who is the exclusive distributer for Asicminer's mining machine in China, announced that he will produce his own miners.
The sample miner will be availble in April and the chips would be AM's Gen3.

specification: AM gen3 chips, 40nm, 1TH, 500W.

A miner which use asicminer gen3 chip now on pre-sale, the poster is very famous in Chinese Bitcoin circle. This is the translation of the weibo post:

Miner presale Details:
Miner price :11000 RMB/T (1813 USD/T), full payment in advance.
Power consumption: 600W/T.
If a single miner's speed doesn't meet the design requirements, or beyond the design requirements, in accordance 11000RMB / T price, refund for any overpayment or a supplemental payment for any deficiency.
If you order more than 10T , it is 10000RMB/T.
April 20 is the deadline, if not shipped on time, we'll give you a full refund!
Tel: 13581816335 Zhao Dong's QQ group: 326548639

In the weibo below, one people replys:
So cheap, is it Asicminer's chip?
Zhao replys:"Yes"
Then he ask again:
Asicminer's gen3 haven't tapeout yet, can it mass production in April?
Zhao replys:"Almost"

Sorry for my poor English translation, the original weibo can be found here:
http://weibo.com/1658066713/AwIw85hLy

I have snapshoted the weibo and the chat.

Actually I don't think they will use chips from AM in the first patch of miner.

FYI, they have their own ASIC chips and it is already taped out.

Zhao is the owner of the miner company.
They don't have their own asic, and Zhao stated clearly they will use asicminer's chip.

Indeed they have ordered wafers from AM, but AM is NOT their ONLY supplier.

According to what he said in a QQ group, their have their OWN chips and would also order chips from KnC and Avalon.

April 20 is not the deadline for shipment, but for the launch of their own hosting service.

Estimated delivery date is from Apr. 20 to 27. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I didn't notice they mentioned KnC. You are right, AM is not their only chips supplier and they claimed they have their own chips.

Is this legit?

If so how do I buy one?

Seems like a great deal. Half the price of a knc neptune and less power consumption.

they accept hosting miners for their customers, but you need to pay for the electricity fee, about 0.15 dollar per KWH
